7 Weeks waiting and still no Broadband installed !...

Why do BT keep telling me the 'problem' is sorted so i can once again waste my time sitting in for a BT engineer onlt to be told not coming as the problem in the cabinet is not fixed! 3 scheduled engineer visits now and no further progress.

the forum mods can look into this for you and at least get an update if not actually help get it moving   they will post a contact us link when reading this 
After completing the email NOT PM then you join a queue of other customers waiting for mod help. The mods will get back to you in 3/5 working days either by phone or email

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
    If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

    Hi guys... The notifications i'm speaking about are everything that happens on our facebook. The only exception where i get notifications is if someone actually use my name on a post, then i have a notification. Now, if it is a post on my wall, a comment on one of my photos or even a like, there is no sound or vibration at all.
    Also, when i say "We" is bacause  there are a few users complaining about the same. There are some other forums, specially on facebook about this. What happens is that facebook blocks some of those groups.
    One more thing is i did try all possible things to make sure i was doing the right things in order to have notifications. Slider is obviously not in mute position, notifications sounds are on on facebook settings on main settings and also inside the app they are on. Did try to switch everything off and reboot then change again. Did restore the iPhone as new a couple of times. And like i said, if someone actually write my name i will have sound notification...

  • Over a week and still no broadband?????

    I wonder if anybody has had a similar experience?
    I signed up for the BT boradband and call package (10GB) on August 23rd. I was told that my activation date would be September 13th. I was a bit miffed that I'd have to wait three weeks to be able to call out from my new home, but I was patient. When the 13th rolled around, my phone was switched on, but not the broadband (I had received the hub earlier that day). I tried everything and still nothing. Called BT and was told it could take up to midnight. 
    14th came. No broadband. I was told 'it should be on tomorrow'.
    15th.
    16th.
    17th. I was told 'by Saturday, for sure'.
    18th. 'By Monday, or anytime before then. We'll call you'.
    19th.
    20th. 'Tuesday by close of business hours'.
    21st...guess what? Still no broadband.
    To be honest, I'm pretty shocked. It's been over a week. The worst part is, the only contact I've had has been by my instigation....Only one person called me back to say it'd be on today. And since I've had to haul my laptop to my parents house just to type this, you can guess I'm still not connected. The funniest part of all this, is when I load up my Mac, I can see that my neighbours have also got BT broadband, so we obviously share an exchange. But they're online and I'm not. I've been told repeatedly that it's some issue with the exchange.
    I don't really know what to do now. I'm pretty close to calling the whole thing off, but if I call again and another person tells me 'tomorrow' or 'by midnight', I think I'd go ballistic.
    As far as I know, all the equipment is working fine, I have a dial tone, I can make calls...just the silly hub blinking that annoying broadband light (orange) at me. For those who have experienced this, did it ever get resolved? How long did it take? What happened in the end?

  • Mountain Lion refuses to install on Hard disk because it is used for Time Backups. I have mounted a different disk for tame backups and still, I cannot install the OSX. What do I do?

    I donwloaded the Mountain Lion OSX and it would not install because it said that the hard disk is used for Time Backups. I then mounted a separate Hard Disk and started running the time backups on it.
    Still, the Mountain Lion would not install on the main hard disk.
    How do I convince it that the haerd disk is no longer used for time backups?

  • Been a week already and still, iMessage and FaceTime are NOT working!

    Gosh! it's been a week and still no access!
    Called apple and they want me to pay $19 before they let me know what it is and how to fix it! can you imagine?
    ...and with the message that keep on saying that "the server encoutered an error processing registration. please try again later" the chances that is a problem at Apple are high.
    AND I SHOULD PAY $19?!?!
    I've been with Apple since I was 15 (now 37, 38 in few months) and being a customer since I was 19.
    The service and assistance use to be fab. and the more the time pass by the more it gets .rappy!
    Thank God the product are still above the competition. But the days where the competitors will be as good as, are not too far from now.
    Apple, you better do something or with the loss of Mr Jobs and the competitors getting better and better day by day, you will face sooner than later a big chunk of customers.
    And the stock market recently shows how much your losses are!
    Anyone can provide any help/suggestion in this regard?

  • Argh... CS5 and still need to install CF9 extensions manually!?

    I just installed my copy of Creative Suite 5.  I use Dreamweaver primarily, but do a lot of work coding ColdFusion 9 applications.
    Seriously?  No CF9 tag support in CS5?  I STILL have to download an extension that doesn't even work 100% and still creates code errors to be able to code CF9 using Dreamweaver?  What a pain in the ***.
    Come on Adobe... you can't even integrate your own products into each other properly?
    Test example:
    Install CS5
    Open Dreamweaver
    Type <cfcontinue> (a new to CF9 tag).
    Result: Dreamweaver won't recognize it as a valid tag.
    Workaround attempt:
    Download and install the CF9 extenstions for Dreamweaver (which were not developed by Adobe, if I recall correctly.)
    Open Dreamweaver
    Type <cfcontinue>
    Result: Even with the extensions installed, CF9 tags are not always supported.

    I disagree with the "flexibility" response for the need of a plug in.  If only being able to install extensions for the things you need were the case, then there would be NO built in languages installed.  There are HUNDREDS of features built into Dreamweaver that I do not need, and will never use.  They exist because somebody, somewhere needs it.  It seems foolish that the functionality they elect not to include is the functionality that is required by another one of Adobe's products.
    But I can live with that... as long as the extension is of decent quality and works exactly as I need it to.  The current plug in for Dreamweaver for CF9 is poor quality.
    Example 1:  It doesn't recognize the cfcontinue tag.  (What good is a version plug in if it doesn't support all of the tags in the version?)
    Example 2: Open a new file.  Type <cfgrid>.  Right click and select "edit tag", give the grid a name and click "Ok".  You get a CF error saying that the tag does not support the attribute "COLAPSIBLE".  The plug in writes code that doesn't work!
    I can keep going... I can think of at least four more instances where the plug in writes incorrect code, extraneous attributes, or won't recognize valid tags.
    (By the way, some of the errors in the plug in were reported when the CF8 plug in was introduced, and the exact same errors carried over to the CF9 plug in.)
    So even if I were to buy that the plug in gives me more flexibility to have only what I want installed with the program, it doesn't change the fact that the plug in itself sucks.

  • I tried everything and still can't install-is there an executable?

    I read all the posts in the shockwave forum and tried every
    suggestion and it won't install. First, it was an endless loop of
    always asking me to accept the active X control, click on the gold
    bar, etc, back and forth. I tried accepting all cookies, turning
    off my firewall, changing my security settings to downright
    dangerous, and now there is nothing on the download page but that
    blank box and I get one prompt to run an active x control and then
    nothing. My time settings are correct, I uninstalled the old
    version and now I have no shockwave at all, I have tried
    everything! The only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling Flash
    because I'm afraid if I do that I won't be able to reinstall that
    either. When I go to the support page there is a link to download
    an executable file but that just takes you back to the original
    installation page and the same problems.
    Please help me if you can! I'm getting gray hairs over this.
    I know I always have problems installing shockwave when the new
    version comes out but I can never remember how to do it. Why don't
    you just put a link to a file you can download to your desktop and
    install? Shockwave support team, are you there? I can't even figure
    out how to contact Adobe support to get help other than this
    forum.

  • I did the trade in for the 6...I mailed my 4s in over 3 weeks ago and still no trade in credit...and I can't seem to get anyone at Verizon to give me an update, even telling me that they received my trade in...has anyone received their trade in credit?

  • No broadband and phone for 3 weeks now and still n...

    On the 17th july my phone line was apparently siezed when upstairs neighbours ordered a phone line with another company. Since then I've been pulling my hair out trying to sort it on my mobile phone going from department to department and being hung up on frequently and promised call backs never happening which has cost me £38 phoning BT and another £20 to get mobile broadband for 1 week!
    I've also tried the BT help section on the website and sent 2 messages and haven't had a reply yet, first one i sent was on saturday so can someone please help me get this sorted, I can't afford to use my mobile anymore, one call cost me £15!
    Please help!

  • Activation date 2 days ago and still no broadband

    Hi Everyone
    I ordered broadband on an existing bt phone line on 17th June and was given an activation date for 3 weeks later.  My activation date was Monday and 2 days later I am still without a connection.  The website tracker syas that "Your Broadband order is in hand with a member of our team, if there are any issues we will contact you. Please continue to check online for further updates"  The Indian call centre promised me a call back as they needed to contact 'their supplier'.  24 hours on from that phone call and this hasnt happened.  Would a mod be able to give me their contact details so they can look into this to find out what the delay is and how long the process might take.  Working from home means I need a continuity of internet provision moving from one supplier to the next.

    Just finished a live chat session as the promised returned phonecall never materialized.  The operator said that "The reason for the delay is regarding the ground work for the cables to be connected from the exchange".  How can this be the case when it's BT broadband coming through an already installed BT phone line that has been carrying broadband from another provider.  It's not BT infinity as that hasnt rolled out to this part of Bristol yet.  In the live chat he said that I should have broadband by 13th July, which is a whole working week after the promised start date.

  • Purchased Mountain Lion about a week ago and still cannot redeem it from Apple Store. Getting a "please try again later" error?

    I have Lion. I have software that is not yet ready for Yosemite and I need to download video editing software that will only run on Mountain Lion and above. With this in mind, I purchased Mountain Lion online LAST WEEK. I received the secure email/pdf and tried to redeem it from Apple Store. I keep getting this message: "This item is being modified. Please try again later". That was about 6 DAYS AGO. I gave it some time and tried today and I am still getting this message.
    What is going on? Called customer service and got disconnected twice (I don't think intentionally though). The third person had more info on this and it seems that Apple is just finding out about this and it may be related to the Watch rollout. Why don't Apple people say something? I check online and my order says "complete" but I have not received what I paid for and there's an error occurring. Now I am just here waiting to see if and when I can get this software.
    Can someone provide more info on this? Is there another way to get Mountain Lion? Is it available on disc?
    Without the OS upgrade I cannot use the video editing software.

  • Activation date passed and still no broadband

    Hi Everyone,
    I recently switched from Orange to BT as I was having an issue with my broadband that Orange were far from helpful about. 
    My equipment (HH4) and activation email arrived on 16th September to say everything was ready to go.
    I followed the steps that came with the equipment, but the Hub light never returned to blue. It is stuck on orange and the broadband light is flashing red. I've been in contact with the BT support team for the last 3 days, but have just grown more frustrated. They advised me to wait until today to see if it would connect, so I did, but still no connection. They said they would book an engineer but when I rang back they wanted to do some extra tests, which are scheduled for this Friday.
    If any moderators could help, anything would be appreciated. It's now been a month with no Broadband, and the support team are slowly driving me insane.

  • 2 months and still no broadband

    So on March 31st I rang to do a homemove, as I had infinity and my new home doesn't (even though it's nearer to the exchange and there's a fibre cab a 100 yards down the road but ours isn't in the rollout plan for some daft reason)
    They said they had to cancel the broadband and order the phone, on Monday June 2nd I finally got my home phone connected, all though out the process I was told the ADSL would be connected the day after. On Monday I was told I couldn't have the broadband until Wednesday, on Wednesday I was told Thursday and on Thursday I was told Friday.
    After 6 or 7 calls on Friday I was promised it would be on by midnight, at 33 minutes past midnight it's still not on.
    This is meant to be with your complaints team who are useless!!!
    No one is accountable and no one has a desire to take ownership.
    Please can someone help me
