401K Plan Setup

1. Anyone have a separate 401k regular and catch up plan setup? Our requirements requirement that once the employee reaches the pre tax limit 16.500, than the catch up contribution plan should start. Since, we can have separate contribution percenatge for regular and catch up plan, this is why this needs to be setup as two separate savings plans.
2. Also, another requirement is not to accumalate in /102 401k elgible wages, if the employee has no contribution or stops the contributioin for ro 401k plan. I know, that if we check the wage type to accumalte for /102, it does not matter if employee contributes or not, the the /102 accumalates. As anyone done this through standard config, user exit, or any other suggestions?

create two similar 401K plans, for catchup plan set Regular 16500 limit to Zero hence new plan will only use Catcup contribution as soon as it is created via infotype with new contribution %.

    Hi Sai,
    I though it is a standard setting in billing plan before as well.
    But with the "start of the month" or "end of the month", it will lead to 13 billing period generated. But what I want is exactly 1 year, i.e. 12 month billing only.
    As I listed before.
    If the start date is 23/06/2009, the contract end date will be 22/06/2010, and base on this standard billing plan, it will generate 13 billings!!

    Yeah, we got this one. Can't remember exactly what it was but some things to check are:-the user has local admin rights-the UDL is correct-is essbase runningHope this helps.

  • Default plan - Setup issue

    We are facing an issue while setting up a default plan in Benefits. Under Program Enrollment Requirements -> Life Event -> Plan, the check box for 'Assign on Default' is enabled and rest of the configuration under that tab has been made blank. However, this plan doesn't come up in the Enrollment form after the corresponding life event has been processed.
    We have other default plans which have similar configuration and are working correctly. This is the only plan with the problem.
    Can anyone give me some pointers on what could go wrong.

    What plan type is it? Do you have a min/max number of plans attached to that plan type?
    How many options are available for the plan and is one specific option set up as a default?
    Did you try and make the default set-up at the plan enrollment requirements level?
    You may want to set up the enrollment method as automatic for that plan under program enrollment requirements.
    I would start looking at those things.

    We are setting up the core tables for Benefit and we approached client and received below requirements on all the benefit plans that they are going to provide. Looking at below list, our client seems really generous:
    1. Health -
    a) Medical/Visoin
    b) Dental
    c) Domestic partner medical/vision
    2. Life -
    a) Sup life 1x-5x
    b) Life AD/D
    c) Dependent life (Children)
    d) Spousal Life
    3. Disability -
    a) LTD
    4. Leave -
    a) Sick
    b) Vacation
    c) Personal
    d) Company Car
    5. Retirement -
    a) Retirement
    6. Pension
    a). Pension
    7. Vacation buy/sell
    a) Buy
    b) Sell
    Here is what we have done so far :-
    For 1a and 1c we have added customer plan types with code 1Z and 1Y respectively since the existing ones didn't look relevant. This plan means, vision coverage will come under medical coverage. but dental will be standalone.
    For 2a, we have added 5 plans as per the requirement 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x ,5x
    2c and 2d will be awarded only when employee takes supplemental life.
    for 5a, created a new plan type with more relevant meaning with code 5Y.
    Finally, Our questions are:
    1 - Have we set up these plans correctly? if you think there should be changes in this please share you thoughts
    2 - Can we combine 2c and 2d instead of keeping them separate because if employee takes any supp life then dependents can be covered, and dependents means if employee is married then spouse + 2 children but if single then both parents.
    3 - Why do we have the option "Self-Service Plan Description" only for 1x, 3x, 5x and 7x. does it means employee will have opportunity to elect in these plans only?
    What about supp life where there are 5 type of plans and if employee doesn't have above option then how will he/she decide which plan can he/she elect?
    4 - Why is it required to give vendor name for Leave and vacation buy/sell plan types? is it applicable for these two plan types? what does vendor have to do with Leaves?
    We are in the starting phase of setting up benefits so we really need your help continuously so please respond back with your valuable thoughts

    Yes, you are right create for each grouping create a separate age groupings. And define "Employee contribution variant"  check mark age  then assign the age groupings you create to Employee contribution rule.. Finally assign these variant to the savings plan..

  • OIC: functional plan setup question

    Hi all,
    Can any one out there help me out?
    All of the incentive comp plans that I currently have set up use a tiered approach to determining the commision rate that a particular employee gets for each sales transaction. Sales amounts are accumulated for the fiscal year and all transactions in the current period are calculated using the YTD accumulated sales amount maintained on the CN_SRP_PERIOD_QUOTASA_ALL table in the COMMISSION_PAYED_ITD field (my interval period is 1 week Sun-Sat). Meaning that the commisson for all the sales transactions in a given week use the same tier amount.
    For example:
    Employee A has accumulated $100,001 YTD sales at the end of the current week since he is over $100,000 all his transactions should have a comm rate of 10%.
    Employee B has accumulated $99,000 YTD sales at teh end of the current week since he is under $100,000 all his transcation should have a comm rate of 8%.
    When I run my calculation I run it for the current week, plus the previous 5 weeks
    I have a requirement for a different type of tiered approach that I am unsure how to configure.
    I need to be able to calculate a commission still based on the YTD accumulated sales, but instead of using the YTD sales total at the end of the current week I need to be able to jump to the higher comm rate at the transaction level.
    For example:
    Employee A finished last week with a YTD accumulated sales amount = $99,000
    This week the same associate sells 1 transaction for $500, this should pay comm at 8% (before the transaction was sold his YTD amount is less than $100,000)
    The next day (still in the same week) the same associate sells 1 transaction for $1,000, this should pay comm at 8% (before the transaction was sold his YTD amount is less than $100,000)
    The following day (still in the same week) the same associate sells 1 transaction for $100, this should pay comm at 10% (before the transaction was sold his YTD amount > than $100,000)
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can configure a plan like this?

    But its item #1 that presents challenges for me.
    I would be grateful if you could share your thoughts on what the input expression for my problem would look like.
    Right now I don't thaink there is an out of the box solution.
    So, because I need to process my transactions in transcation order I think I am going to need to create within my input expression the functionality to retrieve the prior period (weekly) commission_payed_itd from cn_srp_period_quotas. And then for the current period (week) I will need to sum up the transaction amounts for all transactions < the current transaction. That will give me the total sales in the current week. Add that to the prior week commission_payed_itd to give the accumulated sales YTD at the time the current transaction.
    This way I can still use my currebnt calc process which calcs for the entire week.

    What is the significance of the Checkbox - Belongs To Employee
    2) How is the 401K ROTH Plan linked to 401K Plan in the SAP system ? I mean is there any special node to link these 2 plans ?
    3) When an emp opts for both 401K and 401K ROTH Plans, how is the Employer match determined ? Is there a preference ?

  • How to get the plan I originally signed up?

    Hi,
    This is such a nightmare and long long story. When iphone 6 came out last month, I upgraded my old phone and signed up for More Everything plan with the 10gb data for $80 in the store plus for each phone I get 1 gb free data per upgraded smartphone (I have 3 lines that were upgraded). At first, the sales rep said he can't make a change to my account until all my phones are activated. I told him it will be all activated by tonight. He said he will ensure to get my account change later today or tomorrow and I do not need to worry. I went back to him the next day to tell him and again I was given the same **.
    A week later, I called 611 to make sure my plan did change but the rep said he did not see any change on the account and he'd be happy to sign me up for the More Everything and their current promo for the 10gb data for $80 plus the 1gb free per line so a total of 3gb. After on the phone with the rep for over 45 mins and confirmed everything to make sure I have the plans setup and all. He said my $80 10gb data plan will stay as long as I have the plan and no changes to my account and that my new plan will go in effect on my next billing cycle which is 10/18. I trusted his words and think he put it through.
    On 10/20, my husband logged into verizonwireless.com to doublecheck and nothing was change. Very disappointing so I called 611 again. This time I was told that my plan didn't kick in and that they no longer offer that $80 10gb plus the 1gb free data for upgrading. I am sooooo upset after what I went through. On top, I found out that one of my line that I was trying to disconnect for a month did not disconnect and I am still paying for it. Even more upsetting.
    What I want right now is someone get me the data plan I was promised. I can't believe I trusted Verizon reps and salesperson for everything but for nothing. On top, I am now stuck with Verizon for 2 years since I just upgraded. I was a loyal Verizon customers for like 10 years and this is what I get?????? I hardly ever make a change in plan and I got screwed up big time. I am unable to lock in the rate I was promised.
    Verizon you guys are horrible. At this point, if I have a choice, I am leaving you guys.

    Really sorry to hear that.  If they cant follow through with what was promised then it might be time to say no thank you and try another provider.  I am currently dealing with a dispute with them where I took my phone in for the trade in program and they lost the phone and now I'm unable to get my credit.  Plus, they have the nerve to lie to me in my face and say they never took it and they cannot be held responsible.  Filed the complaint earlier today.

  • Media Center Server Setup

    I dont know what forum this should go in, since it uses a lot of different macs, but i'll try here
    What kind of external RAID storage would you recommend if I need about 8-10 GB of storage. i need it to appear on one volume, preferrably coming in as a hardware RAID from the enclosure. i dont need it to be redundant, as I can back up the contents separately.
    I will be setting up a media system as follows:
    Server with lots of storage, probably my current mac pro, or an older G5. if it can handle it a G4 (my quicksilver), but I dont know if it can. I will have the RAID array coming into this computer. It could even be 2 smaller 4-5 GB RAIDs which I could then software RAID on the "server". I dont want these RAIDs to connect with USB. I dont know if Firewire would work, but i think the best choice would be firewire 800. this server will also run itunes to stream music, and video if itunes can lay surround sound. i'm not sure if it can though, does anyone know?
    the reason I need so much storage is because I will be storing HD video from blu ray, and hopefully later on from HD DVDs too.
    the other computers will access the server though the network
    My desktop (a new mac pro when it is released), which will access the drives on the server for storage. apps and the like will obviously be stored on the desktop computer, but all the media will be streamed from the server. any files and the like will also be backed up to the server, and disk images and the like will be stored and accessed straight from the server.
    2 televisions each with their own mac mini as a media player. i would keep my apple tv, but it wont do surround sound, and the mac mini will. both of these also accessing the server for everything. sharing music through itunes and hopefully video too. if itunes wont do surround sound, then I would need other software (any recommendations?)
    mobile computers: my two laptops, and guests laptops. my two would also store practically everything on the server
    iMac: a secondary desktop, functioning just like my main one
    a third television running my apple tv. it will be in the second bedroom, and will not need surround sound. also, it will not be capable of playing 1080p, but will play all the other content and music.
    the questions I have are:
    -what enclosures would you recommend?
    -is there any way to set this up so I can watch HD video on both mac minis at once, or would there only be sufficient bandwidth for one? maybe setting up 2 networks, one for each mini?
    -could I stream 50 mbps video over apples airport extreme,or would I need to use a wired network?
    -what computer should I use for a server? how much ram and what other upgrades?
    -will the low end mac mini play 1080p video or would I need the higher end one?
    -how much RAM should i have in the mac minis?
    -should I share the internet connection through the server, or plug the server into the internet connections network? it will be a connection of at least 6 mbps, but hopefully more along the lines of 12-16 mbps
    also, if anyone has any advice as to how to improve my planned setup, please let me know. I will barely be furnishing my new home, so I havent bought most of this yet

    I'll only speak to the storage issue. I assume you are meaning 8-10Terabytes of storage. I'd start at http://www.amug.org and look at enclosures. A pair of 5 bay port multiplier esata enclosures with a matching pci card controller would be just the ticket to create a 10 disk array. I don't see how you can reasonably backup the contents separately. If you raid this into a single 10tb array that you actually need are you saying you'll back it up with stacks of blue ray disks? Good luck with that, but I guess it's not impossible if in fact these drives are actually backup for blue ray disks you will be accumulating. But if that was the case I don't know why it would be important to make it into one big array.
    I'd stick with 1tb drives. It would be no cheaper to go with more 750's since you'd need more enclosures to do it.

  • Savings Plan Contribution is not getting processed in Payroll

    Hello Friends,
    We are in the process of upgrading our system from 4.0 to 4.7, After correcting the schema as per the release/OSS notes, we are getting Savings Plan Contribution as blank (Retirement Savings).
    Cumulation values are coming thru right but current period contribution is missing.
    Earlier we had P0169 with P61, now we do not see processing class(PCLS)61 in the PCLS list. Our earlier wage types were referring to PCLS 61, I am not sure if this is causing an issue.
    Please let me know if you have any faced similar situation and have an answer.

  • Authorisation in BW 7.0 with Planning.

    Hi All,
    Have been setting up a new Authoridation object for our planning setup.
    The planning team would like to set up multiple permissions on 4 agregation levels coming off the one multi provider. The new authorisation concept allows you to specify the info-provider as the multi, but does not allow you to specify the aggregation level which we want to limit it to. Most users read off this aggregation level, but there are a few who write to it, and I need to be able to differentiate between them in the Authorisation object, but assigning 02 to one lot, and 03 to another. But these people may not have write access to another aggregation level running off the same multi.
    Is there an authorisation object that I have missed which I can add to specify the aggregation level in the authorisation object?
    Second question is that if you use S_RS_AUTH to assign an Authorisation object to a role, is it only relevant for that role or will it's permissions carry accross to other roles a user might have?

    Is this using the new concept of security or the old one?
    Don't you need some type of planning level object or agregation level object within the authorisation object rather than the role? If you authorise in the new security model it will authorise to the muli level, and if you wanted only certain users to view agregates above it they would all have access as the new model gives them access to the multi.
    We are currently prefacing all queries with the agregate level they are giong through and we use this to secure in S_RS_COMP.....was hoping there was an object in the new security model which would allow us to select which Agregation level they were allowed to view so it could be tied up in the same auth object.
    Can you control the planning level from within the new object?

  • Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 Not Supported For Planning ?

    I just noticed this entry in the Platform Matrix:
    Oracle database 11.2.0.1.0 is supported only for: Calculation Manager, EPM System Installer (requires 11.1.1.3.05), EPM Workspace,  ERP Integrator,  Financial Reporting (requires 11.1.1.3.28), Performance Management Architect, Shared Services (requires 11.1.1.3.11)
    Ok so I guess this rules out 11.2 as a supported RDBMS for Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 ? I imagine anything lower than that, say 11.1.0.6.0 or lower should not be a problem then ?
    Or does this mean it's not officially supported, but will work just fine? Not worth taking the chance though right?

    Now if one was to implement say Oracle 10g, or an earlier version of 11g, and then later upgrade the RDBMS to a higher, supported version would that have any implications on the Planning setup? Generally spealing if one wanted to upgrade to a higher database after the implementation what would be the steps one needs to take?

I have already OPM Process Planning setup, I don´t have sales orders just forecast and associate it with the correct schedule, the schedule parameters are ok, Formulas have a effective dates, Recipe have a effectivity dates and validity rules. Besides already setup Warehouse, production and transfer rules, and items Plant-Warehouse relationship. When I run MRP, it doesn't show me any error message, in MRP
    Material activity inquiry it only shows me the demand but not the supply and in the Action Messages inquiry shows me the action messages type: SHRT (Inventory Shortage) and in the message text indicate: Could Not Plan; Consequently I cannot manage any plan. Some of you could help me with this problem.

    My suggestion is to check the lead times and to check the setup of Plant warehouse relationships. This normally is an issue with setups. This message come normally for any setup issue

  • Best Practise for managing SRM user setup

    Hi ... I am looking for some best methods that you are following in your projects, in order to manage the SRM user setup.
    My users are concerned about the time taken from user submitting a request for user creation or org plan setup or changes to user profile ..... to the actual work done in SRM. Lot of time and effort are spent in manage this task.
    Other concern is, each user request has to be dealt individually. They are looking for some automation of the process which would process bulk requests belongs to differnet users from different departments. From my experience, one thing we can think of is generating a upload program. But I think that would also be complicated for chaning the existing profile.
    Just thought of checking with you .... whether you have any process which results in less time and effort spent in managing these activities? Please share your thoughts.

    Different people will tell you different versions of what they believe is best practice, but in my opinion you are already doing reasonably well.
    What I prefer is
    1. Lock ID & set validity date.
    2. Assign user to user group LEAVER or EXPIRED or something similar (helps with reporting) out of SUIM/S_BCE* reports.
    3. Delete role assignment (should you need it, the role assignment will be in the change history docs anyway).
    4. Check background jobs & act accordingly.
    For ease of getting info I prefer not to delete the ID though plenty of people do.
