A program or a Functionality which is used in SAP BW instead of BEx ?

If you are looking for FMs you can use WEBQUERY, RRW3_WEBRFC or RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA.
If you are looking for reporting tools other than BEX analyzer and WAD.
You have tools like VC, Excelcius, Web intlligence, Crystal Reports etc.. these tools are used for different purposes like VC and Excelcius are used for creating dashboards.

How to bee able to use the anchor functionality as is used in APEX develop

First of all APEX is great !
I have been using APEX to do some small applications in Norway. Now i am in a position to make a sales presentation for Norwegian Civil Aviation authority department. I hope we winn the contract and then we are going to use APEX for building the system.
I need to bee able to navigate between many regions on an effective way. We would have the pages with 3-8 regions on each page and it would bee very suitable do have the functionality which is used in APEX Application builder where it is possible to show all regions on the page and then bee able to scroll through all regions on the page.
But also bee able to user #ANCHOR_NAME at the end of the URL and then just switch to one of the regions (show just one region on the page).
I have made a test page with use of #ANCHOR_NAME and this is ok, but i don't know how to just hide all other regions when you navigate to the anchor name. In application builder it is very nice when you navigate between regions and when you hit the "Show All" link, all regions is displayed on the same page.
I also need to have each region the same size in width as in Application Builder, and the theme used in Application builder would also bee nice to used (in another color) is it possible to have a copy of the theme and make some adjustments to it ?.
I would bee very greatfull for any feed back about this subject. I am going to make a demonstration 19 Descember.

The Builder links you mention at the top of the Component Definition pages use markup like

You can review it at http://htmldb.oracle.com/i/javascript/htmldb_html_elements.js. The DOM nodes that the function uses are specific to the Builder page template, but the code is fairly generic enough that you can adapt it to meet your needs. [Not sure what your comfort and experience level with Javascript is]
That function also saves the selected region/section in a client-side cookie so that it persists the next time you visit the page.

Execution of a planning function with the used dimension values in a crosstab

would like to execute planning functions within Design Studio but I don't really know how I combine this execution with the used dimension values in a crosstab for the .
Here the requirement:
3 Planning functions which should use the same filter (all values of all dimensions in the crosstab) and which should run one after another:
// open data slice
PF_1.execute();
// generate combinitions
PF_2.execute();
// close data slice
PF_3.execute();

Hi Arun,
in general it is not possible to nest planning functions. The inner function would update the data in the plan buffer without the outer function knowing about it. Also the inner function might be on a different aggregation level which would make things very tricky.
Alternatively you can include ABAP logic into a FOX formula:

Or just create the complete logic in one ABAP planning function type.

My requirement is as follows,
For the purchase requisition lines that are copied to the purchase order, the same information should be determined and transferred as if the standard SAP program ME57 were being used. There should be a standard SAP function module that will achieve this(converting the pur requisation to purchase order). The requisition lines should each be linked to a Purchasing Info Record, so some information will be derived from there, or from the Vendor master or Material master records.
so, do u guys hv any idea that, Which Function module is using by SAP in Tx of ME 57, for converting purchase requisation to pur order?

Hi Chetan,
The variants for a report will be stored in the table <b>VARI</b>.
Give your variant name to the field VARI-VARIANT and it will give the report name in the field VARI-REPORT.
If you have same variant for the other reports, then it will shows the list of reports which the same variant name.

I'd like to create a function which returns multiple values that can then be used in an SQL Select statement's IN( ) clause
Currently, the select statement is like (well, this is a very simplified version):
select application, clientid
from tbl_apps, tbl_status
where tbl_apps.statusid = tbl_status.statusid
and tbl_status.approved > 0;
I'd like to pull the checking of the tbl_status into a PL/SQL function so my select would look something like :
select application, clientid
from tbl_apps
where tbl_apps.statusid in (myfunction);
So my function would be running this sql:
select statusid from tbl_status where approved > 0;
... will return values 1, 5, 15, 32 (and more)
... but I haven't been able to figure out how to return the results so they can be used in SQL.

But how to identify which function module is used in which planning area?
I cant find out from the where used list from function modules?

Go to characteristic relationship tab,click on detail icon on extreme left of the derivation,there you will get the name and the details of function module used for derivation.

I am supppose to wire up a cluster to a callng library function thru the use of the "adapt to type" configuration.But the program lie in the data types in the struct.

i have call library function that contain two arguement,two inputs i mean.The first input is simply an int which can be easily matched by labview data type.The second input is declared as a structure which i match it thru a cluster by using the adapt to type means.
However,inside the structure there are four variables,two of which is PULONG and the other two is ULONG.Inside my cluster i can match the ULONG by a 32bit unsign integer labview data type but how can i match the PULONG with a labview data type?

I need some help with a function call i am using.
I have a SYSMAN function which i like to call in procedure.
The output from the function is a CLOB.
Executing the statement in SqlPlus returns 2 lines of data, but written into a procedure returns in an error.
The procedure looks like this:

and it returns 2 lines.
Running it as a procecure show's an error i don't understand.

I've been using an function which returns a ref cursor. I've been returning this into a java resultset. Fine!
Now i'm in plsql and want to use the same function. I'm not sure how to get this resultset in plsql.

It is not so clear to me what your are looking for. If you take a look here (as an example)

you will find a "documentation" of this function module.
I have copied only thee most important part here of the docu on this link:
"This is the central function module for linking the R/3 component Product Safety (EHS-SAF) to the R/3 component Sales and Distribution (SD). The function module is used to generate report shipping orders using data from SD. An example of a report is a material safety data sheet. "
The "inbook" in some "sense" is EHS and there transaction CVD1 and only if you have performed a correct EHS set up.
What "workflow inbox" are you looking for?? Those of the SAP SD messages ??
Could you please explain a little bit there you are "struggeling"?
