How to make a simple BPEL-process with database access

I hope somebody can help me.
I want to make a BPEL process that get a message via MEDIATOR. That message has to update a database table.
So far as I know : start in composite with mediator - bpel process and database adaptor.
What have to be done in the bpel process ?
I hope somebody can help me, Thnx, Carel

In a nutshell -
Create a Database Adapter in the composite.xml UI. Drag a wire from BPEL process to that db adapter you just created. Go to BPEL process (double click), use invoke activity after the initial receive activity, and drag a wire to make the connection to the partner link on the right hand side swim lane (which is your DB Adapter).
On doing that, you will be seeing the input/output variables generated in the Invoke Activity (should be of type expected by DB adapter).
Next - drop an assign activity between Receive and Invoke and make the transformations from the "message from the mediator" to this Input Variable (created as part of the invoke activity).
You are good to go!

  • How to start BPEL process with publishing initiation form designed in ADF

    Hii All,
    Can Anyone please tell me how to Start my BPEL process with publishing initiation forms designed in ADF fusion.
    I am using JDevloper 11g and Oracle SOASuite 11g toolset in windows platform.
    Thankx in Advance,
    Deekay.

    Hi,
    I assume you mean the JMS example under the $OH BPEL examples area. Unfortunately, this only shows how to get a BPEL process kicked off by awaiting a JMS message - but there is no test code there! There are specific examples which show off the testing framework facilities but it appears that all the examples which use async type of interactions are in the middle of a process which is kicked off by a normal synchronous client interaction.
    Any further help much appreciated.
    Colin.

    "Too many open files" issue is most likely because of a (few) Sun JDK6 bug(s). These bugs may not even get fixed in JDK6. It could hit at runtime or compile time depending on the number of jar files getting used and/or a few other variations around the use of file descriptors at a time by the JDK/JRE. One can use "lsof -p <pid>" command on Linux and see how the File Descriptors are growing when this issue is seen. E.g. use the pid of junit java process and not the main Ant java process if you want to debug at runtime. For compile time, grep on the compiler process.
    Increasing the limit of file descriptors is used as a workaround.
    How to increase per-process per-user file descriptor limit on your Linux hosted box:
    Using "limit" (csh) or "ulimit" (bash) command find out what is the value of "descriptors". As a root user (use sudo) edit /etc/security/limits.conf file.
    Close your x term and re-open (or re-connect your NX client) for this change to take effect. System re-start should not be required. If you are not able to increase the limit for some reason using these steps, try a few other things like re-starting your VNC server (or something similar), re-start your Linux box.

  • How to change a Async BPEL process into Sync bpel process

    Hi All,
    Can we change a bpel process which has been created by choosing the template as Asynchronous BPEL Process and after my requirement has
    been changed i want to change my bpel process into synchronous bpel process. Is it possible to change the process or else we have to delete the whole process and once again we have to create a bpel process with synchronous template.
    IF it possible to change the process from Async to sync how. is there any demo link on this. If possibel can anyone share a link on this.
    Regards,
    CH

    Diff between ASYNC & SYNC
    Composite.xml
    SYNC: In service part in only interface.wsdl & binding.ws will be there
    ASYNC: in service part interface.wsdl & binding.ws and one more callback binding.ws is there.
    In .BPEL FILE
    SYNC: In Partner Link name, partnerLinkType, MyRole will be there .
    ASYNC: In partner Link name ,partnerLinkType,MyRole,Partner Role also will be there.
    *.WSDL File*
    SYNC: in portType Input & Output both are there , in partnerLinkType only one role is there i.e Requester Role no provider.
    ASYNC: in portType only Input will there,in PartnerLinkType two roles will be there ProviderRole n Requester Role.
    Also change the activity in the BPEL from Reply to Invoke in the end.
    Respective to your requirements you can change your BPEL to Sync/ASync.
    I hope it will help.

  • How to make a simple Quiz?

    Could anyone help me with some hints and maybe sample code (or tutorial :)) how to make a simple quiz, with multiple
    answers choices, and a score function.
    //D

    You could for example do it like this:
    import java.io.*;
    class Quiz
    public static void main (String [] args)
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(System.in));
    System.out.println("SUPERQUIZ");
    System.out.println("How many legs does a horse have?");
    System.out.println();
    System.out.println("1");
    System.out.println("2");
    System.out.println("3");
    System.out.println("4");
    int answer = Integer.parseInt(in.readLine());
    if (answer == 4)
    System.out.println("The answer is correct");
    else
    System.out.println("The answer is incorrect");
    This is just a basic program, hope you understand it (hopefully it works).

  • How to make the mobile application work with firewall and anti-virus ON

    Hi,
    I keep on receiving internal processing error when i try to login sap mobile solution 1.3.0 on my ipad and i was provided a solution, that is to turn off my firewall and antivirus. I works by turn off both of it but i cant possible turn of the firewall and antivirus on the server.
    Can anyone guide me how to make the mobile application work with firewall and anti-virus ON
    Thank you

    Dear Rajesh,
    Create a policy in your fire wall to allow the port to send and receive data.
    I believe the port for the mobile should be port 8080 and 8443.
    And your license server port 30000 and 30001

  • How to call a Asynchronous bpel process from a PLSQL procedure?

    How to call a Asynchronous bpel process from a PLSQL procedure?

    Hi,
    You could do something smart and technical very spiffy with soap-stacks in the database and/or dbms_ws/dbms_http. But I allways find AQ with AQ-adapter the simplest. Let Pl/sql enqueue a message on an aq-queue and subscribe an aq-adapter process on it. That can call your async-bpel process. If you want to get answer back in pl/sql, let the aq-adapter process enqueue a response message on another queue or on the same queue with another consumer name. Give it a correlation-id that you provided in the payload of your request message. Your pl/sql process can then do a dequeue on that correlation-id. It will sit and wait until a message with that correlation id is enqueued on the queue.

  • How to make a two-way process to one-way process?

    Hi,
    How to make a two-way process to one-way process?
    My requirement is:
    1. I have developed an asynchronous BPEL process, and I am calling a PL/SQL procedure using a DB adapter.
    2. The property "syncMaxWaitTime"=120 seconds in domain.xml.
    3. The partner lnk is one-way operation and it takes more than 120 secons.
    4. So my process throws TimeOut error and the transaction will be rolled back.
    5. If the transaction is rolled back then the instance will not appear in the console.
    6. The wired thing is the call to DB is actually doing the complete task successfully even it takes more than 120 sec.
    7. Is there a way where I can handle this Timeout exception and bring the transaction to complete normailly?
    What I am expecting a solution like [http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01//integrate.1013/b28981/events.htm].
    I tried this example, but in my process I am not getting onResult operation as my process is one-way process? Is there a way where I can make this a two-way operation, after taht I will try to use the Pick activity as shown in the above example.
    --Khaleel

    Hi Khaleel,
    Please refer 122.DBAdapter/advanced/endToEnd/DirectSQLPerformance/README.txt in bpel/samples/tutorials.
    See the "A-Sync to Synchronous " section to convert the asynchronous process initiated by DB adapter to a Synchronous process.
    In your case the problem can be solved by creating a synchronous BPEL process and invoke the asynchronous process initiated by DB adapter in it. You can add the pick activity in the synchronous BPEL process to monitor the timeout.

    The Oracle documentation has a good overview of the options available
    Generating XML Data from the Database
    Without knowing your version, I just picked 11.2, so you made need to look for that chapter in the documentation for your version to find applicable information.
    You can also find some information in XML DB FAQ

  • A simple BPEL process

    Hi all,
    I'm working on Petri Nets verification and I'm new to BPEL but I need a simple BPEL process to proceed and I'm running out of time.
    The needed function in BPEL is a one that takes x and y and returns z=y/x.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    That gave me a syntax error when I tried to parse it to PNML (Petri Net Markup Language) using BPEL2OWFN tool (http://www.gnu.org/software/bpel2owfn/). It said: syntax error , unexpected K_FROM.
    I know this simple example process that I've used before:
    +<process name="exampleprocess" targetNamespace="www.gnu.org/software/bpel2owfn">+
    +<partnerLinks>+
    +<partnerLink name="PL" partnerLinkType="PLT"+
    myrole="exampleprocess" partnerRole="exampleuser" />
    +</partnerLinks>+
    +<sequence>+
    +<receive partnerLink="PL" operation="req" createInstance="yes" />+
    +<reply partnerLink="PL" operation="ack" />+
    +</sequence>+
    +</process>+
    I need to plugin the function that gets 2 numbers and return z=x/y in that bpel code. The function must be a free one written in the code, and not a one got from another place (using <from> tage for example).
    I hope I'm clear.
    Thanks in advance.
