4 libraries in WindowsOS format

I imported from 10g/UNIX a database and imported into my 10g/Windows7 computer and i see that following libraries were created:
SELECT *
FROM All_Libraries
WHERE Library_Name IN ('SHA256LIB', 'CRYPTLIB', 'MD5LIB', 'SHA1LIB')
     YTIRCES     SHA256LIB     /u01/app/oracle/wrk/ptlibs/libsha256.so     Y     VALID

     YTIRCES     MD5LIB     /usr/lib/libmd5.so.1     Y     VALID
     YTIRCES     SHA1LIB     /usr/lib/sparcv9/sha1lib.so.1     Y     VALID
*/Where can i download those 4 libraries in Windows OS format? As you see currently the library's "file_spec" references to not existing folder/file path and file is in UNIX-format.
Maybe those are not public generally known libraries but self made private ones? Or maybe those libraries comes with some add-on software installation to Oracle database? Sry that i'm not very aware of those libraries, but i want to set them up in my computer.

    I understand that the 1st one is self made and it's source code can be recompiled to Windows format.
    But the last 3 libraries belongs to Solaris OS native libraries. Can i have equivalent libraries for Windows7?
    Or are those library files already in my Oracle 10g folders somewhere?

  • Can't find sound libraries in AU instruments?

    I was doing so well. I installed east West and they showed up and I could pull them into a logic project.
    Then I installed Omnisphere and could use them also. Then I installed Komplete 5 by Native Instruments and now all that shows up is Apple and native Instruments.
    All of these sound libraries are stored on an external drive.
    Anybody know how to have Omni and East West appear again?
    Scott

    That's a lot of stuff, & although that isn't a problem in itself, each of those have been known to cause problems on their own. So this could take a bit of working out… it would help if you could give us all possible details about your system.
    Then you could Refresh your Library +(Media button > Library > Refresh Library).+
    And check in EXS24 to see if they do turn up.
    Then there's your external hard drive — have you ever formatted it since you bought it? If not, it's probably formatted for Windows. +Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility+ — you need to use +Mac OS Extended.+
    This discussion deals with where things can be put & where they can subsequently be moved: [Make Room!|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2026399&tstart=0]
    Also note that some libraries for multiple formats only have one set of samples, which will be in a different folder from the EXS24 files, so you will need to locate all the relevant folders…

  • Problem with creation of jar with external libraries

    hi guys, I've no problem with creation of jar,i use this command:
    jar -mcf MANIFEST.MF NameFile.jar *.class
    my file manifest is this:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0

    I've read on sun tutorial and i've added to manifest this line:

    sorry but,the external libraries that i use are in .jar,what i've to do to include these libraries in my jar?One of 3 things
    1) Take them out of the jar, and put them in a folder, preferably a folder in the same folder as the jar
    2) Write a custom classloader to load classes from nested jars
    3) Extract the contents of all the dependency jars, and jar them all up with your own code
    The first is almost always the most preferable, the second one is doable but brittle and resistent to updating dependencies ( you have to release everything for any changes you need, even if it's not a change in your own code ) and the third one is tedious and suffers from the same robustness problems of the second, not to mention that a lot of software licences prohibit you from actually doing it. Do the first one, it's by far the most common and easiest to maintain. I really wouldn't advise the third option, ever, though. Any activity that reduces the modularity of your application is ill-advised

  • Formatting int question : 1 to 1st , 2 to 2nd, etc.

    I have a database column containing numerics 1 to 9. I'd like to display 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. to the user. I can perform this with some code, but is there a better way to format a number like this?
    Thanks,

    . I can perform this with some code, but is there a
    better way to format a number like this?Not unless you can find a 3rd-party library that does this. I think there might be libraries available to format numbers like 123 into "One hundred twenty three", but I'd be less inclined to believe there are ones to do what you're after.

    Are the AKAI samples good? If so, how does one obtain them?
    Yes, many developers developed libraries for the Akai format back when the Akai samplers were considered top of line hardware. One such company was none-other than Spectrasonics.
    http://www.ilio.com/spectrasonics/samplelibraries/index.htm
    Others included Ilio

    And Sonic Reality
    http://www.ilio.com/sonicreality/index.htm
    As mentioned, Kirk Hunter still releases his orchestral stuff in native EXS format. But yes, a lot of the Akai library is a good place to start, and the built in Akai to EXS conversion works really well (at least it did back 3 or 4 years ago when I converted my whole Akai Library to EXS).
    Also, GIGA 2 or 2.5 libraries can be converted as well. There is more required on the back-end to fix some programming that doesn't come across, but if you have a handle on the EXS, and it's editor, it's all doable.

  • Help with audio out when plugging into 3.5" jack on a MacBook's combo input

    With my old iMac, I used to plug my guitar into the 3.5" microphone jack* and either used the computer's speakers or plug headphones into the separate headphone port for audio out.
    Now I have MacBook Air with a headphone/mic combo port. I checked the sound settings in System Preferences and couldn't select speakers for external audio. Is there a way to assign audio-out to the speakers and keep audio-in assigned to the mic/headphone port? Or am I going to need to buy some dongle or adapter now?
    *How did I connect a guitar to the 3.5" port? I used a generic computer speaker wire (3.5" on each side) and plugged a 3.5" to 1" adapter (the kind you use for stereo headphones) into the guitar.

    Hi Tim -
    Please bear with me because I am no Apple expert. However, I do remember reading something that might help you out.
    You wrote that you store your sound libraries are installed on an external drive. Someone, who posted either here or on another Logic bulletin board, basically stated that problems may occur if an external hard disk drive that carries the sound libraries is FAT32 or NTFS formatted (formatted for a Windows-based computer). Apparently, an external hard disk drive utilized for sound libraries should be formatted as *Mac OS Extended* (not journaled). (I hope that someone more expert on this subject will either validate this claim or suggest another option.)
    Try doing a Search in this forum for more information on this subject. But I think how that external drive is formatted might make a difference on performance for the Mac computer.
    I come from the PC world as well. I like both the Apple and PC systems. But I really like working with the Logic program.
    Good luck to you

  • Windowless controls problem...

    Hello
    I'm using Measurement Studio (8.1.11.337) in a Visual Studio 2003
    (Standard Edition). Program itself is written in C++, and uses MFC. We
    have used (for years) UI controls without problems in Windowed mode.
    Recently, we decided that switching to windowless mode will allow for
    both better performance (we have configurations consisting of thousands
    of controls) and appearance (transparency and non-rectangular shapes).
    At the very beginning, NI::CNiKnob:etWindowless( true ) did nothing for us. We create all controls dynamically, like this:
    class AWindowClass : public CWnd {
    // some stuff
        NI::CNiKnob knob;
    AWindowClass:nCreate( LPCREATESTRUCT )
        gauge.Create( "", WS_VISIBLE, CRect( CPoint( 0, 0 ),
                CSize( configuration->getWindow( )->getWidth( ), configuration->getWindow( )->getHeight( ) ) ),
                this, 0, 0, FALSE, lic
        gauge.SetWindowless( true );   // nothing happens, still windowed
    Of course, lic is valid license string, configuration holds
    configuration, etc. Control starts in windowed mode, and insight into
    MFC sources shows clearly, that it has no intent to go
    windowless...Then, after some experiments with ActiveX Control Test
    Container (provided by Microsoft with Visual Studio), I found out that
    Windowless property needs to be set on control's startup, and then it
    works fine. Well...I guess that I have to live with that, so I did as
    follows:
    1) For first NI::CNiKnob ever created, I create it in special window _and_ in windowed mode
    2) Then, I set it's Windowless property to true, and
    3) Serialized whole thing using it's IPersistentStreamInit COM
    interface to COleStreamFile initialized by CreateMemoryStream function
    call. I think this is better way than using static files on disk (say
    that I upgrade libraries and file format changes?)
    4) Destroyed (by means of DestroyWindow) NI::CNiKnob just serialized
    5) And finally, created apropriate, final control by following call
    knob.CreateControl( "{4D79497E-BCBB-4477-9E5C-CBD7284EE8AC}", "WindowlessKnob", WS_VISIBLE,
                rect, parent, 1, & knobProperties, FALSE, license );
    (knobProperties being CFile just created, of course after flushing and resetting its read pointer)
    This time behavior is different. Breakpoints set in MFC show clearly
    that there is windowless activation in progress. But, alas, before I
    can see and enjoy my new windowless control on screen, I get assertion
    failure. Namely, CWnd:ubclassDlgItem(UINT nID, CWnd* pParent),
    defined in wincore.cpp (from line 4912 on) fires following assert on
    line 4929:
    ASSERT(pSite->m_hWnd != NULL);
    Quick check in MFC documentation, and it seems that m_hWnd _should_ be
    NULL for Windowless controls (it says "NULL if the control is
    windowless"). So control's CreateControl code should not call
    SubclassDlgItem at all.
    So the question is: how to get this to work? Am I doing something wrong?
    Any help appreciated.
    Michal

    Hi Michal,
    Thanks for your patience as I've finally figured out after digging through old
    and new source code what our official stance is on supporting windowless
    activation.
    Alright so as far a windowless activation goes, in Measurement Studio 7.0 we
    were able to set that property to true.  However, when we did, the control
    did not paint correctly as a result of us not determining if the
    control site supported windowless activation So we fixed that problem in
    Measurement Studio 8.0 by coercing the Windowless property to false if the
    dialog did not support windowless activation
    So your next question might be, how does Windowless activation take place and
    how can you be sure that we are doing the right checking? Well the way that
    windowless activation takes place is that the windowless control queries
    the client site for the IOleInPlaceSiteWindowless
    interface.  If this interface is supported and
    CanWindowlessActivate returns S_OK, the control activates itself as
    windowless, otherwise the control creates a window.
    Microsoft provides methods of querying interfaces and control sites to
    determine if they support windowless or not.  You can do this on your end
    if you want to double-check our thoughts as here is the basic code we use to
    determine this.  So basically you need to call the GetClientSite() method to retrieve a pointer to the control's
    current client site in its container.  If that pointer was called
    pClientSite, you could then say:
    IOleInPlaceSiteWindowless *pI=NULL;
    if((pClientSite && SUCCEEDED(pClientSite->QueryInterface(&pI))
    &&  pI->CanWindowlessActivate() == S_OK))
        windowlessSupport =  TRUE;
    else
        windowlessSupport = FALSE;
    Visual Basic 6.0 and other NI IDEs support the above interface and hence the
    controls can be made windowless.
    Now the MFC dialog does NOT support this (i.e. as the query CanWindowlessActivate
    fails for this) and hence the controls are not being able to be made
    windowless.  We tested both Measurement Studio ActiveX controls as well as
    custom ActiveX controls that we created in the MFC Dialog, and both were
    rendered windowed as the above query was failing. So the only way of getting
    controls to be windowless is by implementing a custom
    client site that supports windowless controls. If you are curious, the
    following article could be of some help which is called MFCClientSite.
    Now, the thread you mentioned talks about the MFC 7.0
    container which shipped with Visual Studio .NET 2002.  At the time of the release of Visual
    Studio .NET 2002, Microsoft stated that support for Windowless controls was
    added to MFC. That means that it should be present for later versions also.
    Also, MFC supports creation of windowless ActiveX controls using the ActiveX
    wizards so they must b supporting windowless activation for their containers
    (but how? who knows).  But what I can say is that the VC++ dialog does not
    defaultly support Windowless controls.  A custom site implementation must
    be provided for a container to support Windowless controls.
    So all in all, if you are using the default VC++ dialog, then our controls
    don't support Windowless.  So your best bet is to not mess with that
    Windowless property unless you are implementing your own custom control
    site.
    Best Regards and I hope this clears things up,
    Jonathan N.

  • How to have a shared library with 2 networked macs?

    Like many people I have a laptop (leopard) and a desktop (tiger) in my home, and I'd like to have a shared iPhoto library so I can download/access/edit the pictures to be available on both macs. For the laptop this would have to be set up wirelessly, and I'm thinking a large external drive is the best solution (I'd like to do the same with my iTunes library too, but I guess that's a different discussion). I'm about to install iPhoto 09 on both machines, so can anyone give me instructions on how to do this? Thank you.

    Mike
    The key factor here is the version of iLife - they need to be the same on both machines. However iPhoto 09 requires 10.5.6 minimum, so you’ll need to upgrade the OS on the 10.4 machine.
    What do you mean by ‘Share’?
    If you want the other machine to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and enable 'Look For Shared Libraries' on the other Machine. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
    You can drag pics from the Shared Library to the machine’s own Library in the iPhoto Window.
    Remember iPhoto must be running in both machines for this to work.
    If you want both machiens to have the same access to the library: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc. then:
    Quit iPhoto on both machines
    Move the iPhoto Library Folder to an external HD set to ignore permissions. You could also use a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.
    Note This disk should be formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Storing libraries on disks formatted any other way can lead to issues with importing, sharing and editing.
    On each machine in turn: Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting dialogue, select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new library location. From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both machines will have full access to the library, in fact, both machines will 'own' it.
    *Note 2* there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.
    *Note 3* A wireless connection is perfectly adequate for viewing photos in a Library. However, it is not suited for editing or organising photos in an iPhoto Library. Drop outs are part and parcel of wireless networking. Should one occur while the app is writing to the DB then the database will be corrupted.

  • Help needed from the GB experts! I've just installed Native instruments Session Strings PRO!

    Hello, I wasn't paying much attentionI've accidentally installed the VST and RTAS together with the AU format :-( Just wondering if this mistake has just caused me 3 x times the amount of hard disk space! I don't think I'd be using Protools (VST) or any of Steinberg's DAW (RTAS) anytime soon, I'm still new to all this different types of plugins, could someone tell me if I should leave these formats (VST and RTAS) in my hard drive?

I did manage to locate the VST and Digidesign folders as per your previous instructions, however both have empty files in them, I then clicked each and "get info" from the menu bar, just to make sure, but both do not have any files, nor taking any hard disk space, which is strange, maybe your correct by saying the samples that was loaded initialy AU (at 30+ gig size) are only referenced for use by the other two formats when needed...anyways I'm only using the Kontakt Player for this library so NI doesn't provide any support for any related issues, all good
    You're welcome!
    A few thoughts:
    First, make sure you check your plugin folders in both your hard drive library and home library. Perhaps it's in the other one (hard disk > library > plug-ins > etc. AND user name > library > plug-ins > etc.)
    However, because installing libraries in different formats isn't unheard of, I would guess that it doesn't install the big honking sound files more than once, for the very thing you're concerned about. Just a guess though.
    As for NI... yeah... they're not exactly known for good tech support!

    Thanks for the kind words!
    (Finally, if after checking all the plug in folders, you still had questions about this, you could always post in the Logic forum since I know some of those people use both Logic and ProTools. • Unable to access library

    Since yesterday I cannot acces my aperture library anymore. After Aperture freezed up (which happens about every other day)It tells me that I need to rebuild my database. That doesn't work since the disk permissions suddenly changed (only on my library file) Disk utility won't let me repair disk permissions on the drive where my library is. (It's a external HDD Fat 32)
    Does anyone know how to solve this?
    Thanks

    You cannot safely store Aperture Libraries on FAT32-formatted drives, only on HFS+ formatted drives.
    The first thing you should do is copy the entire Library package onto an HFS+ formatted HD, then try rebuilding the Library after double-clicking on the Library in it's new location.

  • Install Oracle Enterprise Linux

    We have an old workstation (Dell Precision WorkStation 530 with 2.40 GHz Intel Xeon processor, 2 GB RAM, and 3 36-GB hard dirves) and I would like to use it as a test box for Oracle on Linux. I tried to install Oracle Enterprise Linux, but it stuck at the some point every time, either during installing libraries/modules or formatting disk. The place the installation stuck varies. It does give any error message, but the installation just stops there fore hours or days. I tried Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 DVD, Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 DVD, and latest image CDs downloaded form metalink. All have the same issue. That installation starts as normal, then slow down, then freeze. I tried installing Fedora Core on the box using CDs from a Linux book yesterday, but it was successful and worked fine. I am wondering where there are some hardware incompatibility or other issues associated with the box. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
    George

    Hi, George.
    I think you'll have to determine the motherboard and other periferals in your machine to find out which one is incompatible with OEL. The most probable culprit is the motherboard. Find out which model it is and Google, using the model and the term "Enterprise Linux" (or RHEL or Centos, they are all the same).
    There may be workarounds, if it's indeed an incompatibility issue: settings in the CMOS Setup or advanced parameters for booting the installation -- usually related to the drives (HD, DVD, SATA mode etc) or to P'n'P periferals (USB, for instance).

  • Audible volume not responding to volume automation envelopes

    I'm having an issue where the volume automation that shows up in the timeline (or whatever STP calls it) is not what I'm hearing or what's showing in the meters.
    The problem has only started occurring since I started using another copy of the media on different drives than what the project originally referenced (different city, different drives). I had to reconnect a ton of files.
    I thought the problem may have been because not all the media is 16/48 AIFF (random SFX libraries with different formats). Then I realized that some clips, which weren't the right format, were working and some AIFF's were not.
    I have no access to the original drives right now, so that's out of the question.

    Is the volume actually lower, even though the icon shows maybe 3 arcs?
    You could have the volume set to less than all the way up and the icon may still show high. Lower the volume one more increment and the icon may jump to a lower level.
    So say that your volume is set anywhere between 2/3rds and full, the icon would show full.

  • Convert .mll(maya link libraries) file to .so format

    is it possible convert a .mll(maya link libraries) file to .so format .

    Hello.
    I downloaded an .mll file from some 3d graphics site (I hope this is the same file format you use) and took a look on this file.
    It is simply a Windows DLL file. The question is now: Is it possible to convert DLL files to .so. I have many experience in programming and I would say: Yes (maybe such tools exist but it should be possible to write such a tool if it does not exist, yet.).
    Your main problem will be the dependencies of the .mll file. The file I downloaded requires functions defined in OpenMaya.dll and in some other DLLs. You'll have to replace these functions. This may become very difficult.
