0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved) No of records are wrong

Hi Experts,
we need to extract the data from 0ca_ts_is_1(Time sheet data (Approved) but the problem is the no of records in the table CATSDB with status is 849 but in RSA3 (0ca_ts_is_1) there are 500 records only.
could you kindly suggest me any OSS notes please.

in BW you will see only the time sheet data wich are ok, that means , which have been confirmed (Approve?)

what is the level on granularity in CATSDB
Is all the fields in this table are seen in the datasource 0ca_ts_is_1
If some fields are missing the data is summarized to the next available level of granularity
You can see the combined totals of table contents and RSA3 total contents of certain key figures to ensure this

Approve Time Sheet data

I am getting problem when trying to "Approve Time Sheet data " from MSS. I am not using Work flow but the link given in MSS Team. When i am clicking on the link the first page is comming and i can see the requested working time for approval. But when i click on the review an error occured. the details is:

From R3 by ST22 i checked the error. Its like...

Employee Search in MSS Approve Time Sheet Data (Net Weaver Portal 2004s)
In MSS we need upper level managers to be able to approve time for employees who reside in lower level org units and are not the managers direct reports. This is usually the case when the chief the employees do report to directly is absent.
In the MSS Team view the links General Information, Compensation Information and Personnel Development have an Employee Search iView with a dropdown containing options for Direct Reports, Employees from Organizational Structure, Employees from Organizational Units and Employee Search. We have been told that in previous versions of MSS that functionality existed in the Approve Time Sheet Data iView as well which would appear to solve our problem.
Is this functionality available in Approve Time Sheet Data and if so how is it configured? Or is there another way (other than manipulating the org structure) for managers to view non-direct reports and approve their time?

Transferring Time Sheet Data to Controlling/Financial Module

All:
I have an issue I am entering data via CAT2 and have supplied a receiver cost center, using wage type MI10 and entered times 8 hours per day. I have entered salary data into the basic pay via Personnel Management. I have approved the time sheet data but it appears that it is only relevant for transfer to the HR module and not the CO module. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am attempting to use these modules to record actual hours worked and associated wage rates then post entries to CO for reporting.

Sorry I wasn't clear it appears that it is not available for transfer to controlling. It appears it is only building the data structures for transfer in HR and not CO. I get the message "No data for transfer" it appears once I approve the time sheet data it creates intermediate structures/table for transferring to other modules and is only creating the structure/table for HR. I can successfully transfer data to HR but not CO. What data on the time sheet entry triggers it to build the CO structures/tables.

I need to transfer CATS data to FICO. I found out about transaction CAT7.
At the moment, I have 2 issues:
1) My CATSDB data have status "30". However, there is no corresponding entries in CATSCO. Could you tell me what I need to do to ensure that CATSCO has values?
2) My FICO system is running on 4.6C whereas my HR system is running on ECC6.0. Can CAT7 still works?

Notification to Manager if task/Time sheet not approved in Project Server 2013

is there any option if any user(Resource) updated his/her task & sent to his/her Manager for approval
and Manager is not approved ( say in said timeline or days) then some notification should go to one step up (as Reporting Manager of that Manager who not approved task update & time sheet) in Project Server 2013?

A solution could be to create email subscriptions on an SSRS report containing the non-approved task updates by manager.

Monthly Time Sheet Dates

I am building a monthly time sheet. I need all the dates to populate once the initial date is chosen by the user. I have this working properly for each month that has 31 days. For months with 30 days, it populates the first day of the next month. How do I make sure that the only the dates for the month selected are populated?

don't take this the wrong way, I know you are trying to help, but that wasn't helpful in the slightest. Yes I realise that they don't know me personally, and hence don't know what my actual birthdate is. When I fill in online forms I generally do them accurately. I have no idea how they have it wrong, but what I was really alluding to was, can someone please tell me how to contact Apple so they can do it manually. this is doing my head in royally, since I cant download any apps etc on any of my apple stuff, as my account has been frozen.

Issue with time sheet data source

Hi All,
We are on ECC 5.0.
I am trying to load CATS timesheet data into BW thorugh data sources 0CA_TS_1 (approved time). This data source fetches data from CATSDB table.
In CATSDB there is a good amount of data with Status '30' i.e. 'Approved'.
However on running RSA3 checker this datasource is returning 0 records.
The only SAP note most relevant was 509592. But it is valid for older versions.
The ECC HR is on Level 10 and support pack SAPKE50010.
This issue has been unresolved in previous threads.
Please suggest any solution. Its urgent. Points for sure.

Time Sheet - Data Entry Profile(T-Code CAT2)

Hi All,
I have 4 data entry profiles in the system and will like to delete 2 of them as they are no longer required. If somebody had booked time (in past) by using the profile which I want to delete, will it have any kind of impact. Please advice whetehr it is safe to delete the profiles.

Not that I am aware of either - just checking a where used on the data element didn't reveal anything either.
Please bear in mind the following before deleting the profile however - What the profile is used for is to define whether data can be entered for just individual employees or groups of employees, what deata can be maintained, whether the timeframe is weekly or monthly and whether the data is subject to approval. All things tho consider when deleting any - to make sure the business needs can still be met and also there can be specific auths to certain time profiles to allow only certain employees to enter certain data etc.

Cancellation of time sheet data

Hi,
Functionality exists in SAP to remove recorded time records in
CATS. The standard program that picks up data from the infotype
tables and uploads to the infotypes reads the STOKZ field in the
interface table PTEX2000 and removes records with STOKZ=X from
the infotypes.
In order to identify which record from the infotype that should
be removed the AWKEY field is used in the PTEX2000 table. To
remove a record on the infotype there needs to be two records in
the PTEX2000 table, one original record (STOKZ is blank) and one
removal record (STOKZ=X)and these records need to have the same
AWKEY.
This process works fine when using CATS for reporting. However we
are using an external time reporting tool. When uploading the
record into the interface table PTEX2000 an AWKEY is assigned by
SAP. When uploading a deletion record (STOKZ=X) we have a
problem. The AWKEY needs to be the same as the original record
already in the table. The external system does not keep track of
the AWKEY records in the PTEX2000 table therfore a new AWKEY is
generated for the deletion record.
When running the RPTEXTPT program that will upload to the
infotypes and thus also should delete the unwanted records there
is a problem. The program cannot find the corresponding record
on the infotypes and thus nothing is removed.
So, my question is basically, does anyone have experience of
cancellation of reported time records when working with an
external time reporting tool. If so how do we make it possible
to delete records that have been received from external systems
without knowing the AWKEY?

Are you entering time against a WBS element or a network activity? If you enter time against a network activity, CADO won't show the WBS element. You can only see rolled-up costs on the WBS in structure/hierarchy reports such as CNS41 after posting time/confirmations to the project using CAT5.
