404 Error at Login

I'm attempting to log in to my SkypePro account and when I type user/pass I am directed to page: https://secure.skype.com/portal/overview?intcmp=sign-in and get the following:
404 Not Found
nginx
 This is extremely irritating. Is this a general problem or just my account. Account name is jeremyboucher.

While there is a hosting company with the name of Nginx, that's not what's going on in the experiences described by the op.
The error you're receiving is an http response from a web server that can't locate it's resources.  The internal response code on that specific error is '404'    Which is why we call them 404 errors, and why some websites do cute things with the output of that error so you can see nifty graphics and maybe an appology somewhere on the page instead of the default giant sized rendering of the error code that you're seeing in that error.
nginx is output beneath the error display, as a bit of debugging information, it tells us that the server responding to the request for that page is running an http server that was named nginx.
So you're likely still on a microsoft domain, that is serving content using the nginx software on one of their servers.
why youre getting that error?  Only one of their engineers (or some clever technical snooping) can tell us that.

  • Getting 404 error when trying to login to Oracle EBS page

    Hi,
    I had installed Oracle EBS 12.0.4 last year and everything was running fine until last week. Last week, we suddenly started seeing this issue - when trying to login to the Oracle EBS page, we are getting the 404 page not found error.
    I have EBS installed on 2 VMs (virtual machines) - one VM has the application server and other VM has the database server. I logged on to the aplpication server to do some debugging and noticed 2 things ->
    1.The Oracle Fullfillment service was not running. I started it, it was up for some time but then it stopped on its own. This happens everytime - after successfully starting the service, it shuts down after sometime. There is nothing in the event viewer except this message "The service may have terminated abnormally, please see the log file generated by the service for more details." I checked the log file, but there is nothing significant inside the log file. Maybe I need to increase the log level. Can any one tell me how can I do that?
    2. Reviver.exe was crashing intermitently on the application server. I belive reviver tries to establish the connection between the application and database server after its broken.
    So I am thinking now that maybe the connection between the app server and the database server is getting broken intermittenlty and this is the root cause of all the problems.
    I dont know how to verify whethe my analysis is correct or not? And it it is, how to resolved it? Is there a setting or a configuration file in which you have to specify the database server details (ip address / host name etc). Can you tell me where can I find this setting?
    Or culd there be something altogether different that is causing the page not found error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Megha

    Hussein,
    The problem is partially solved - I am not getting the 404 error now. The issue was not with the netsvc file. Please see the resolution in NOTE:412980.1 (oafm,forms and oacore not starting up after IP adress change).
    The OC4J services are imperative for any URL for java code. With just the Apache listener running, examples of URLS that will work are ->
    http://HOST.DOMAIN:PORT/OA_MEDIA/FNDLOGOL.gif
    http://HOST.DOMAIN:PORT/
    Any URL for Java code will fail at this stage when OC4J services are down. For example this URL will fail: http://myHost.oracle.com:8000/OA_HTML/ServletPing.
    But now, I am getting 500 Internal server error. Let me know if you kno anything about this error ->

    I updated an iPod touch, an iPad 2, and an iPhone 4 to iOS 6, and all of them now will not connect to WiFi. They all give this wierd 404 error page from Apple and insist that I need to login to the network. What's the fix? None of the recommended fixes work in any of these devices. Reset device, reset network, renew lease, etc. None of them work.

    Does the iPod work OK?
    Does it charge when connect to the computer?
    Does it appear in My Computer?
    Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
    I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1353#iPod_touch_late2009
    iPod touch (3rd generation)
    iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.
    The iPod touch (3rd generation) can be distinguished from iPod touch (2nd generation) by looking at the back of the device. In the text below the engraving, look for the model number. iPod touch (2nd generation) is model A1288, and iPod touch (3rd generation) is model A1318.

    you might have other problems, but I think the action attribute in your HTML form is incorrect.
    You have:
    <form method="GET" action="/htmlform/LoginServlet">Your web.xml says:
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>Login</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/login</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>So I think you should change the action like this:
    <form method="GET" action="/htmlform/login">Your servlet's not in a package, and you might not be deploying it correctly (god forbid you added this to /ROOT), but try that first.

  • 404 error when hit submit from php file for requested path E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.htm

    I have a php script that when I hit submit, it submits the form to another php file with a get command.  This worked about a month ago, but this month it's having issues.  This is what the relevant code looks like in the table php file. Running
    table.php shows the table in the browser and has 404 errors when I hit submit.
    table.php:
        <body>
            <h1> Visual Evaluation Entry Table </h1>
            <form method="get" action="visEupload.php">
        <table id="bigTable" border="1">
            <thead>
             <tr>
               <!--<th id="bandY" class="col3">Bands @263mm Y</th><th id="bandM" class="col3">Bands @263mm M</th><th id="bandC" class="col3">Bands
    @263mm C</th><th id="bandK" class="col3">Bands @263mm K</th><th id="Comments" class="col3">Comments</th>-->
             <th id="bandY" class="col3">Bands @263mm Y</th><th id="bandM" class="col3">Bands @263mm M</th><th id="bandC" class="col3">Bands
    @263mm C</th><th id="bandK" class="col3">Bands @263mm K</th><th id="Comments" class="col3">Comments</th>
             </tr>
            </thead>
            <tbody>
                <tr name="MCBands" id="9214">
                    <!--<td><input name="Yevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 1-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Mevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 2-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Cevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 3-->
                    <!--<td><input name="Kevaluation" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <!--<td><input name="comment" ></td>  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <td><input name="bandY" ></td>  <!--//Row 0 Column 1-->
                    <td><input name="bandM" ></td> <!-- //Row 0 Column 2-->
                    <td><input name="bandC" ></td> <!-- //Row 0 Column 3-->
                    <td><input name="bandK" ></td><!--  //Row 0 Column 4-->
                    <td><input name="comment" ></td>
                </tr>
            </tbody>
        </table>
          <input id="submit" type="submit" class="list" name="submit" value="Submit To Database" >
           <!--maybe move all php part to other file-->
           </form>
        </body>
    The server is mapped so when we run it off of the server, we use the server ip address and my file name and skip the rest of the path, which works fine with the table.php file, so that mapping appears correct.  When I run it off of the server (from my
    desk) and hit submit it gives me a 404 file or directory not found.  When I run it locally on the server, it's saying it can't find the file name, but it says the requested url is `http://localhost:80/errorpages/403_error.html.`  Physical path: E:\vise\jqproject\web\errorpages\403_error.html.
    The error message says the notification is from the MapRequestHandler of Module IIS Web Core. I'm not sure why the requested url/path isn't referring to visEupload.php.
    (Running on the server) When I change the action in the table.php get to include the IP address, it's behaving weirdly:
    Module IIS Web Core Notification MapRequestHandler Handler PHP53_via_FastCGI, Requested URL `
        http://localhost:80/13.141.xxx.xx/visEupload.php?bandy=xx&bandM=xx&bandc=hj&bandk=xx&comment=xx&submit=submit+to+database
    physical path shows as E:\visE\jqproject\web\13.141.xxx.xx\visEupload.php
    Login Method and user Anonymous.
    When I change the url to just be
        localhost/viseUpload.php
    it's getting HTTP Error 404 not found.  Any ideas why it's not finding the visEupload.php file?  It has the correct .php extension.  In file properties it's a type php file with name visEupload.php.
    I took a look at
    [404 error][1] but I see my "allowUnlisted="true" in applicationHost.config. I'm not using sitefinity, though.
    I'm not sure if something got over-written when we did a server windows update.
    I know we were having a problem with get and post a couple months ago and we had to add them to the IIS Manager Handler Mappings somewhere, but don't remember where we added them to check.  Since I tried directly accessing the visEupload.php without any
    get (and commented out get code in the file) it should have worked if that was the issue.
    We are running server 2008 R2 and I'm not sure which version of IIS it is.
    In case it matters, this is the contents of the visEupload.php:
        <!DOCTYPE html>
        <html lang="en" >
        <head>
        <meta charset="utf-8" />
            <title>Big Table</title>
        </head>
        <body>
        <?php
            require_once( "../classes/class.OLAPdatabase.php");
            require_once( "../common/Session.php");
            $OLAPdb = new OLAPdatabase;
              handling of the get part is commented out
           ?>
        </body>
    All I can think of is that when I access visEupload.php it's running from the get/action in table.php.  This might be a different user running in the system.  I tried changing visEupload.php file properties to have full control for IUSR and Internet
    Guest Account.  It already has full control for System, and me.  Users have read & exeture and read permissions. Or maybe it's something that has to do with how the directory is mapped out.  I'm not sure what could be affecting this, and
    why the message said it can't find the path to 403_error.html.

  • Deploying BOE XI 3.1 SP2 apps on SAP NW J2EE 7.0/7.11 - 404 Error

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing problems with opening InfoView + Cmc after deploying to SAP J2EE. What happens is that I can open up the URLs and the page is displayed with the logo, header etc., but instead of the login box I get a 404 error - "ressource can not be found"
    We have tried the following scenarios:
    - BOE XI 3.1 SP2 deployed on a separate application server (SAP J2EE 7.11) - This gives the above error
    - BOE XI 3.1 SP2 deployed on a separate application server (SAP J2EE 7.0) - This gives the above error
    - BOE XI 3.1 deployed on a separate application server (the same SAP J2EE 7.0 as above) - This does NOT give the error - everything works fine.
    So somehow it seems like the SP2 deployment files does not work properly (or I am doing something wrong).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jacob

    Hi Jacob,
    please take a look at the release notes of SP2 ([http://service.sap.com/releasenotes]). There is a case where the deployment of SAP.war ( and of crystalreports.war ) on SAP Netweaver 7.1 can fail. You have to edit the related web.xml file manually as described below:
    ADAPT01190939: SAP Integration: Deploying SAP
    web applications to Netweaver 7.1
    When a user tries to deploy SAP web applications to SAP Netweaver7.1,
    they may find that SAP.war does not deploy successfully using either wdeploy
    or the deploy script supplied by SAP Netweaver7.1.
    To resolve this issue, use the following steps:
    1. Go to <Business Objects install directory>\Business Objects
    Enterprise 12.0\java\applications.
    2. Backup your SAP.war file.
    3. Open SAP.war with Win RAR.
    4. Navigate to the WEB-INF folder within Win RAR.
    5. Copy the web.xml file to your desktop.
    6. Open web.xml in a text editor (Notepad for example).
    7. Search for u201C$u201D character and delete it.
    8. Save the file.
    9. Copy the web.xml you edited back into Win RARu2019s explorer. A dialog will
    open asking if you wish to replace the existing web.xml file.
    10. Click OK.
    11. Save the SAP.war file and close Win RAR.
    Users can now deploy the SAP.war file using wdeploy or the deploy script
    supplied by SAP Netweaver 7.1.

    Hi Brian;
    From the error we see " http://server:7001/coolapp/messagebroker/amf'". It seems you are trying to access the flex app over https but access the backend remote servce via http.
    If that is the case, I have an old blog post that may help in that situation. http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/archives/2008/04/how_to_access_f.html
    If  that is not what you are trying to do, or your issue is more compilcated, please open a support case if you have a support contract.

  • Handling 404 error through web.xml

    In my application i made the following entry in web.xml:
      <error-page>
        <error-code>404</error-code>
        <location>/error.jspx</location>
      </error-page>
    error.jspx is a jspx file and exist in the public_html folder and has following entry:
    <f:view>
        <af:document id="d1">
          <af:form id="f1">
          <af:outputText value="Hello There error occured" id="ot_11" />
          </af:form>
        </af:document>
      </f:view>
    when a 404 occurs in the application, i am getting following application in the log:
    <[ServletContext@3806419[app:j2ee-app module:retailer path:/retailer spec-version:2.5]] error-page location: "/error.jspx" for the error-code: "404" does not exist. Serving the default error page.>
    Any suggestion what to do next?

    on more thing,
    404 errors are handled by web.xml using following:
    <error-page>
       <error-code>404</error-code>
       <location>/login/404errorPage404.html</location>
    </error-page>
    but in case of 500 errors or nullpointers i treid a no of options, but neither one  worked:
    <error-page>
    <error-code>500</error-code>
       <location>/login/500errorPage500.html</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
       <exception-type>javax.el.ELException</exception-type>
       <location>/login/500errorPage500.html</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
       <exception-type>java.lang.Exception</exception-type>
       <location>/login/500errorPage500.html</location>
    </error-page>
    <error-page>
       <exception-type>java.lang.Throwable</exception-type>
       <location>/login/500errorPage500.html</location>
    </error-page>
    Any advise?

  • Getting 404 errors

    Hello:
    I have EM up an running. It looks fine. I can login and manage my database.
    The only problem is that faily often when I click on a button or link, I get a 404 error. If I hit back and try again, the operation goes thru just fine.
    It does not happen all the time, but it happens frequently enough to be annoying.
    I am using Oracle 10g on Suse Enterprise Server 9.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Neil.

    Hi reQuant,
    I just took a peek at your account. Your subscription order is still processing; it can take 24-48 hours for an order to process fully. Once it does, you should be able to log in and convert files without error.
    If you do access via a web browser, please make sure that you're using a supported web browser (System requirements | Acrobat.com).
    Best,
    Sara

  • Approval link throws 404 error

    Hi,
       I am running EP6 SP2 patch 5, CM patch 5. I have CM setup to show news items anonymously. When one clicks on the approval email that is sent with the link to the item it throws 404 error saying that the document is not available. The item is there but is not available for everyone. It doesn't give the login page as news items are setup to be displayed anonymously.
      Is there a way to prompt for login without losing the anonymous access by changing the url generation configuration in email to generate URL that asks for a login page or some other way
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Hi.
    How can i reproduce it?.
    Did you login/logout before/after access to your externalId navigation?.
    It could be a WebCenter View Handler bug. I asked to you if it is 11.1.1.4 because there is a bug with it in this version. I don't know if PS4 have similar issue.
    You have a sample code to extend WebCenter View Handler in Andrejus Blog (code of Oracle Support): http://andrejusb.blogspot.com.es/2011/04/practical-guide-for-oracle-webcenter.html

  • 404 Error when I try to edit page in ICE

    I use a browser, go to my page, press Cmd+E, up pops the
    login and password, done, then bang! the page doesn't display, just
    the host's generic 404 error.

    Hello Jim,
    I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with InContext
    Editing. Please take a look at the following forum posts which
    discuss the issue:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=82&catid=859&threadid =1414213
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=82&catid=859&threadid =1411528
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=82&catid=859&threadid =1424604
    The issue is that your web host either does not have the HTTP
    HEAD request enabled or functioning properly on the server, or you
    may have to disable custom 404 page redirection either in your web
    host administration panel or via .htaccess file.
    Please let me know if you need further assistance.
    Best regards,
    Corey

  • BOE CMC XI  - 404 error when clicking Authentication Link

    CMC installed and running on Win2k3; IIS.
    I'm having an issue with an Windows AD group that has rights to a report.  I went to go view the info or relink the group via the CMC- Manage SubArea - Authentication icon.  when clicking it I get an IIS 404 error (page cannot be found).
    I'm not sure what has happened to it as it at one time was working!  All the other areas of the Central Management Console in XIsp4 are working as designed?
    Did permissions get changed on an IIS directory or something?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    It sounds like files are missing from your deployment. Do you have another IIS deployment somewhere to test. You can set the system to the broken one and login, if it works then you will most likely have to remove and readd your .net deployment.
    You may also elect to open a message with support to have an engineer check out your settings, it's possible it's something less intrusive. 404 simply means the resource not found. I don't know any reasons why just the authentication is missing.
    Just a little more info, authentication does not have it's own virtual directory as far as I know, there is no CMC permission to prevent administrators into it. If you are an administrator and you see the authentication link you should have full access.

    Tim
