2 iPhones, 1 iTunes Account, and 1 or 2 iCloud Accounts???
I have 2 iPhone 4, a Macbook Pro, Macbook, Mac Mini, and Apple TV. I am trying to setup the 2 phones to share to same iTunes account, contacts, and calendars. However, I need each device to have different apps and backup to iCloud. Can i use 2 different iCloud accoutns to backup, but still share my contacts and calendars? How can I do this???
My wife and I just purchased the iphone 5 and we share an itunes account. How do I sync our iphones to our MacBookPro so we each have our own iCloud account (contacts, calendars, etc.)? We want to be able to share the itunes music on our computer.

IBooks syncs to the iTunes account and NOT the iCloud account
As the title says, this is still happening. It was previously mentioned in February 2012, March 2012, and September 2012. I understand that technically it would be an issue to sync collections that have been purchased under iTunes account A, but the sync request is coming in from iCloud account B, but it's not like Apple hasn't figured out a way around things before:) Bookmarks and highlights and where-you-left-off marks should all sync up with my iCloud account. It is counter-intuitive that my iTunes acounts is being used for metadata synchronising. And it's VERY frustrating!

Hi, I have been a mac user since there was a paid "mac" apple ID. Since you all know, it all changes and it became .me and then .icloud.
The problem is that my apple Id has been blocked and I couldn't find a sollution in the help apple provides. I go to the iforgot password as it tells me and then it says to reset your password we will send you an e-mail, which I never receive.
I have many information in my apple ID which I need to retreive.

My wife and I decided to both buy Iphones do I put them both under the same apple ID, or do I create two different apple ID's and two differnt icloud accounts? We want to be able to share my itunes library on both our phones and sync our calendars, but I don't want every update and reminder that my wife puts in her phone and I know she doesn't want every reminder I put in my phone.
What you need to do is both use the same Apple ID for iTunes content, but separate Apple ID's for everything else. So, you keep your existing Apple ID. If not a verifiable email address, you will need to create a new Apple ID for yourself. You also create an Apple ID for your wife, again a verifiable email address. You use the existing Apple ID for all iTunes content. The new Apple ID's for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc. Here's how to create an Apple ID:

I have my main iCloud account for iTunes and Mail etc.
On my iPhone I seem to have initiated a secondary iCloud account with a different AppleID, yet receive emails to the other/same email account as the primary iCloud account on my Mac.
I have gone through every password ever used and simply cannot access the account. Also I have requested the password reset verification via email, that gets sent, but never arrives.
I can access both email accounts without a problem.
If anyone has an idea what to do it would be magnificent.

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan. -

Thanks.At least 255 separate devices. But if you have a lot of users each with devices of their own, then they should each have separate user accounts, separate Apple IDs, and separate iTunes accounts; this will generally require at least one Apple ID/iCloud account per user.

I seem to have at least two, and maybe four, iCloud accounts, across my iPhone, my iPad and my MacBook Pro. Can I combine them into one iCloud account? I have been able to log into what appears to be three of the four iCloud accounts I have. Two of them seem to be remarkably similar, and one appears to be only for my MacBook.I think I know which one my iPhone is backing up to, as I successfully restored from a back-up last week. The fourth iCloud account I can't access via password or security questions. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You got it with that same apple id thing. You can use different apple id's, but then they will not sync. Apple does allow as many free apple id's as you want, but they are in the business to make money.

I have just received a new iphone 5s and need to set the Apple ID with my work email. I used my work email on my personal iphone 4s to set up an icloud account and it will not let me use this email as the Apple ID on my new iphone. As it is a work phone I need to use this email address as my Apple ID. How do I do this?
when you open the app store scroll down to the bottom it will display the apple id currently in use, change it to your normal apple id email

Delete all back ups on MacBook and create new back up. Restart his MB and attempt to restore again. Do not forget to erase your iphone 5 before restore.

Does anyone know what "other" means in the sync summary bar? I have 850mb using storage space in my iphone and can't understand what that is. I have tried to delete everything, restore to factory settings and change the icloud account. Thanks.

Sign out from your pple Id on your Device and Go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and then Sign In with your Apple Id here and Under your Primary Email Address click on Resend Next to Verification Email Sent. Now Go to your Email Account and Verify your Apple Id again by clicking in the Link inside the Mail that you might have received from Apple. Now Sign In on your Device and try to make a Purchase and if it is for the first time then you will be asked to Review your Account and if you have entered your Credit/Debit card in your Account then you will have to just Enter your 3 Digits CVV Number and then click on Done. And then you can try downloading any Application from AppStore or Music from iTunes Store and check if its working. -
IPhone locked to a stranger's icloud account- please help I am not a thief
I had bought iPhone 5 from AT&T the day it was released. After using it for a year and half, I decided to gift it to my dad. I completely wiped the phone to it's factory settings and shipped it to my dad. After my dad received the phone, he took it to a local store to get a new screen protector and a case. After he returned back home, he tried to use the phone but surprisingly the phone was in a lost mode with a message showing it is currently linked to an Apple ID d…[email protected]. Initially he thought the apple id that was showing on the phone belonged to me and asked me to remove it from the device. However, the problem was the apple id didn’t belong to me. I tried to contact the the email address and the phone number that was showing on the screen but they turned out to be bogus. My dad went back to the store but the owner of the store denied doing anything like that. I did some research on Google and came across this discussion where a person is also having the exact same “locked to a stranger’s apple id” issue. At this point, I am not sure if it was the store owner who locked my device or it is a bug in the iCloud system of which Apple is not aware of? I called Apple Support but the rep was kind of rude and just dismissed the case. Then I went to the Apple store with the proof of purchase and the original box but was turned back to Apple Support. The second rep whom I spoke with was professional and sounded helpful but it has been a week and haven't heard back from him yet.
I guess Apple is finding difficulty trying to decide who the true owner of the phone is? Me who have the proof of purchase or the stranger who has provided bogus email address and phone number? In the real world, you don't have to involve the police if you simply loose your keys or if it gets stolen. There is nothing a police can do because the car is never stolen and is just sitting at the mall's parking lot all the time. Remember, only the keys were stolen. In my phone's case, the phone was never stolen however I do agree that it was in a vulnerable position when I did the factory reset and removed my icloud account from it. If a device is in such a position then anybody who has the physical access to the device can lock the device with their icloud account. And this is exactly what happend to my phone and this is exactly what I have been trying to explain to Apple Support. I understand they cannot just trust me and unlock the phone for me, but I expect them to tell me what's the next step for me to take. What document or proof do they need from me to show that I am the true owner? I can try and get the police involved even though the device is never stolen, but I first need to know which city police should I get involved- is it the Dallas Police, my home town police or the stranger’s home town police? The email address and the phone number shown on the locked screen are totally bogus and they don’t exist at all. I don’t even know where this stranger lives. Apple Support is simply ignoring me presuming that I am the thief and not trying to resolve the issue at all.
