A letter of complain

Dear Sir/Madam:
Re: Web order No: W52825845
On 11th June 2006, I bought a Mac Book Pro (17-inch), model number Z0CP and serial number is W86240BQTJ1 at apple.com.
Unfortunately, your product has not performed well because the super drive is not functioning. I am disappointed because the product does not work properly, no disc can be inserted into the feeder and I was asked to try more then 10 different disc when I called for technical support .Finally I got a replacement. When I returned home and unpacked the new Mac Book Pro, I found the LCD not balance, I am therefore reported to your company and asking for immediate replacement.
But I was very disappointed me after our telephone conversations,
In those conversations a message to me is very clearly are, I was assumed to export your product to china and I was a resident in china and you are not willing to serve a Chinese. And I want to clarify something here, first day a conversation with jack; I was asked who helped me to collect the defective product. I felt so strange and rude about this question; it was not related to my request. I can only query is it asking me who destroyed my notebook, and it was offended me. So I ignored the question, unexpected your agent who represent your company, said bye bye to me and did not gave me enough time to explain to him anymore. Last call with Paul, he continuing asked me the same question, who was helped me to collect the product when I was not in Hong Kong. He was using a very sure tone, told me the P.O.D. was signed is my signature. And very clear claim that I was export the notebook to china, they won’t serve people in china and I am reside at china, even I told him I was in Japan while it’s delivery and I live in Hong Kong, I am not export it to china , and I can show him my passport if needed, I can prove everything’s. The most unreasonable is he was asked me to prove the product was destroyed before delivery. I would like to know, how can I prove it? What’s the service you are providing? I am very sure that not my problem! The package containing the goods appeared to be in perfect condition and because we trust your company so accepted it without question. I felt very not respected and totally loss the trust in your company.
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your money back. Please credit my card with the invoiced value. No one more replacement, I had fed up to complain your quality.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until 30th July 2006

  • I was typing a long Yahoo email response , and got a Firefox crash notice . 38 minutes of my typing was lost. How can I get back that 38 minutes?

Mozilla crashed presumably because my AVG PC tuneup utility wanted to come online. Mozilla has been "crashing' much more frequently now, but would be restorable to what I was doing in the past. This has really upset me. Yahoo mail typically saves what I've typed in a Draft folder automatically, but not now. It saved my typing as of 10:19AM, and the system crashed at 10:57. I don't see where Yahoo even lets you complain about a specific issue. Can you shed some light on this issue?

  • Group messages over wi-fi in iOS 8

I have been in a group message chat with two other friends for over a year now, and it's always sent no problem over wi-fi. I just upgraded to iOS 8, but can only send my group texts now. Is this because they only have iOS 7 and older?

I'm having the same issue. 3 other people for the past couple of years, they haven't upgraded yet, I have and I can't send anything to them through my iPhone but my iPad can. I feel like Apple has stopped caring to beta test any of their software before it's released. They just release it, let everyone complain about it, and that's how they know what do fix. This is ridiculous.

  • Can't delete photos from Lightroom 2

    Hi all,
    My first post here.
I am having trouble deleting photos from my hard drive through Lightroom 2. It will remove the "Rejected" photos from the catalogue, but will only sporadically delete them from my hard drive. I've tried a number of solutions I read about on-line: deteting from the bottom filmstrip only rather than the grid, using Ctrl+backspace, etc. but nothing works. Or I should probably say that nothing works consistently. I also cannot find any pattern as to when it does delete them properly -- the last few days nothing has worked. Do I just have to live with this, or have any of you out there figured out?
I've also checked the properties of these files in Explorer -- they are not "Read only" nor are they "Hidden". I've made sure that I'm in the Library module, Grid view selected, all filters are off, and I've tried deleting them from individual folders as well as the "All Photographs" option. The last couple of days, all I can get is a message like "There are 203 files that cannot be deleted."
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Take care.

I think I saw this once, with a few rejects (only with Lr 2.) It would show me the reject grid view without any images, but I could still see them in the library grid as rejected.  Eventually I was able to reject them, but I don't remember what I did, other than ignore it and hope it went away eventually.
You can do nutty stuff like unflag the images (maybe make a collection first, so you don't lose them in your library) and then delete some or all of them from the filesystem.  Then let Lr complain about the missing files and make the gesture that drops them from the catalogue. It really depends if this problem is related to the underlying unlink operation or some database integrity issue.
I used to regularly SQLite vacuum my catalogue, too, so if it is catalogue related, perhaps that shook things loose.

  • Easier to use MBP temp monitor.

Ok it is the same one that CRYPTONOME made I just made it easier for the lamen to use.
    1. Download this zip file.
    2. There are 3 steps in the zip file.
    3. First put the speedit file in your home directory.
    4. Double click the step one file.
    5. Double click the step two file.
    6. Double click the MBP Temp file and your temp will show in the terminal.

Apple really needs a depot forum for whiners and
complainers, and move all the threads of that type
    there.
I have ZERO problems with my MBP. I only wish I had
    twice the hard drive space....

let them complain. its not a big deal. i dont know why so many people are bothered by it. You (not you specifically) dont have to read any post that you dont want. these people are doing what apple should be doing. they are doing more research to solve their problems then apple is. i think its kind of cool that they complain but now are taking it into their own hands to try and pinpoint and solve their specific problems. of course i dont agree with every post in here and some posts are worthless but its my choice if i want to read it or not. Some people cant stand reading whine posts. but when a new post pops up they feel they have to enter it and vent. its meaningless stress lol. Let the apple Discussion mods take care of all that.
i much rather read a post that might be re posted over and over then to go into a post and read people bashing it. to me thats just as bad.

  • Macbook Pro can't use mouse or ever turn-up and turn-down buttons.

    To whom it may concern,
My name is Itsaree Rathchatataithat , a customer from Thailand. I am writing this letter to complain about your product and service in Thailand. I have been your customer since the iPhone 4s was launched into the market and that is the very first start of the problem. I found your iPhone4s was sometimes malfunction but I bought it from the shop Winner, Central Udonthani branch, and I do not think this shop is your official distributor. Therefore, I chose to let it go. In December, 2013, I purchased " 13.3 inches, MacBook Pro.( Please find Serial No. Attached files)at the "iStudio", Central Udonthani branch, here are the problems I have found:
    1. After I used it for a month, your MacBook turned malfunction again. I could not use the mouse or ever turn-up and turn-down buttons. I hurried reporting to your distributor, in this case "iStudio, Central Udonthani branch, after talking for a while, they informed me that my Macbook needed to be taken care by experts and I could not agree more.
    2. After I got my MacBook back from the first technical care, I still found the same problem so I decided to go back to "iStudio" again. I kept telling the same story but this time they promised that if it could not be fixed, they would change the new one for me.
    3. After the promise thing, I still had to confronted with the old same problem. Then I went back again, I mean the third time. This time I asked them what happened to my Macbook and I do not think the answer could be clear by the word, "I don't know"
I hope you see my point and please take action as soon as you can. I am looking forward to hearing your reaction.
(If you need any purchasing documents, please feel free to contact me.)

I'm wondering whether you have any background software running that might be causing the problem, Sebastien?
Fax software, anything that adds its own devices to the menubar, etc, perhaps? "Content Barrier" and "Speedtools" are pieces of software that I have seen linked to this issue. Virus blockers generally might be worth considering as possible causes.
Can you think of anything that you have installed that might have created third party system extensions ("kexts") that could be interefering with the regular processes?
A clean OS install might really be the best solution, though it is time consuming of course.

  • How to order Levono Parts

Hello All, I'm a partly happpy owner of a Yoga 2 Pro.   I say partly, for a few reasons.   It's always been difficult for day to day use from resolution issues to touch screen and keyboard problems.  Plus with pre-packaged junk like Superfish, it seems like Levono took lessons on security from Sony.  Having to adjust screen and zoom settings is a royal pain.   (I realize it's more the applications fault, but it is embarassing)   on the plus side it looks nice and is light. My main issue though is the shoddy SSD they put in the thing that was evidently designed to fail just after the warranty expired and the low quality of the support website.   I've been trying for the last 2 hours to open a support ticket to see if I can get a replacement drive shipped to me and I have failed miserably.   All I get is an "Assisted Search" dialog and a button to purchase premium support. I guess I'll just go to NewEgg and buy a bigger SSD and throw F22 on it and avoid future Levono products.   Thanks for letting me complain though, it was cathartic.

  • Very high contrast or inverted colors during scree...

I've had this same phone on my 1st 1520 and this is repeating on the new replacement as well.. so far I've seen it twice in the last 10 days, latest 15mins ago. When I unlocked the screen, the lock screen goes all weird.
It was like high contrast or the colors were inverted? I tried to take a screen shot, but it corrected itself before I could get the screen shot off.
Anyone else have or had this issue? Something to be concerned about?
I've seen similar post here - http://forums.wpcentral.com/nokia-lumia-928/253914-very-high-contrast-screen.html I'm experiencing the same kind of screen.

  • If you own a 12'' iBook g4, please reply

Ok guys i need your help. I need to know for sure if there is something wrong with my display or not, cause this is driving me crazy.
The left side of my screen is slightly darker then the right side. This is ONLY noticable on pure white backgrounds that span the entire screen. Most sane people would probably never notice this, let alone complain about it. So please look closely.
I need you to tell me if your 12'' iBook g4 is the same way. darkness on the left side is from top to bottom, and acts as kind of a gradient as it brightens toward the right side. Again, very faint and near impossible to notice.
Please only reply is you have a 12'' g4 ibook, as any other would be a different screen and irrelevent.

Ooh, you are determined aren't you...
I know what you've done. You've cleverly designed this test page with the left side slightly darker than the right just to make the whole iBook community paranoid about their displays being out of balance.
Er, yes. The LHS of my display is slightly darker than the RHS. And I hadn't noticed until I looked at your test page. I can see it as I type this...
Ah, I've got it. Your test page is cleverer than I first thought. There is a hidden code written within it to mess up the display settings of any iBook used to view it.
    Come on admit it.
What have I done to you...?
Why are you picking on me?
See, you've made me paranoid now!

  • CDs not importing

My CDs aren't importing into my iTunes library - I've tried two already. I'm on a Macbook, with system 10.4.10...and I have the new iTunes, as well.
It'll import a few songs, and then freeze on one, and it won't continue. My computer makes weird whirring noises, and I have to force quit iTunes
    Why would this be?
I don't think that the CDs are that scratched -

I've had this problem since iTue 7.1. Around then my internal CD/RW/DVD seems to go funny, spitting out most CDs and DVDs after unsuccessfully trying to read them. I bought an external Freecom DVD/RW drive (firewire/USB) and this at least plays disks. However, it seems I cannot import Audio CDs as before. iTunes pays them, indeed Finder reads them, but I cannot import int iTunes.
iTunes seems to start importing the first track then freezes at about 22 secs. The only option is for me to turn the external drive off, let OSX complain, then forcequit iTunes.
I work around this by copying the aiff files from the CD in Finder to my HDD and then dragging them into iTunes. This works, although then the get CD tracknames doesn't work and I have to name them manually.
As I suggested before,I've been searching for a solution to this for a few months. I've tried changing the error corrections settings in preferences - nothing works.
The CDs import perfectly on Windows using iTunes - ironic eh?
Why does iTunes freeze on importing? This is obviously something that other users are experiencing. So far, no solution.

  • ATSServer throws tantrum like 2-year-old

ATSserver truly is very stubborn - once it has decided to complain, good luck in making it stop.
The setup: my MacBook Pro with 10.5.1 Leopard (unfortunately), 3GB RAM, attached to a LaCie 2big disk array, 2 mirrored 750GB drives, attached by FireWire 800, and partinioned into 3 partinitions: "TimeMachine" (TM exclusive use), "BackUp" (for Synk files), "SafaData" (for individual files).
I have not changed anything in my font setup in the last 2 weeks, had no ATSServer errors whatsoever in all this time; my few user-installed fonts (5 families to be exact) all reside in my ~home/Library/Fonts; there are no 3rd party font tools of any kind installed; all OS fonts are left untouched in their respective locations where they were installed by Apple, and are turned on and off through FontBook.
    Here's what happened:
    1) I had one of the lovely Leopard-only OS hangs yesterday (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6217557#6217557)
    2) This made TimeMachine do its "deep traversal" dance routine, and then add completely unnecessary 50+ GB to my backup set (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=6218392#6218392)
    3) I decided to, once again, restart TimeMachine from scratch: initialize the TM destination disc, let TM work through an entirely new backup set.
    4) TimeMachine stopped working after 12.8GB were backed up, when ATSServer began spewing ridiculous "Bad On-Memory Font Detected" errors to the Console. Erase disk, start again, same result: 12.8GB, ATSServer going crazy.
    5) Starting to get somewhat short-tempered, I turned TimeMachine Off and again erased its disk partition. I checked all loaded fonts in FontBook (they were all OK), deleted all ATSServer font caches, and restarted the MacBook Pro.
I started backing up my home folder, my work partition, and finally my Users/Shared folder, using Synk Pro 6.2.1.
    6) At some point, you've guessed it, ATSServer again began its silly routine, writing hundreds of error messages to the Console - my guess is that this started when mdimport worked through the backup files +on the Backup partition+.
    7) Now the real fun starts: I quit Synk, *unmounted and physically disconnected the external drive* with the backup partition.
Does anyone think this stopped ATSServer from complaining about all sorts of "com.apple.ATSServer[847] A fatal error was detected using fontiD 131449 while processing a message (id: 11) from pid=194."? Of course it didn't.
    8) Rebooted the MBP (external drives were not attached), and even in the login screen I knew ATSServer was acting up in the background, as everything was extremely slow.
    9) Again deleted all ATSServer cache files, reset PRAM, rebooted into Safe mode - supposedly such Voodoo helps to reset some deep-level System caches.
ATSServer was still acting up and complaining about bad fonts.
    10) Rebooted using the Leopard Install DVD, checked and fixed my System disk and its permissions.
    11) Reboot - ATSServer is still acting up, complaining about font files.
    12) I let it complain and went to bed.
*ATSServer cried a full 2 hours about font files that supposedly are broken.*
I'm pretty certain the font files in question are on the external FW800 disk that had been unmounted a long time and many many reboots earlier, and ATSServer simply was unable to stop complaining, like a 2-year-old crying long after having forgotten what its all about.
Would anyone know of some sort of Lollipop for ATSServer? You know: a way to make it forget about a booboo that +is no loger even here+, and start to behave normally again? Or even just a way to understand what it is that makes ATSServer unhappy - like: which fonts it is complaining about?
    It would be most appreciated.

Heads-up: I think I found out the culprit.
Turns out this has almost certainly nothing at all to do with any installed font issues: the two-hour-long complaining by ATSServer has been initiated by mdsearch trying to index a single corrupted 52KB PDF file that was badly mangled by a webserver!
I would have hoped for OS X 10.5 to be more robust than that - with all the problems I had and am still having, it feels more like a house of cards, precariously stacked up, and ready to crash at any time.

  • Open letter to people who complain about not recei...

    Dear fellow Nokia phone geeks,
Hi and how are you.  Let me start by saying I mean no disrespect to JimmyIreland, who's open letter was thoughtful and fair, but I despise "open letters" because they are the work of individuals who think they speak for the group and assume (incorrectly) that anyone cares what they have to say.
The company, Nokia, puts out some of the best hardware on the market, including the best camera phone on the market, and an OS that, while much maligned, has some huge advantages over other systems.  It's very stable, uses fewer resources, and ultimately demands less of it's hardware than any other smartphone OS.
In 10 months since the N8 was released it has had two complete firmware updates, one in the process and one soon to be released.  Nokia was clear about the fact that Anna would be released for some vanilla variety phones in some countries by the end of August.  They also said that other countries and variant phones would follow.
Even with this knowledge that Anna would be released by the end of August, dozens of people complained on these boards that Anna was not coming as promised pointing out that Elop was responsible for screwing you and that you are going to go right out and ditch your Nokia and buy an iPhone.  Guess what, not only did the initial release come out by the end of August, it came out in the middle of August.
Nokia also told us that they could not predict exactly when each phone would be updated and that certain countries and variants would be forthcoming.  Yet you complained that they should have released all the updates at once or that they should have an exact release schedule.  That is unrealistic my friends.
Obviously if they were to release all of the updates at once, it would mean that everyone would have to wait for the single release and then, upon the release, everyone would have to deal with the technical support nightmare associated with such a worldwide release.  Releasing a schedule would require that Nokia be able to fully control all of the variables and that again, they would have to make some folks wait to get the update until all of the variables could be controlled and a release schedule could be created.
You speculated that Microsoft and/or AT&T were the evil doers responsible for the fact that some of you do not have your update yet.  You told the community that you were done with Nokia and that you would never buy another Nokia.
However, you're still here posting your complaints.  And every time I visit this board and see new messages posted under the a heading about Anna updates, I click on the thread hoping to learn something new.  Nope, there you are still posting your complaints, your speculation and your threats.
Thank-you because reading your posts is like watching a train-wreck in slow motion.  I no-longer need waste my time watching reality TV because I am getting my fill here!  However I ask you to do us a favor and go ahead and ditch your Nokia and pick up one of those Androids (because Google is so great at updating their phones) or iPhones (because Apple produces such great hardware).
    All my Best,
    cecampbell

    terryowen wrote:
I purchased my N8 from Amazon who sold it to me with the promise of an update to Anna. Since new N8s are being sold with Anna, that seemed reasonable to me. However, the waiting around had exceeded my return window, so now I'm stuck and not very happy.
In my case, I really need the portrait keyboard and the camera update. If Nokia were to release them separately from Anna, or an independent software developer had created apps with the same functionality, then I wouldn't be complaining.  I guess I could put the phone in a drawer until the update comes around to the US but I spent hundreds of dollars on this thing and oddly enough, I don't want to.  I just want it to work as promised.  And yes, Amazon bears some of the blame but so does Nokia.
I have had enough Android phones to not want another but seriously, Apple's hardware is as good as or better than Nokia (camera excepted) and for the money, why would I want to go through this yet again?  I like my independence and no contracts but at some point, you start to rethink it.
Nokia makes awesome phones.  Their software and customer service - not so much.  As a software support person myself, I really do sympathize with them but as a consumer, I'm sick and tired of phones (not just Nokia) being rushed out with serious software flaws. That's one reason I got tired of Android, flashing my phone every other week got really old, even if it was fun in the beginning.
For almost five hundred dollars, I expect it to just work. That's not unreasonable, especially when the same hardware is being sold with the fixes I need.  For not too much more cash, I could get the most popular smartphone on the planet (with an app store to match).  As much as I like Nokia, the experience of owning one in the US is more and more of a drag.  If they don't want us as customers, why not just stop selling us phones and promises?
    Terry
Firstly IF Amazon gave you a promise of an update, Then I'm damn sure they didnt give a date, nor would they promise something like a portrait keyboard. If you really needed a keyboard like that why the heck firstly did you BUY it, and secondly why didnt you buy an E7 at least you can see the converstaion whilst using the keyboad part of the phone. Whilst the cam might not be a 12MP it is an 8MP cam and more than enough for most things, they are similar size and do simialr things only the E7 has the keyboard. When you buy soemthing you buy it for what it is, not what it could be. There is never any guarantees that an update either fully or in part can or will be availble in any particular country. that is the control of the carriers in that country
Also if new N8's were being sold with Anna obviously at the same time for you to compare them like you have in your statement, why didnt you buy one of them. You have been told you will get an update, but you will have to be patient. If you read any of the threads that started to talk about the portrait keyboard, you would see that many people didnt like it, that it was hard to use.
If you want information about the Update then RING NOKIA USA and ask them, dont continue to complain to other users. Only Nokia USA will be able to give any extra information, other than what skyee has said. And currently that is, that its still being worked on.

  • To whom do I complain about the calendar on the iPad 2 with iOS 7? I can no longer read my appointments. Is there an adjustment I can make? Larger text size doesn't help.

To whom do I complain about the OS 7 calendar on the iPad 2? I used to be able to read my appointments. The new small font is horrible. Text size doesn't seem to change it. Can I change it?

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. • Wont let me post pictures on Facebook and overheating!!

I have had this phone for a few weeks now and I love it however a few issues have started creeping up,
Firstly I wanted to post some pictures on facebook, I attached them to a post but when I clicked 'post' it just totally came out of the app so I thought I may have done it too quickly not allowing them to upload properly onto the tag so I tried again and left it a good 5 minutes but again when I clicked 'post' it came out of the app. So I tried a 3rd time (this time with only 1 picture - before this i was trying to upload 3) and again would not let me and just totally came out of Facebook. I resulted in emailing them to myself and uploading them by my laptop!!
Secondly I charged my phone all night last night and it was full this morning before coming to work, around dinner time my phone had dropped right down to about 25% (id only txt a few times) and it was roasting so I decided to take my case off it to find my blue case has now stained my white battery cover, within 20 mins my phone was still roasting but the phone has completely turned off as my battery had gone. I googled to see if I could find a replacement back cover but no nothing!!! Really frustrated as my battery usually lasts around 2 days.
Can someone help me or give me some advice
PS no apps were running today

    Laura,
I post pictures from my z10 daily on facebook.  I would uninstall it from MyWorld and re-install it. The App might have been currupted at some point. Actually facebook needs to get their app property programmed for z10.. A lot of people have complained about the facebook app and facebook needs to utilize the app better with the z10.
For charging your phone, make sure you use the charger and the cable that came with your z10. Some of the old Blackbery Cables and chargers don't work, they actually drain your battery.  There is a company who has replacement OEM covers , but currently they are out of stock.. I have the white z10 and I also want to replace the back cover with a black one..To create a diffrent look.  I spoke to crackberry and they will also be ordering z10 back covers in the near future as a lot of people who want to swap covers to give it the oreo look.

  • Why won't Ovi Store let me download any programs -...

I have an E71 and just updated the firmware. As moving settings over messed my wifi up last time, I opted to do this manually and reinstall all my programs - I set aside a few hours last night to get this done.
Ovi Store is widely known to have serious design flaws. The main being it does offer a direct download of the .sisx files on the PC version, only a text message with a link - which goes without saying is a terrible way of receiving files.
Last time I used the PC version my text messages showed up several days later - and this time none have appeared yet, as expected.
So I used the phones built-in Ovi Store, which does the job.
However, after just about installing all my programs I checked out the 'settings' in Ovi Store and saw that the default was for them to be stored on the memory card, which fundamental logic dictates is wrong - they go on the phone memory because it is faster.
Why is the default for programs to be stored somewhere no sensible, intelligent person would store them?
As there does not appear to be any semblance of a functional file system on the E71 (certainly not something capable of showing which memory various applications are saved to, or the option of being able to move them from the memory card back to the phone) I decided formatting the card would be the most sensible option.
I did this, lost a bunch of my apps that were on the memory card and went over to the Ovi store on my phone to re-download them.
It now has these apps greyed out as if they are still installed - which they are not!
I then went on my PC - and of course the website might as well not exist, because Nokia don't send me SMS messages for a few days, if at all.
I really don't know what I've done to deserve this. I've purchased two E71s, Nokia drive AND the traffic updates (which are now free) in the last 18 months - and all Nokia do is work as hard as they can to punish me, ruin my phone experience and force me onto the new Windows 7 phone that I am almost certain to order on release.
There is no coincidence about the degree of deliberately compromising hardware/software decisions I've complained about on this forum, Nokia never sending me programs I want via SMS but happily filling my SMS and email inbox with marketing - and waiting until I paid up for my Maps before making it free and now this.
It is clear that Nokia do NOT want me to enjoy their phone and buy an E72 soon - and instead want me to go with Windows 7. They have put great time, resources and effort into forcing me into this decision.
    - Why does Ovi store online not have the manual download function that any sensible, reasonable human would demand?
    - Why does the second-rate, third-world SMS download function not bother sending the link for several days?
    - Why does the Ovi software install programs somewhere that no human with the slightest comprehension of IT skills would advocate installing them?
    - Why does the Ovi software not let me re-install programs from the built-in store that are no longer on my phone?
I will be the last of my friends who have returned various phones such as the disasterous N97 and permamently moved to different phone manufacturers when my contract ends this summer.

    1. Actually, any sensible intelligent person would store the programs on the memory card. Not doing so would mean that he has less knowledge of the phone. If any of the programs come into conflict with other programs causing certain problems like restarts general hangs, and unable to start the phone, if this app is on the phone memory, it would be hell of a problem. You can change it if you want. Your choice. Also I keep too many apps for them to be stored on phone memory. Python, Java 2.0, Flash Lite, MS Silverlight for Symbian and Ovi Maps already take up too much space to leave enough for buffer.
    2. There is an application manager on the E71. Also, AFAIK the application manager also shows which memory the app is stored in (a little memory card icon beside apps in memory card). It should be in Menu>Tools>Manager
    3. The apps are greyed out because you did not uninstall them properly. On the phone memory, where the Oinstallation logs are saved, there is no log of the apps being uninstalled, so Ovi Suite sees them as installed.
    FOr the questions in bold:
    1. This is done through a firefox plugin. We do not know why, but I suspect its with distribution rights and to make sure that only Nokia phones can access several apps that are exclusive for Nokia users only. For example, Gameloft and Polarbit gave away several paid games for free to Nokia users. If the apps were downloadable in sis files, the game manufacturers would not earn from Sony users who can get the files for their Satio for free through Nokia sites.
    2. Not really sure. There are times I receive the SMS instantaneously, sometimes I receive them a few hours late.
    3. False. In fact as I already stated above, it is more advisable to install apps in memory card as opposed to phone memory.
    4. Also already explained above.
