6085 msging and memory problem

when i goto to get into my txt msg and go in to inbox the screen turns white and goes back to my wallpaper
also i recently bought a stick of micro sd memory for it and it worked fine but all of a sudden its not detecting it i have tried the memory on my mates phone and worked fine

Sorry to hear your woes there msx58m, sometimes things just don't as planned nice and shiny out of the box.
Strange how you were having trouble with the RAM as I thought it would have defaulted to 1066MHz or 1333MHz out of the box and 1.5~1.6V should have sufficed. A rule of thumb, always set your RAM manually including the voltage. As for the original BIOS problem... you'll probably find that the BIOS didn't recognise the 975 processor until the distributor updated the BIOS to a later release - this isn't anything new. 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing but you could have saved some of that grief by reading up on the pinned topics on this site and other website resources regarding memory voltages and timings.
Yes, Vista & Win7 and more demanding than XP (I found Vista the most demanding of the three) and it's reflected in the overclocks I could achieve across the platforms.

  • JPA @Lob annotation and memory problem

    Hi.
Is there any way to overcome the memory problem with @Lob types?
FetchType.LAZY means lazy as it spelled. Am I right?
And it doesn't mean any stream handling of big sized lobs. For lobs are so big that my physical memory can't hold it.
    @Entity public class Parent implements Serializable {
@Lob private byte[] big; // what can I do if it is to big to hold in memory?
}Is there any standard way for this problem?
I found that openejb serves *@Persistent* annotation for InputStream/Reader for this purpose.
But I want to know if there is another way for more portability.
    You know what?
I heard from a JPA spec guy that this problem (maybe it's not a problem) won't even be considered in next version. (2.0?)
    How horrible...
Is it can be a good think that split the Lob column into a OneToMany children?
This is the best output, for now, from my head.
    @Entity public class Parent implements Serializable {
        @OneToMany private Collection<Child> children;
    @Entity public class Child implements Serializable {
@Lob private byte[] chopped; // small enough to fit into memory
    }

If the Lob is too big for your memory, then you are best off handling whatever processing you need to do on it through raw JDBC. If your only interested on the first n bytes, then you could probably map to something like this using a view the truncate the lob, and map your class to the view instead of the table.
You should also be able to define your variable as Blob or Clob and get the locator directly. But the locator is tied to the connection, so will not be usable after the connection is returned to the pool. I'm not sure how such a lob could be model if it can't be read into memory, perhaps as some special JPA Lob type that can return a stream on the data by re-querying the lob from the db.
What exactly to you want to do with the lob?

  • Mouse and memory problems (975X Pl pe)

    First Hello,
this is my first post here, hope you can help me
    PC configuration in my signature
    OK. Here goes
    1.   And most annoying problem – mouse problem (A4tech NB-90 mouse, connected to usb)
Mouse stops working, randomly (maybe once every month). It’s happening when booting windows. Mouse doesn’t work, actually all the led’s are blinking but it’s not recognized by windows. Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn’t work (nothing happens). Rebooting windows doesn’t help (still not working).
Solution to my problems is to shutdown the computer and disconnect  the power cable from my PC, then reconnect it again and start the PC all over again. NOW it’s working!! WT ?
I tested mouse (3 months) on the other pc and it works OK there, so he is not  the problem.
o yea, I formated hdd, and installed fresh windows and still no luck.
    2.   Memory problem on 800MHz – I think this is because of incompatibility with motherboard or too weak psu
By default (motherboard)memory works on 667MHz. (and with this setup everything is fine)
The problem starts when I put it on 800MHz in bios – than system becomes instable (random reboots)
    a.   Memory tested with memtest at 667MHz (both and than separate modules, 4 hours each test) -> NO ERRORS
    b.   Memory tested with memtest at 800MHz (both and than separate modules) -> Never saw so much errors in my life  :(
I doubt I’ll solve this problem (except buying new memory modules), but you guys know more than me so I’ll let you decide.
and yeah, sorry for my bad English!
    Thanks
    Bas
edit: memory problem solved. Patriot @ 800MHz needs 2.0V

  • KT4VL CPU and Memory problems

I have a KT4VL that I updated to BIOS version 1.60 with the liveupdate feature (I really like that by the way).  Anyway, I have two problems with the board.  I have a AMD 1700+ XP 1.47Ghz/266 CPU.  The manual and your website says I should change the CPU FSB Clock under Frequency/Voltage control to 133 for that CPU.  When I do, the system locks (corrupted a file and forced a reinstall of XP that was a pain). I've repeated that and when I change it back to 100Mhz, it doesn't lock. The web site says to change the CPU ratio to 11 with the 133 setting which I did but the system still locks/reboots suddenly.  I even tried changing the Spread Spectrum setting from the 25% default to none but it still crashes.
The second issue is that I have a PC3200 DDR 256MB DIMM (Samsung
K4H560838D-TCC4) that is specifically listed in the manual as a recommended DIMM.  However, if I put it as the only DIMM in the system, it doesn't POST or boot and gives 3 Long Beeps.  The D bracket indicates that it's a memory problem.  I exchanged the DIMM for the new one to make sure I just didn't get a bad one but it has the same behavior with the new one.  When I put it in with a PC2700 DIMM I have, it doesn't boot or beep.  It just sits there.
What BIOS settings do I need to put to support my CPU and memory correctly?

    Bas,
Ok, I'll try 1.7.  You think that will fix the memory problem?
The power supply is an AMD approved 350W power supply so I don't think that's it.  I'll double check the cooling setup (it's a volcano so it oughta be good) but cooling could definitely be it.
The only thing I need you to verify for me is the BIOS settings...Will the AUTO setting work for the PC3200?  Or do I need to specify it?  And for the CPU, the FSB should be 133 and the ratio 11?  Any other changes?  Should I mess with the spread spectrum settings?
I guess I'd like to verify what my bios settings should be to support my CPU and memory.
Lastly, will I be able to use both my pc3200 and my pc2700 DIMM at the same time?
Thanks so much for your time and help.

  • Performance and Memory Problems on OSX

Firefox seems to have some sort of memory leak. Even once I remove all the add-ons, and no matter which web pages, after about a day, Firefox is slow and I have to restart the browser. When using the diagnostics within Mac OSX, Firefox is consuming twice as much memory as Safari and is consistently the biggest CPU consumer. It would be nice if someone profiled the code and actually made sure it was optimized.

We are with the same problem. We read a lot about the vm in the RHAS 3.0. The vm was improved but, with bugs. We found a lot of inactive pages that, after the clean state, does'nt deallocate properly. This makes the thread kernel "kswapd" works a lot, taking all the cpu in the io process.
There is a known bug related to "kswapd" thread in the RHAS 3.0 kernel. The RedHat promess to solve the problem in the nexts releases (I really doubt it, because there was already 3 releases after its announces).
We have checked some strange behaviors too... The machines with Linux RH AS 3.0 + Oracle products (OracleDB and OracleIAS) are freezing randomically. We think that the shared memory are allocating kernel space pages, but we didn't found any evidences yet.
    The workarounds (not tested yet):
    - Upgrade to the latest kernel.
    or
    - Use the hugemem kernel (even when using less than 16GB of RAM, some guys reported that this solve the problem)
    or
    - Compiling a clean kernel directly from kernel.org. In this case, we don't have support from Oracle, but maybe the problem could be resolved until RH publish some bugless vm code with your kernel.

  • Performance and memory problems

    Hello.
I've installed Oracle AS 10g in Redhat Linux EL 3. The machine has 3 GB of memory, 2 GB of swap. Its a dual Xeon 2.6 Ghz.
Imagine i reboot the machine. Everything works fine. The problem is, in 6 days, it fills all the swap memory and almost the memory available. If it reaches this values, the machine gets so slow... To correct temporary the situation, i need to perform a reboot. But the question is this is Linux, not windows...
Does anyone has an ideia why this is happening?? i've never seen something like this... after 6 days, the only memory available of 5 GB are 30 MB... this is not possible.
    Help please !

  • Storage and memory problems on a new mac. PLEASE HELP

I had a macbook pro 5 years ago and backed everything up to my time machine. i just bought a new mac book pro yesterday. I only wanted to transfer my music and photo files over, and i somehow managed to do that but i think i made a mistake somewhere because now my storage memory is listed at over 400 gb used which i know is impossible. ive saved one document onmy new computer and the entire storage on the time machine is only 173 gb. I have over 300 gb listed as other on the new computer- at one point it was purple and categorized as backup but now it says other- can anyone help me?
my computer is running super slow now because of it and i just spent over 2000 dollars on this yesterday and I cant find anything in apple support to help me. i already tried looking through all the files and used the omni disk sweeper.
    PLEASE HELP ME!
    i have the mac os x 10.8.2

I tried running the uninstall blackberry software and it said it coudnt find anything to uninstall and self control doesnt have any uninstalll programs- do you know how else i can delete them or what else i should do? i ran the system again and have pasted the results below in case that would help- i dont really understand it - THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your time and help-i really appreciate it- i just want this fixed

  • A75MA-G55 and memory Problem

Hello i have problem with set memory to 1866. Can u help me with it?
    This is my configuration:
Samsung 500 GB SATA II 7200 RPM, 16 MB NCQ (HD502HJ)
    Good Ram GY1866D364L9/2G   x2
    Aerocool AEROPGSVP-450
    SilentiumPC Pure Black BT-310
    MSI A75MA-G55
    AMD A8-Series A8-3850 2.8GHz
When i set from auto to 1866 then i hear 3 signals from mobo and nothing...

1866 is a multiplication of something. Do not set it to 1866!!
I do not know your motherboard, but your processor would probably like something that add up to 1333 MHz.

  • Permissions and memory problems with Yosemite HELP!

I have had nothing but problems since I upgraded to Yosemite. My graphics programs crash and run impossibly slow. I have to restart constantly to clear maxed out memory. My internet speed drags to a crawl, and I constantly have to repair permissions to open files THAT I CREATED. I can't open file attachments from Outlook either (I will NOT use Apple Mail - my clients use Outlook, so I have to as well).
I am getting really angry. This is costing me time and money.
Please tell me there is a fix and how to do it.
    Thanks.

    Here's the report from EtreCheck:
    Problem description:
Permissions constantly block me from opening my own and other people’s files. Graphics programs are slow and crash. Memory maxes out, requiring frequent restarts.

  • CPU hog, faults, and memory problems in safari - solutions? or opera?

since recently (a week or two ago i think?) safari is showing the following behaviour:
i start the computer. start safari. reopen all windows from last session. use it normally for a while (activity monitor shows safari using 2 to 5% cpu with spikes to 15 or 20%). after some time (an hour, several hours, a day) the computer gets hot: activity monitor shows safari using between 40 and 115% cpu, never less. inspecting the process reveals that safari is producing massive amounts of faults (as of now 32 million and rising at over 10'000 per second. it also shows the shared memory size or the virtual private memory (one of the two, it varies) peaking at 16 TB (yes, Terabytes; 16.777 to be more precise) for a second (the time between two refreshes of the inspector window). this last behaviour is intermittent but happens during this sort of event.
if i quit and restart safari the problem immediately recurs, in contrast if i restart the computer i can use safari normally for a few hours before it recurs.
i have seen posts here blaming this sort of behaviour on flash, but this doesn't seem to be an adequate explanation to me as i'm able to use safari for some time before the issue occurs, and definitely visit pages with flash during that time.
another post recommended to empty cache, which didn't solve the issue.
is there a solution for this? if there's no solution i'd be willing to switch browser, but safari is very much the one i prefer. i'd even go as far as to re-install my whole system if necessary, but would prefer a less radical solution which allows me to continue using safari.

Hey, man, it's not just you, and it's not just your version. I have a similar configuration (albeit 2 GB RAM) and I have upgraded to the latest version of Safari.
By doing a little troubleshooting I've determined that Flash actually is the problem. It seems to get the most CPU when watching FLV videos, such as those on youtube. My theory is that the algorithm that runs the decoding on the videos is very, very complex, as it allows high-quality video over a standard broadband (ours is 3 Gbps) connection.
As such, this has the implication of being processor intensive as well as HDD intensive caching. My MBP reached 80 Celsius at one point, forcing me to quit most programs. After quitting my MBP cooled down to its usual 55 Celsius (still a bit warm I know, but it probably has more to do with the fact that it's on my lap now).
I do not believe that Safari is at fault, nor do I believe that your Mac is at fault. Mine does not get hot even during extensive Photoshoping or Dreamweaving or even XCoding but YouTubing gets it very hot. Thus, if you've anyone to blame it's Adobe. (sorta... just for Flash)
In terms of solutions however I am afraid I must leave you somewhat in the dark unless you want to quit watching Flash vid's. If you should write to anyone, write to Adobe because chances are good that some other users may be experiencing the same problems.
    Hope that this was helpful.
P.S. Sucpicious confirmed. Firefox watching Flash vids also causes a lot of CPU percentage to be used and the cpu temperature to raise a good number of degrees. So... you're pretty much out of luck no matter what browser you use until Adobe fixes FLV problems. Sorry

  • Iweb and memory problem?

    Hey all,
I've been using iWeb as a blog and now have close to 200 posts. A few have photos and most posts are extremely short. Now when I use iWeb, it's a royal pain. I can't use any other applications when it's publishing. When I initially open the application, It can take several minutes to even get a new posting page up. This didn't happen for the first several months when I had the computer. Also, Safari seizes up often now as well, especially if iWeb is running in the background.
I haven't added any extra onerous applications, like games, and I don't run memory intensive apps like photoshop when iWeb is open. This is driving me crazy. Any solutions? Or do I just have to buy RAM (which I don't understand because the app worked fine several months ago.)
I had an iBook for well over a year(this is a MacBook), and didn't have problems like this. Admittedly didn't have iWeb either. I thought this was a meaner, leaner, faster machine, what gives?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brilliat-Savarin
    macbook

    Brilliat-Savarin:
Without iWeb running are you experiencing any slowdown in the overall performance of your MacBook? How much free space do you have? How much RAM do you have?
You could try clearing out the iWeb cache folder located in your User/Library/Caches folder.
    Do you Twango?

  • Question regarding all the x58 Pro-e and memory problems

I've notice a serious amount of issues when it comes to people not seeing all of their RAM or not getting triple-channel status.
Before I even post my issue, I was wondering if there is a general fix for everyone experiencing these problems, because it seems I'm have the exact same issue as everyone else.

Oh well. Its basically like I said - its the same problem most other people are having. I have 6 GB of DDR3 RAM but only 4 GB ever shows up. And it shows in Dual channel mode, when everything should be triple channel 3 x 2GB. First, here are the specs for my system, which was just recently purchased.
Model of the motherboard: MSI X58 Pro-E LGA
    Model of the memory: G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit
Model of the CPU: Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz LGA 1366 130W
Model of the GPU:  SAPPHIRE TOXIC 100282TXSR Radeon HD 5850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
Model of the HDD:  Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
    Model of the PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V
Type of Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
I have tried everything. I've updated the BIOS, I've tested each stick, I've even RMA'd the board itself, but to no avail. I have 3 sticks of RAM in each of the DIMM_A slots. Each stick is 2 GB each, but the POST never counts more than 4 GBs. I've tried adding in the sticks each one at a time in different slots; in different combinations, but nothing is working. I know the sticks work and I know the board is reading them because they show up in Memory-Z in the BIOS and in fact, in a 3rd party program called Speccy, it shows 6GB! But it still says they're running Dual channel mode.
Here is the current BIOS I am running as shown in the POST output and model of the memory as shown on the sticker AND the model of the motherboard itself:
    BIOS: A7522IMS V8.10 030910
    RAM MODEL NUMBER: F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ | DDR3-1333 CL 9-9-9-24 1.5v | PC3-10666 2GBX3 | 10060840076833
    MOBO MODEL NUMBER: MS-7522 | VER: 3.1
Those are exactly what are printed on the label/sticker letter-for-letter.
    Quote from: HU16E on 04-April-10, 09:18:47
Buy the correct RAM, don't bend any CPU socket pins, install the sticks in the correct slots, don't buy into the RAM makers claims of 'rated' performance.
You're either implying that I've incompetently bent a socket pin when I installed the CPU, placed the RAM in DIMM slots they don't belong or need to trash the $200 RAM I've just purchased.
Ok, assuming that ISN'T the case, what exactly are you suggesting thats supposed to be of help? You say "Buy the correct RAM" but you don't tell me what the 'correct' RAM is.

  • Mountain Lion and memory problems

I have a Macbook Air (1.8 GHz i7, 4 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD) and just installed Mountain Lion. Previous OS was Lion, final version. And suddenly my computer is bogging down and I get messages that say "Your Mac OS X startup disk has no more space available for application memory." I get these messages and my computer hangs--this has happened several times today and I've had to force restart.
It is not because I have too little hard disk space available, because 165 GB of my 250 GB hard drive is free. And it is not because I am running too many apps--I even got this message once with the only open app being Activity Monitor.
    Here's what I've tried:
    1. Disabling Java and Javascript
    2. Repairing disk permissions
    3. Verifying the disk (using Disk Utility)
    4. Restarting
    5. Running Omni Disk Sweeper (which confirms that most of my hard disk is free)
I have not turned off Spotlight or Backblaze.
The processes that keep spiking between 400 MB and 1 GB of memory (per Activity Monitor) are kernel_task, mds, and bztransmit (the last might be from Backblaze, but I've even had these messages when this process was using almost no memory).
Right now I've been able to use Safari long enough to file this question to Apple Support Communities, but I have only 8.7 MB of free RAM (per Activity Monitor), which makes no sense given the 4 GB RAM in my Mac and the fact that I'm running only Activity Monitor and only one window in Safari.
    Suggestions appreciated!

My problem is slightly different than you guys' - in my case, if I leave my MacBook Pro (summer 2012, 8GB RAM, 750GB hd, with 412GB available) up and running for more than 2-3 few days it gradually crawls to a halt, with many GB of page outs, no free memory, and bztransmit using massive amounts of virtual memory. It doesn't seem to matter how much content is being backed up either - at the time I took this screenshot, Backblaze was fully backed up, and had been for a few days. I never get the "out of memory" error that you guys are seeing, though - the machine just becomes highly unresponsive (talking like 30+ seconds to open a tab in Safari, or switch between apps - that sort of thing).
I am using Exchange calendars too, to so I'm wondering if my issue could be related to that after all.

  • Business Edition and memory problems on Windows 7

Does anyone have problems when loading the directories to memory for faster processing?  I have a Windows 7 64-bit machine with 8gig of ram.  Even after a restart I have problems with this.  I get an error code of "7050, DPV ERROR, Insufficient memory to cache DPV directories."

    Jeff,
We have been able to recreate the issue but the funny thing is, not on every Windows 7 machine.  We also found that if you run the program as admin, even if you are already the admin on the machine that resolves the caching issue.  To do this you can right click on the icon for the software, left click on properties, click on the compatibility tab, then check always run as administrator.  Click ok, then open the program.
We also found that you can run in XP compatibility mode and that also corrects the caching issue however I would recommend running as admin because that can also resolve issues with the Auto Update feature.
Just from poking around on the internet about the running as admin feature, it appears this is pretty common with Windows 7 and 32 bit programs.  Our development team is still researching to see if it is a Windows 7 issue or program issue, and why we can recreate it on some machines but not all, and why the difference just between April and May dirs.
I'll update the thread if I find out anything more but right now I would try the always run as admin with the May dirs or June dirs once they are released.
    Thanks,
    Kendra
