11.2 issue - duplicate entries

Chaulk this up to what seems a host of issues with the newest version.
The other day I updated itunes & podcasts.
But now my iPad Air has 3 of every podcast.
However there is one of each in the Library - go figure.
Oddly though my iPod Nano (8 gen?) lists correctly one each.
I hesitate on uninstalling and re-installing iTunes, fearing the problem will return.
Something I noticed was that I had older episodes prior to the iTunes 11.2 upgrade.
One of my podcasts kept showing as two Podcasts even though they were the same show.
To fix, what I did was (this will involve deleting your podcast items and I'm not guaranteeing anything for your situation)
from iTunesiPhone (device)Podcasts
Ensure 'Sync Podcasts' is checked
Ensure '...automatically includes' is checked
Set to 'all' and 'selected episodes'
(This is not how I had it the way I used iTunes before, but it appears to be the new reality for me and I've somehow adjusted to this)
Ensure check marks are placed on podcasts you want
Sync the device. Then:
from iPhone (device)Delete all entries of the duplicated podcast (chances are, deleting one will cause iOS to delete them all)
from iTunes
Podcasts
ListSelect the affected podcast and expand it
If you have set ratings for your podcast episodes, make note of them all
Select all episodes and deleteDelete the episodes, not the podcast itself
My PodcastsFeedRe-download the latest episode
iPhone (device)Sync the device
What you should now see is just the podcast with one entry and the single episode you had downloaded under 'My Episodes'. If this is what you do see, proceed to download the other episodes you had previously saved and see that your podcast hasn't duplicated.
If this fixed your problem, my explanation based on what I've observed is that iTunes 11.2 had a difficult time matching up the file signatures of the saved podcasts with those online and could only duplicate the entries in your iTunes library as a solution.

If I create an event on my outlook with several guests of my company, when my blackberry sync with my outlook, it create another invitation to all the guests !!
Moreover, if the guests do have a blackberry, when they accept the invitation and when their blackberry sync, it send an invitation to everybody !
Consequence : we have duplicate entries on our blackberry and outlook.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?

IPhone sync issue - duplicate entries
Just sent this feedback to Apple. Wondering if others are seeing this.
Have 8Gb iPhone with 1.1.3. Sync Everything but contacts and calendar with iMAC. Sync contacts and calendar with Outlook on winxp PC. When I change the time of a calendar entry on the iPhone. Sync iPhone with iMAC. Then sync with PC. Pick merge in both cases. A duplicate entry is created in Outlook.
If I change the time of a calendar entry on the iPhone but do not sync with the iMAC, then sync with PC no duplicate entry is produced.Here are a couple of articles from the apple support website that might help out.

Issue:
Duplicate entries in iCal on nano but not in iCal on PowerBook
What I did:
I originally had it iCal set up with Sunday as first day of week. Everything in nano was just peachy. Then I had to go an fiddle with it and made Monday first day of week and now, when I sync, my every-two-week-on-a-Thursday event is showing up on Wed and Thurs. I changed the day of the week back to Sunday but no luck.
Any ideas?

bob.I live between two macs and export and import calendars from each to the other and I have the same problem. I too would like to know how to import without duplicating the same events?

Akonadi database error code: 1062 Duplicate entry for key
Since my email provider migrated their webmail platform, I keep getting an error each time kmail attempts to get emails from their imap server: could not create collection INBOX resourceid: 17
I double checked the provided imap settings have not changed and are correct : imap.laposte.net port 993 using SSL/TLS
As you can see in the pasted akonadi self-test report below, I have a few errors related to innodb, the absence of mysql tables in local/share/akonadi/db_data/ and the table performance_schema having the wrong structure. Those have been there for several months but I've been unable to fix them and I didn't care because my email was working. I suppose they are unrelated to my current issues.
Any help I can get is much welcome.

Address book issues: duplicates and syncing to phone
I know this is a common problem, and why Apple cannot offer a better solution, or system, is frustrating.
The problem is basically multiple entries in my address book.
I know the issue has to do with icloud, but I cannot figure out how to eliminate the multiple entries without going one by one and deleting.
And I hestiate to do this because I am afraid they will come back.
Frankly, I am very frustrated with icloud.
As far as I am concerned it has caused more problems than it is worth.
I am ready to disable it totally.
Problem is, if I do that now, then all of my contacts in my address boook disappear.
Part of the problem,. I know, is that I still have a mobilme account, and somehow I have two icloud accounts.
Question: is there any way to merge my two icloud accounts, so I opnly have one.
Or can I just delete one? If so, how?
Another problem, I cannot get my addresses on my mac to appear in my iphone(4).
I have tried selecting the sync option to replace all addresses on my iphone, one time, with the addresses on the computer, but it doesn't work.
Certain addresses on my computer do not appear on my phone.
The other day, I went to my phone to call a contact andf found I had about 6 entries for every contact.
I had to go in and disable a bunch of accounts, and finally got back to onbe set, but now some contacts are missing.
Why a simple solution to eliminate showing duplicate entries cannot be found is frustrating.
Seems simple to me: if the info is duplicated, don't show it.
Seems like this simpkle rule could also apply to alerts: everytime I get an alert on my phone, it shows up 5 or 6 times in a row.
But that's another post.......Great.
I think the TM restore would have been much quicker. I was under the assumption that everything was good on the Mac address book.
Not sure what happened since then. Did you read my post (at 2:01pm above) before things went wrong?
"Try this. Disable iCloud on your mac. Select to keep contacts on the computer when quiting. Verify address book contains all your contacts. If you don't have a backup such as TM, export address book contacts so you will have a backup.
Your address book should have been correct or you could have corrected the contacts then and you would have had the backup files exported if you didn't have or trust TM.
Go to the iCloud website and delete all contacts there.
At the iCloud website, you should have been able to select all addresses at one time and delete. That would have left no addresses in iCloud. Only addresses left should have been on your Mac from the last step.
Once done, go back and log into iCloud on your computer and merge the contacts. The website should now contain the addresses from your address book.
Unless something else was wrong and creating multiple contacts, the only addresses in iCloud would have been merged from what was in your address book on your computer.
I don't know what happened or where we went wrong. I'll check back in the morning if you post any other info.

Missing and duplicate entries in the calendar
I'm a long time (1997) Palm user who's moved to a BB 8330 last month. I can't seem to get calendar syncing to work correctly. In some instances, I am missing items on Outlook. I often have duplicate entries on the handheld. I've searched the forums and there seem to be similar issues and the solutions appear to be around Service Books, but I'm not confident I have a clue how not to lose lots of info.I also cannot seem to find information that explains the relationship between email addresses & calendar (I don't see why there should be any!!!)
Scenario (trying to answer up front the questions from other forum posts):
I am using Outlook on my home computer to manage my personal calendar. I do not have an email account associated with Outlook.I have set up 2-way sync with Outlook for calendar, tasks & contacts
My work uses Lotus Notes. I have set up one sync to the handheld only from the Lotus Notes calendar
The only email account configured on the BB is a gmail account (which is not associated with either calendar). I originally set this up via the wizard, then removed it, but added it back (under Email settings) when I discovered I couldn't send email from the Address book without it. I actually prefer google mobile for email management since it modifies the server state as well. Not sure if the add/remove/add sequence has somehow messed up the calendar?
I have checked under Calendar > Options and two calendars appear. Based on the color associations it appears that Device Default is associated with Outlook personal calendar & my gmail account is associated with the Lotus Notes calendar entries. As far as I know I did not create these associations.
Checking under Options > Advanced Options > Default Services, I see CICAL & CMIME entry and those are both the gmail account.
Checking under Options > Advanced Options > Service Book, I see only one CICAL & CMIME entry and those are both the gmail account.
Separately, I do have a couple of mobile apps to read email (gmail- same acct - and yahoo), but those appear to not integrate into the BB apps directly.
Everytime I sync with Outlook, I end up with lots of duplicate entries on the handheld. I have also noticed that I am missing entries that are on the handheld, but are not on Outlook (in one very odd case, the entry was created on Outlook and now only exists on the handheld). I may have deleted duplicate entries related to the missing items at one time... I can't be sure about that. I believe I currently have a complete calendar on the handheld, but not 100% confident I have a good calendar anywhere.
And as an aside, have to say I'm really bummed that I have lost easy access all my Palm historical data. It appears BB will not bring in old calendar data by design (found that in some BB documentation on their site). Now that I will not keep up with Palm upgrades, at some point I will lose access to that data. Sigh.

Middleware Settings - Duplicate entries in the Table TCURC
Hi Experts,
I am doing middleware settings for integrating SAP CRM 5.0 with SAP R/3 4.7.
Before replicating the customizing objects, i found duplicate entries for ISO Codes in the table TCURC (Field name-ISOCD).
Following are those entries

Deleting Duplicate entries from Internal tbale

I have used this code to delete duplicate entries from an internal table.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM IT_KOSTL COMPARING KOSTL hours.
After this statment, still the internal table will remain with a duplicate row.
Earlier table content before the delete statement:

Why the line 3 is still present in the table?
I hope as per that syntax, this line too should get delete.... Is it right?

Actually it's not 3rd line, it's 2nd line.3rd line were deleted.
when delete adjecent duplicates trigger than it would delete lower line(3rd in your case) not upper line.
I hope as per that syntax, this line too should get delete.... Is it right?

According to, Mac OS X 10.4: Stay away from the SyncServices folder: As if it were a swarm of bees, you should stay away from the SyncServices folder in Mac OS X 10.4. Removing or modifying anything in it—or in subfolders within it—may cause unexpected issues. (This folder is located in your Application Support folder, in your Library folder, in your Home folder.)
Deleting or modifying things in the SyncServices folder may cause unexpected results such as:
• Duplicate contacts in Address Book or appointments in iCal.
• Data loss in Address Book or iCal.
Important: Any lost or duplicate data could propagate to other devices and computers via iSync and .Mac sync. This means data could be lost on other computers.If that is your problem, I suspect that without a backup, duplicate entry deletion will at best be tedious, and at worst fraught with frustration. You may be better off starting from scratch.

Right Click Move menu has duplicate entries
One of my users frequently sorts mail into subfolders on a shared mailbox. They most commonly do this by right clicking the message, selecting Move, then selecting the folder.
Somehow, they ended up with a duplicate entry in the right click menu. In other words, the folder "October 2014" appears twice in the list.
The first question is: how can the duplicate entry be removed?
Secondly, one of these menu items works. When it is selected, the message can then be found in the "October 2014" as expected. The other of these menu items does not work. When it is selected, the mail is no longer in it's original location (inbox,
etc.) but also does not appear in the "October 2014" folder. Searching her mailbox (even searching all of Outlook) returns no results when searching for a message moved this way. I've
also used Get-mailboxfolderstatistics to examine the folder structure of both her account and the shared mailbox account. Only the one folder named "October 2014" appears to exist.
Second question: How can I find where messages moved with the duplicate entry were moved to? How can I move them to the correct folder?Hi,

We can try to clear the Move To Folder history to check the result. To do this, please follow:
1. Exit Outlook.
2. Open your Registry Editor and navigate to:
Outlook 2013

For the second question, how did the user add the shared mailbox in his Outlook? Please note that in some configurations, you are limited to using the
Current Folder search scope when searching in a shared mailbox. Please try to directly login to the shared mailbox and then search for the disappeared emails. Please let me know the result.

Finding duplicate entries in address book
I am using Address Book 5.0.3, where I have been using LinkedIn's CardMunch to import contact details via my iPhone. However, I now end up with three distinct issues regarding duplicate entries:
1/ two people with the same name, e.g. John Smith, but I know they are two separate people and they work for different companies.
2/ After an import, I may have some duplicate entries, say Alan Walker, who has moved from company A to company B and I want to replace his old contact details with the new information.
3/ two duplicate entries the same name, say Brian Vickers, both of which refer to the same person who still works for the same company, but has new contact details or additional data, such as a mobile number that I did not have before.
4/ two duplicate entries that are identical. E.g. I imported the same card twice for some reason.
5/ multiple entries marked 'Cannot Read Name', where CardMunch had a problem, but I know they are different people and I have to edit these to manually enter the correct information.
Unfortunately the Address Book find duplicates function, whilst it works, does nothing useful. The only option I am presented with is 'Merge', which in all of the scenarios above apart from item 4 I do not want to do a merge function - I want to either 'Mark as NOT Duplicates' (item 1/), 'Replace Selected Fields' e.g. show me the two cards side by side and allow me to select which fields from which card are to be kept, replaced or removed and then implement the merge (item 2), "Add New Information' but allow me to select the label for that information before merging so that if someone has a new iPhone, but is still keeping their old mobile, I can select the field label correctly and then merge (item 3) or 'Edit Card' which allows me to open any identified duplicate and add in missing information that would mean that it is no longer a duplicate item.
Can anyone suggest a way of doing this, or can Apple's developers please add these features to the Address Book App as soon as possible?

To find and merge duplicate cards:
1. Choose Card > "Look for Duplicate Entries."
2. Address Book tells you if it finds duplicate cards, cards containing duplicated information, or both.
3. Click Merge to merge duplicate cards and remove redundant information on cards.
When Address Book merges duplicate cards, it creates a single card for the contact containing all of the unique information from each merged card. Address Book uses the picture from the merged card appearing first in the list.
To merge selected cards only, Command-click to select the cards you want to combine and choose Card > Merge Selected Cards. Address Book creates a single card using the name and picture of the selected card appearing first in the list.;~) -
Duplicate entries in iTunes display, but both entries point to the same physical location.
I've seen lots of discussion about how to remove duplicate copies of the same song, but my issue is different.
iTunes has duplicate entries in its database, but if I do show in finder, then both entries point to the same physical location.
If I delete one entry, then the other entry becomes unusable.
Any idea how I could clean this up? Its annoying because if I select an album to play, then each song gets played twice.@zoo_bink I too have exactly the same issue however it's not affecting all my files.
One solution, which I'm contemplating, is to backup the iTunes Media folder, delete files, uninstall/reinstall iTunes then re-import the files. The issue may have arisen during initial import. (I'm not sure at this stage if Apple allow iTunes to be uninstalled.)
iTunes music collection is showing 58.95GB versus 57.11GB in Finder so it's not a massive deal but annoying nonetheless as deleting entries isn't an option.
Any suggestions welcome.

Duplicate entry OF Billing doc in FBL5N
Dear Gurus,
In my scenario,
With single line item of Sales order i created the full quantity delivery.
With respect to that delivey i create the Billing doc & there is no any error message create fine.
But when i show the FBL5N - Customer oustanding report
Here there is two entry - for my billing doc. no. say - 10001 - accounting doc - 20001
But one more duplicate entry say billing doc - 10002 - accoutning doc - 20002
Accounting doc - 20001 is OK but when i check the second doc 20002 -it also shwows against my SO.
when i go to check second billing doc - 10002 in VF03 or VF07 (If archieve) it not shows me.But in Table BSEG it shows.
As a system bug it creates one more document 10002 now it is not shown in VF03 or in archieve.
My issue is how to remove this entry from FBL5N.
Because if a cancel the accounting doc - 20002 std. SAP go to check the billing - 10002 which is not availabble in system.
PLease provide me some help to remove the above duplicate entry from FBL5N or From business prospective how to nullify that
