9ASVTTY (Safety Days Supply) UoM in table '/sapapo/tspaplob'

Hello All,
We faced an issue whereby the safety days supply was being displayed in Base UoM of the product like 'EA'. After further exploring this issue and comparing with standard SAP Planning Areas we found that a value of '10' has to be maintained against 9ASVTTY for field UOM_PLAN in table /sapapo/tspaplob.
After making this change the safety days supply is being displayed in DAYS again. Although the issue is resolved I still want to know what is the significance of maintaining this value '10' in the table. Also can we maintain a unit like 'D' or 'H'. After maintaining this value in the table I dont see any corresponding change in the Planning Area for 9ASVTTY, field 'UoM'.

There is this function module called by the Planning Administration view, called CONVERSION_EXIT_CUNIT_INPUT.  Below is a code extract pointing to where exactly does the system equate D to "10"

From this code extract, we see that the value mapping of UoM is actually in table T006A.  If you equate the UOM_PLAN field in the Planning Area field, with MSEHI of table T006A, the value at field MSEH3 or table T006A would reflect in the planning book.

    Hello all,
    I'm working with CTM and I found a problem that I can't solve. If I set the profile to consider for example 8 safety days supply  (I tested with all settings) the system do not consider the safety days of supply for the first 9 days. The system creates the supply with no difference between demand and supply and at the 10th day it start to create supply with 8 days difference from demand. Did anyone know what is happening? I tryed with fixed and time-dependent safety days of supply and I'm working with the SCM 5.0.

    This setting seems to be a very good suggestion. The early demand fulfillment specifies the time that the system have to build up safety stock, but I tested it and this setting seems that doesn't work for safety days of supply. Do you know if there is another setting like this for the days of supply?

  • Safety days supply not followed due to change in Means of Transport in SNP

    Hello All,
    I am facing a strange issue regarding the SNP heuristics and means of transport. We observed that the system was not respecting the safety days supply. For example if we had a receipt in bucket 'N' and there is a violation of safety days supply in bucket 'N-1'. When we un a heuristic ideally system should delete the receipt in bucket 'N' and create a new one in bucket 'N-1'.
    But we observed that the system is retaining the existing receipt in bucket 'N' and also creating a new one in bucket 'N-1'. This is making the available days supply to increase manyfolds and the whole plan looks inconsistent from Safety Days point of view.
    After analyzing the issue i observed that if we have existing receipts using a Means of Transport 'X'. Now if we run the heuristic using a Means of Transport 'Y' then the system doesnt touch the existing receipts. If I run teh heuristics using the existing Mean of Transport then it works absolutely fine.
    Kindly suggest.

    Hi,
    when you check all products flag it means the means of transport is available for all products and not product specific, to select the MOT for SNP you need to check the aggrgtd plng flag.
    Also safety stock has nothing to do with MOT, SNP heuristic plans based on checks the quota arrangement if its for multiple MOT it will distribute the PR based on the ratio in quota if both MOT are able to meet demand on time, otherwise it will violate quota till the time both MOT are not capable of meeting the demand on time.
    If no quota is defined it will check for which lane is able to meet on time n if their are multiple lanes which can fulfill demand on time then it will choose MOT with less cost.
    Have you got multiple MOT for a source destination combination to be considered for SNP heuristic?
    Just check your design again and explain the problem again as this is not the standard expected behavior.

  • Stock Days' Supply Without Receipts - Negative despite ample stock?

    I am reviewing the MRP list for a material and find the following situation in MD06 as well as the stock / requirements list:
    SEALING WASHER;                                             3.0-     3.0-     3.0-     22.02.2011     216,071      PC     25,000
    Where the values are StckDS, 1st RDS, 2nd RDS, MRP date, plant stock, UOM and safety stock respectively.
    The plan situation considering only requirements and stock is as follows:

    With more than enough stock to cover all current and future requirements, why would the stock days' supply go negative? I do not understand the calculation from the online help, where negative values are not explained.

    I overlooked th fact that there was a separate "project stock" segment that was being planned, for which the requirement was past due.  Hence the days' supply was negative.
    The coverage for use of normal unrestricted stock would be 999 as per the data.

  • Customizing of the days' supply in MD04/MD06

    I don't see any difference with the first receipt days' supply and 2nd receipt.  We need for the 1st days supply more binding information, like the PO or process order,
    for the second we need assigned purchase requistions or firm planned orders. Could you please check.
    *Please set the indicator for consumption based planning not on safety stock or reorder point.
    Can some one give me steps how to implement the above requirement . I have gone thru the configuartion but need further help .

    You need to get your users to clarify their requirements.

    This requirement is not explicit enough.  Tell the users you need an explicit list of the items they wish to include in the calculation for first days supply.  They can select from the list found in configuration (these are the only options available):
    Production/Process orders
    POs, shpg notifications, sched. lines, dely scheds
    QM inspection lots
    Firmed purchase requisitions
    Firmed planned orders
    Assigned planned orders
    Receipt reservations
    Shipping notifications
    for the second we need assigned purchase requisitions or firm planned orders
    This is explicit enough, but not possible.  Assignment of a purchase req is not adequate to delineate.  Unfirmed (but assigned) PuReqs will not be considered.
    Please set the indicator for consumption based planning not on safety stock or reorder point.
    Receipt days supply is configured at the plant level.  It will be same whether you are using consumption based planning, or demand based planning.  It is possible to have the system calculate days supply "until stock falls to Safety stock level" or "until stock falls to zero"
    Once you have your lists of items that are to be included in 'first day' and "second day', go to OMIL.  For items to be considered only in 'first day', enter a 1.  For items to be considered only in 'second day', enter a 2.  For items to be considered in both, enter an 'X'.  
    If you wish for the system to ignore safety stock (calculate days supply until stock falls to zero), enter 1 in the safety stock field.

    after running the collection process , i can't find the fixed days supply item attribute in the collected data (from the table MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS).

    Ensure that you have defined fixed_days_supply at the org-item level.
    If you have, then check if the collection is working properly by making some other change to an item (such as description change and change of the fixed lot multiplier).
    If those changes are not coming over, the problem may be with your Data collection. Can you run a full DC? Make sure that the snapshots have been refreshed properly.

    In APO the requirements is rolling that is if you have Forecasting then the forecast for a month it is
    disaggregated into days or weeks hence if you plan to have a safety stock planning done by APO this method
    of maintaining Target days helps to maintain the stocks at the location all the time so if you define 4 days
    as the Target days of supply then at all time Heuristics run or optimizer run will ensure that stocks are
    there to meet the requirement of next 4 days as is in your case. In case of shortfall system will generate
    a requirement on the Source plant based on the transportation lane.
    Settings are maintained in Product Master under Lot size tab (Quantity and date Determination).

    System calculate days supply automaticly, this that no of days required to maintain that stock level,
    In the standard planning table, choose Edit-Create production plan-and the desired strategy (either Synchronous to sales, Zero stock level, Target stock level, Target daysu2019 supply, or Plan externally).

  • Table /SAPAPO/RES_HEAD update?

    Hi All,
    There is an inconsistancy between the values shown in the Resource Master and those in the table /SAPAPO/RES_HEAD.
    What could be the possible reasons for the same? Does the table refresh from the parent structure periodically? What do I do if I need the updated values in /SAPAPO/RES_HEAD???

    Do you mean the below fileds not matching?
    LC DAYS MINUS
    LC DAYS PLUS
    Is yes:
    These values are stored in the table: /sapapo/reslct
    the values in CFC9 defines how many time slots CIF transfers to APO
    for each resource with external time stream. If there is nothing
    defined the system uses -30...+600 as default values.
    But the length of the time stream of the resource itself has to be
    defined in the resource itself. Otherwise the system uses a default
    value defined in database table /SAPAPO/RESLCT.
    If you delete them and create yor own entry this should work as
    expected for new resources.
    Since this values are created while you tranfer the resource first time.,the values are taken from CFC9 settings.
    If my understanding is wrong for your problem , let me know the exact field value you have the inconsistency.

    I have a big performance problem in table /SAPAPO/BOP at SCM system. I run the /SAPAPO/BOP_DELETE to delete entries older than 7 days. I saw in my database lot executions as sequential read, update and delete during of SPP and GATP - BO processing. As I have the ROW COMPRESSION active for this table, I would like to know if this could have some impact for the performance issue.

  • Problem with Exception Worksheet using Data from Supply Plan Data Table

    I added a series for a flag that indicates whether product is sourced from multiple manufacturing sites for a given customer and item. The flag is on the supply plan data table because it depends on the scenario. I created an exception worksheet for when the flag is set but all combinations are being displayed. If the flag is not set for a given combo then "Selected Page Item has No Data" is displayed in place of the table. I want only the combinations that meet the exception to be shown. I tried setting up an exception worksheet for customer shipments which is also on the supply plan data table but saw the same issue with all combinations being displayed whether or not the condition is met. Does anyone know of any issues with using exception worksheets with the supply plan data table? I searched the documentation and saw that exceptions behave differently with promotion series but this isn't a promotion.
    I'm using Demantra version 7.2. Thanks for any help!

    Thanks. We have come up with a workaround. While the combinations on the left are not affected by the exception, the data in the main table is so we moved as many levels as possible into the table. The performance is slow but the data is more useful, especially when exported into Excel. I was hoping for a better solution but I guess we'll just have to stick with what we've come up with.

  • Suppliers Open Interface Tables- DFF Value on Contacts

    Hi all... I am creating an R12 Interface using the 3 Supplier open interface tables
    AP_SUPPLIERS_INT
    AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_INT
    AP_SUP_SITE_CONTACT_INT
    Here's the thing... I need to pass a legacy id value to the Contacts in order to do updates. I was hoping to use the attribute1 field. The problem is, the site contact interface table doesn't have any attribute columns!
    Is there a way around this? Does anyone know why this table is missing columns?

    Background:
    Purchase requisitions in APO is created by an idoc that comes from a legacy system using BAPI CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_POSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI3'.
    Business Requirement:
    I have a business requirement where I need to populate an additional data 'Original delivery date' from the idoc during PR creation in Product view.
    Development:
    To achieve the above requirement, we are following the below procedure in our development system.
    1. We are using enhancement:  /SAPAPO/RRP_IO_COL, method: RRP_USEX_COLS_FILL_01 and RRP_USEX_COLS_GET_TEXT_01 to display an additional field 'Original delivery date' in /sapapo/rrp3 - elements view. This field is restricted to Purchase requisition (Order category: AG) only. We are planning to populate the additional data 'Original delivery date' in this customer specific field and store it in table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS at the time of PR creation.
    2. Table: /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS is appended with the 'customer specific field'.
    3. We couldnt find a document on how the data can be populated in table /SAPAPO/ORDFLDS.
    4. How to polulate the live cache data in the table  '/APAPO/ORDFLDS' ? ( i.e using connection parameter )?
