3G S - Sound the device makes when plugging in to charge
All,
Sort of out of the blue, started today, when I plug my 3G S in to charge rather than making the usual "plugged in to charge" sound, it vibrates. I restarted the device and have checked ... vibrate is turned off.
Thoughts?

Check the ring/silent switch on the side of the phone above the volume switches. If it is in the silent position you'll get 2 short vibrations instead of the chirp.

By a reset, I assume you meaning pressing and holding both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear?
What happens if you try to manually place the iPod into Disk Mode? If you can do that, I would recommend connecting the iPod to iTunes and restoring it.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I get this strange message every so often, sometimes more often than other times. It says:
USB port drawing too much power. The device that is plugged into it will be deactivated.
There are only two things plugged into the USB-The keyboard and mouse. When I get this message, the mouse freezes. If I jiggle the mouse cable where it is plugged into the USB, it comes back and everything is fine until this message comes up again.
Ever seen this before? What did you do?

So it's giving you the message when booting up from a cold system with NO devices attached? (Not even the keyboard and mouse?).
How long before you get this message?
After you get this message, if you plug the mouse in to either USB port (As each port is a seperate bus), to clear the alert, and go into About this Mac, and More info, if you expand the USB info for each bus. Is there anything there that appears to be out the ordinary? (IE Only showing one bus, Showing a device plugged into a bus that isn't plugged in?) -
I just purchased an Novella MiFi ~ I have an Ipad 2 wifi only. My ipad will recognize the device, but when I try to connect, is says I am not connected. Suggestion?
Getting connected to a mifi the first time was goofy for me as well. The message you are getting means you have not satisfied the security on the my yet.
On mine, when I set it up, I had to declare a password. But it never recognized that password for connecting devices. Turns out the password was only used for changing system settings. When connecting a device what it really wanted was the device code, similar to a router key- not your password. So look through the paperwork and find the key, and try that.

Ipod does not appear in my computer or recognized in itunes. When ipod is connected a window pos up aking to import photos off the device and when this is closed the ipod cannot be recognized. Any Help?

If the app is – in or out of background - (if in background NOT the first app) and the device locked – when you get a push message and DO NOT response straight away. let it fade off then, Later unlock, click the app icon (which will have a badge on it) and it fails to pop up my internal alert box and my notification message is gone(cannot get access to it in code).. other times it works . Including if you tap the messaeg from app centre. (this is all on a iPod 5.1.1).

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

First, I've read the manual. This new Nano won't sync and won't charge. Itunes does recognize the device. When it's connected to a Windows PC, the battery indictor shows charged. When it's not connected, the indicator shows no charge. I've tried this on two PCS without success.
Maybe the Nano you got is defective. Have it replaced.

MY iPhone 5C suddenly stopped working. It wont connect to my Mac and repeatedly reboots from the apple Logo when plugged into the wall.
There is no water damage or anything. I got that checked at the Apple store. I also have Apple Care + but didnt let them give me a new one yet because I have photos on this that I have no yet backed up that are very important. They are the last photos I have with my grandfather. Can anyone help me. Please!If the phone shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, the data on the phone is most likely lost.
Connecting in recovery mode is your only chance to use the phone again, besides getting it serviced by Apple.

I usually go to bed after my wife. I have the Do Not Disturb set for 11 pm to 7 am, and I can see the moon symbol.
So why when I go to bed at midnight and plug in my iPhone to recharge do I get a LOUD BEEP?
My wife is banning my phone from being next to my bed and an alarm clock.
To me it seems that the "Do Not Disturb" should turn this beep into a vibrate.section2i:
If that is true, then you should file that as a bug using the link above:
If I am reading what you are saying correctly, you are saying that when vibrate is 'off', and you turn on the phone and plug it in that a vibration occurs, and that it is not respecting the vibrate 'off'.
That would be a slightly different issue from what I am asking about (Do Not Disturb), and would probably need a separate bug report. -
My Samsung Galaxy Strat. II was water damaged but after putting in rice I got it to come on. The problem is, when I try to charge it with my home or car charger, i get a warning message that the charger isn't compaitble. Is this a phone or battery issue'
I am sorry to learn that your phone has some water damage smreyn! Liquid damage can cause many different issues, including inability to recognize chargers and accessories. Pretty much as the tital says really. I'm fed up of having to manually select my audio output every time I plug my macbook pro into me LED display. Can I make it default the audio to the display when plugged in?yeah- I think so, AlexGrady. see if your machine supports hdmi audio out, it should say under "about this mac"
then buy the correct adapter to your LED display. I think you also have to enable audio out via HDMI, and the adapter has to support HDMI audio passthrough

I am unable to sync my new iPhone 4s OR my iPod Touch 4 to iTunes.(this is the first time I am plugging them into iTunes) I have version 10.6.1. Both devices are up to date with the latest software version. Once I plug the device in, it is recognized on iTunes.The synce process does not start automatically. I am unable to select the sync option. I've tried reseting the device and restarting iTunes and the same problem happens. I have plugged in my husbands iPhone 3gs and the sync process starts automatically. I have also added my computer as an authorized computer for the new devices. What now?
