8600 does not like enterprise wifi

Hello HP,
We Just deployed some Cisco Meraki Wifi access points and when we had only 1 SSID in range the Printers (we have many) worked perfectily but as more accesspoints came on line the printers disconnected from the wifi with the following error: No Filtering.  Mac address filtering is not used on our network.   According to the firmware update tool the printers are up to date.
Question 2:  One printer which is having issues is using firmware CKP1CN1322CR but the updater says it Up-To-Date dispite is having a different firmware then the other and not matching the updaters firmware of CLP1CN1322CR.
Any ideas why this would happen?
Thank you
Alan

I've been having the same problem all year, have googled this problem a hundred times, and have seen this same log message...but for some reason, seeing your post made it click for me: our Meraki network was quarnatining unrecognized or "rogue" wireless networks on our network....and it was considering, at random intervals, the "setup" wireless network on our printers as a "rogue" network and quarantining them - IP address filtering! The minute I whitelisted our printers in the "Air Marshal" settings in Meraki,  they were magically connecting again!

  • My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast.

My iMac does not find my wifi printer or my Chromecast. I was able to ping the chrome cast and printer and I'm able to connect to these devices with my windows computer, iPhone and iPad. I have OS X 10.9.2. I'm able to print by setting up the printer using the IP address that was assigned by my router instead of letting my iMac do the finding. It seems that the iMac either does not like the info that is receiving or something is blocking the signal (other than the firewall, which is off). Could someone have an idea what the issue might be?

    Hi MikeMart0923,
If you are having issues adding or connecting to your WiFi printer from your iMac, you may find the following articles helpful (apologies if you have already seen them):

Note: This is assuming you have a simple network configuration, with only a single router/WiFi access point.

  • IMac does not connect to wifi on boot

I own an iMac and run it with OS X 10.7.5.  Ever since system update 10.7.3 (February 2012) my mac more often than not does not connect to wifi on boot.  I have to select diagnostics and connect manually.  I did a design of experiment and have now discovered that I do not have this problem if I wait about a minute to log in after the login prompt displays.  I like my mac for it's fast startup.  It is a shame to have to wait unecessarily for it to connect to wifi before logging in.  I kenw this was a problem with the system update and this confirms it.  Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening so I don't have to wait?

It has been a month now and waiting a minute always works for connecting to my airport extreme on boot.  I was cleaning behind my desk and realized that the ethernet cable was still attached to the back of the iMac even though I had moved the airport upstairs.  I disconnected it.  I also opened network preferences.  The wifi was moved a long time ago to the top for priority, but the inactive ethernet and firewire were still listed.  I removed both the ethernet and firewire so the only connection listed is wifi.  My computer has now found the internet on 4 consecutive boots without waiting.  It appears that having the other two options disrupts the connection process on boot.  I will continue checking over the next week and let you know how it goes.  Wish me luck!

  • [SOLVED] NetworkManager does not connect to WiFi networks

I'm using `networkmanager` to connect WiFi.
I have selected WiFi Name through `networkmanager`.
    Next, enter WiFi Password.
But the problem is, `networkmanager` asks me about password again and again and over again and does not connect to WiFi never !!!!
I'm sure WiFi password that I entered is correct.

  • JBuilder does not like Canvas3D

The JBuilder Enterprise GUI Swing design does not like JBuilder it seems.
If I take my Canvas3D out everything works fine, I can edit the GUI and such...
If I use Canvas3D inside my main Frame the Designer closes JBuilder. No message or anything, just totally exits out.
    Anyone suggestions?

Canvas3D is not swing component. So do not use it in Swing GUI Designer.

Sounds like the table is to large to fit on a single page. Have you tried using the "Shrink to Page" option in the Print Preview? Depending on your version of Word, my attached picture may not be 100% similar but it should be enough to give you an idea. Here is the option inside the print preview menu:

  • Ipad mini does not connect SOME wifi

My iPad mini does not connect some wifi. I tried all instructions like resetting settings, on-off router, manuel configuration but it is still same. I am using same router at my home and with same confiqs, it is connecting there, other iPads, iPhones are also connecting to wifi here, It also connects some other wifi's.
I've read that there is no solution, I have to change it.
Do you have any other idea? Because here-Turkey- it is not easy to do it like USA.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • My iphone 4 does not have a wifi button?

As I mentioned, I got an Iphone 4 as a gift and it does not have a wifi button to turn on wifi nor can I connect to Itunes.

    GregTB,
The Chinese are making iPhone 4 Copies and selling them in the black market ( you can find it over the net also), they are almost perfect but they do not run using Apple iOS, that may be the reason of the differences on the option settings, some of those copies in south america even have digital tv some of them run with 2 Sim cards and can be purchased for about US$ 150,00.
    THAT MAY BE THE CASE.
They are like the chinese black market Car GPSs that have up to 10 different GPSs softwares and you can chose a different one every time you need.

Just by the price that those phones are being sold people could doubt the origin and avoid the trouble.

  • Windows 7 does not like my Audigy Card at all

    Hey guys,
Got too excited and went out and bought Windows 7 Ultimate x64 - fantastic. Problem is, I have no sound - my Asus Rampage Formula motherboard has no onboard sound as it comes with a seperate sound card which won't work and neither will the cheapy Audigy standard one I bought today to try...
7 automatically installs some drivers when it detects I have a sound card installed and sticks it in the Device Manager under 'System Devices' and calls it a 'High Definition Audio Controller'
Now I found the new Win 7 drivers on here and downloaded in the hope of installing and overwriting this 'Hi Def Audio Controller' but when i'm in setup I get the error message "Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this Setup Program. Setup will exit" which is completely baffling me as Win7 can detect and install this 'audio controller' - when I hover over the volume icon in the taskbar (which incidentally has a red cross over it) it says 'No audio output is installed"
I'm probably going wrong somewhere, but I don't know if its Win7 or these "Windows 7" drivers don't actually work?
    Please can anyone help?!!

Re: Windows 7 does not like my Audigy Card at all^ Perhaps you can try this:
    <a rel="nofollow" href="http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=0960"]http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=0960[/url]
Yes I know that that is a standard driver from Creative. But try to download the driver. Then right click it, and extract it. You can extract it like this if you have WINRAR, WINACE, or WINZIP on your system. Even the free 7-zip will work great.
Then go to device manager, and then to your unknown device, and then update driver, and then choose "have disk....." and browse to the folder where you unzipped the driver. Then install the driver, allowing it to copy the files over to your system. Reboot. Sound may still not be working at this point. Then try windows update or the Daniel K. pack again. Using this method may seem weird but I am trying to "trick" your system into picking up your Audigy.
This worked for me before with my x-fi Titanim and my Extreme gamer when I switched to Vista 64.

  • Bitcoin-QT does not like UTC

Hey Archers! This is my first post on here, but I've been using Arch on and off since 2011... just goes to show how good the wiki is lol
Anyway, I'm dual booting Windows 8 (work reasons, unfortunatley) and Arch, so as the wiki suggested, I set both operating systems to use UTC. I originally thought it worked like a charm, but after firing up my Bitcoin wallet (in Arch) I soon discovered it isn't syncing with the network in UTC. If I switch back to America/New_York, everything still works great again. How would I make the bitcoin-qt client work with UTC?
Here is what I did to set UTC:
    ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC /etc/localtime
And then I tried reindexing the blocks like so:
    bitcoin-qt -reindex
But I haven't had any luck

That's odd, we must be reading different wiki pages then, on both the Installation Guide and Time wiki pages, it says the timezone can be set by making a symlink at /etc/localtime that points to the desired zone. Regardless, I checked the hardware clock, and it seems to be set correctly...
    timedatectl status | grep local
    outputs
    RTC in local TZ: no
    And this
    hwclock
    outputs
    Fri 11 Oct 2013 04:41:05 AM UTC -0.797325 seconds
So it is definately set in UTC at the correct time. I'm thinking Bitcoin-QT does not like UTC for some reason. The time itself seems to be fine because Windows and Arch both have the same time after either windows or Arch syncs time over the internet.
Thanks for the help cfr, much appreciated.

My htc-phone provides internet facility through cable/blue-tooth to my windows notebook. My htc-phone does not have a wifi or hotspot facility.  Can the same internet through blue-tooth work for ipad2?

No, the bluetooth profile in the iPad does not provide that
capacity. Can your netbook be a wifi transmitter? If yes,
you can connect to the internet via htc-phone and pass
the connection to the netbook which will connect via wifi
to iPad. I am not familiar with the hardware in netbooks nor
the capabilities of Windows, so what I am suggesting looks
good in theory but the reality may not allow it. Still worth
    checking into.

I remember that with Snow Leopard you could download them from the Apple website.
    Cheers!

Read the Boot Camp Documentation while you run Boot Camp Assistant to download the Windows Support Software which was the first step in the Boot Camp Setup procedure.

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem with the wireless card or with something else.

  • PCI-GPIB does not like returning from computer power-save mode. I need to restart the application. Uggh! Customer not happy.

It seems volatile memory is lost on the PCI GPIB Card. When the system returns from power-save, I cannot get to my GPIB instruments. I have to close the application and restart it. I've tried unregistering and reregistering the gpib globals and resetting the device interfaces (reissuing the ibdev command) without luck. I am using Visual Basic 6, but I also get the Measurement and Automation Explorer to fail in the same way, so I don't think it is my development environment.

Can you change your power save settings? What operating system
    are you running?
Also, some BIOS's have options for power save. For example, recent
IBM's can be set to maintain power to all peripherals, or only to main
memory. Of course, you would want it to maintain power.
I suspect the GPIB board and its driver are completely unable to
handle power save operation. It probably was never considered while
    it was being designed.
