4 NEO2's and 4 USB 3/4 Failures

I've built 3 NEO2's so far and each one of them runs flawlessly but I continue to have a single problem with each one.
I don't use floppy drives but instead 7:1 card readers. I've used 2 different kind, one from Inwin, and another that was a generic. Both of them have USB Passthrough in addition to the card reader.
Each card reader works once, and only once. The USB passthrough continues to work but the card readers disappear from My Computer. Even rebooting, plugging and unplugging.
I have not seen this in person except once on a board I had to RMA due to a bad sound chip, assumed the USB problem went along with the sound problem.
All are Windows XP SP2, all 3 3500's, 2 Winchesters, 1 130mm, 2 with Nvidia cards, one with a Matrox card, all with good PS's, one has RAID the other two do not.
I have them plugged into the USB 3/4 pin out right next to the front panel connectors.
Other than that they all run perfect, never a single problem except this. I doubt its the card reader themselves. On the 4th board that failed that same card reader worked in another MB, once before failing.
Its like the draw is burning something out almost or I'm missing something really simple.

Having two more in front is a good idea if you have USB2.0 quality cables/connectors in front of your casing. Otherwise, use the S-bracket for the last 2.
The TWO ports are already on JUSB1 - I think JUSB2 would have been implemented if MSI had opted to put only 4 USB port connectors onboard - but they made it 6 so they took out JUSB2 :]

I think if you use the front panel audio connectors, that's what SHOULD happen. Check out the section on Front Panel Audio Connector JAUD as well as the Appendix regarding using 4 or 6 channel audio

K8N Neo2-F and Floppy

Hi All,
Just install a new mobo (K8N Neo2-F) and all is good, but I want to update the bios to fix the USB 2.0 problems. I just ordered a new Sony floppy drive and installed it. When I turn on the computer the green light stays on the floppy and it never gets detected (WinXP x64). I checked the power and it's in right and the cable is installed correctly. I did notice that the floppy connector on the mobo is missing pins. Is this by design on this board? Also, I tried booting from a usb floppy to no avail. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for your help.

floppy cable always missing some pins but make sure that pin 1 (red) is on the correct side (see instructions that came with the floppy). You may need to enable FDC (floppy drive controller) in bios. You may need to enable USB boot in bios also if that is what you want to use, but this could create other issues I think. Good luck.

[Other 865 Series] MSI 865PE Neo2-V and Dual Channel Mode Question

Hello, I have a quick question regarding dual channel mode with my current motherboard. I have an MSI 865PE Neo2-V and am wondering if it is possible to enable dual channel mode while having three RAM modules inserted in the motherboard.
For example, I currently have one 512MB PC3200 module in my computer. If I purchase another 512MB module and run them in dual channel mode, will it be possible to buy a 1GB module or another size module, and still have all three slots run in dual channel mode? Or is dual channel only operational on this motherboard if only two of the three slots are occupied?

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! I connected to itunes and it did restore from a backup but it is a major inconvenience. I am also searching for answers, but better back-up regularly!

Thanks. I haven't mixed down the audio or checked the number of tracks in Prefs. Good points.
As far as a mixdown goes, I'll definitely give it a try, though I wonder whether or not the tracks will be recognized during mix down recording - given that you can't hear either of those segments in playback. Just have to try.
Re the preferred number of allowed tracks - I'll go check as soon as I send this off, but I'm not sure that applies in this case, since the two Channels containing the segments that are pinked out are not in additional tracks. I should have mentioned that other audio clips and segments on the same Channels in the SAME tracks ARE heard in playback. As are two additional track in the 2nd Sequence. It's only when the two sequences are joined that the pink tinted segments can't be heard. Within the sequence the same audio cuts playback as they should. Thanks again &

I have Equium M50 (59E) and got bitten by an update that took out my touchpad and keyboard .I have made fresh install of XP Home and have all updated drivers and all is going well .The last update i cant seem to fathom is for

The update fixes all kinds of issues of the kind i am having and is a recomended update from Driver detective ,that i use offten .
The trouble is it says to uninstall drivers for the one i have installed allready and when i do this it knocks off my USB mouse leaving me not able to install the new ones .When i reboot it installs the ones i dont want reinstalled .

FX-55 and NEO2-FIR and poor performance

I just upgraded froma NEO-FIS2R using a Athlon 64 3200+ to a NEO2-FIR and a FX-55.
I got it all working - only after finding out that the Promise controller isn't compatiible with the old Promise controller on the NEO2-FIR.
First thing I did was do some benching - I spent over $1000 for the FX-55 and NEO2-FIR and was hoping to see some significant performance improvement.
Unfortuneately I don't see it. I've loaded the Performance options in the BIOS, made sure that DRAM settings were SPD (I have Mushkin Black LevelII DDR3500 matched dimms - supposed to do 2-2-2-5)
Any advice at all? I'm getting less than 5000 in 3DMark05 - and other like systems are over 6000.
If I go too agressive on memory timing the system is really unstable.
Are there known issues with the FX-55 and the NEO2-FIR? Are there any rec'ds?

Have you run any program to test the cpu at 100% like super PI or the like?
People just dont understand 3Dmark is a Graphics benchmark and a synthetic one at that. CPU tests in 3dmark account for so little and there are so many variables that can affect the test like drivers, OS, BIOS settings, programs in the background that I dont consider 3dmark a worthy benchmark for machine power except for GPU performance.
Use something else like SUper PI, or Sandra, to see how much Horseporwer your machine really has.

Update: It seems as though the phone will charge if I plug it in and then turn it off. It will not charge while the phone is on. Also iTunes will not recognize it, so I can't sync or anything. I read somewhere that it could be a fuse somewhere?? Or maybe the dock connector. Where is the best place to get this repaired?

Whats the difference between Fatal1ty and Fatal1ty USB headset? What is the $30 price difference for other than a USB connection?
Also, what is the advantage to using the USB port?
Still trying to decide on which headset to buy. I will be using these mainly for gaming and some music. Although i'm not real picky when it comes to music quality. Even considered the HS-1200 wireless. Which headset of these 3 has the best sound quality and better quality?

Any USB sound related item is going to use system resources instead of the non usb version. The non usb version uses the resources of the sound card and not system resources. So you should get cleaner sound with the non usb version.
But, be aware creatives tech support is not the best in the world. Keep that in mind when buying a product from them.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
