2 Level Review of Appraisal

Hi All,
We have following hierarchy for our Appraisal System.
Appraisee -> Appraiser -> Reviwer1 -> Reviewer2 -> HRAdmin
We want to know, has anyone implemented PD system with 2 level Reviewer? If anybody has done so, we need config docs for the same.

Hi
Two level Reviever in appraisal documents cannot be shared but let us know what exactly do u want as a solution
Hope we will help you out on this.

  • High level manager Accessing Appraisal in Objective Setting & Appraisals

    Hello,
Can anyone please suggest me how the
    1. Next High Level Managers (all the way upto CEO), can access the appraisal of an employee from the portal.
    2. Also how the manager can access the appraisals of his previous employees, when the manager is transfered?
In my previous project, when I was using ECC5.0, I have addresed all these requirements by creating custom copies of "manager status overview pages" of HAP_Document.
In my current project, I am using ECC6.0 and we do not want any customizations.
Is there any configurable way for these requirements?
    Thank you & Regards
    Raghu

In the new PMP world, the manager can access the appraisals of his previous employees, when this manager is added as a Part Appraiser to the transferred employee's document.

  • Performance Appraisal-Move the document from Part Appraiser to Appraiser

    Hello
After the 2nd level manager (part appraiser) has rejected the document, it should be sent back to the 1st level manager review the notes and make changes before resending it back to the 2nd level manager.
When the second level manager receives the document, it is in "IN PROCESS-PART APPRAISAL IN PROCESS" status. Is it possible to change the status of the document from this status to "IN REVIEW" or some other status for the first level manager to make changes based on the 2nd level manager's feedback.
How else can we incorporate the functionality? Please advice.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello
We were able to achieve this by adding multiple substatus to the status "In Process" and then control the authorization at that level.
    Thanks

  • Appraisal Document - Column Access

    Hello
I have configured an Appraisal Template. I have an appraisee/part appraiser/appraiser in the workflow.
The appraisee is able to fill in the weightage/target at the Goal Setting Stage. However, at the mid term appraisee/appraisers are unable to enter the target achieved. I checked the column access BADI and have not done any implementation for the same. The column access at the template level has been set so that AFTER planning stage, appraisee and appraiser are able to change the values at review/part appraisal and final appraisal state.
But when the employee opens the document at midterm, his is unable to enter his targets achieved. What can be missing.
    Regards,
    Shubham

    Hi,
As far as i can understand,
    1. check whether the column owner for the column "Target Achieved" is Appraisee/Employee.
    2. Check whether the employee/Appraiser/part appraiser has authorization to edit at template level by checking at the Review owner/review others stage.
If this does not work out, you can very well create a badi implemantation for the column access. You can write your rules here. Get the help from an ABAPer if required.
Also create a new filetr value for your Badi in OOHAP_BASIC.
And dont forget to add the Badi implementation to the template.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Performance Appraisal - Workflow customization

    Hello
Is it possible to customize the text on the workflow email that is sent to the appraiser or appraisee during various stages of the process. Specifically, the client would like to have the functionality wherein the 2nd level manager is able to enter the reason for rejecting an appraisal so that the manager can review the appraisal form only for the areas where there is disagreement.
    Please advice.
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,
Start with Tcode PFTC or SWDD.
Give the Workflow no and select appropriate task type.
Now inside the Workflow, you will find many tasks. There will be a decision making task. On double clicking it, u will get the task properties.
Goto the description tab and select the task description. In that select the task description and change it as per your requirement.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Subbu.

  • Question over the appraisal status change

    Dear All,
Our appraisal has ( following the flexible template ) has planning, mid year review and final phases. With in each main status we have sub status configured. Example - In the planning stage ( say in the month of February ) , employee add objectives, change weights etc and send to manager for approval. If manager approves, the document status will be changed from planning  to mid year status and employee's form is changed to the display mode ( so he cannot update objectives / weight etc)
Then again in the mid year  status ( say a few months later - June ist ), the employee needs to review the appraisal, add or update the objectives etc and submit for manager approval.
My issue is -  After the employee's appraisal form is changed to display only from planning to review status - How the employee's appraisal  form can be changed from a read only to change mode in the same status ? As it is necessary for employee to add/ update in the form.
I am seeking the best approaches for the below as I am considering two options ( as mentioned below )
    1)   For the  mid year status  , I will configure a sub status ( called start mid year ) and attach a push button. The employee select the push button during the mid year  period ( say June 1st ) and this push button triggers the status change from Mid year to Mid Year / Start Mid year. We also plan to apply a custom implementation for  BADI for column access and badi  (HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS) will decide the access control for columns etc.
    2) The other approach I am considering is we are considering a workflow (INFO_APPRAISEE_CHANGE_REVIEW ) to notify th employee 7 days before the mid year review starts. Can this workflow trigger the status change or read the column access from the BADI (HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS) ?
    Any other simpler approaches ?
I saw in the Process config ( tabs and process ) that we can define the phase with dates and status / substatus etc. Can this be useful for the above scenario. For eg. On June 1st when the mid year review start, can the status be changed  like from Mid year  to Mid Year / Start Mid year ?
Please let me know . Greatly Appreciated!
    Aneez Hameed

Hi Aneez, both options are great,   HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS is configurable at each sub-status, so you have many options.  You can have the manager "approve" at beginning of year, but keep it in "in planning" by having a 3rd sub-status.
You can have the employee or manager have access to the pushbutton so that mid-term can start.
you can also do a workflow option where it is changed automatically, your option 2.
the final option is the HR adminstrator can change the status, by doing a mass select in phap_admin and then they change to the status to move it to "in review" with all of your mid-term substatuses.
they key to making this work is the additional config that goes along with HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS.  here you will want to do define a Z table with the following columns:
object id - your template ID
role - which are the same roles values defined at your template - apee for apraisee
template status - integer - represents status ID
    template sub-status - ID
column id - FAPP, OBJO, etc..
availability indicator (char) - here you will configure H, X etc... which the badi uses to know how to handle it.
    best regards - michael

  • Appraisal Document opens in non-editable mode

The Appraisal cycle is as follows: Appraisee-> Appraiser-> Reviewer
The appraisal document is flowing correctly as per the status flow and the corresponding participants are able to act on it. But when the Appraisal document reaches the Reviewer, i.e. the last stage, it opens in a non-editable mode. Hence the Reviewer is not able to make any changes in the document. The buttons are also in disabled mode.
Request you to help me with the same.

    Hi,
Thanks for your response. Problem solved. The Roles and Element access was fine.
Needed to set the BSP iView parameter MODE = X
    Now its working fine.

  • .msg attachment in appraisal iview

    Hi,
Not entirely sure if this is the right forum - but us portal people tend to have our fingers in quite a few different areas.
For Hr Apprasisals I have created a BSP iview to point at the BSP application hap_document.  This works fine.  When we upload attachments this also works fine.  The problem is when clicking on the attachments.  If we attach a word document and click on it, it opens in word.  However, if we attach an outlook .msg file as an attachment, it opens as text within a web browser window, rather than starting outlook.  If you just have the attachment as a file and double click on it, it opens in outlook, so the file extension to application works fine.
Any ideas why it does not launch it in outlook?
    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hi Thomas,
Couls you please suggest if it is possible to attach a read only word document at the template creation level to the appraisal document?
    Thanks,
    Sunny

  • OSA with portal integration.

    Hi Expert,
We are implementing objective setting and appraisal supported by portal i.e. with ESS/MSS.
As per the client requirement  I am posting my queries as mentioned below.
1.The client does not want to route the appraisal form for an employee during the appraisal period to supervisor or reviewer as per the OM structure, instead the supervisor, reviewer & high level reviewer may be different for appraisal purpose.
    2. Is it possible to write the objectives in the appraisal form more than 80 characters. As per the existing process client writes the objects in long.
    3. How does the standard note created for each column in SAP R3 ( phap_catalog )  transaction  will behave in portal. Will these note will be created as a separate column in ESS, for use by a concerned person.
    Regards,

    Hi Prakash
    Plz find the answers below
    (1) It"ll be tricky if your client wants to use relationships other than what is defined in org structure. You may need to build a custom table to identify the reviewer, appraiser etc according to the business logic. The standard roles (MA, MB etc) defined on OSA refer to the standard reporting relationships (A/B002). Please advise your client to use exsiting relationships if you can
    (2) Try using the free input option (check box) for column OBJ0 . It shud allow u to write more than 80 char
    (3) It usually shows up as a text box attached to the respective column . So if the column is 'appraiser assessment and u have a note attached to it , the note should appear beneath the column
    Hope this helps
    regards

  • OSA - Performance Management

    Hello,
I'm in the process of trying to configure performance appraisals in ECC 6.0 that will be used with the BSP pages in ESS/MSS eventually.  I have a couple questions below that I cannot figure out through testing and have been unable to find any helpful documentation on a good process.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.
1 - As part of the current process, the managers fill out the appraisals, review with the employee, and then they both sign-off.  After this, the appraisal then goes to the next level of management for review prior to HR.  Is there a way to allow only the manager to enter an appraisal, but allow the appraisee and higher-level manager to then both approve it?
2- So far the only option I've seen is to try and set it up as a part-appraisal process where the employee and manager are the part-appraisals, and then the higher-level manager becomes the final appraisal to show their sign-off.  After that I believe we can have HR approve the appraisals in phap_admin_pa.  If part-appraisals is the only way to achieve this sign-off, is there a way to copy the values entered by the manager in the part appraisal column over to the final appraisal column that would belong to the higher-level manager?  As you can expect executives shouldn't have to re-complete the same questions, but instead just approve the review given by the manager.  We can't allow the executives to just sign-off without valid entries in the final appraisal column either because as I understand it that is where the weighting and final calculations are determined from, which we need.
I thought maybe the further participant part would provide an option, but I haven't seen any documentation on how to make that work and so far my testing of that has yet to produce any results.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Thanks Regi.  I do have a few follow-up questions.
-Based on your reply I have setup the higher manager and appraisee to have display access only so that only the manager (part-appraiser) can enter ratings.  Once this is complete, how do I allow both the employee and higher manager to sign-off on those?  Is this were you were talking about the pushbutton?  So that they'd still have a pushbutton to mark complete, approved, etc to keep the process moving forward but their columns would have no values?
-If I do allow this, how do I ensure that the managers part-appraisal values are what is used as the final appraisal values?  Based on my understanding of the flow, the higher manager would be signing off in the final appraisal column (and would have to be listed as the true appraiser so that they have the last step of the process) which would then contain no values due to the display setting right?
-The question above relates to my previous comment about being able to copy column values.  As I understand it, unless I make the manager fill out the form twice, then the higher level manager has to be the true appraiser so that they have the last step.  The manager would then just be a part appraiser.  Is there a better process here I'm missing?  I was also concerned about listing the higher-level manager as appraiser because I was afraid that would make using phap_prepare_pa difficult if the admins want to follow the org structure.

The prerequisites of PMS is OM and PA is mandatory,
PMS is just like an interaction between the manager and the employees in an enterprise, based
On his work they are going to put some rating etc.
In the standard system employee called as “Appraise” Manager called as an “Appraiser” and Manager’s Manager called as Higher level manager “Part Appraiser “ can be a self-peer & customer they can save & provide their Comments to  the “Appraiser”
First you take the requirement form client side what are the process and how Appraisal system in client then you have to prepare one sheet like Preparation ,Planning,Process
for business functions and other check below :-
HCM, Performance Management (Flexible) 01 - SAP Documentation
HCM, Performance Management (Predefined) 03 - SAP Documentation
    check below once :-

    OOHAP_CATEGORY      Appraisal Category Settings
    OOHAP_CAT_GROUP Category Group Settings

  • Purchase Order form in Query only mode for some users

    Hi All,
I want to make the Purchase Orders form as query only for a single user. I tried by giving 'Query_only=Yes' in the parameters section. I am getting 'FRM-04151: You cannot query records here' message more than 10 time. I know we get this message and this is applicable to all the users. But this message is comming more than 10 times.
Is there anyway that I can restrict the Query only mode to a single user and please suggest about the message also.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Naresh

    Naresh,
Since you want to achieve this for one user only, I would suggest you create a new function/menu/responsibility and assign this responsibility to the user.

  • SRM 7.0 Process Controlled Workflow change

    Hi
I have a SRM 7 process controlled Shopping cart workflow working ok, Approval based on value levels. The customer wouldlike to change this so that approval is also based on cost center attributes and also want at each approval level to have a reviewer.
Could anyone advise me how to add in a reviewer, as well as an approver for a particular process step, and also confirm that to have the cost center attribute taken account of at each process step, i would have to develop and code a new expression / evaluation ID, rather than use existing one.
    Many Thanks
    john

    Hi John,
Reviews are common for all process level.. itu2019s not process level specify like approvers.. Also we can add reviewers dynamically by a simple BADI implementation and configurations as follows..
    BADI Implementation:
    BADI : /SAPSRM/BD_WF_RESP_RESOLVER
    Enhancement Spot: /SAPSRM/BD_WF_AGENTS
    BADI Definition : /SAPSRM/BD_WF_REVIEWER_RULE
    Configuration:
We can see Reviewer folder for all process schemas..
For adding approver or pool of approvers for a particular process level, review my answer in the following forum.. Re: SRM 7.0 SP05 - BRF Item level approval does not work
    Thanks!!

In the above case I need show an error msg. I tried pre-insert. It didn’t work because built-in not supports pre-inserts.
Pls advice the best methodology to has shown error in this kind of scenario.

    Hi,
Create a Summary item based on Amt limit.
Then in pre-insert check the value of summary item. If it is < 1 then, raise error .
