1 Node/ Webcache Port 80/ Apps on Port 7778 and 8080

I have a machine with 3 aliases.
Is it possible to bind multiple ports to webcache running on port 80 and depending on alias have it routed to the correct application and port?
What I want is someone that enters http://app1 to go to port 7778 and http://app2 to go to port 8080.
app1 and app2 both resolve to the same IP address.
I keep getting "Another site with same exists" when trying to set this up.

Got It.
You need to connect to the webcache admin port on 9400 rather than through the EM Application Server management port on 1156.
Once you get there on the left hand side under "Origin Servers, Sites and Load Balancing"
Click on "Site definintions":
Click on "Add Sites":
For "Host Name" Enter app1
For "Port" Enter 80
Click on "Submit"
Repeat the steps above for each application. I entered each app twice once as app1.us.oracle.com and then simply as app1
Once all the application "Sites" are entered click on "Site to Server Mapping"
Select each site you previously entered and click on "Edit Selected"
In the pop-up select "Select from Site Definitions"
Using the drop down box choose the Application/Site you want to map
Scroll down further in the pop-up to "Select Application Web Servers"
Choose the host and port you want associatted with this application/Site
Then click Submit

  • Changing OCS ports 7778 and 7777

    dear all,
i have ocs r2 implemented over linux as3.0, and i want to change the login ports from http://host.domain:7778 to just http://host.domain and as you know the http://host.domain:7778 redirect you to http://host.domain:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
so how can i do that i want every thing without any ports, kinly note that iam in a prodaction environmnet.
    fadi

Thesuggested modification to the Apache-server or the web-cache will allow you to enter an URL without the :7777, but you will then be redirected to 7777 ports. This is fine if you only want to simplify the access.
However, if you want to run everything on port 80, you must apply several changes to your installation. If you have access to metalink, you will find a thorough procedure description in note 272811.1

I will assume that you have the AirPort Utility for Windows installed on your Windows partition ... correct?

Setting up Port Mapping on the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn) takes two basic steps: 1) Reserve an IP Address for the host device that you want to have accessed from the Internet, and 2) Configure the appropriate ports on the AEBSn to pass Internet traffic to this host device.
You will use the AirPort Utility for both steps.
    For the first step:
o AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup > Internet > DHCP > DHCP Reservations
o Click the plus button to add a new DHCP reservation for the wireless bridge adapter. You will need the MAC address of this adapter to assign a Private IP address to.
    For the second step:
o AirPort Utility > Select the AEBSn > Manual Setup > Internet > NAT > Configure Port Mappings
o Click on the plus button to add a port map.
o Select "Personal Web Sharing" for the Service type. This should auto-populate the Public & Private TCP Ports with the value 80.
o Add 8080 to each of these values; place a comma between them.
Your mappings should looks something like the following:
    o Service: Custom...
    o Public TCP Port(s): 80, 8080
o Private IP Address: <enter the DHCP reserved IP address you created earlier>
    o Private TCP Port(s): 80, 8080

  • I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work. Help?

I just restored my 13" MBP i5 at the apple store to the newest version of Lion after issues with a previous Time Machine backup from Snow Leopard- this time I created a new account and just ported files and folders, and now MS Office doesn't work.
^^ that's the main problem. Here's the full history.
I bought a new 13" i5 MBP, early 2011 edition. I had an old white Macbook 2.14 ghz core2duo on Snow Leopard. I attempted to port over my time machine backup, but encountered problems in that my User was inaccessible from the new computer after the import finished, and I had to go in and change the root password, etc, and for some reason or another, I couldn't install any programs at all from that administrator's account. By "couldn't" I mean I could install them, but upon installation they would never boot. So, I took it to the apple store and did a clean install from the most up to date Lion OSX. Then, I created a brand new admin account, instead of trying to import the old one, and things seemed great. Then, I just imported my old files from the TM backup, but not any system settings, permissions, or user data. Just my Docs, pics, vids, apps, and itunes stuff.
Here's where things get weird again. I imported this stuff under the name "old", but all of these folders have a red negative sign on them, marking them as restricted. So, from my main admin account, I cannot even peruse these folders. Since I didn't import user data, I can't sign in to the "old" account to change permissions. I already tried to change the permissions from system preferences, but that didn't change anything. And now, for whatever reason, of all the apps that were imported then, MS Office is the only set of apps that does not work. When I click on it, it just says there was a problem and asks if I'd like to send a report to apple. I tried reinstalling it to no avail. I'm an English student, so i really need access to Word. Can anyone help? The Apple store is a major detour for me and would like to fix this issue myself.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • How to open ports 119 and 443 in my Mac?

I've been trying to use the UseNeXT software with my Mac with no success. I called their support and they told me I need to open the ports 119 and 443. I contact Apple support and they told me that is beyond their scope (???).
Can somebody help me with that? I tried to find it online, but all tutorials that i tried didn't work or are outdated.
    Thanks

    Hi Drew,
It probably depends on the router as to the method used to open the ports.
As I have said elsewhere in the thread the first 1024 ports are open in most router to allow things to work Out of the Box such as Mail (110, 25, 567, 569, 995, 996 and many more ) and web Browsing (port 80 mostly but secure site can use 443) FTP (21 and 22) to name some.
Port Forwarding is one way to open some of the ports for One IP (computer).
Most routers have  table for doing this and this can be limited as to the number of ports included.
This Linksys pic shows how to do it for some as it allows groups based on Start and end ports. However it restricts it to one IP
DMZ is a form of Extreme Port Forwarding that opens all 65535 ports to one IP (Computer)
In both the above cases other computers (IP addresses) are excluded from using the ports.
Port Triggering doe allow multiple computers to access the same Port but requires that you know the lead  - Trigger - port involved for each app.
It is limited by the table size for your particular router.
Same Router in Trigger ports for iChat 3
Most router come with UPnP nowadays.
It is an ON/Off setting that allows the apps on the computer to say which ports are needed and when.
On some you can reduce the time to live  and the Hop amounts.
The ports stay open from a period of normally 30 mins after non use.
    This can be changed.
It also tends to list the number of Hops (the number of devices beyond the UPnP device) that it can be heard.
    My Sky Hub
I have no other router on my network but I do sometimes use Internet Sharing between two computers hence the 2 Hops.
Every other device is only one Hop away from the the router.
There are concerns that the "Advertisement" is seen upstream (internet side) as well as device downstream.
The Concern is that this could be Up to your ISP and then down to the "next" IP end user on the particular router/server at the ISP end.
I have seen no evidence of this being the case.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can we run a site both on port 80 and 443

Running Lion Server 10.7.2 on a Mac Pro
A custom web site runs fine on port 80.  When we set up the same site to also be able to run on port 443 we ran into trouble.  Server.app shows the default machine web site and our two versions of the site on port 80 and 443.  After the 443 site was added and a certificate selected for it, no web pages are being served.
We want our web site to run on 80 and as required 443.  This was easy to set up in Server Admin on 10.6.X
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks - Erich

    John,
Thank you for looking at this.  It seemed odd to me during development that so many features in the GUI had dissappeared.  I hoped that, like some other options, they had just been moved.
I have no trouble with simplification of some features to allow a larger number of users to access the technology but it doesn't make sense that the features be removed outright when they were there in the past and previous users were taking advantage of the ease in setup.  I am curious what the decision making process was like on this.
I'll take a look at Webmin and let you know how it goes.

  • Problems Reading/Writing Parallel Port Data, Status & control Registers Using In Port.vi and Out port.vi

    Hi,
Can anyone there help me Please with the problem. I am trying to
communicate with the parallel port using my program which i have
attached to the message. I am running LabVIEW 7.0 Professional with
application builder. All the program does is reads and writes to the
three parallel port registers. It runs FINE!!! in my computer. But when
i built an executable (see attached) and tried running on a different
computer (with LabVIEW Runtime engine 7.0 installed) the program does
not read/write to the registers. The target PC had the parallel port in
SPP mode just like mine. I can't seem to understand whats going wrong?
Can anyone please help me if you know the right answer.
    Thanks

    Hi Guys,
I too have a problem using "Out Port.vi", but of a diferent kind. I use this VI to control the  Parallel Port which in  turn controls a small circuit. I use only two data pins, DP-2 and DP-4 for this purpouse. I use LV 7.1 Professional Development version in a Windows 2000 operating system. Now, my main problem is that my code runs fine (both is development and .exe forms) in my development computer, but when I try to run the .exe version in  other computers (Windows XP operating system), it asks for a "protocol file" while starting (look at the attached picture).
Now, I really have no idea what kind of a protocol file it asks for and just click "ok" and proceed to work, the most interesting part is that the code works well as I expected. So, my only problem is that it asks for a protocl file which I want to avoid. As with the application building, I do all that is  required like including the sub VIs (self developed), creating an installer, enabling the port access, and creating a proper .ini fine. I also use the Out Port.vi from the AccessHW library.
I have my doubts on two fronts,
    1) With the version conflict, since my development computer runs with Windows 2000 and my target computers all run with Windows XP
    2) With the Out Port.vi which further contains a small VI "Output Word to Port.vi" in it and that further contains Call Library Function Node, which might call soem external files, like what my problem is.(look at the attached picture)
I don't have answers to these questions and may be my problem is in different place, but I would like to hear from anyone who could give me a helping hand. I am in a situation where I could not disclose my code.
    Thanks in advance,
    mohan

  • Small rmi program opens several ports; what and why?

    Hello,
I'm a bit confused about my small rmi program.

I don't know why you think that's unexpected. This particular connection may be for DGC purposes, but there is nothing harmful or unexpected about it. Or it may be a client connection. Which is the entire purpose of the exercise.
Can I avoid thisWhy would you want to avoid it?
or should'nt it disappear after the object is bound ?Why?
why is there suddenly an active connection with 2171 ?Either also for DGC purposes or for a client connection. Why do you think this is a problem?

super(220);Why are you using a reserved port number here? Port 220 is reserved for IMAP v3 servers. See [RFC 1700|http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1700.txt]. Use a port number above 1024 please.
I think you're getting confused because you're running the server and the client on the same host. Run them on separate hosts, then running netstat on the server host will give you a much clearer picture.

  • RV 120W Port Fowarding and remote address

I have a RV120W; configured to perform port forwarding. I have Configured a Port Forwarding and Access Rule
    * Sample Firewall: Access Rules:
Action        | Service | Status  | Connection Type                                | Source IP | Destination IP
    Always Allow  | HTTP    | Enabled | Inbound (WAN (Internet) > LAN (Local Network)) | Any       | <not set>
    Always Allow  | SSH     | Enabled | Inbound (WAN (Internet) > LAN (Local Network)) | Any       | <not set>
    * Sample Firewall:Port Forwarding:
Action           | Service   | Status  | Source IP  | Destination IP      | Forward from Port | Forward to Port
    Always Allow     | HTTP      | Enabled |     Any    | <destination ip>    | <not set>         | <not set>
    Always Allow     | SSH       | Enabled |     Any    | <destination ip>    | <not set>         | <not set>
Everything works, but in my destination server, i see as remote address the IP for the RV120W. I want it to forward also the
originating IP address of the client (the remote address)
Is it possible to configure this?
I have also configured DMZ for my server, but see same behaviour

    Good morning
Hi Bruno, thanks for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. In order to resolve your problem, I have a couple of question for you:
Which services do you want to forward?
Is your ip address static or dynamic? If it is dynamic, are you using a domain?
Could you send us a screenshoot with your firewall configuration?
Could you access to your server in your LAN?
I found a document related to Port forwarding, where you can see how to configure it:

I hope you find this answer useful,

    Hi Auracles1,
Here's a pretty discussion regarding wireless printing with this device and a Mac.

I have a similar OfficeJet and it was a multi-step process. (1) Install printer drivers on the machine, (2) Add the printer queue in print & fax, (3) Run the "setup wizard" from the disc for wireless printing.

  • How can I set up a WD My Cloud with my Airport Extreme - I can't get it to open ports 80 and 443?

For remote internet access to the WD My Cloud Mirror, I have been advised that ports 80 and 443 must be open in order to reach the WDMyCloudMirror.  My Motorola Gateway (Surfboard SB6141) is connected directly to my Airport Extreme (WAN port) which is in turn connected to the WDMyCloudMirror (all by ethernet cables).  I do not have FULL instructions on how to properly manually configure the Airport Extreme to open the ports.  I have tried an earlier posting which provides many of the steps, but not all of the required information is included (how to determinge the IP address to be assigned, etc.).  I did the best I could with the information given, but the test using "YouGetSignal" showed the ports as still closed and attemps to reach the WDMyCloudMirror by the internet failed as well (of course).  The WDMyCloudMirror has enough Apple "stuff" included in it (software, I suspect) that an Apple legal acceptance is required for its set-up, yet Western Digital Tecnical Support is unable (or unwilling?) to help with this aspect of its configuration required to work within the Airport Extreme environment.  I have returned the WD My Cloud Mirror to Amazon as "not able to work", but I have not given up the hope that I can eventually get the ports open so that I can get this cloud device, or one similar, to permit remote internet access.

Port Forwarding.....or Port Mapping....as Apple calls it is a difficult and complex configuration method for most users. Because there are so many variables involved in this type of setup, it is not possible to provide a step by step guide that will work for everyone with all devices.
It is possible that a setup guide exists for the the WD drive and AirPort Extreme, but you will have to go looking for it on the Internet. Even if you find one, it may not be tailored to your specific situation or needs.
Sometimes, you can do everything right....at least according to someone's article or "how to" guide, and things still will not work correctly.
In situations like this, when you really don't know what to do, you need to enlist the aid of an IT pro, who will know what to do based on your particular products and unique circumstances. Sometimes....they won't be able to get things working either due to particular circumstances.
But, before you do this, I would strongly recommend that you use a Static IP address for your Internet connection with your ISP. If you do not have this now, contact them to ask them if they offer this type of connection. Expect to pay more for this type of service, of course.

  • How can I write to port C and read from port A&B simultaneously using 6503 DIO-24

I attempting to read from Port A and B which are grouped together and at the same time I want to write to Port C. The problem I having now is that every time I want to read from Port A and B, Port C seems to be effected. I have only used the easy dio's vi this may be the root of my prblem

    Hello,
You will need to use the advanced digital VIs to accomplish what you are trying to do.
The Easy DIO VI's are simply a combination of two DIO advanced VI, so you will use the same two advanced VI with a little different calling method. We want to call both PORT Config VI first to configure two ports for read and one port for write. Then we can simply read and write to the ports as desired, perhaps in a loop.
The best place to start would be to look at the LabVIEW examples for Digital Input and Output operations. In LabVIEW, go to Search Examples then under I/O interfaces select DAQ (or Data Acquisition)-> Digital Input and Output->Immediate Digital Input and Output. From her you will want to look at the examples under the 8255 chip which is the chip on
the DIO-24. I would recommend looking at Read from two digtial ports and the Write to one digital port VI's.
From here you will simply need to combine the two together. One note: you will want to make sure that both port config VI are called before either Port Read or Port Write VIs.
