2nd Generation Will not turn on when not connected to laptop or docking station?
Looking for advice to fix my 2nd generation nano. Could it be a battery issue? Can the battery be replaced? It is fully charged when removed from the docking station? Help!!!
If you update the iPod software to the latest version (1.1) you should be able to power off the iPod. If that doesn't work especially since you restored it's most likely a hardware issue with the iPod. If so, contact AppleCare or visit an Apple Retail Store so they can setup a repair for you.

Are you running the most recent version of iTunes for Windows on your PC? You may be running an older version that is incompatible with the 4s.

Firefox do not work on a monitor connected via HP USB docking station
Firefox 4 doesn't work on a monitor connected to a HP Docking Station USB 2.0 (AY052AA#AC3). The latest Firefox 3.6 (or is it 3.7) worked perfectly on that monitor (except for Adobe flash player). I usually have that monitor in portrait mode, but neither does it work in landscape mode. I have no problem on the native display on my HP Pavilion dv7-3070ez or on the external display connected directly to the laptop.
The picture displayed freeze with the content of Firefox 4.0 when moved into the USB connected display from another display. When moved back to one of the 2 other displays, operation returns to normal.I have lost complete functionality of my Kensington Displaylink Adaptor. It worked just fine on my iMac with Snow Leopard, but does not work with Lion. I have one screen connected through the display port on the back of the iMac and a second connected through the Kensington DisplayLink. No signal gets to my monitor from the dispaly link.
I called Kensington yesterday, and the tech surpirsed to hear that Lion was now available for sale. The tech said that they should have a new driver out in the next two weeks, but he did not inspire confidence.

What if the the light does not turn on when you connect you adapter to you macbook pro?
I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're talking about your MagSafe power adapter. Mine does this occasionally. Generally, if I turn it over, the light shows as lit on the other side. Sometimes I do have to plug it in a time or two before the light on the adapter will turn on (orange or green).

I replaced battery and now will only turn on when plugged into a charger..
I replaced my batter on my iphone 3gs and then it will only turn on when i connect it to a power source.
After it has turned on you can take it off charge and it will stay on...
Help please!! thanksEither you got a bad battery, didn't install it correctly, did some other damage while installing, or haven't let it charge enough yet. There's really nothing we can do to help you with any of those scenarios.

My iPod shuffle ( 1st or 2nd generation) will not recharge and does not show when the doc is connected to my MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest updated version of iTunes.

If that does not work, use this:
Putting iPod into Disk Mode
and try to restore you ipod.

My iPhone 4 will not turn on, when I plug it into my computer and load up iTunes its in recovery mode and the only option is to restore my device to factory settings, I have no back up of my phone I've also tried the home/sleep button thing but nothing, I have literally done every method I was told, I checked for water damage and that's fine. That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
