I hope someone can help.
I published a site with the first podcst episode using iweb.It went through onto iTunes bo problem so all`s good... so today I put together the 2nd episode, submit it to itunes as before...up comes the `..please provide the link to the podcast RSS feed ...' etc
Podcast Feed URL:http://rss.mac.com/jubemeg/iWeb/Bandwagon/podcast/rss.xml is the address I`m given as with the first episode, I press continue and ....Unfortunatly THE FEED HAS ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED.Course it has! Help!
I have looked through the tech specs and I cant make head nor tail of it can someone help me in real basic layman language!

Jules, it's a simple problem with a simple fix. (and it drove me nuts too)
Publish to .Mac (or your server if it's different)... then PING itunes to let them know to go look for new content on your server (or .Mac). You PING iTunes by cutting and pasting the url addy below into safari and clicking return. You'll get an error message, don't worry, it's supposed to happen. About an hour later, maybe a bit longer, your new episode will be available.
DONT submit your podcast by selecting the "SUBMIT PODCAST TO ITUNES" menu selection again. That command is for your first submission, not your subsequent ones. Think of your podcast as a book. And each episode is a chapter. When you ping iTunes, they go get the whereabouts of the new chapter and make it available for the world to come and read, hear, or watch.

Your feed ID number is in your original email from the itunes folks when they sent you your acceptance email and said that your podcast was now up and running on the ITMS.

PackageMaker (Simple problem I'm sure)
Hi everyone -
Getting my feet wet playing around with PackageMaker, and there's one thing that doesn't make sense to me. How do you install to the "Users" directory without knowing the user's name? I can select a content piece in the left column, and in the right I can choose between an absolute or relative path to the destination (which is a folder inside /Users/[username]/), but it's using my username. How can this be dynamically written?

Message was edited by: domineydesignThe PackageMaker UI is a complete mystery to me. Somehow, with version 3.0.1, they have managed to take a difficult to use product and make it even worse. So, I can't really help with the User Interface.
If you use the command line version, it goes from incomprehensible to only virtually unusable. On the command line, specify "--domain user". The man page says to use "--domain home" but that is wrong. On the command line, you can specifiy the root and the user domain and the software should be installed in the user's home directory. If you successfully get it to use the user domain, it shouldn't ask for an admin password. It will require the user to logout when the installer finishes. There is no way around that.
You can specificy "--domain user --domain system" and you can choose to "Install for all users of this machine" or "Install just for me". Regardless of the option you choose, you will have to enter an admin password. There is no way around that. At least you won't have to log out.
Unfortunately, it is not a simple answer. Feel free to read the installer-dev Apple mailing list. Those people know far more about PackageMaker than I do and they have no idea how to use it.

Grahamthat's right, the 1009 is being caused because at the point
where the 'return' is in the getColor method, at the time when the
call is made randomX and randomY have not yet been defined. I
should have realized that in the first place :D and RR is right,
it's much better to define the handler as a method of the class,
rather than a 'nested' function.
one thing that's still causing problems here - you are using
the class to actually 'load' the image - it seems like the class
should only 'target' an existing instance of the image (loader) and
find the pixel value. in this case you could use the 'return'
method to instantly 'grab' a pixel value - but as it is there is a
delay while the image gets loaded, then 'finds' the pixel value.
the problem here is that in the timeline you are asking for an
'instant' return value - see the problem :)
so, it seems to me that there are a couple of ways to go
about it -
1) instantiate the image load 'outside' the class and then
use the class to target a random pixel 'after' the load is
completed
2) pass the variable instance to the class so that when the
onComplete handler fires it assigns the value to the variable on
the timeline.
however in 2) there will still be a 'delay' in the
processing, so the variable will not get defined for 'a little
while' this may cause other problems in the operating code if you
wish to use the value an time soon (by that i mean in terms of
'program speed' which may only be milliseconds - but can be enough
to cause other errors)
I would go with the first option - keeping the class specific
to 'getting the color' and do the loading outside the class - or
even with another class. I would use the onComplete handler on the
timeline to call the ColorGetter class method getColor() and pass
the loader instance to that method, construct a quick bmp, and find
the value.
Your class structure looks pretty good - although i think
that you should place the import statements outside the class
definition within the package, as is common - and you should
specify the 'var' types with either 'public' or 'private'
as far as the 'return' type goes - whenever you designate a
'return' statement that passes a value back to the calling
statement, the 'type' must be designated in place of 'void' - this
tells the compiler to operate the code and assign the value being
returned to the variable where the call was made. -
Running so slow its driving me crazy!!
i finally got my mac up and running with the new 300mb seagate harddrive, but its driving me crazy how slow it is. even if i open up system preferences, it takes almost a minute to pop up.
what can I do? a semi-professional looked at it and was guessing the processor is just slow. it is the dual processor 1mghz. he took out a ram card a couple months ago - i had bought an extra 256mb (i'm hoping these are right - i'm recalling off the top of my head) and left it in a plastic bag. okay to put it back in? what dangers could that cause?
please - any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In my Iphone 5, Nothing on my App Store is working, its displaying blank (Except for Genius section). I've tried to uninstall and install itunes and all its component in my desktop but still it doesn't fix the app store issue. Not sure if its problem with apple servers. Someone help please!
settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!

Hi if you seen my previous post, or you might have not. My safari app isn't working and the setting for safari in setting insn't responding. I reset all setting hoping this would work and fix the problem. However, i held both the home and off button because i didn't want to do the reset anymore because i was stuck at one place for a long time. the reset with the home did happen, but the resetting all setting is still happening and progress bar hasn't move. Im not sure if its stuck or if its just taking a while.

i bought my iphone 4 through ebay and its unlocked. the problem is that my phone does not sync straight away. I sync my music file through autofill. I want to sync ringtones but its not working.
I saw cidya aap so i m not sure if it was jailbroken or not before but it is back to normal settings.
My problem started when I tried to sync my music files. I pressed 'sync' all it says is waiting for sync start, preparing to sync and then waiting for the changes to be applied. but it does not sync at all.
I found a way to sync my music files through autofill but I really wanted to sync ringtones but its not syncing and I really wanted to put ringtones in my phone please help.If you see the cidya app, your iPhone is hacked with the cutsie term for this being jailbroken. This also means all the built in security has been removed making the iPhone as insecure as an android device.
Restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup to get rid of that hacking garbage. If the iPhone has hacked to be unlocked, the iPhone will no longer be unlocked when doing so. -
Ever since i plugged my iphone into the computer, all of my music has been messed up. The songs don't have the right album cover i guess they all just got mixed up somehow. i dont know but its annoying and im not sure how to fix it.

i have just subscribed for a monthly billing for my acrobat pro XI, the problem is i have clicked on the link on the email that have sent me to activate it but its still not allowing me to acess this and see my PDF's, how to i activate my new license?
Can you explain the problem in more detail - "not allowing me to access" isn't clear to me. If you get any errors, please give the full wording. If you just don't seem to have any useful functions under TOOLS, make sure you are NOT still running Adobe Reader.

I tried to partition him using bootcamp but didn't have mac os cd neither mac instalation. the problem i am dealing now its that i cant go back to OS partition since its not appeared when i restart c and no win drivers to have a properly running system. I've thought as an option to re-download boot-camp and run the instalation from windows partition and see if i can repair it that way, didnt try yet thought just in case anyone has a better prposition or dealed with the same problem
Take it to your local Apple Store or AASP, it's covered by a 1 year hardware warranty. If you have AppleCare then give them a call but I'm pretty sure they will advise the same. If you have not purchased AppleCare yet please do, this will extend the warranty to 3 years however it MUST be purchased within the first year of ownership. Let it go 366 days and you are out of luck. AppleCare will also include telephone support too.

ollowing problem: I have around 600 contacts on my iphone and Ipad and would like to sync with contact list on my mac book air but its not working and whatever I do I get stuck on the 44 contacts I have on my mac contact-list. Please Help!!!! thanks
First, be sure that the contacts on the devices are in the "icloud" section and not the "On my iPhone" (or iPad) section of the contact listings/groups.
Missing contacts:
Here's a test to perform - using a computer's browser, log into icloud.com and go to the Contacts page. If most of them are gone, then they are gone.
If they show up, then the problem is that your device is not connecting to the Contacts database on icloud.
On the device, go to Settings>icloud. Be sure icloud is on and using the right ID. If not, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Account - this just disconnects the device from that account, no data is lost. Then log back in using the correct ID. ALSO - be sure the Contacts are turned on (on the same screen).
Note: Contacts are not part of an iCloud backup, since they are part of contacts database on iCloud's servers. So performing a restore will not help.

Then they have been deleted. There are many reasons for this. One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device. How to get them back? Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases. Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac). Just restore the data files back to the computer. Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone. -
Updated but not sure if its right
i updated my firmware version for my N97 from 10.0.012 > 11.0.021 but im not sure if its right, when i do *#0000# it shows my new version of the software, but my internal memory stays intact, i did not lose any files(even though i did a backup) is that alright? did any of u guys have the memory wipedout after the update? help pls asap im very new to this

It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID. -

We had a MacBook Pro stolen from our home when we were out of town and I am pretty sure we never activated the LoJack type of function on it not sure if its called lojack but you get what I am saying is there any way we can activate such hardware/app now so we can possibly recover our laptop? Any one who can point us in the right direction that would be great and we would be very grateful. I have a 15inch Macbook Pro that has recently been acting wacky. It feels like someone else is controlling my computer but all my sharing featured are turned off and i have my firewall on so i doubt its being remote controlled. Using my cursor is a constant battle. Sometimes its fine other times it won't cooperate. At random times the cursor will move and highlight a word and define it. YES Define the highlighted word. While on safari it'll randomly zoom in on the webpage im on, and contiue to highlight and try to switch pages. It'll switch from desktop to dashboard on its own as well as make my launch pad disappear and reaapear. without me touching it at all. SOMEONE HELP !
There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not apply in your case.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
3. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
4. Reset the System Management Controller.
5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
6. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
7. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.
