A dll I am using is requesting a window to post to. Is this possible in LabView?
I searched the forums for how to do this, but didn't find anything. Please assist. Thanks.
The dll function is
3.1.1 BtOpenAPI This is a declaration for starting to use this API. Piror to using all functions, it is necessary to call this function once. Syntax:
BOOL BtOpenAPI(HWND hWndApl, PCHAR pszAplName, PLONG plStatus); Parameters:
HWND hWndApl Specifies the main window handle of an application that uses this DLL. PCHAR pszAplName Specifies the name of an application. This parameter is used for identifying the owner of a COM port created by CreateCOMM(), etc.
PLONG plStatus A pointer that returns the status of the processing result. Error information is returned by a negative value (The return value is FALSE.), and warning information (The return value is TRUE.) is returned by a positive value. Return Value: TRUE is returned when processing was successful. FALSE is returned when it failed.
It is a win32 based API. The API wants to post data from a callback to a message window 'hWndApl' .

I would like to extend the screen from my circa 2013 27in iMAC with thunderbolt onto my circa late 2006 imac using the DVI port on that iMAC. Is this possible? If not is there another approach I can use? My 2006 iMAC is showing it's age but I figure I can use it as just a monitor just fine. Assuming I can connect the two together.
That older iMac isn't designed to receive video input through the mini-DVI connection. Only certain newer iMacs are able to be used as displays.
Your only options are to use something like ScreenRecycler mentioned above.

How can i set songs within a playlist, or an entire playlist, so that they are not included when using the shuffle function on IPOD Classic?
Is this possible?You can set any song to Skip when shuffling.
In your iTunes Library, highlight the song and right-click/Get Info. On the Options tab is the Skip when shuffling box. Select that and then Sync the iPod with your Library. -
I have two iPads, two separate accounts I have purchased apps on one Acc. and would like to use them on my second iPad. How is this possible
If you go to Settings > iTunes & AppStore , you can sign out from your account, and sign in with the one you've used to purchase apps.This will not remove any apps you already have on it.
Then you can go to AppStore and download apps you've purchased (either via "Purchased" button in "Updates", or simply search for them and download them.
That way you can have multiple accounts' apps on your iPad. When updating, you will be prompted for the credentials for account you've purchased given App with. -

I am not sure if I can program or whatever my ipad mini to use as the renote for our apple tv. We cannot find the remote and I thought I read somewhere tht one can set up their ipad device to act as a remote for apple tv. I could be wrong. Maybe it means sharing some other thisngs between computers but not usinghte ipad as a remote for apple tv. Any information abou this mater would be greatly appreciated!

Tried to sign up for walmart savings catcher and ancestry.com. Both sites said that email address is already in use. No, it's not currently possible, you can only gift content (and gift certificates) to people who use the same iTunes store as yourself - I think that the gifting will appear to go through, but when the UK person tries to redeem it, he/she will get an error message (even if the album was available in their store it would still error).

A Mac Mini s a computer you can use with the iPad.
YO do not need a computer fro backup since yo can backup to iCloud.
However, sometimes software glitches occur and require connecting the device to a compute to restore vi iTuunes.
You can control a computer via an iPod with an app like TeamViewer or LogMeIn. There are others too.
You can also use an iPad a a SECONDAY monitor for a computer. with other apps.
You need a dedicated monitor, keyboard and mouse to setup the Mini. You can use a PC USB mouse and keyboard. -

Safari was incredibly slow today, as it has been a lot lately, but inconsistently. The other computers in the house had normal speed. I'm not a tech person. I attached a copy of the activity monitor - how it looks right now. I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Thank you.
bottom halfAs Kappy says, the virtual memory information is mostly meaningless except to developers, and most of them do not really care.
In this case the Java VM usage is most likely a math error on the part of either the operating system, or Activity Monitor (when a 64-bit number goes negative, but is then displayed as an unsigned value, it can look like what you are seeing; ignore it).
What you ARE interested in is "Real Memory" usage, and who is using it. Look at those numbers in Activity Monitor.
If you want to see if pageout activity is affecting your performance, then start Applicaitons -> Utilities -> Terminal and run the command "sar -g 60 100" which will report pageout numbers once a minute for 100 minutes (adjust the numbers to suit your tastes). Mostly zero means no pages outs. Occassional spikes generally occur when starting an app or switching to an app which has been idle for awhile. Sustained pageouts starts to indicate a problem. High sustained pageouts means you could benefit from either having more RAM or running fewer concurrent applications. -

Like I wrote on title, I am getting old and it is not easy to see E-mails, news etc. on a I phone! New I phone will not help me for the size.
If possible, everything without calls, I would like to use I Pad as direct unit, and for calls through I Pad over WIFI all calls. If a call as Skype, I would like
to use the I Pad as a monitor. Is this possible?
I found on a side that there is a product for people for better hearing, which can be put into the ears, using WIFI with I Phone.
If this product could be used also for I Pad as a Phone for hearing, and the I watch or I Pad as Microphone, it will be great for old Mac users.
Is this possible with our system know?
I am using Mac since Classic II! Would like to continue with the newest items with the possibility for old person with bad Eyes or Ears.

How do I stop pop up that asks me, Do you want to save changes to doc... before closing? I have made no changes only printed the file. Using Adobe Reader DC, Windows 7 64 bit.
This is very annoying and we need this stopped as we have made no changes to any of the adobe files. Please advise how to do this.
Customer Service DCCI first tried the version without the deflated stream (so everything uncompressed) against the online repair tool to check/analyse it @ https://www.pdf-tools.com/osa/repair.aspx
And it says no error found, but the reader still want to save it when closing so i still had no clue at this point.
Fortunately, i finally found what was wrong with my generated PDF.
In my xref table, each object reference was not end by a full EOL, i only did put a newline char.
Now i have "carriage return" "newline" which is the full EOL and the reader is happy and close the file silently.
As suspected i did not follow correctly the specs on xref table
Now i'll go and figure what i did wrong with the deflate filter
