1.4.2_01 and 1.4.1_01 jar cache doesn't seem to be working
I am having a hard time getting the .jar cache to work with the 1.4.2_01 and 1.4.1_01 plugins.
Here is my applet:

You will need to compile this class and put it in a TestApplet.jar file in the same directory that the html file is in. Delete TestApplet.class just for good measure.

Now, I hope that I'm missing something really stupid here, but when I run this with the 1.3 plugin, the applet clearly states that the class file is loaded from the cached .jar file. For example, it prints out that the class file was loaded from:
jar:file:/C:/WINNT/Profiles/xxxx/java_plugin_AppletStore/1.3.1_09/jar/TestApplet.jar19890069901.1.1.22036068943678200358.jar!/TestApplet.class
But when I run this code with the 1.4.2_01 or 1.4.1_01 plugin I get this:
jar:http://localhost/TestApplet.jar!/TestApplet.class
and my access log files show this file getting loaded over and over and over again. Using the cached_archive_ex param doesn't help either.
This is a over simplified example of a problem that is forcing my huge applet to run at 1/3 to 1/4 the speed that it should because of class loader thrashing due to excessing jar file loading.
Have I missed something obvious?

i don't know but i encountered the same caching problems when plugin version 1.4.2_01 is used.
Facts:
-> jar Size: 1MB
-> Added Parameters:
<PARAM NAME="cache_archive" VALUE="xxxx">
<PARAM NAME="cache_version" VALUE="4.1.1.266">
<PARAM NAME="cache_option" VALUE="Plugin">
-> Cache is set to unlimited
No matter if jar-File is already stored in the cache the parameter "Cache-Control: no-cache" is set in the HTTP-Header.
I have not found anything preventing this yet.

After copying a movie to the harddisk of my MacBook I wanted to also copy it to my iPad, but for this you first have to copy it to the library in iTunes, but this doesn't seem to be working. So how can I get this movie to the library ? And to the iPad ?

Apple made some sort of programming change on 12.26.12 to their iTunes system that suddenly made the Buy button non-functional specifically in the directly-out-of-the-box Snow Leopard (10.6.3). [I had Leopard, same as you, 10.5.8, and that was still working then. I installed Snow Leopard a couple of days ago to my MacBook, and discovered the Buy Button didn't work.
First step: Pull down "Software Update" from the Apple menu (that annoying thing we always ignore.) If you're using Snow Leopard 10.6.3, it'll upgrade you for free to 10.6.8, and that should solve your iTunes problem. (I don't know if there are any upgrades for 10.5.8, but unlike the other ungodly system upgrades, Snow Leopard is only $20. Because Apple is growing increasingly stupid, you can't buy it online--you have to call customer care.)

Sorry but that makes no sense at all. How can they possible know what things will possible malfunction on your device? Anything that they think is highly likely to malfunction they would have addressed in desiging and manufacturing the device in the first place, during development. They've made and sold many millions of iPhones, and many of them have lasted years without any problems (I know, I've owned such iPhones personally). So how could they possible know if yours was any more likely to develop any issues than any of those other trouble free ones?
It's hardware - stuff sometimes breaks randomly. No amout of money ever guarantees or even reduces the likelyhood of random product failures.
Take it in to Apple and see about getting it fixed. -

There are no antivirus apps for any iDevice

Soft and hard reset for time machine doesn't seem to work does anyone have suggestions?
I have tried to use a soft reset according to the language on the apple site by using a pin to push the button for a second even up to a minute but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions for either a hard or soft reset? I did get a new router Netgear wireless extreme thus I'm only using the time capsule portion instead of the wireless router.
Tell us what happens when you press in the reset.. you should feel the switch click.. but don't press too hard or you will break the plastic lever arm.
Connect the TC directly to the Mac by ethernet and open airport utility.
Can it find the TC.. if so you can do a factory reset from the utility instead. If it cannot find it.. try again with the reset.. you need to hold in reset for about 10-15 sec. The front led will begin to flash rapidly. Release it at that point. -

Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. I don't know how to go back to recreate the situation, which I'm SURE is going to keep right on occurring, and then get right back here to let you know the EXACT details. I don't know if something serious has occurred that demands immediate attention, or what. Please and thank-you in advance for any assistance y'allcan provide me with.
If the phone was jailbroken, there is nothing we can do for you. It may be permanently bricked due to damage done by the jailbreak.
You can try putting it in DFU mode and restoring. If that doesn't fix it, then it's most likely scrap now.

I select 'check for updates' and it will not display anything other than 'checking for updates...' below the button. I do not see any internet traffic in the status bar as it does this. Also, I have left it to 'check for updates' all night, to no avail. Any definitive answers would be great. I have searched extensively to find where the update channels are located and those, and variants like them, proffer no changes in my situation.
I am starting to wonder if it is the program responsible for checking for updates, or if it is the build for nexus-4 that is having the issue.

All help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.I have since changed my build to master, but this time without using mozilla-central as my gecko path. I have had no issues so far with the stability of the master branch, as I did in the past with mozilla-central as the gecko path.
After having done this, and restoring my /data/local and /data/b2g directories, I am now recieving updates. At least, it updated my marketplace after booting for the first time. Also, I am no longer getting the check now stuck at 'checking for updates...'.
So, I am going to call this solved with changing to master, without using my .userconfig. Further, using Michelle's input, I will periodically git pull, repo update, and reconfigure, build, and flash the master branch.

I've tried many different options including calling Apple Customer Support and talking to them for over an hour troubleshooting the issue. They couldn't do anything. I also called Sony who failed as well. Somebody please help me out. Thanks!

To import the AVCHD content from the camera when MPEG-2 content has also been recorded, you must first import and erase the MPEG-2 content from the camera. You should then be able to import the AVCHD content.
