3rd party mailbox emails dissapered from sent items

hi,
we have 3 mailboxes, 2 are gmail accounts, the 3rd is my work email address.  it's the 3rd one that  is a big issue.  i receive emails via their pop3 server, and send emails via smtp.gmail.com.
what is happening regularly now is
1) loss of connection and imail not accepting the password for the email.
2) my mailbox is completely empty.  i rebuilt it and everything looked to have come back. but i looked at sent folder, went back to the mailbox and it was empty again - 2 minutes after the rebuild.
3) mails sent from my 3rd emaill adress are not listed in the sent folder.
i have had the 1) problem several times and have lost loads of time figuring it out but the problem keeps happening.
the missing emails is a major issue for me! and this started hapenning around the 14th august.
any help gratefully received!

Just figured it out. Somehow Gmail changed a setting on itself. I certainly didn't do it. Probably happened when the sign-in blipping started.
Click SETTINGS
Click LABELS
UN-CLICK "SHOW IN IMAP" next to your Sent folder.
Now Sent folder appears under Inbox with all my sent email listed in it.
And not to worry... As Gmail notes: Removing a label will not remove the messages with that label.

  • Why can't I remove attachments from emails in the Sent items folder?

I Recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion, and so far, there are at least a couple of things that puzzle me.
One is that now I don't have the option to "Remove Attachments" from emails in the sent items folder. It seems to work normally
in the Inbox and Drafts folders, but not in the Sent items. Go figure ???
Another thing that bothers me is that in Preview, when I save a screen shot, or a scan, etc., I no longer have the option of saving it as a GIF
(which, when better quality isn't absolutely necessary, is often much lower in KB or MB than a PNG or JPG, etc.. When I store lots of things as such images, I'd rather have that option.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have now created a smart mailbox as described above (good idea), and although I have some 50 messages in my Sent box, all with attachments (waiting to be removed so I can store the messages in the proper mailboxes), the smart mailbox is empty. So, Mail doesn't recognise these messages as containing attachments.
This led me to think that maybe Mail has been redesigned to work the way you would expect it to, at last; to contain a link to attachments instead of including them in all their bits and bytes. That would mean that the messages in my Sent box - with attachments - could be stored in local (or server-side) mailboxes without taking up extensive space.
But then I checked the size of my Sent Messages folder inside the Mail Folder in Finder, and - whoops - it's 50+ MB. So the sent messages do contain attachments all right. And Mail doesn't recognise these, since a) the smart mailbox trick says that the messages are free from attachments, and b) the Remove Attachments menu option is disabled.
I will have to wait for the next Mail update, and my Sent box will grow accordingly ...

  • I am not able to see the sent emails in the sent items folder. I am using Apple mail. Does anyone have any solutions?

I can't see the latest emails I sent in the sent items in Apple mail. Also, I am not able to see my old emails in the inbos folder. Can someone please help me out with this?

    Hello Vidish,
You may need to indicate to the Mail app which folder should be used for sent messages. This can be done by selecting your 'Sent' mailbox, and choosing (from the 'Mailbox' menu) Use This Mailbox For -> Sent.

  • Smart Mailbox Does Not Update Sent Items Automatically?

i use mail to send out proposals to clients that always have the word 'proposal' in the subject and always contain an attachment (pdf).
i set up a smart mailbox called 'sent proposals' so that i can easily view a list of proposals that i have sent out.
the criteria for the smart mailbox is:
-match all of the following conditions
    -subject contains 'proposal'
    -contains attachments
-from contains my@emailaddress (i have multiple accounts...)
    -include messages from sent
the problem i am having is that the messages are not automaticlly displayed after i send them. for instance, i sent a proposal out yesterday and it still not displayed in the smart mailbox as of today even though i have opened and quit mail 10 times and have restarted my computer.
the only way i can get it to show up is by going into the sent folder and opening the original message. if i do that, the smart mailbox suddenly gets updated and then displays the message from that point forward. unfortunately, this defeats the purpose of the smart mailbox.....
    any ideas?

    an interesing development...
i created a new smart folder called 'sent proposals 2' and set the criteria to:
    match all conditions
    subject contains 'proposal'
    include messages from sent
then i sent another test message with an attachment with the subject 'test proposal'.
the email shows up in the newly created 'sent proposals 2' smart mailbox but not in the original 'sent proposals'...
i then edited the 'sent proposals 2' smart mailbox to include the 'contains attachments' and the test proposal email disappeared from the list.
i then edited it so that the only criteria was 'contains attachments' and the test proposal email is still not showing up, although it seems like all my previous messages that contain attachments did show up.
i guess that means that the problem is in the indexing of the emails with attachments. for some reason or another, mail.app will not index the criteria of having an attachment of sent messages unless they are opened (or displayed in the preview pane) after they are sent.
can anyone duplicate this on their machine?
just set up a smart mailbox with the criteria:
    contains attachments
    include sent
send a message with an attachment to an external account (i used my gmail address) and see if it shows up in the smart mailbox. if it doesnt show up, go into the sent items and open the email, then look to see if it shows up in the smart mailbox.
    thanks,

  • Is it possible for a 3rd party program to create a list item in sharepoint online 2013?

I have limited experience with the online version of sp. I've been asked if it's possible for a 3rd party app that our company is beginning to use, to programmatically add items to a list.    I don't have any details about the program yet,
but I've been told that a batch would run at night and they would like it to create items in a SP list and pass along several fields of metadata.
Is this possible in the online version?   I know that Power Shell can do this, but is it possible for an app to get access to run a PS command?
    thanks,

    Yes.
There is something known as the Client Side (?) Object Model or CSOM. This allows you to create list items, lists and even sites with .Net code from a non server machine.
You could run 'classic' Server Object Model  C#/VB.NET or PowerShell to do the same job and it might be easier as there's alot more material out there on how to do it. On the other hand it's probably going to make your solution more complicated and
harder to maintain over the long run.
This article introduces you to the CSOM and how to use it and is applicable to O365 as well as on-premise:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/fp179912%28v=office.15%29.aspx
As an alternative you can look at the REST API which allows you to use web services to interact with SharePoint.

  • Ipad email problem displaying sent item recipient

    Hello
I am new to the iPad. Actually its my friend that has one and I am trying to get him up and running with it. We have one question to start with. He uses a PC Laptop for his main machine with an IMAP account so all the mail folders are stored on the ISP's server rather than locally.
IT all works on his iPhone and his new iPad but what we have noticed is in the sent items folder is that on both devices it displays the senders (his) name rather than the recipient on each email. Not very helpful when there are a couple of thousand emails in sent items.
My iphone is pop3 and any sent items show the recipient.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Barry

    Hi
Thanks for the reply.  No, there is no cc set up.  It is strange.  Its only on his apple devices.  His iPhone and iPad both show his name in sent items.  The inbox shows who the message is from but none of the sent folders do.  In Outlook however on his PC it shows the recipient in all sent folders.

  • Use This Thread for All 3rd Party Extension Questions (Migrating from v3-v4)

This thread is for the 3rd Party Extension developers as they update their extensions to be compatible with the new framework in SQL Developer v4.0.
To get started with the process, consult this post from the JDeveloper team. If you have questions, post them here.

What is the correct way to deploy migrated extension on local installation of SQL Developer 4 for testing?
Could such operation be automated with help of JDeveloper 12c?

  • Auto forward messages from Sent items

    Hi,
We are running Exchange 2010 and have a need to have all the items sent from a particular mailbox automatically forwarded to a second mailbox. I see this can be done using the Mail flow properties of the mailbox for incoming messages, but I don't see a way
to do the same thing for outgoing messages. Is it possible?
    Thanks
    Rich

    Hi There,
    As Ahuibers says:
    "First open the Exchange
    Management Console, expand Organization
    Configuration, and select Hub
    Transport."
    Then select the tab
Transport Rules. Right click in there and add the new rule.
    Best of luck.

  • How can I capture email addresses from Sent mail???

This may sound strange, but I'm trying to capture all the email addresses in my sent mail folder. At my work I want to send a newsletter out to folks that I previously emailed to let them know about new products. I have about 6000 emails, per year, in my 3 years of sending emails on my machine. I want to see if there is a program that allows me to go thru my folder and capture all [email protected] addresses and then I can go thru them later and delete later.
    Any thoughts?
    Tom

There is a collection of AppleScripts called Mail Scripts you can download at this link.
    http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Mail_Scripts.html
The script to use from the collection of scripts is Add Addresses (Mail) which adds addresses found in the selected messages (in the header fields "From", "To", "Cc", and "Bcc") to the Address Book. This is much more flexible than the "Add Sender to Address Book" available in Mail and provides a convenient way for creating mailing lists.

  • 3rd party reminder emailer

I saw in a recent issue of a Mac Magazine that there is a free software that will let iCalendar reminders be emailed out side the main email account in Mail. Of course, now I can not find the program name. Does anybody know of this software?

  • Messages sent from a shared mailbox aren't saved to the Sent Items.

Messages sent from a shared mailbox aren't saved to the Sent Items.
In my enviroment , I have Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 - i have a shared mailbox called
ServiceDesk. I have added this mailbox to user "Mike" and given mike "Send as Permission" .
    The problem
When ever mike sends an email from ServiceDesk
    - the email goes to his personal sent items instead of the sharedmailbox
sent items. Is there a way to force any email sent from serviceDesk Mailbox to its own sent items folder? .
    More information
Below is a similar solution to my problem but i do not want to make any changes to my registry. Please any other solution to this?
    http://www.msoutlook.info/question/278
Thanks guys for your help ..
    Regards, MassonTech

    Hi,
    This is maybe the wrong forum for this question, but anyway;
Thie site you were pointing out's solution is valid.
Please look in to the following KB article that describes the steps needed to solve this issue. A hotfix package (which you might not need and a  a "fixit" dowload for it, but will also change the registry key.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972148
If you have a larger environment and would want to deploy the registry value, I'd suggest using Group Policy Preferences Registry settings.

  • Emails sent from Thunderbird go into the "Sent" folder. Emails from Android phone go into the "Sent Items" folder. MS Outlook sees both, but TB only sees "Sent"

My university runs MS Exchange server.
I use MS Outlook on my Univ computer, Thunderbird on my laptop, and exchange email client on my HTC One smartphone running Android.
Thunderbird saves email in "Sent" folder on the server. Android phone saves it on the "Sent items" folder. MS Outlook can see both the folders, but Thunderbird only sees the "Sent" folder.
How can I make Thunderbird see the "Sent items" folder?

assuming you use an IMAP mail account:
Tools > Account Settings > Copies & Folders for the mail account
If you want emails saved in 'Sent Items'
    select:' Place a copy in'
    select: 'Other'
choose 'Sent Items' on account name'
    click on OK
To see the 'Sent Items folder you would need to subscribe to see it.
If you have a Pop mail account, it cannot see any folders on the server.
It can only download emails from server Inbox to Thunderbird mail account Inbox.

  • One shared mailbox with multiple distribution groups connected and the sent items folder - how to configure?

    Hi!
I have been struggling for a while now with the following issue.
    For starters:
We are using exchange 2010 in combination with outlook 2013 on client computers.
Cause of the limitations concerning the number of mailboxes in outlook im looking for a solution to receive and reply
to multiple aliasses. So i did the following:
    1. Configured one shared mailbox.
    2. Configured multiple distribution groups
    3.  made the shared mailbox a member of the distribution groups
    4. Configured full access and send as permissions for myself on the shared mailbox ( testing )
    5. Gave send as permissions to the shared mailbox in Active directory.
    6.  Logged in to OWA to setup rules for the shared mailbox.
I now receive emails from all connected distribution groups in the shared mailbox and also in the right folder.
I do however have to select the proper from address when i reply to an email.
the email sent by the main SMTP of the shared mailbox is placed into the sent folder of the shared mailbox.
I setup the senddelagate blabla in register.....
When i sent an email as one of the connected distribution groups it fails to put the sent item in the sent items folder of the shared mailbox. The email is sent using the proper address but placed in the sent folder of my main account.
I want this emails to end up in the sent items folder of the shared mailbox. Or even better, in a sent items folder for each of the addresses.
    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    As what
Rajkumar says, sending as a shared mailbox(full access permission) will put the email in the sent item of shared mailbox. But it cannot be located in the “sent item” of a distribution group. Because
it is a distribution group instead of a enabled user mailbox.
According to your further description, I understand that the reason why you configure that is some users reached the
limitation about the number of Exchange accounts you can include in the same Outlook profile. Is it rights? If I misunderstand, please point it out.
By default, user can only add 10 Exchange accounts to the same profile. You can customize the limit to the number Exchange accounts in the same profile using the following registry data:
    Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\policies\Microsoft\exchange
    DWORD: MaxNumExchange
Value: integer value starting at 1 (default = 10 if DWORD is missing)
