Workflow not trigerring for Clock-in/clock new entries or corrections

Dear All,
I am using the workflow ws12300111 template for clock-in/clock out for approval to manager. Is this appropriate one or anything else is available, whenever i raise request for the clock-in/clock out change in ess a new request is getting generated in UWL of MSS but it is not showing the clock-in/clock out change request for approval.

It is the correct WF, as there is no other wf available for it
You need to use the report RPTCORAPP
In order to approve the request you have to use the back end report. It
can approve the requests with the work flow as well.
We would recommend you to use the
report for the clock in clock correction approval as there is no
specific I view available for this as it might be cumbersome for the
Manager to do mass approval.

Workflow not trigerring for BO : ZFIPP ( FIPP )

Hello Fiends ,
I have an issue with the Workflow not getting triggered.
The setup is working fine on development system , but not on test system.
Have created a custom BO : ZFIPP for FIPP and workflow template for FIPP - create and change event.
The event linkage has been activated on SWE2 . The workflow template has no issues. I have tested using SWUE and am able to create a workitem . We are using FM :SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT_IBF to create the event.
But , When i park a document using FV50 t.code , the workflow does not trigger . Also , I tried testing the BO : ZFIPP with the parked document , Its not able to find the data from the workflow tables.
Please assist.

Hi,
Follow Amandeep Singh's previous post. If EXIT_SAPLF051_002, EXIT_SAPLF051_002 are not raising exceptions, see if the functional configurations under the below path is right. Better to take a functional consultant's help.

Verify release from amount and the workflow ID entered in the detail screen of OBWA.

OTL Error - Hrs - Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry

Hi,
We had a few new people start just before xmas however when the person entering their record did it, they didn't date-track the additional assignment time information record to the start of the week (they did however correctly date-track their employee and assignment record) so when the timecard was filled in errors were thrown up.
Since then I have gone back into the employees assignment time record, purged it and then re-created it effective from the week beginning.
However when we try to enter time for them now using delegated self service, the following error is shown for the two days which were originally excluded from the date-tracked record:
Hrs - Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry Cause: The link has been purged or date effectively deleted. Action: Check the effective start and end dates on the link definitions for this element. The original record should have been created from the 19th dec 2009 however was done from the 23rd by accident. I have since been in and replaced it with a record effective from the 19th.
I have re-run the security list generation (we are using static list).
The only thing I can find on metalink is 372086.1 which doesn't really describe the problem or help!!
The people don't appear in the timekeeper form though which is strange. I really can't see any reason why their record isn't valid - no data is missing. Do I need to run a job to update the information or something?

Well would you believe it!? After much late night meddling around, I noticed one employee worked! There was absolutely no difference in any settings between his record and a persons who did not work. So I went into another employees record, changed his name and saved (correcting). Tried again and he worked fine! So, just by changing the employee name it seems to have worked for self service! I still cannot see them in timekeeper which is worrying however at least we can get time in for them now!
If anyone knows why I may not be able to see them in timekeeper (even using an un-secured responsibility) then that would be a great help! :)

API error: Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry

I am trying to create an element using the API_PAY_ELEMENT_ENTRY.CREATE_ELEMENT_ENTRY API
While I am able to create many elements for years this way, for one particular non-recurring element I get the following error
ORA-20001: Element link does not exist for the duration of the entry
Cause: The link has been purged or date effectively deleted.
Action: Check the effective start and end dates on the link definitions for this element.
I have checked evertything and the Link is defined far before my element entry starts and with no end date. The assignment I want to attach this element entry is perfectly eligible.
The weirdest is that I am able to create this element entry with the values I want and the dates I want through standard User interface...
Any idea?

EHp4 NEw ECM Workflows not trigerring from portal

CL_HRECM00_WORKFLOW_EVENT This is the class used to trigger the workflow and the workflow templates are
WS04000022
WS04000023
WS04000024
WS04000025 and these are having only notification steps and wait for events.
When we do the test Run in R/3 events gets triggered and workflow is running sucessfully but from the portal Event is not trigerring to start the Workflow.
please guide.

I think the problem could be missing configuration in UWL configuration file which is uploaded via
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Universal Worklist
and Workflow -> Universal Worklist Administration.
I am not sure how UWL team delivers this code for new work items - its possible a CSS message is needed to investigate this

Workflow not triggered for BUS2014

Hi experts,
I have created a workflow to send a mail to SAP inbox whenever a contract is created. I have tried using BUS2014 , but workflow is not trigerred. But wen BUS2012 is used WF is trigerred. But this WF sends mail on both PO and contract creation. Is der any other objects to use instead of BUS 2014 ?

1)First try to get unique event for your requirement(Only contract creation).
2)If you are not finding any standard unique event find the enhancement point or BTE while saving contract.
3) Create custom event name in ZBUS2014.use this event inside your workflow.Create a same custom event using FM 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE' inside the enhancement point of BTE.

ECR/ECO Workflow not working for multiple Objects

Hello all,
We have implemented ECR/ECO workflow by customizing the SAP standard one. We are facing a problem when entering multiple ECO objects such as mutiple Documents, materials, BOMs etc. When we create the ECR, two parralel workflow start (one for ECM and other for ECO) and depending on how many ECO objects we have included, multiple instances of ECO workflows will trigger (I think this is the standard behaviour as well but not sure)
In our workflow, we have a wait step in ECO workflow that waits until ECM has been converted into ECO (ECOP status) and starts the ECO workflow. Also, we have created a Wait step in ECM workflow and that waits until the ECO workflows have reached the CONFIRMATED Step when the processing of the objects are finished.
When we enter one object, both workflows start and ECO waits until ECM has been converted into ECO and then start the processing the Objects. when the ECO workflow is done (Status confirmated), it switches back to ECM workflow and then goes on with Close/Release steps of the Objects/ECO etc.
But, when we have multiple ECO objects, both start well as ECR converts to ECO and the ECO starts and then work items are processed but then stops just before the CONRIMATED steps even though all objects are changed/maintained properly and ECO workflows are completed. As a result, the control doesn't refer back to ECM and we never get the ECO close and Release step work items.
I have checked SWETYPV, SWEL, business objects ECM and ECO but nothing gives a result..
Any help would be appreciated..

Include not trigerred for BADI BADI_ORDITM_CHANGE

i have place an include in the badi BADI_ORDITM_CHANGE, with interface name /DSD/IF_EX_SL_FSR_DEFFMT_P, when i am doing final settlement in transaction /N/DSD/SL_COCKPIT, it's not trigering my code at all. there was an OSS NOTE for that which is "930654" which was implemented.
can anyone help me on this please??

This can be achieve with the following logic.
Assign an authorization key to the characteristics which you want to control and assign the key to the user profile.
Once the authorization key is assigned, you can proceed with the following :-
Hit USRBF2 table which contains the information on Authorization object and Authorizations for an User.
From the table USR12, you can get the authorization values for the user specific authorization object and authorization combination.
Based on the authorization or authorization values you can restrict the users to enter the data in the characteristic fields by writing the code in the BADI's like CACL_CHARACTER_INPUT or CACL_VALUE_CHANGE

Workflow not starting for a customized Application

It is a simple Applictaion but the Workflow not starting. when we submit the the form after filling up the form the error is showing as Check supervisor error. But the data in the system is showing the Correct supervisor. The Activity ins the Workflow details is showing as Stuck and Error.

Workflow not working for users across domains

The workflow that i have created works perfectly for me, but they work intermittently for my colleague who sits in another country and hence domain.
They sometimes work for him, when he creates a new item but they don't work most of the time and below is the error that he gets.

I'm not much in to SharePoint. Me and my colleague have just front end access to the site, we can't access the server. We both are SCA on the site. We are just geographically apart.
All we can do is "SharePoint Branding". Does this make any sense ? Sorry if couldn't give you much information.
I designed some SP2013 workflows and they don't always work for my colleague. When i go to Designer -> All files -> workflows, i don't see any of my SP2013 workflows, i see only SP2010 Workflows.
I will try to contact the team that has got the server access and will convey them your inputs.

Workflow not working for multiple line items

Hi gurus,
we are working on ECN/ECO workflow.
Once ECN is created in CC01, our workflow triggers.
we are calling subflow from main WF for enhancing the materials of the Engineering change number(ECN).
Subflow will take the material to different departments for enhancing the views like,
Purchasing views by purchasing dept,
quality views by quality dept,
sales views by sales dept,
etc.
This whole process is working fine, if there is single material number in ECN.
But, if there are 2 material numbers, the control is not returning back to MAIN WF from Subflow.
do we need any config/setup to make it work. (we are using block while calling subflow).
Any help will be of gr8 use.

Groups functionality in BPEL humal workflow not work for Third party LDAP

Hi,
Oracle Virtual Directory(OVD) configured as third party LDAP was integrated
with BPEL human worklist and corresponding tasks were assigned to a
particular group using the human task editor. When the members in the group as
present in OVD logged in to the BPEL human workflow console the assigned
tasks are not visible to the particular user whereas logged in as bpeladmin can
able to view the task for the group and the associated users. The same when
tested with the default JAZN authentication the functionaliy is working fine. We
are not able to assign any tasks to the members associated to the groups. Also
tasks assigned to individual users directly are found to be working with OVD
integrated.

PR Workflow Not Working For Continuous Two Rejection

Hi All ,
I have configured PR Workflow and its working fine for Forward Release i.e IF there are 4 level of approval and every one goes on releasing , its working fine.
But if 4th of the Actor Rejects , it goes to Third actor . But if now 3rd Actor rejects , its gets structed here . Its not getting complete .
Note that the same task is getting triggered at all the time but one time its completed and 2nd time its not completing .
Any idea why this is happening .

At the time of rejection Rejection_start event gets triggered . I have created a seperate workflow for Rejection which resets the last release and once again calls the Release Workflow with the resetted release code .
So its sends the workitem to the previous person . But now when this person rejects the PR , the workitem is not getting complete .
I dont know why even the task is same in both the cases.

Workflows not created for timecards submitted

We have an issue with workflows.
When employees submit their timecards, some of them randomly do not have associated workflows created. The submitted timecards are just stuck in 'SUBMITTED' status.
The workaround is for the preferences for the employees with this issue to be updated so they can resubmit timecards which are in 'SUBMITTED' status so the employee can resubmit his/her timecards. This time, the associated workflows are created fine.
Has anyone else come across this issue? Any idea why this is happening?

Are you using the Workflow Background Process or do you have 'OTL: Defer approval process on timecard submission' System Profile set to No? There could be a delay in the notifications being sent if you have the WBP set on autoscheduler to only run at certain times. I would suggest changing the profile option instead if you haven't already, this means notifications are always sent immediately without delay.
If this is all fine, are you receiving an error in the workflow before resubmission?

Workflow not triggered for BP when start condition's field is set by BADI

Hi guys,
I have created a workflow and given the start Event "Changed" of object BUS1006. In this I have given a start condition which triggers this event when a particular field on transaction BP is populated.
Now the problem is that when I myself explicitly populate the field and press save the workflow is triggered fine, but when I populate that field automatically in a Save BADI (BUPA_GENERAL_UPDATE), the workflow is not triggered. Tcode swel just returns the msg that Start condition returns 'FALSE' for object.
Can someone please help me in this or let me know where I can find its cause in system.
Any help would be really appreciated.

If this is just one field, create your own custom event and code launching it when saving BP with your field changed.
Maybe event Changed is executed only for changes in GUI.
If you program your own one you will have 100% control of it.
