2 cameras in one scene

I have 2 words right next to eachother. I set up a camera to walk through the 1st name. I want to set up a 2nd camera so when the first one comes to a stop, I want the 2nd camera to perform a walk through through the other name.
Is this possible? Can I have 2 cameras in one scene to do this?
If so, how?
Thanks in advance

have you tried it? Just make sure to begin the 2nd camera at the end of the first one....

    If your computer is on one minute before it freezes, than you have one minute to secure your serial number.
    click the apple----->click about this Mac ------> click on version----> until you see the serial number.  You may have to do this a couple of times if it freezes before you have all the numbers.  A camera might help.

  • Possible to have multiple views for one scene?

    Away3D allows multiple Views to be created for one Scene, allowing different camera positions for the same geometry.
    Can Proscenium support this? I've been banging my head against a brick wall for a while now...

    Hi Kopaacabana,
    (I  feel like I'm in one of those post-apocalyptic scenes where the last two humans left on earth finally meet.....)
    Thanks for answering!
    Yes, I've actually got two cameras quite happily working in the scene, the problem is that I need to re-use the geometry for the scene in two windows, or at least, two separate parts of one window simultaneously. Away3D can do it very easily, where one sets up a 'View', which has a 'Scene' it views. With Proscenium it seems that the whole thing is tied up with an Instance3D, which is fine for one camera, but the scene nodes seem tied up as children of some root scene node. I've tried assigning the scene data as a child of two instances of BasicScene (hacking the stage3ds[number] to be different for each), but that causes an exception.
    Just changing the activeCamera changes the view to the new camera, where I actually need to be able to render to two windows/screen areas from one set of geometry.
    I would have hoped that the paradigm would have been 'here is some geometry, lights, etc., now do with it what you will'
    Adobe, are you there to help us out, like, anyone at all? Are we wasting our time with this?

  • Is there a way in fcpx to keep timeline clean for just one scene at a time ?

    It would be so wonderful if I could just see the scene I'm working on in the timeline rather than the whole project....
    I tried to make a compound clip of all the material related to one scene  and double clicked it ....it opened in a single timeline but I felt it behaves a little differently than the parent timeline when it comes to making tracks.....
    To be impractically point blank....is there a way of making the project timeline empty when Im treating one particular scene such that I don't see anything else .....and can bring back everything when I want ?

    You can't really make the clips "disappear" completely, but you can go a long way to making the workspace more pliable.
    Open the Timeline index (2nd icon, bottom left of FCPX) and click the Roles tab. To the right of each role is a small icon.
    ["normal" timeline view... thumbnails, audio waveforms, etc..]
    Clicking on those icons will "minimize" the onscreen information (turn off the thumbnails and audio waves, etc) creating "blank" placeholders.
    [Video and Dialogue "minimized"]
    You can go one step further and select the clips you want to turn off and type V to toggle their "visibility" (this will eliminate anything from those clips from showing up in the canvas -- it will just be "black" and silent until toggled back on — *and* it will dim the clips further [see next image]).
    You can then Assign a custom Role (go to Modify > Edit Roles) and create new custom Video role (and possibly audio too, if you need to isolate waveforms and have them show in your workspace). For the clips you want to work with immediately, select them all and Assign Roles > whatever name you used. In the illustration below, I used "Under Construction". (You can also toggle the canvas visibility of the clips off by *unchecking* the role in the Roles inspector.)
    At the right side of the image, you'll see a normal looking clip amongst the "blanked out" clips on the storyline — it was assigned the role "Under Contruction" and its setting overrides the default Video settings. This technique should help you adequately isolate your "working scenes".  When you've done, you can either create another role ("finished") or revert the roles back to the plain Video and/or Audio (Dialogue) default roles. (Remember to select and type V again to turn their visibilities back on.)

  • How to pass a variable from one scene to another

    I'm making a call from one scene to another via a button, but I have two buttons calling the same scene, each for a different purpose, and I need to pass certain variables tied to each button to that called scene. How can I do this?

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    stop();
    var nam:String="test";
    testscene2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,fn);
    function fn(e:MouseEvent){

    testscene1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,fn1);
    function fn1(e:MouseEvent){

  • How can I make music (mp3) play automatically in one Scene (NO buttons)?

    How can I make an mp3 play automatically in one Scene (NO buttons)? I have been searching the net for answers for over 10 hours with no answer... My movie will not be for the web, it needs to be portable (CD or flash drive)...
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
    thank you!

    You just need to look in Help for the Sound class and possibly SoundChannel... if you have an MP3 in your library - right click it, and go to properties. Set the sound to export for ActionScript - and give it a class name - mySound will work. Then you can make it play with something as simple as:
    var a:SoundChannel = new mySound().play();

  • How to split one scene in two in iMovie HD 06

    Hi there, is iMovie HD 06 able to split one scene in two? I am trying to insert slow motion for part of the scene but not the whole. Can I do that? Are there alternatives?

    Easy. Select the clip you want to split, therefore highlighting it, move the playhead to the point that you want to start your slo mo, go up to EDIT and select Split Video at Playhead. Repeat for the end point of that slo mo bit and you are left with three separate clips.

  • Linking one scene to another...

    Hi,
    Iv been making video's for awhile but what still confuses me
    is whats the best way to link one scene to another? on adobe
    premiere elements its got alot of different ways to link media
    files but most i don't tend to use because i don't want the
    transactions to distract me when making, i tend to either use a
    cross dissolve of dip in black effect or fade in/fade out video
    effect. Without some sort of linking transaction the overall video
    looks undone and messy, however to many effects makes the video
    look more about the effects than the video itself and id rather
    keep the transactions basic, having a dissolve link to long makes
    the clips to short and when making a dissolve to short it looks out
    of place and like a blinking effect! Does anyone get me? if so
    please post!

    I'm not 100% sure you are asking about flash - your entire
    post sounds like a Premiere question. But
    you do mention "scenes" and how to "link" them together -
    what's confusing for me is that there is
    no need to "link" scenes together in Flash - when compiled,
    all scenes become one long timeline.
    Scenes in Flash are a managment convenience in the Flash IDE
    only.
    Do you have a Flash document where you have buttons in 1
    scene and trying to script them to send the
    playhead to frames or labels in another scene?
    Flash doesn't make "videos" in the true sense of the word -
    it is not a video editor like premiere.
    Sorry if I misunderstood - what exactly are you asking?

    FCP 10.1 DV capturing from camera breaking the scenes into unwanted clips by flashing a black screen on import window. But its fine and accurate with adobe premiere pro cc ?
    Any solution * Advance Thanks

    FCP X will import into separate clips every time it detects a scene change (as when you stopped and started recording in the camera). There is no option to avoid this, as far as I known.
    You may try importing from camera using Quicktime Player X and then bringing the imported file into FCP X.

  • Maximum number of Kinect for Windows v2 Cameras on one PC?

    There is a question about the previous iteration of the Microsoft Kinect for Windows (no longer on sale) here: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/63c7c52e-1290-452e-8e04-74330822d16f/maximum-number-of-kinect-cameras-on-one-pc?forum=kinectsdk.
    How many Kinect for Windows v2 sensors can be used on a single PC? And if this is limited to 1, is this a software, or a hardware restriction?

    Are there plans for this to change, or be lifted?
    No.  No product roadmap anyway.
    The reasoning requires you to look at it from an engineering standpoint.  The Kinect uses a lot (more than half) of the available bus bandwidth to operate normally.  So even though you could physically connect two or more sensors, there is no feasible
    way to have them both sustain enough of a data rate for them to operate normally using the existing hardware.
    I'm no hardware expert, but from what I have been told, the solution is harder than just having multiple USB 3.0 controllers in the same PC.
    As for "plans for this to change", rest assured that people want this, and that there are clever engineers thinking about solutions, but due to technical limitations, there is no product roadmap yet that allows for multiple kinects sensors on a
    single PC.  And because of the technological limitations, it will never just be "lifted".  The hardware needs to change for this to work.
    Another thing to consider is that, from a physics standpoint, Kinects
    do interfere with each other (slightly) when operating in the same space.  It's not at all dissimilar from two people trying to have a conversation in the same room -- some words of the conversation will be missed.  The more people in the
    room, the more difficult it is to hear one another.  For the Kinect, the quality of the depth results, for example, is diminished by having two kinects operating in the same space, but the visible light cameras continue to operate unimpeded.  The
    sensor is cleverly designed to "tolerate" the light patterns from other kinects, but they can't completely ignore those patterns and conflicts do occur --  so it
    does degrade slightly with noise from each additional sensor.  It's using invisible light, so the problem tends to be "out of sight, out of mind" for us as users.  But at some (modest) limit, it becomes mathematically impossible
    to multiplex the light patterns from additional Kinects using the current specs (somewhere around 16 kinects based on the patterns, IIRC).
    So there are other physical and technological hurdles to overcome with operating multiple Kinects in the same space, even if they were all connected to different PCs connected in a network cluster or something like that.

  • Consequence of applying the same filter twice to one scene

    What would be the consequence of applying the same filter twice (with the exact same settings) to one scene?
    For example, I drop the de-interlace filter twice (assuming the exact same settings on the filter) onto the same scene by accident and don't pick up on it later... would that do anything to the quality of the footage?

    In general, applying the same filter twice to a clip has its effect applied twice. However this depends on the kind of effect: with de-interlace you might get a degraded image since the first pass removes a field and substitutes it with a new field built by interpolation, then the 2nd pass removes a field again. If it is the same as before nothing should happen, but if it is the other one you degrade the image again.
    With broadcast safe I guess you won't gain quality by adding it twice.

  • Is it possible to connect 2 Creative Web Cameras to one computer?

    Hi all.
    I want to connect 2 Web cameras to one computer and see li've video in two windows simultaneously. I have bought 2 identical LabTec Web Cameras, and when I connect to both cameras simultaneously the both video streams freezes.
    Does anybody have any experience connecting 2 identical Creative Web cameras to one computer? Can they stream simultaneously without freezing?
    I am planning to buy 2 Creative WebCam NX Pro, can they stream simultaneously without freezing?
    Im using Windows XP SP2 and USB 2.0.
    Regards,
    Hemmingsen

    Thank you for your reply!
    I have tried to connect to different Web cameras to the same PC - and that worked!
    I have tried to connect to identical LabTec Web cameras to the same PC - and that did NOT work!
    It looks like it could be a driver problem.
    I am working on a litte robot project and in connection to that, I need two identical cameras simultaneously to take 2 pictures. I that way I can analyse the 2 pictures and calculate the distance to objects. But the two pictures MUST be as identical as possible - therefore I want to use 2 identical cameras.
    I would like if anybody who has 2 identical Creative Web cameras could do this little test:
    1) Connect 2 identical Creative Web cameras to 2 different USB controllers (WebCam NX Pro preferred)
    2) Open "My computer"/"WebCam "
    3) Open "My computer"/"WebCam 2"
    4) Check that both windows shows li've video simultaneously
    5) Reply the result and the camera model to me
    I get bankrupt if I buy more cameras that I cannot use - so I hope anybody can help me.
