A simple BPEL process

Hi all,
I'm working on Petri Nets verification and I'm new to BPEL but I need a simple BPEL process to proceed and I'm running out of time.
The needed function in BPEL is a one that takes x and y and returns z=y/x.
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks.

That gave me a syntax error when I tried to parse it to PNML (Petri Net Markup Language) using BPEL2OWFN tool (http://www.gnu.org/software/bpel2owfn/). It said: syntax error , unexpected K_FROM.
I know this simple example process that I've used before:
+<process name="exampleprocess" targetNamespace="www.gnu.org/software/bpel2owfn">+
+<partnerLinks>+
+<partnerLink name="PL" partnerLinkType="PLT"+
myrole="exampleprocess" partnerRole="exampleuser" />
+</partnerLinks>+
+<sequence>+
+<receive partnerLink="PL" operation="req" createInstance="yes" />+
+<reply partnerLink="PL" operation="ack" />+
+</sequence>+
+</process>+
I need to plugin the function that gets 2 numbers and return z=x/y in that bpel code. The function must be a free one written in the code, and not a one got from another place (using <from> tage for example).
I hope I'm clear.
Thanks in advance.

    Hello All,

  • How to make a simple BPEL-process with database access

    I hope somebody can help me.
    I want to make a BPEL process that get a message via MEDIATOR. That message has to update a database table.
    So far as I know : start in composite with mediator - bpel process and database adaptor.
    What have to be done in the bpel process ?
    I hope somebody can help me, Thnx, Carel

    In a nutshell -
    Create a Database Adapter in the composite.xml UI. Drag a wire from BPEL process to that db adapter you just created. Go to BPEL process (double click), use invoke activity after the initial receive activity, and drag a wire to make the connection to the partner link on the right hand side swim lane (which is your DB Adapter).
    On doing that, you will be seeing the input/output variables generated in the Invoke Activity (should be of type expected by DB adapter).
    Next - drop an assign activity between Receive and Invoke and make the transformations from the "message from the mediator" to this Input Variable (created as part of the invoke activity).
    You are good to go!

  • BPEL Example Hello World not synchronous 'Building SImple BPEL Process'

  • How do I call a simple java class from a bpel process?

    Hi.
    In JDeveloper 10.1.4.3.0 I've created a simple java class that does an ftp get operation followed by an unzip. The class uses some 3rd part libraries (jars).
    I want to use a simple bpel process to schedule a daily execution of this java class, and deploy it all to our SOA-server, - and was looking into using the <bpelx:exec> function.
    The java class and the bpel process is all stored in the same JDeveloper project.
    How do I put this together so that both my java class and the necessary jars are available to the bpel process?
    I've looked into the JavaExecSample.bpel, and it's says something about "...the class com.otn.samples.javaexec.CreditCalculator is locally packaged with this BPEL process".
    How do I do that?
    Can I make it and test it all locally from my workstation (only JDeveloper installed, I guess there's nothing that can execute the bpel code?), or do I have to compile class etc (make war-file?) and deploy to SOA server (BPEL-INF/lib or classes?) before anything can be tested?
    (I guess all this is simple, once you know how, but being a newbie to this I need a shove in the right direction :-)
    Regards,
    -Haakon-

    To create a java class and dependent jars inside the BPEL process project you need to do the following:
    1. Right click on your BPEL process project and select New and then Java Class from the Items.
    2. Make the BPEL process project, JDeveloper would compile the java classes and add them into the BPEL suite case jar, see the output folder and check the BPEL suite case jar file for java classes and dependent jars.
    You can test your Java classes from JDeveloper IDE, no need to deploy the classes on SOA server. When you make the BPEL project it compiles .bpel files and Java classes. You can test your classes once .bpel file and java classes compiled successfully.

    This data comes from simple BPEL process where sensors are configured at the start and end of BPEL process. Also have a human task activity in between to create the time difference.
    In Enterprise link design studio, I tried to calculate the time difference using expression calculator and store it as calculated field. But that doesn't seems to work because when I execute the plan, second sensor data reaches only after human approval whereas first sensor data would be waiting for calculation and ultimately nothing comes into data object.
    How and where the calculation be done to show the processing time in the report. Please someone throw some light on this.
    Regards
    Jude.

    I would suggest modifying your data object so that the data can all be in a single row and use the sensor at the end of the process to upsert (update) the row created by the sensor at the start of the process. The time difference between two fields in the same row is then an easy calculation on a BAM report -- No EL plan should be needed.

    Please let me know in case anybody has faced this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi, it´s a little late, but it may help to someone else.
    I just got the same error on deployment and realized i was going through a proxy server, who was responding with a http 503 code to deployment request from JDeveloper. Just check your proxy settings under Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and proxy and add an exception if needed.
    I also had to restart JDeveloper (a bug?) after adding the exception to correct the issue.
    regards,
    Pedro.

  • Error while deploying BPEL Process

    Hi ,
    I am new to BPEL and learning it using dev guide. i am using JDev 10.1.2.0.0 with OAS.
    i build a simple BPEL process which uses a DB adapter for interaction with DB.
    My DB tables are not related to each other in any way.
    please help for resolving some problem:-
    Is it necessary to define relationship for table if i want to use some Select, Insert or say any operation those have run time parameter?
    For understanding i, then defined a self relationship of table like 1:1.but while deploying this process i got following error:

    Hi,
      Check if your wsdl endpoint can accessed properly. If yes, check the soap-binding address is properly pointing to the server hosting the webservice.

  • Unable to deploy a BPEL process with rules

    Hi All
    I created a very simple BPEL process and defined a business Rule in composite, that I call from within my BPEL process.
    I am however not able to deploy the project completely successfully.
    I am using JDEV 11g to build/deploy my projects on a SOA_Suite_11g. Note that I can deploy a project successfully if it does not have a business rule.

    Any ideas..
    Thanks

    "Too many open files" issue is most likely because of a (few) Sun JDK6 bug(s). These bugs may not even get fixed in JDK6. It could hit at runtime or compile time depending on the number of jar files getting used and/or a few other variations around the use of file descriptors at a time by the JDK/JRE. One can use "lsof -p <pid>" command on Linux and see how the File Descriptors are growing when this issue is seen. E.g. use the pid of junit java process and not the main Ant java process if you want to debug at runtime. For compile time, grep on the compiler process.
    Increasing the limit of file descriptors is used as a workaround.
    How to increase per-process per-user file descriptor limit on your Linux hosted box:
    Using "limit" (csh) or "ulimit" (bash) command find out what is the value of "descriptors". As a root user (use sudo) edit /etc/security/limits.conf file.
    Close your x term and re-open (or re-connect your NX client) for this change to take effect. System re-start should not be required. If you are not able to increase the limit for some reason using these steps, try a few other things like re-starting your VNC server (or something similar), re-start your Linux box.

  • Invoking webservice through bpel process

    Hi, I created a webservice for a java code. I created a simple bpel process to invoke the webservice. Its throwing below error when running the bpel process. I tested the webservice alone. it works fine. Any help is highly apreciated.
    Thanks, Ram....

    </part>

    I remember this being a bug in 10.1.2.0.2 - as somehow the servlet thinks the call would be for the bpel engine, instead of the webservice endpoint,
    so I recommend 2 things .. don/t name the operation default
    'http://wtus081806-6:9700/Hrinfo-java_test_1-context-root/default'
    and if this does not help, try to set optSOAPShortcut -> false on the BPEL Domain ..

  • Issue with Deploying and calling a BPEL process on ALBPM enterprise server

    Hi,
    I am trying to put in place a POC using Aqualogic BEA products (using ALBPM 5.7, Enterprise Server 5.7, ALSB 2.6, Weblogic App server 9.2). My goal is to put in place a simple BPEL process (using ALBPM) which would call a webservice exposed through ALSB. Two things here that might help to understand the problem better :
    1) As I understand the error is due to some issue while calling the BPEL process from the Fuego code.
    The Fuego code which call's the BPEL from the BPMN process is as follows :
    helloResponse as String = "someoutput"
    helloRequest as String = "someinput"
    sessionid as String
    // Starting a Session.
    // In case you are testing this in the Studio,
    // the password must be the same as the user
    startSession BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using user = "test",
    password = "test"
    returning sessionid = result
    // createTest is the name of the operation
    // in the exposed process.
    // In this case the process "ExposedProcess"
    // has a web service operation
    // called "createTest" that is a "Process Creation" type
    // and uses the Begin activity's argument set
    callHello BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using sessionId = sessionid,
    arg1 = helloRequest
    returning helloResponse = result
    // Closing the session
    discardSession BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using sessionId = sessionid
    display "The BPEL's response : " + helloResponse
    2) Further, I had catalogued the BPEL's wsdl to the location http://localhost:9000/fuegoServices/ws/ProcessServiceListener?WSDL while running the same in Studio, but while deploying on the enterprise server , I made this point to http://localhost:7001/fuegoServices/ws/ProcessServiceListener?WSDL Is this correct ?
    Any thought on this issue would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
    We are also facing a similar problem, while accessing an external webservice from a BPM process.
    Were you able to resolve this issue.
    If so, Could you please let us know the procedure that you followed to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Krishnaveni.

  • Unable to deploy BPEL Process --  Says If you have installed a patch to the

    I have a simple BPEL process that calles an ESB flow deployed in the same server.
    I am facing the following issue when trying to deploy the BPEL process.
    The ESB flow is deployed and is working perfectly.
    Configuration:
    JDeveloper 10.1.3.5
    SOA Suite 10g Release 3
    Downloaded from:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/index.html
    Here I downloaded this file:
    http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/ias/101310/soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip
    When I compile the BPEL project, it compiles fine:
    Compiling...
    Compiling C:\JDeveloper\10gMywork\OrderProcessingApp\OrderDistributionProcess\bpel\OrderDistributionProcess.bpel
    *[BPEL Compiler] Initializing compiler for first time use...*
    BPEL suitcase generated in: C:\JDeveloper\10gMywork\OrderProcessingApp\OrderDistributionProcess\output\bpel_OrderDistributionProcess_v2011_09_01__39889.jar
    copying bpel/OrderDistributionProcess.wsdl to output directory
    copying bpel/OrderSystem_OrderSearchService_RSRef.wsdl to output directory
    converting, through native2ascii, build.properties to output directory
    *[11:05:04 AM] Successful compilation: 0 errors, 0 warnings.*
    Now when I choose (Right Click on Project) -> Deploy -> BPEL Process Deployer,
    I get this error:
    Buildfile: C:\JDeveloper\10gMywork\OrderProcessingApp\OrderDistributionProcess\build.xml

    Balu,
    it seems you are trying to deploy example for B2B. Please check your B2B is up, AQ are up and accessible and you can also check your SOA dehydration DB .
    You can check some setup and dexample at: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/b2b/pdf/B2B_TU_001_B2B_BPEL.pdf
