Why is the adobe acrobat customer service so bad?

Why is the adobe acrobat customer service so bad? They dont even have a phone number. I tried waiting on chat and tried logging in 3-4 times but no response at all. I want to cancel a yearly subscription and they said, there is no penalty if cancelled with in first 30 days but no body is responding at all. Sheer waste of time. Is this how Adobe support also works

    The first article has a lot of good troubleshooting steps that might help. The second article actual lists a couple of plugins that can be used for opening PDF files. I'd give both of them a try just in case.

  • Why does the Adobe Acrobat plugin crash everytime I open a PDF?

    I am currently running the Firefox 11.0, which is the most up-to-date version as of this writing. Every time I open a PDF file, it says that "Adobe Acrobat plugin has crashed". I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, which came as part of my school's standard software package. The Mozilla website says I have the most up-to-date version of the Acrobat plugin.
    P.S. I recently updated my version of Adobe Reader X to try to fix the problem, but that didn't work. I'm not entirely sure how Reader is related to Acrobat, so I don't know if that would affect my ability to read PDFs in Firefox.

  • Why does the Adobe Acrobat DC Update Fail on a Mac Running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2?

    I don't have Adobe Acrobat installed anymore, yet CC is still telling me I need to update Adobe Acrobat DC. When I try to update it, it gets to 35% and fails, every time. I've tried quitting and reopening CC; quitting CC, deleting the OOBE folder in my profile, and reopening CC. Regardless, it fails. Here's the output:

    Could you please retry after restarting the system. This should be fixed now.
    If this issue does not get resolve even after restart then please share the following details :
    1. Operating System information.
    2. Do you have any previous version of Acrobat installed?
    3. Share PDApp.log file from ~/Library/Logs, Acrobat Installer logs (Adobe Setup Error.log and Adobe Acrobat DC 15.007.20033 <Date>.log.gz) from /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers and install.log from /var/log.
    4. proxy.xml if present in /tmp/58A66F1A-A7D8-4523-AC9C-AF23DB3337F3/proxy.xml .

  • Dear Apple, Why is your post sales customer service so bad?

    I am very new to Apple, after 2 weeks I have enjoyed my iPhone 4 so far but the 1st problem (Apple ID Disabled) is a nightmare to resolve. A search on these forum shows this is a regular issue. Apple do not seem to have implemented the systems to deal with this appropriately. I have changed my password, completed their web form 3 times and contacted Apple support by phone. No one is helping me. I was seriously considering the iPad 2 as I had found the iPhone so usable but without access to app store for updates or itunes its just another phone. No iPad for me I think.
    If anyone knows of a quick way to get Apples attention to resolve this then I would be grateful for the steer.

    I also facing the same issue with Adobe reader 9.5.4 version update.
    Previous Version installed: 9.5.3
    AcroRd32.exe - File Version 9.5.3.305
    AcroRd32.dll - File version 9.5.3.305
    After update installation to 9.5.4, add or remove program shows latest version but exe and dll is not updated. Vulnerability assessment tools based on file version check identifies patch is still missing. Becomes a HEAD ACHE.
    Adobe Reader 9 > Help > About Adobe Reader 9 - First shows version 9.5.4, if your click on it instead of showing AGM version next it shows version 9.5.3.305.
    I tested for all previous versions of 9x, works fine in each update. Seems like patch is missing codes for updating file versions.
    Waiting for an acknowledgement.

  • Adobe's customer service is non-existent

    Sometime last year Adobe's systems were hacked, logins and passwords were stolen along with credit card numbers. My only CC on file with Adobe had expired so I didn't have any bogus charges, but my personal information had all been changed. My name, my address, city, everything. Also, my registered products disappeared. I had CS4, CS5.5 and CS6, as well as Lightroom 4, all gone. So my guess is that some crook took my serial numbers and now somebody else is using my license.
    So far I haven't had problems installing the software, last time I did was after the hack, but there's a possibility that some day I will have to install these products and I can't because Adobe flagged my serials as pirated. So that would force me to be on the phone for half while they put me on hold ten times (in my experience with Adobe's customer service that's not out of the question) and have to take pictures of the packaging of my products to verify that the software is really mine.
    To add insult to injury, several months ago I posted this same thing in these forums, and someone from Adobe's staff told me to send them a PM with my information and that he was going to put my registered products back in my account. I rarely log into my Adobe account, but today I did, and under registered products I still have nothing listed.
    So fat chance I'll ever upgrade to Creative Cloud when their servers are so vulnerable, and their customer service so bad. Imagine that I'm using CC, then my account gets hacked and suddenly it shows that I don't have CC anymore. So the next time I try to use Premiere it doesn't open because it checks with the licensing server and it says that I don't have a license.
    Every forum I go I read people completely dissatisfied with Adobe, and based on my experience it's not hard to see why.

  • Adobe your customer service for DPS is beyond atrocious.

    Can you please help me understand why when I call your customer service regarding pricing and digital publishing suite that not a single soul in that building knows anything about the products within the company they work.  This is absolutely ridiculous.
    Ever since the "new pricing" took effect... we have still been getting billed the old rate. We have been trying to get this rectified with someone at Adobe but of course you make it impossible to actually speak to anyone in North America.
    We have an invoice number, a purchase order number, contract number, customer number, bill to number...
    all these numbers but yet... no phone number to actually speak to someone to answer questions regarding billing. There is not even a phone number on the invoice you send me.
    you should be ashamed.

  • The lies that customer services reps tell you.

    My horrible experience with Verizon customer service today, 3 different representatives completely lied to me and told me 3 different instructions on how to get the new iPhone 6 plus which resulted in me losing my whole day for nothing. Only to have a Verizon customer service supervisor tell me that there was no records of any of my conversations with any of these customer service reps. Needless to say as a customer I am so unhappy with the way I have been treated and  lied to that I don’t even feel safe keeping my service with Verizon. I am afraid and that the next time I call with a question I now have no trust in anything that a Verizon customer service rep tells me. Read the below for details in my awful and exhausting expertise with Verizon today. 
    Today I went down to the Apple store to edge up my phone to the new iPhone 6 Plus. If you are told that you can do this as well think again. I know Apple has restricted when the new phones are available for the cell phone providers but they should have thought of a way for customers to more easily get phones through the Apple store since they don’t have it. To start this story off I had pre ordered the new iPhone 6 plus back in the beginning of September which I was going to have it shipped to the address I was living at. The pre order was not going to make it to me until October 28. Well last week I had to move and needed to change my shipping address. So when I called Verizon they said that they would have to cancel my order and re do it all over again in order to change the address, this sent my shipping date of the pre order back to October 31. I then asked if I were to find the phone at the Apple store sooner could I cancel this order and get it there. I was told that I would be able to go into the Apple store and get the phone if they got it in stock before I received my pre order. This morning I attempted to do exactly that. I called the Apple store to see if they had the iPhone 6 Plus in stock and they did, which has been hard to find lately. I then proceeded and called Verizon to cancel my pre order and ask about how I would go about getting my phone at Apple.  The person I talked to said that when I got to the Apple store and got my phone and before I paid all I need to do was call Verizon back and that they would work out a way to pay my remaining balance on my edge phone. I then drove 20 miles to the Apple store and did what I was told and called Verizon when I got there, they said that what the other person from Verizon said was not true. This new person told me what I had to do now was go to the Verizon store and pay my remaining balance and turn my phone in. Then I would be able to go back to Apple and get the new phone and keep my edge plan. At this point from talking to many people with Verizon and having to re explain what I was try to do, I asked this guy to put a note in my account of what he told me. This way when I got to the store they would know what I was trying to do. So I drove 5 miles back from where I came and got to the Verizon store, not a dealer the actual store, and talked to a sales associate who then told me there wasn’t a way for them to do what the guy on the phone said they could do. I was told by this sales associate and a manager that their system would only let me pay my remaining balance singularity, that the only way their system would let me pay my remaining balance to edge up was if I was getting the phone through them at the Verizon store. This didn’t make any since to me because I was still getting my plan though Verizon just not through that particular store. I began to get a little upset and told the sales associate to call Verizon and ask them what to do because every person I talked to on the phone though Verizon told me that I would be able to get my phone at Apple and edge up. They didn’t call at first instead they kept trying to get it to work though their system. The manager then told me again that they couldn’t do it and I insisted that they call Verizon and figure this out because I have driven so far and canceled my pre order to trade in my phone and now I am being told I cant. The manager then walked away and told his sales associate to call them. After waiting another 20 minutes for Verizon to answer the two associates talked about what I was trying to do and this new person on the phone wanted to talk to me. She made me explain my story all over again what I was told and a what I was trying to do and she said that what the people at Verizon store said was true and that they don’t know what the other people were talking about and that I can’t pay my remaining balance on my phone do I could edge up and get my phone at the Apple store. I told her then why has everyone been telling me I can, she said I don’t know, I told her that wasn’t good enough. By this time I was really upset and started to raise my voice a little bit. I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years and I know that when a customer is yelling at you it’s a bit unnerving. So I kept my cool as much as I could and didn’t swear or anything. I merely made my point that this wasn’t right and that I felt much abused as a customer. There is no reason why I should be lied to by more than one person, if I would have known that I couldn’t at first then I would have been just fine waiting until the end of October to get my pre order. Though I got so excited that the Apple store had the phone that I wanted and that Verizon told me I would be able to go down there and get it and then I rushed through my job, skipped lunch and canceled an appointment to do this just to find out I was lied to and sent on a wild goose chase, this just wasn’t right. While I had the latest person on the phone I asked if my calls have been recorded and noted to see if there was any documentation as to what I have been told and she said no there wasn’t, I told her that this was unacceptable from a customer service stand point. So I left the Verizon store really unhappy, upset and empty handed. The impression I got from both the sales associate from the store and this new person on the phone was that they wanted to make sure that the money I would pay for the phone went to them and not someone else. Which is poor customer services ethics. Also I lost my place in line for the pre order and would probably have to wait even longer to get it. So now I am beating if I should just cancel my line and get the phone through a different provider that won’t send me through the ringer when I call customer service.

    When I try to open a PDF file I get this message:
    "The Adobe Acrobat ?Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser.  Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required.  Please exit and try again.
    I have downloaded the Adobe Reader 9.2..... but I still get this message????
    Why do I keep getting this message?

    Uninstall Reader. Use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Tool. They try re-installing Reader 9.2

    When I try to update my copy of Adobe Reader, I get
    Error 1923: Adobe Acrobat Update Service (AdobeARMService) could not be installed.
    Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services.
    This occurs even when I run the install program with "Run as Administrator".
    And it occurs for release 11 and the older release 10.
    How do I get around this problem?

  • Why is the Adobe PDF Create add-in no longer supported by FF 25?

    I am using FF 25 on a Windows 7 Pro x64 system. Recently, I did an OS reinstall and with it a reinstall of Firefox. After importing my old profile, I noticed that the Adobe PDF create button was missing. This is a very handy application in my daily workflow.
    Going to the Add-ons manager, I noticed that the Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF 1.0 add on is disabled in FF 25. Why was support removed for this?
    I tried using another PDF add-on, but it caused the browser to hang and it had to be removed. Is there a reliable option for saving a web page as a PDF? (other than using a Mac).

    That message means the addon needs to be updated to be compatible with the latest version, if that addon is essential, you can revert to a older version.
