16:9 Option Not Visible
Hi,
Strange problem I am having. I haven't used Encore a lot. I am creating a DVD but have been unable to locate the option to set the aspect ratio to 16:9. It is defaulting to 4:3 and letter boxing my menu BG footage and dvd content. I seem to remember on previous projects a simple radio select for 16:9 on the properties panel but it not visible within this project. I don't know what I have done wrong? The footage is all .mov's exported from Premiere and most definitely 16:9 ratio.

MANY people have had problems with the content for Encore CS6, even with the link Ann posted, since the instructions are not very clear
This is for CS5, but the structure will be "similar" for Encore CS6... except for being in the 64bit program path
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS5\Library\Corporate
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS5\Library\Education
... and so on
Which means that when you unZip (or whatever) the downloaded content you will place the individual library folders as shown above... then, the next time you start Encore, it "should" let you open the folder(s) for the specific type of content
CS5 was MUCH cleaner in all this, since everything was installed during the original process, with no need to download and separately install the content

Planning Option Not Visible in Configuration Utility

I have created a Planning Application long back (Classic Application) [9.3.1]. Now we are about to create a new application. The stramge thing is that I am not able to see the Planning option in Configuration Utility. Previously I have installed EPMA and also cofigured the same, But never used EPMA. Now I have created a user in Rdbms and tried to create a Datasource for my new application. Unable to see the option where I can create datasource. Please guide what should be done. (able to see EPMA options like deploy server, configure databse, etc)
I am able to access planning web and access my old Planning application. In fact also able to open Planning application wizard.(Here it asks for datasource).Hi John,
I am also facing the same problem --- "planning option not shown at all in config utility". Scenario is also the same, some days ago BPMA has been installed though not in use. Planning is working properly, but now, when I want to create another datasource for another application creation, no planning option is showing.
In C:\Hyperion\common\config\product there is no planning folder exists. Could you please suggest how to resolve this issue?

Access preference options - not visible, they are cut off.

WebHelp ActiveX option not visible to users
Launching our WebHelp from the "Help" link in our browser-based application, users get the help in a new window but they do not get the message about enabling ActiveX that I see when I launch the help locally... which means that they do not get the Search field in the toolbar nor in the Search tab, and the Search tab is an embarrassing (and confusing) list of every possible item that might be searched. It also means they don't see the colors of the skin we created for the toolbar, because the ActiveX toolbar doesn't replace the default WebHelp toolbar.
This WebHelp was created with RoboHelp 7, running in IE 8.
Any ideas how to at least give our customers the option to allow ActiveX?Hello again
In this particular case I do believe ActiveX is a bit of a misnomer. ActiveX normally refers to a specific control. An applet in the browser. It's specific to Microsoft Internet Explorer. You can read more about ActiveX at the link below.

What happens is that Microsoft Internet Explorer posts the YIB with a rather generic ActiveX warning because it is seeing the JavaScript. I dunno, maybe IE uses an ActiveX control to interpret the JavaScript. That's far beyond my capabilities to explain.
So to answer your question, yes your users will need a JavaScript enabled browser in order to see your WebHelp skin in all its glory.
Assuming your IT peeps have allowed you access to these settings, you might investigate changing some options for IE as described in the link below:

Auto open/close option not visible in settings on iPad mini
We have a new iPad mini running iOS 7.0.4 Noticed that the auto switch on/off function was not working. What is more confusing is that in settings there is not the option to switch it on/off. Any ideas?
The problem does not relate to the Auto-Lock facility but the Lock/Unlock facility when you close and open the iPad cover. It is nothing to do with cover itself but under Settings/General you should have four options in a box:
Auto-Lock
Passcode Lock
Restrictions
Lock / Unlock
The Lock / Unlock option is not there at all so you cannot switch it on or off! -
Booted up Safari today and the "Empty Cache option is no longer availabe in the Safari pull down menu. Any suggestions?
Clearing History will empty the cache now but it will also clear your favicons. You can clear cache only by going to Safari>Preferences > Advanced and select Show develop menu in the menu bar. There is an option to clear caches from there.

I can't add an event to an event structure. Option not visible in the menu. Fix?
I didn't have the event structures on my pallette to begin with (LabVIEW 6.1), so I added them by downloading the struct.mnu file on the website. Now they show up in the pallette, but are not usable because I can't add events. Any help would be much appreciated.
You're correct, if you have the Full version, you should be able to create and edit the Event Structure. The Base version is the only one that is limited.
I would try the reinstall and see if that takes care of it. Something must have gotten corrupted.

I have AD RMS 2012 Server, its working fine by applying restricted Templates/Permissions on OWA, Outlook & other MS Office Tools (Word Excel, PowerPoint). But the AD RMS Templates/Permissions [Option] is not visible at Outlook 2013 in Nokia Windows
8 Mobile Device.
Actually I would like to protect email with RMS templates (defined by me on AD RMS 2012 Server) but the [Permission] tab is not visible at Outlook 2013 in Nokia Windows 8 Mobile Device.
But I can do same with Android OS in Samsung Galaxy Mobile Device & I can see [Permission] tab as well to protect an email messages.
Any idea??

M.Daud SoomroCurrently, you can't use WP 8 to protect docs/emails with ADRMS templates. YOu can however use transport rules on Exchange server side to configure automatic ADRMS protection.

According to your post, my understanding is that after client upgraded to Office 2013 the option for Upload multiple document was grayed out.
I try to reproduce the issue in my environment, however everything works well.
My configuration of system is:
Windows 8.1;
IE11;
Office 2013 32bit.
Please repair the Office 2013 to check whether it works.

Create jsf jsp page / page implementation / third option is not visible
The third option (check box) for page implementation settings in the create jsf jsp page is not visible. The window is not resizable.
I see the option radio button and text "Automatically Expose UI Components in an Existing Managed Bean" that is disabled but i see only partially the label what is a disabled input text field i suppose just below the radio button.
I see also the Directory input field and Browse button a little bit truncated at the bottom (1-2 pixels missing).
I see also the Render in Mobile Device check box and combo box ... cutted by the half when i expand the page implementation part.
As said the window is not resizable.
Let me know a location i can send you a hard copy of the screen. -

Hi-I am trying to update the software of my iphone 4 (which I have never done) and the "software update" option is not visible in my general settings. Any suggestions??
The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, if you have iOS 4 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases - you may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
You can then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button.

I have a problem with appointments that have the Show As option as "Working Elsewhere". When someone tries to use the scheduling assistant and selects someone who has an appointment set to "Working Elsewhere" the appointment is

Based on my research and test, the WorkingElsewhere field is applicable for clients that target Exchange Online and versions of Exchange starting with Exchange Server 2013.
Between outlook 2013 clients and mailbox being on Exchange 2010, the meeting invite would show as "Working Elsewhere" for each of the attendees in their respective calendars but does not show any information regarding other attendee who accepted
the meeting request.

External hard drive not visible in disk utility or finder
Hi all,
I have had a good look through previous discussions and I can't seem to find an issue relevant to mine.
My external hard drive has 2 partitions (1 time machine back up, 1 general hard drive). The issue is that the HD is running when it is plugged in however it is not visible in either disk utility or finder.
I am running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) on a 2010 MacBook Pro. I also have parallels desktop running windows 7. When I boot windows and plug in the HD I usually get the option to mount the HD to either OS X or Windows. With this issue the option window appears for a split second (not enough time to select either) and then disappears. It seems that the HD may be ejecting itself as soon as it is registered by the computer. I have tried using a different power cable for the HD and also a different usb cable, this doesn't help.
The external HD is a Samsung D3 Station, which i have had for 6 months now and never had an issue with.

I have tried the external hard drive in other computers (mac and windows), each time I get the same problem above.
I have removed the HD from the enclosure and purchased a docking station for it (3.5" SATA). When I plug it in to the laptop it disconnects itself straight away before it is visible. With the windows computers it installs the drivers and says that the device is ready to use, then disconnects before it shows up.
As the HD is not visible there is no option to re-format or anything.
This is very frustrating as I was using the HD with no issues and it randomly disconnected and I have not been able to access since.

In the info cube, the data is not visible for reporting, How can i make it available for reporting,
When i select the Manage option from the context menu of the cube and select the Requests Tab, i get a pop up message that tells
" There is an inconsistency between the load status of the data and the option of reporting on this data.
There is data in the InfoCube/ODS object that is OK from a quality point of view, but is not yet displayed in reporting.
The problem, for example, is to do with request 0000018049, number REQU_F4ZBFRMDGBULE9WCUN3R5UX5X."
How do i find out the inconsistancies?

Use the RSRV transaction and select All Elementary Tests in the dropdown ->Transaction data , select the Consistency of the Time Dimension for an InfoCube and select your cube and Execute the button ..if any error are there it will display the inconsistency ..Repair the Inconsistency with Correct Button..
Check the other test also ..
