"A copy of this account already exists in Contacts" (but it doesn't)

Running an early 2013 MacBook Pro Retina, on the latest version of Yosemite (10.10.3). I can't enable Contacts for my Exchange account in Internet Accounts. I already have Mail and Calendar selected, but when I select the checkbox for Contacts, it deselects itself a moment later (i.e. the checkmark disappears on its own). I checked out Console to try to get to the bottom of the error, and it tells me that "A copy of this account already exists in Contacts." It doesn't - this is my only Exchange account in Contacts.
I've tried deleting and re-adding the account, rebooting, fixing permissions, and checking for disk errors. No luck. Any ideas? Thank you.

I think I fixed this. The first time I deleted the account and re-added it, I chose the option to only delete it from my MacBook. I just tried again, and chose the option (in a dialog box that pops up) to delete the account on all devices. After that, I re-added the account, and Contacts now works.

I can't access my email.  I have joined iCloud.  When I press mail I get a series of providers.  I click iCloud.  It asks for my Apple id and password.  I provide these to be told this account already exists and I can get no further.  What am I doing wrong?

Sorry everyone - I have solved my own question - needed to go through Hotmail account of course.

  • I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the pick a username screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists...." despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the <pick a username> screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists.Only one account per email address is allowed on the Apple Support Communities" despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

This problem has been driving me demented. The instructions that Ivan gives have partially worked for me. By following his link
"How to find out if you have multiple Apple IDs" I was able to identify that yes I did have two apple accounts using the same e mail address. One was very old that I used to use for the forum boards and one is my much more recent ID that I use for everything these days. So I changed the e mail address for the old account which is associated with these discussion boards and that's the account that I am now posting this from. However even though the two accounts now have different e mail addresses when I try to log onto the boards with my more recent main apple ID I still get all the same errors as described at the start of this thread by rodgers_j. And of course that's the one I want to use so that I only have one itunes account for everything.
So if anyone has any more hints I'd be very grateful.

There is definitely more amusing endeavours in this world, than trying to understand why an SQL Server install failed. The log files are verbose - but somehow the real information about what went wrong seems to be hiding. Never have proverb about not being
able to see the forest for all the trees felt more appropriate.
Nevertheless, this is where things go sour:

What account? I supposed you have already asked yourself that and just shaken your head.
But there is another error code 2203, NET HELPMSG 2203 says "The password parameter is invalid." And I note that the source is apparently on a share.
So where is my guess: the MSI installer - which runs as a service, somehow does not have permissions to read the installation from the share. Or is trying to log on to the share with your username/password? No, I don't know, I am just speculating widely.
But my advice would be to copy the installation directory from the share to a local disk.
Maybe that CryptAcquireContext is significant as well - I don't know.
Oh, wait, here is something just before the section above in the log:
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: Environment
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2228 2:  3: Environment 4: SELECT `Name`,`Value` FROM `Environment`,`Component` WHERE `Component_`=`Component` AND (`Component`.`Action` = 1 OR `Component`.`Action` = 2)
    Action start 9:04:15: WriteEnvironmentStrings.
2205 is "The logon processor did not add the message alias." I see that in a successful log that I have, so that is probably benign. But 2228 seems to be
"There are too many names in the user accounts database."
Exactly what that means, I have no clue, but it could be a Windows problem.

  • Facebook account "already exists" - but not visible

Hi. I have a new Mac Mini running 10.8.2.
When I first got the computer I entered my FAcebook details and then, when my Contacts and Calendars were populated in a terrifying way, I deleted the Facebook account. Now I realize I was being hasty and I could have just unchecked "Contacts" and "Calendars" in the Mail, Contacts & Calendars panel of the Settings.
However, when I now try to add my Facebook account I am getting the error message that that "Facebook account already exists." It is not in the list of mail accounts. Do I need to delete a p list file or something? I hate to do that because I use Google authentication and it's a pain to enter the new ap-specific password. But I would like Facebook integration.
    Thanks!
    Meghan
PS Is there any way to select which contacts we'd like to populate? THat would be cool.

I had the same problem, what LousyFool suggested fixed my problem:
    LousyFool wrote:
Go to ~/Library/Facebook and move the file(s) in that directory to a different location, e.g. Desktop. Then log out and back in, and see if the "Facebook account allready exists", still.
This facebook user account files are under Users/yourusername/Library/Facebook . When you find this file you can just rename the ending ".plist" file in this folder with a ".bak" for backup copy. When you complete the account set up and log out a new ".plist" will be created.
*Note: In Mountain Lion 10.8.3 this "Library" folder is hidden. But if you go to the Finder "Go" menu and click option key the Library will be visable in the list.
    thanks all.

I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • "This entry already exists in the following tables DLN1"

    Hi there,
We create a Delivery from Sales Order using the Copy To option with a batch managed item. When we try to add the document, the error message appears:
This entry already exists in the following tables '' (DLN1) (ODBC -2035)
I think it is something to do with the chosen batches but I'm not sure about it. Did someone already have the same issue before?
    Thanks and regards,
    Nat

    Hi,
I would suggest to escalate this issue to SAP support.
Our client has experienced similar issue but they want to update item master data. They duplicated existing one and then delete last 3 digits of the original item code and then update it, the error message appears but it refers to AIT1 table and ODBC 2035.
There is a note relate to it but it is just a query and the result must be sent to SAP support.
However, have you tried to use copy from ? I mean you open the DO, put the customer code and then copy from the SO ? Will the error appear ?
    Rgds,

    Hi,
If you are trying to create a Business Partner code where the code is same as another added in the database already as a G\L Account, then the error also occurs.
If the issue is not fixed by running the task, it is a database corruption for which further investigation from support is necessary.
Please log a support ticket to get the issue investigated.

    Hi Gordon,
What happens if  the user had performed a Update Query on the OTAX table and then added the invoice he was unaware that he should not run UPDATE queries on database. But invoices to which the update query was not executed cannot be added.
    The query follows :
    UPDATE TAX1
SET AbsEntry = XXXXXX where AbsEntry = YYXXXXXX
    Select Top 15* from OTAX INNER JOIN TAX1 on OTAX.AbsEntry = TAX1.AbsEntry

If I first go to SAPBO and do the same document manually with the exact same data as in the *.xml file it works fine.
Then I try to import the *.xml file and the error is not present anymore.
So if I get this error, go and create a similar document manually and then try again to import the *.xml file it does ok.
Obviously I cant say the client to do this each time He gets this error.
    Is this a bug?
I have tested it in 2007 PL 45 & PL 48 and occurs the same way in both.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

  • This entry already exists in the following tables 'Journal Entry' (OJDT)

    Forum,
I'm 8.81 PL09. Yesterday we performed a stock count then updated quantities and then reconciled the stock posting. This correctly posted a journal to the relevant stock gain/loss account.
Today we found that there had been a couple of mistakes in terms of the counted quantity so we again went into Stock Taking, amended the quantities then went into stock posting. We confirm the quantities need updating but upon trying to 'Reconcile' we get the following error:
This entry already exists in the following tables 'Journal Entry' (OJDT) (ODBC-2035) [Message 131-183]
I have tried to perform a restore item balances to no avail.
Could anyone shed any light on this?
    Regards,
    Juan

    Hi,
I'm facing the same problem. It seems like the number series got stuck. I also reconsiled the first load, and then for the next one I'm facing the same problem as you have. I can see the first journal entry having the correct docnum according to the number series setup. But in the number series setup, the "Next no." still have the same number as the first journal entry. I have no idea how to fix it, but to make it work for now I guess you could go and change the default number series for Journal Entries and finish rout inventory posting.
Let me know if there is any fix on this one.
