3d graph colour palette_more than 3 values

Hi guys,
Please refer to the attached image.
I need to show more than 3 colour values; preferably 1 value per corresponding colour.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Thanks,
Battler.

Ben,
I'm back onto this topic.  Still no solution on my end.
1. I'm happy to know that it can be done.  2. I'm confused by your description of what you've done.
Code would be especially helpful!  Can you post anything at all?!
Thanks,
Battler.
About 11 years ago I was given a choice.
Option 1:
Take a job doing 100% LV with a ten minute commute good pay and good benefits. Drawback: I sign over all of my IP right to the company owner.
Option 2:
Find another job somewhere else.
I choose option #1 so....
No, I can't post any code since I post here only with permision from the company owner. But I am allowed to answer questions. Beisdes this work well with my belief that one of the greaest "good"s I can do in life is to help other "learn to do" (Think learn to fish).
So the best I can do is to encorage you to try to couble together some code with the hints I posted and post your example with specific questions and let other join to help you. Let me emhpesize the "others" since I will be off on one of those "wire-working" adventures for the next week.
I hope that you are succesful and if you are please post an example since this question will come up again, sooner or latter.

    I create a Service purchase order number is 8200000747 in our products system, and service entry sheet number is 1000026152, material document number is 5000306476.
    When I create a park invoice reference this Service PO, the system can not clear GR/IR account with that service entry sheet(1000026152). When we want to post this park invoice, system generate message M8079 'Reversal value greater than value invoiced to date'. But, this item never been verification invoice , I can find this not cleared  GR/IR data in MR11, this item not a multi account assignment , no foreign currency.
    What happened? How can I carry out the correct GR/IR account data in park invoice?

  • Saved VI file size changes when data is visible on a graph but not the default value

    If a VI is saved when data is visible on a graph, the file size is larger; even though the default is set to be a blank graph.  I have tested this in LabVIEW 8.6 and 2009.  If you load the larger file, the graph is blank as expected.  If this behavior is by design, it appears odd to me.
    To duplicate the issue:
    Create a blank VI.
    Add a Sine Waveform VI and set the number of samples to 1,000,000.
    Add a Waveform Graph VI that spans the entire monitor and connect it to the output of the Sine Waveform VI.
    Save the VI and note the file size.
    Run the VI.
    Save the VI and compare the size to the original size.
    The VI file size is larger.
    In the Waveform Graph, select “Reinitialize to default value.
    The VI file size returns to It’s original size.

    Your obeservation is correct, and expected behavior.
    This behavior is useful when you have inputs that you would like to set as defaults for the user.
    Obviously, if there is a value to be saved, it will require some memory to store the value.
    If the input is left empty by default, that memory is made available again.
    It may not be easy to think of a good use for this for a graph, but think about for numeric or string controls.
    What if the user isnt sure how they should input a certain parameter or value?
    You could store a default value so they could see how they should input their value.

  • Graph colours keep changing

    Hi,
    I've assigned a colour theme to my Pie Chart. However, the colours keep changing for the different series values. Is there any way that I can have a fixed colour assigned to a value from the theme? i.e. Red for Unavailable, Green for Available and Yellow for Don't Know? As it stands, BAM keeps changing these colours around as the data is updated.
    Thanks

    Hi
    I am afraid BAM doesn't provide this capability.
    You can use background colors in a list view etc. using HTML based on a value threshold. There is a sample on the same on BAM 10g, samples or technotes page.
    Also, something along the same lines is demonstrated in Call Center demo as well.

  • Is it normal for a waveform graph to truncate arrays of values that are longer than others when displaying multiple waveforms on the same graph?

    I am reading back values of several waveforms that were saved to disk using the write to spreadsheet vi. Some of the data sets are longer than others eg. 35 seconds vs 45 seconds. All have the same sample rate.
    See the code segment below. If I select the larger files first then all the data will show. If I select a smaller file first the larger ones will be truncated to the size of the small file. I am using LV 7.0.

    For ex,
    When you try inseting a 1D array 'A' of 50 elements as row 1 of a  2 D array of 40 elements(in row 0 ), only only the first 40 elements will get insetred into 2 D array. You lose the last 10 elements of array 'A'
    To avoid this, I suggest you use XY graph( of course you have to create an x axis with the index of each element in the inserted array and plot on xy graph).

  • How to force waveform graph cursors to show Y value on more than one plot?

    Hello
    Is it possible to show more than one Y value on waveform graph cursors?
    Thanks in advance.
    Pawel

    Hi Dennis
    That is correct, on graph woth multiple plots I want to display multiple Y values of plots at the same X value.
    I know I can use property node to access cursor list etc. and this is how I have done it, but my question was rather if it is possible to force the cursor legend to display more than one Y value (as a native display). As a default it displays one value and you can choose which plot you want to stick to, but it would be a great feature to have possibility to expand cursor legend to display more than one value.
    The question has nice consequences. If it was possible, you could use a property node to export image of the graph, control sizes, or even simple "copy" data from the popup menu. Otherwise we need to "artificially" glue the exter
    nal controls displaying Y values if we want to export pictures, etc.
    But since you did not answer that I supose it is not possible, as I thought.
    thanks anyways.
    kind regards

    All I want to do is make a simple line graph that will show the correlation (or lack of one) However, when I try to make it into a graph, I keep either getting no lines at all or only the line for the average.  Why is this?  What am I doing wrong?  Help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks so much,
    Colton
    I'm using numbers 3.1 by the way.

    Hi Colton,
    "I keep either getting no lines at all or only the line for the average.  Why is this? "
    It's because the column labeled Average is the only one containing numbers. Appending the g or " Degrees" forces Numbers to regard the values in the other columns as Text, which has no numerical value, and can't be graphed.
    With the text stripped from those numerical values you can produce either of these two graphs. See the notes below regrding the major differences.
    Scatter chart with connected points
    Line chart
    Cosmetically, the line graph appears with thicker lines connecting the data points, and with all symbols set to open circles. I thickened the connecting lines on the scatter chart to make them more visible, and made the Average line about 40% thicker than the others. No changes were made to the lines on the line chart.
    The legend for both (Magnet 1, Magnet 2, etc.) appears as a horizontal line (or lines) of text. Selecting the box, then dragging either handle toward the other forces the labels into a vertical stack, which can then be moved to a visually better position.
    The main functional difference between the two types is in the purpose of the X axis.
    In the scatter chart, both X and Y axes are Value axes—the position of each data point is determined vertically by its Y value and horizontally by its X value.
    The Line chart is a Category chart. Category charts have one Value axis (here the Y axis) and one Category axis (here the X axis). Categories are equally spaced along the Category axis, and the data points' vertical position(in this example) is determined by the Y value of the point.
    In your case, the difference can be seen in the (horizontal) distance between the first two samples in each series compared to the (horizontal) distance between other ajacent pairs in the same series. In the Line chart, these distances are all the same. In the Scatter chart the first pair (74° and 200°) are more widely separated than the others (each 50° higher than the temperature before it).
    In cases where you are trying to show a relationship (or lack of relationship) between two sets of values (speed vs braking distance, temperature vs volume, etc.) a scatter chart usually gives a better representation.
    Practical note: Values must be placed in non-Header rows and columns. Labels, including Category labels, must be placed in Header Rows or Header columns to be picked up by the chart. The formatting of the pasted data in your initial post indicates the temperatures are in a Header column. The column labels are (and should be) in a Header row.
    Good luck with your project!
    Regards,
    Barry
    PS: You might want to check the meanings of "affect" and "effect" before commiting yourself to either on your display and in your report.
    PPS to Yellowbox: HI Ian. Looks like you got started earlier and/or wrote faster thn I did! Something odd happened in the example in your first post. The category labels have been offset one cata set to the right, and there's no 350.

    It works beautifully, except when each of the values returned equate to zero.
    When this is the case the svg chart is not returned. Any ideas?

    That will come in handy. I have some line graphs to do as well. I am using version 2.2 so i don't think they fixed it. However, i have some good news i have found a work around to my problem. With my set of data i am always going to be bringing back at max 5 values for the data, so i created an item type for each one and set a value in a temporary table. e.g.
    declare
    l_id number;
    begin
    delete from graph_temp where name like 'E0' and graph_name like 'P1_GEOM';
    select count(*) into l_id
    from parts
    where om_geometry like 'E0'
    start with childid = :P1_SELECTED_NODE
    connect by prior childid = parentid;
    if l_id > 0 then
    insert into graph_temp (name,value, graph_name) values ('E0',l_id,'P1_GEOM');
    end if;
    return l_id;
    end;
    As you can see the table only gets populated when the value is greater than zero. My graph then becomes a simple select from the graph_temp table. The only change i now need to make is to have a session id column in the graph_temp table so i only remove the correct session info each time.

  • How to get graphs with steps greater than 10

    is this the limit in numbers for graphing y vs x axis data?
    I finally figured out how to make 2d line graphs for basic analysis and graphing, (such as temperature vs volume). when I go to edit my data in the chart editor, i can only make steps as much as 10. so if i have 400 degrees, that means my graph will be every 40 on one of the axis... is there a way to increase the steps so that I can have smaller intervals than 1/10th?

    I just wanted to check because the workaround for Y axis requires a bit of work and patience.
    I built four charts from
    column A + column B ( of course you may also select the values to chart)
    column A + column C (no X-axis, no labels on X-axis, lines = none, points = none )
    column A + column D (no X-axis, no labels on X-axis, lines = none, points = none )
    column A + column E (no X-axis, no labels on X-axis, lines = none, points = none )
    Define the min and max values to get ten equal intervals in the four charts.
    Define the background to none
    Superpose the charts with the one built from column A & B at top.
    Insert a white rectangle between the upper chart (here Graphique 1) and the three others to hide the extraneous horizontal lines (-30, -20, -10).
    This way we have more steps.

  • How can I graph muliple sets of y-values against a single set of x-values?

    Hi.  I am trying to write a VI that will take columns of data stored in a 2D array and plot it with the first column being the x-coordinates and all subsequent columns (different parameters) of data being y-coordinates.  The number of these parameters is determined by the user, but it could be as high as 128.  I think that I need to write a for loop that will pair each column of y-coordinates with  the column of x-coordinates in a cluster, and then create an array of clusters to be plotted with an xy graph, but I am not sure how to do this.
    Also, it would be nice if each parameters could be its own color so they can be distinguished on the graph (each parameter is over 40,000 data points)
    Thank you in advance!
    -Pushrod

    What have you tried so far? A for-loop is a good way to do this since you have so many columns, and you can automatically have it create the array of clusters necessary for the XY graph. Basically you just need to index out the first column to get your X values, and then drive a for-loop for the number of Y values. You can determine this by simply using Array Size on the 2D array. It will return to you the number of rows and the number of columns. The coloring of each trace is automatic. One solution:

    Price Numeric (20) NOT NULL,
    I do not think you understand this datatype?  Go look at the values you are attempting to insert into this column.  For example, "$29.99".  After the insert, what value is actually stored in that column?
    DateOfBirth Numeric (4) NOT NULL,
    No. Just No.  Either change the column name to faithfully represent what values you intend to store (and apply the appropriate constraints) or change the datatype and the values that you intend to store to match the column name.  And the constraint
    that you do have:
     CONSTRAINT DateOfBirth
     CHECK ([DateOfBirth] BETWEEN '1920-01-01' AND getdate() - 5844));
    is both logically suspect and syntactically wrong. First, the upper boundary will be computed as 1999-04-29 15:50:21.670.  But, of course, your column is a whole number of no more than 4 digits.  The same issue applies to your lower boundary.
    A simple select statement will show you those errors
    select cast('1920-01-01' as numeric(4)), getdate() - 5844, cast(getdate() - 5844 as numeric(4));
    An insert statement fails with the same error.  Because, of course, your boundary values must actually be converted to numeric(4) in order to compare them against the value contained in the column.   Generally, you can convert from
    string to numeric - IF the content of the string actually contains a value that is numeric and can be converted into the specific type needed.  Not so in this case.  Is this 16 year period (5844 days) significant for some reason?  You should
    document it here in your DDL with a comment, because it is unlikely to be documented (and kept current) anywhere else.
    And lastly, your script has:
    SET IDENTITY_INSERT dbo.CUSTOMER OFF
    That is not the name of your table, and therefore that statement also fails.  The table name you used is plural.

  • Graph: Get Right Y-Axis value with GetGraphCursor

    Hello,
    I'm currently developing an application for a customer which contains data being evaluated in a graph control.
    There are different scalings of data so I use the left y-axis for digital data and right x-axis for analog data.
    Now I want to add an annotation marker with the current X and Y value being displayed, when the user clicks into the graph.
    I use those two functions to determine the position and affected plot of the marker:
     GetGraphCursor(tabHandle2, TABPANEL_2_GRAPH, 1, &x, &y);
     GetGraphCursorIndex(tabHandle2, TABPANEL_2_GRAPH, 1, &plotHandle, &plotIndex);
    Now this works fine for the left y-axis, but I can't seem to find a way to get the y-axis value of the right side plot.
    I figure plotHandle and plotIndex should help me to get this data, but sadly I don't know how to use this information.

    Ok to clarify:
    I have a graph with plot values on the left and right y axis. Some plots use the left and some the right side.
    On default there is no cursor in this graph. But I want to provide the option for the user to enable a cursor.
    When the cursor is enabled it snaps on to the closest plot and an annotation shows the respective x and y values of the plot point.
    The problem is, when the left y axis is active and the cursor snapped onto a right y axis plot, the displayed y value is wrong (since the left scale is used).
    By left clicking into the graph, the user is able to snap the cursor onto another plot.
    So the main problem is, when clicking on a plot, the active axis has to change according to the plots respective axis.
    I can easily make this decision since the plot styles are different (left side is VAL_FAT_STEP, right side is VAL_FAT_LINE), but for the axis switch to take effect on the cursor, I would need to delete and add the cursor again. But in this process I lose positioning of the cursor and it snaps to a different plot again.

  • Can you set a graph to it's default value programmatically?

    I have a waveform graph (control on the panel). I'd like to set it back to it's default value through a property node (or something). Is there a way to do this?

    Woah slow down, you've given us 14 minutes to react. I'm not sure but has a graph not a 'reinitialize to default' method?
    And out of curiosity, what is the advantage of dynamic data over doubles/waveforms/....? I am totaly NOT familiar with them but if you can be the devils advocate it would be nice.
    Success,
    Ton
