5600XT/No idea how to work VIVO

I've just assembeled this system with a FX5600XT-VTDR128. The book has nothing to say except that there is an attach for video in and video out. I've tried the forceware drivers, capture drivers, Media Center, etc. I'm back to the 5663 driver, the newest capture drivers and as for Media Center...it just quits. I've tried the Media Center Deluxe II that came packaged...just gives an error message and quits. Then I tried the patch to Media Center Deluxe III...same thing. I still have no clue if Media Center even controls the VIVO.

I have an iPad and I've been using it for imovie for a while now and now I have a laptop. I do not own my iPad because it is a school iPad and so I won't be able to use imovie anymore over summer. HELP!!! I need to configure a static IP and I have no idea how that works

So I can't download anything on bittorrent anymore (it just stalls), nor does my new wireless printer print if I am trying to print anything wirelessly (except for a diagnostic report so I know its not a hardware issue). I did some searching and found that I need a static IP to resolve the problem.
I tried following some advice in forums for manually changing the IP from System Preferences > Network, and after doing so my printer started working like a charm (I know this is the resolution!) however, I was not able to connect to the Internet anymore, forcing me to go back to the automatic IP
I'm running on Snow Leopard, a MacBook Pro, and and Airport Express.
PLEASE HELP!!!

The next step is to return to the same page in AirPort Utility as before.
Click the "+" button at the bottom of the DHCP Reservations box.
Type a description of the device, for example "HP Printer"
Click the Reserve by MAC address button
Click Continue
Enter the exact MAC address for the device
IPv4 Address...Choose an IP that is above the normal range of IPs assigned to your computers, etc. You could use 10.0.1.20 for example.
Click Done
Add other devices the same way. The next device would be assigned an IP address of 10.0.1.21 for example, etc.
When you have entered all the devices you need (you don't need to add your computers unless you specifically want to), click Update to save your settings for the Express.
Now power down your entire system. Then start the modem first for a few minutes, then the Express, your computers and devices. You should be good to go.
Post back on your progress and I will give you another tip.

It sounds like you and your mom are sharing an Apple ID. If you have your iPhone set to receive automatic downloads, then you will recieve a copy of anything she purchases.
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, look at the toggles under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS and turn off what you don't want to receive.

You have to create iphone ringtones.
There are many free ways to do this. Google will find them.

How much work is it to add a callout item to open document in a specified program

Hi, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I want to know how much work it is to get a Sharepoint developer to add a link to the callout above, e.g. at the top level near OPEN SHARE, or in the sub menu would also be fine. The link would open the selected document in our application which can open
TIFF / PDF and other image files. The link could say "Edit this document in MyApp", or "View this document in MyApp" as examples. We would need to provide this in a modular way, so that customers could optionally deploy it to their own
sharepoint site. A possibility, if the customization is not a big job would be to write a document with details on how to customize the Sharepoint site to achieve this. I'm not sure if Sharepoint has a more intuitive way of sharing this type of customization,
e.g. as an App package.
Any idea how much work is involved approximately in developer hours?
And is there any terminology I could have described better above?
My apologies, I don't have any experience with Sharepoint but we have a requirement to integrate our software with it.

I tried the method where you go into single user mode and type in commands, however that method uses some of the letters that are not working on my laptop.

You didn't mention which version of OS X your running but there are password reset utilities provided OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier) - Apple Support or OS X: Changing or resetting an account password - Apple Support
Alternately you can use an external keyboard to log in and change the password. Make a backup if you don't have one, it's likely that your problems aren't over. If that water continues to migrate downward and fries the logic board your macbook will be toast.

That's not an Apple ID. That is your admin account which you can view in System Preferencs > Accounts or Users & Groups.

Just use your current Apple ID when you setup your iCloud account that you use for your devices.

I had a shared mobileme account for my work calendar- 4 people sharing call using one set of calendars. It is on my mac but not on my iphone anymore...just 3 of my calendars went to icloud. Any idea how to get the calendars from a "family" mobileme?

If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier.

This is not a feature of iPhone, iPad or iOS.
Bluetooth is supported for stereo headsets/speakers, handsfree telephone
devices/headsets, some keyboards, some peer-to-peer apps from the
app store and internet tethering where provided by the carrier.
Other than this it will not connect to a phone/computer/device. (thanks to ckuan for the wording)

Ive got the same problem, just got my iphone unlocked, and they told me to sync it to itunes to get it permently unlocked, well everytime i plug my iphone in it says; it wont work as it needs up dating to 10.6.3, which i have already updated, but still doesnt work, so how can i get my phone unlocked?
