8.1.7: any chance for non-interactive install of developer6i ?

I have to do several identical installations of 8.1.7, including
developer6i (needing Forms support). Installation of 8.1.7 Server
from customized response files seems to work, except that you
have to swap CDs somewhere in between.
However, developer6i apparently only offers interactive
installation (either character or Motif based) - did I miss some
way for batch installation in the docs, or is there no chance ?

So sorry to hear she has lost all her contacts like that. Sounds like you are saying the device completed a factory reset on it's own. Is that right? I'm afraid unless the contacts and media were backed up somewhere prior to this happening they would be gone. Let's prevent that from occurring in the future and protect your contacts and media! Sorry but DW is not a drag & drop application like Photoshop.   Owing to all the different browsers and web devices these days, there is no such thing as perfect WYSIWYG in Design View.   Use Split View with Live View. That way you can see a valid representation of your page in one panel while you edit code in the other.
Being able to work with code is essential. There's no way around it, especially for a project this advanced.
I am also ''fighting'' to connect dreamweaver database to WAMP in order to make the login form work .

By any chance, do you have Skype installed on your computer?
Skype reserves port 80 for its incoming connection which conflicts with WAMP, so simply configure Skype to use another port:
Open Skype, go to Tools|Options|Advanced|Connection uncheck the option --> Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections, that's it.
Close Skype. Restart Skype and Restart all services on WAMP by doing the following:
Left-click WAMP tray icon > Restart All Services"
Now Wamp and Skype can co-exist without conflict.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when trying to open CS2.

How to execute orainstRoot.sh during non-interactive install

I'm creating a non-interactive install for 8.1.7 using the
-silent and -responseFile switches. However, the install
continues to hang when it gets to the point where orainstRoot.sh
needs to be run as root. The oracle response file titled
svrcustom.rsp only takes into account the need to run root.sh.
There is no provision for orainstRoot.sh. Has anyone else encountered this and, if
so, how did you get around this?

Hi:
Oracle patching utility (adpatch) is optimized not to execute/copy the file unless the version in the $Header is higher in the patch as compared to the instance. Please bump up the $Header version within the script and update the package to pull in the changed file. When you deploy the package again, the file should get invoked.

Keynote '09 is compatible with your computer, but you won't get the latest Keynote version running that version. As you have an Early 2008 MacBook, first I recommend you to update to Mac OS X Snow Leopard to get newer versions of all applications but without losing any applications > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard Make a backup before upgrading.
The DVD contains Mac OS X 10.6.3, so after upgrading, open  > Software Update to update to 10.6.8. Then, you will get access to the App Store.
However, the Keynote version available in the App Store is only compatible with OS X 10.7.5 or newer, so now you have two options:
1. Upgrade to OS X Lion and purchase Keynote from the App Store.
2. Keep Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard, and buy Keynote on a DVD in eBay or Amazon. Note that you won't be running the most recent Keynote version, but it doesn't mind (the latest version only adds iCloud support)

Changing layout for non interactive form - lisence

Here is the scenario. In ESS, display travel form would show up a standard adobe form. If we changed the format hiding or adding new field would be there any additional license for that (note that this form is not interactive)? From what i understand additional license only apply to interactive form. Please advice.

You say "non-interactive", what means "print form". Adobe forms as "print forms" replace Smartforms and are ready to be used free of charge. You should need no additional license for your "new" form.

To get over this barrier, you could export your PS Touch project as a PSD or PSDX and work with it in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. (The latter requires Photoshop; you can't open PSDXs in Elements.) Not exactly an ideal solution but it's something.

Nevermind!!! We figured out how to fix it! Home button + OFF button for 30 seconds - restarted and we are down to 8 lives!!! YAY!
