3rd party to sap using RFC adapter

Hi Folks,
I'm sending some IDOC to sap from the 3rd party. I have to use RFC (TRFC call) adapter as sender and IDOC as receiver adapter.
Can you please suggest me how to configure teh sender side.

In order to use RFC as sender need to configure the below
SAP Side
RFC destination of type T using SM59 tcode
PI side
RFC destination of TYPE t type using same tcode
Note the progid provided should be same in both RFC destionations
Then during execution of RFC in SAP side need to provide the RFC destionation created there

  • 3rd party to sap using HTTP adapter

    Hi Folks,
        I'm sending some IDOC to sap from the 3rd party. I have to use HTTP adapter as sender and IDOC as receiver adapter.
    Can you please suggest me how to configure teh sender side. As I know there will be no such configuration for the sender adapter as it is HTTP then how the HTTP adapter will get the data sent by the 3rd party and how it will pass it on to the idoc adapter ?

  • File to JDBC Using RFC Adapter.

    Hi All,
    I've been trying to find out a scenario which is like a File-to-Database where RFC is the sender and JDBC is at Receiver end.
    Kindly guide me in:
    1) What are the steps I need to do when I use a RFC Adapter to pick a file from FTP?
    2) Are the steps same for the JDBC Adapter as we do normally in a JDBC Receiver Adapter?
    3) Is there any other configuration required for this type of scenario?
    4) If I import the RFC only I wanted to know how would the file be picked from FTP Server? Is it likewhile create a RFC we import the File from FTP server.
    My Plan of Action to do the scenario is:
    1) Import the RFC from R/3.
    2) Create the data types for target.
    3) Map them both.
    4) Use JDBC Adapter on the Receiver end.
    These are the steps which I think should be done, if there are any  other steps which I need to do, please do tell me.
    Please do let me know the steps if all the are wrong as I'm doing this type of scenario for the 1st time.
    Regards,
    Sreedhar.

  • Adobe Form Data Integration into SAP using RFC

    Hi All,
    I have created a Adobe Form, there is a button Called Submit ,On clicking that button  the Adobe form must call a RFC function Module and pass the data from the form to Function Module.
    I have written the below code for the submit button but it is not working.Please Lemme know if u have any solutions..
    Below is my code
    //Submit this form to SAP using web services
      var webService = xfa.resolveNode("xfa.record.WEBSERVICE");
      xfa.host.messageBox ("test 3");
      var response = Net.SOAP.request(
      cURL: webService.value,
      oRequest: {
      "urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions:ZUPDATETIMESHEET":{
      TIMESHEET: t_time_record,
      HEADTIME:  wa_head
      cContentType: "text/xml"
      xfa.host.messageBox ("test 4");
      var success = response["urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions:ZUPDATETIMESHEET.Response"]["SUCCESS"];
      var response = response["urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions:ZUPDATETIMESHEET.Response"]["RESPONSE"];
      if (success == "X") {
      xfa.host.messageBox(response, "Response from SAP", 3);
      CONFIRMED.rawValue = "Yes";
      ConfirmedLogo.presence = "visible";
      for (var nPageCount = 0; nPageCount < xfa.host.numPages; nPageCount++) {
      var oFields = xfa.layout.pageContent(nPageCount, "field");
      var nNodesLength = oFields.length;
      for (var nNodeCount = 0; nNodeCount < nNodesLength; nNodeCount++) {
      oFields.item(nNodeCount).access = "readOnly";
      if (oFields.item(nNodeCount).border.fill.color.value == "255,0,0")
      oFields.item(nNodeCount).border.fill.color.value = "255,255,255";
      if (oFields.item(nNodeCount).ui.oneOfChild.className == "button") //Hide all buttons
      oFields.item(nNodeCount).presence = "hidden";
    ZUPDATETIMESHEET is my Function Module.
    t_time_record  and wa_head are the parameters being passed to the function Module.
    Please lemme know if i have to do any settings and configurations also...
    I have attached the entire code in the below file...
    Thanks in Advance

    Maruti,
    1. Just use the RFC's that does the update.
    2. There are update flags for each field that you would like to update. These flags should be marked be marked for update. They come along with the classes that are generated when you import the RFC's.
    3 Call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT afterwards.
    All the above steps have to be done in the program.
    Sumit.

  • Using RFC adapter as TRFC call

    Hi Folks,
        My requirement is to use the RFC adapter as a TRFC call. Can anyone guide me how to do that ?
    Regards,
       Santosh

    Hi,
       Is your RFC at the sender side or at the receiving side?
    If it is at sender side, you can call the rfc function module in UPADTE task .
    Sample Code:
    CALL FUNCTION <FM Name> IN UPDATE TASK EXPORTING ......
    If it is at receiver side, you can specify the QoS as EO(Exactly once in the sender adapter)

  • Can any 3rd party sensors be used with this system?

    I have several wireless door sensors currently in use with my ADT system that I plan to cancel soon. Is there a way to use these with the gateway?
    Can any 3rd party IP camera be used with the gateway, or only the ones provided on your site?
    Supported or not, just wondering if theses items will work. Thanx ~

    Zwave is a Propiertary standard protocol.
    Both ADT And Verizon are offering us off the shelf zwave devices.
    So we "should" have been able to use any zwave devices.
    But no...
    it appears that Verizon has decided to lock out anything they haven't sold us directly
    (lock out from their gateway).

  • Updating 3rd parties db table using JDBC adapter at sender side

    hi all.
    i just want to know how i can updated the 3rd party db table field.
    my scenario is just to retrieve data from 3rd party DB table where the condition is like " to select records where processed (field name ) = " ".
    but i just need to update this field to x immediately after retrieving data from it.
    so i simply wote the sql statement select REC_NO, ACTN_DAT, METRNO, MET-READ from PHAKAMA_CONN where processed = " ". under jdbc CC query sql stmt  at sender side .
    but i want to know how we can updated the processed (field ) from " " to "x"immeidtely after retrieving.
    so could any body advice me how we can achiev this through UPDATE SQL STMT under sender jdbc cc.i just want to know wat stmt do we need to srite under this.
    waiting for u r response.
    cheers.
    seeta ram.

    Ram,
    Execute your Select statement as needed and in the sender jdbc communication channel in the update SQL statement give this:
    UPDATE <tablename> SET <fieldname> = 'X' WHERE <fieldname>= ' '
    Also just to make sure if you have access to the database just login and execute this statement which should give the results as expected. If this works here successfully then it executes the same in XI also.

  • Logon Problem in to third party HTTP Server using HTTP Adapter

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use a receiver HTTP Adapter to communicate to third party asp based Webserver.
    The Server expects the content type as application/x-www-form-urlencoded.
    So, in the HTTP receiver communication channel I gave content type as application/x-www-form-urlencoded. The Problem is that now we are getting logon error message from the application though we use the correct user and password provided by them.
    They have given us a HTTP test tool which is perfectly working with the user ad password used in PI HTTP Adapter receiver channel.
    kindly share your thoughts on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sudharshan N A

    Satish,
    I have used Non-SAP logon only..
    I doubt that the problem may be due to some encoding issue.. since the webserver expects a different Content type (application/x-www-form-urlencoded).
    I donno if my doubt is logical
    thanks.

    Timo,
    I included the code in the VO and in my bean, I was able to generate this code snippet:
    public String GetParamterSetup() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("applyParamVOCriteria");
            operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("vcodetype", codeType);
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            System.out.println(result);
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            return null;
    I was able to get the result from the System.out.println. It returns null when there is no match. However, I  want  to return the entire row or have access to that attribute.  For instance if I have 'GB011' what the system will display for me is 'viewrow [oracle.jbo.Key[GB011 ]]'
    Pls, how can I have access to individual attributes like ParamSetup.codeType, ParamSetuo.MainCode etc...

  • Where to place 3rd party jars for use with SSPI

    I have a question regarding the SSPI. Our custom sspi uses some third party jars
    for things such as persistence and caching. Our problem is that the sspi jar
    file that is placed in the mbeantypes directory relies on some of these jars,
    therefore they must be available at startup. However since we will be installing
    the sspi on several different Weblogic 8 servers I do not want to modify each
    startup script to explicitly include each jar in the classpath.
    Is there a place or a best practice that we can use to allow the sspi find these
    libraries? Note: we tried the JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext directory which does not
    seem to work.

    You will need to have them in the classpath
