Hi Rahul
( 1)  If u release a request its show in cofile & data file.if request is cofile & data file You go STMS -> import Overview-> double click on sid ->Import Queue Then Extra->Other Request-----> Add Request Then You enter request number and add the request in import queue. Now you import request click truck icon
OR
(2) you create or define route and request is show on import queue then u  import the request   clicking on trunk icon

  • TMS issue

    Hi All,
We have 2 system landscape till yesterday everything was working fine but since today morning in STMS of development system production system is not coming and in production system dev system is not showing .......and both system are showing as domain controllers.
please suggest the way to resolve this problem.
    Regards,
    Prashant.

    Hello Prashant,
As suggested by Vamshi first you can try to roll back the transport routes version :
Goto transaction STMS_PATH and then Configuration-->Get another version. Choose the last working version. here also check if the route between development and production is visible.
In  order to delete domain controller relationship just go to STMS_DOM. Select the domain controller and try deleting it. Before that delete any other systems  present in the view (though I think there should be none).
    Regards.

  • Restarting of SAP PRD server

    Dear Team,
We are facing a issue with PRD server.
For last 20 days we restarted the PRD server for 3 times.
1)We restarted the server for TMS issue which is advised by SAP support team in one incident.
2)Another time we restarted the server for the issue in Procedure cache problem in DB which is also advised by SAP support team in another incident.
3)today server is restarted due to VMWare (physical server) problem.
Now i have one doubt how frequently we can restart the server and is there any future issues with this restarting of server.
Please give suggestions on this because this is very critical to us.
Frequently we are restarting the server production server.
    Thanks&regards,
    Patan Thavaheer.

    Hi Patan,
Now i have one doubt how frequently we can restart the server and is there any future issues with this restarting of server.
There is no impact on server restart if application and db is shutdown gracefully.
Secondly there are no guidelines for how frequently servers can be restarted.
Please investigate further on the ongoing issue to find out RCA of the issue.

  • STMS: RFC error: Error when opening an RFC connection

    Hello ,
I was wondering if you could help me with this TMS issue.
The transport system is not working properly.
    The fallowing error is shown:
Could not start transport control program tp
RFC error: Error when opening an RFC connection
There was an attempt to start the transport control program tp using the local RFC interface. An error occurred here.
      Error code: 3
RFC error text: Error when opening an RFC connection
    Meaning of the error codes:
      03  RFC system failure
      04  RFC communication failure
    System Response
The function terminates. Details about the error can be found in the trace file of the Gateway Monitor (SMGW).
    Procedure
Contact your system administrator or use report RSTPTEST to localize the error. You can then execute the command again.
When I test the tp tools:
tp Call and RFC Ping: Error when opening an RFC connection
Another thing would be that when testing the RFC connection CALLTP_Linux I have the error:
ERROR: user XXX  is not authorized to start TP /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS53/exe
And I have to say that the user has maximum authorizations.
I also checked the permissions of the tp at OS level but everything seems to be ok.
Can you help me with this?
    BR,
    Manoliv

    Dear Manoliv,
Firstly please check if you have enough space in /usr/sap/trans file system.
If OK, please run RSTPTEST report from SE38 and check the log file in SMGW => Goto => Trace => Gateways => Display file
    and paste the log here.
Also, I assume filesystem permissions are OK.
    Regards,
    Sujit.

  • TMS 14.3.2 - No HTTPS Response from devices (again) - Looks like permissions issues (but possibly down to NetBIOS over TCP/IP)

    Hi All,
Sometime ago I posted regarding an issue I was seeing on our TMS , where most of the remote devices seemingly showed up as loosing remote connection (no HTTPS Response - https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12290956/tms-lost-https-communciation-devices-not-really). However, I could not figure out the root cause of the error, and now I have managed to break things again - probably due to a Java upgrade which broke TMSPE (see https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12404166/looks-latest-update-java-8-update-31-will-break-tmspe-11).
However, I thought I would look at little more closely this time to see if I could figure out the problem.
I am seeing a lot of entries in the Security Log in TMS that seem to indicated that my the account used from a TMSPE connection has a bad or invalid password (this is set in "Administrative Tools --> Configuration --> Provisioning Extension Settings", but this password is correct (I can log into TMS with this account, and reset and restarted services etc).
The computer attempted to validate the credentials for an account.

I just wanted to check this like file/folder NTFS permissions, or any specific IIS permission . Is there a list of NTFS folder permissions for which the TMS required with regard to the "IIS APPPOOL", and perhaps what may need to be check in IIS?
Oddly, the error list above refers the our "TMSPEConnect" account from the TMS domain, however this is incorrect - TMS is the machine name. Still we ARE seeing similar error which reference the actual domain name, such as:

    Hi all,
After a long a fraught weekend trying to fix things, I am not that much further on, but I am beginning to understand what it isn't........ I think :(
It looks as though the "DatabaseScanning" service, or anything that runs under the credentials of the "nt authority\network service" seems to have a problem.
The Audit log show lot of entries where services such as"TMSWebPublic" running under the ISS Application pool "tmsnet40apppool", and actions launched under our own credential appear to communicate just fine with the device, only for the 'network service' to time out the connection a short while later. The same goes for some (not all) of the Phone book updates, which also looks as though it runs under the credentials of the 'Network Service' account.

However, I still don't know at this point is this is related to the actual TMS front end, something to do with the domain and policies that have been applied to TMS, or the actual database, or even just communication with the back end database??? I did try running the services under a domain user (service) account, but then ran into other issues as I couldn't log into TMS.
BTW, removing TMS, and IIS and reinstalling did fix my second issue relating to the 'Communication Errors'.

  • Issues while assigning TMS e.t.c in Nakisa Succession Planning VSN3.0SP2

    Hi,
    In Nakisa Succession Planning VSN3.0SP2
First I clicked on My Org Units and selected the required My Org Units and when I tried to assign TMS (by entering position and depth and then clicked on the Icon ADD)in the right pane, after some time (after processing) the screen refreshes and goes back to Position Details screen in right pane but the left pane remains same (My Org Units). But when I click on the same selected My OrgUnits (in My Org Units) again in the left pane, the right pane goes back to Org Unit details where it shows the TMS which i assigned.
Like this it happens for all. Say when I go to My employees and work on it like Set as Successor same issue happens the right pane shows position details as before. But when I click on the left pane it shows the Successor set.
So whenever an action happens (like Assigning TMS, Set Successor, Assign to Job Family, Add Development Plan e.t.c) and after clicking on the ADD ICON, the right pane goes back to position details. So Everytime I have to refresh the screen by clicking the left pane whenever after finishing each action.
Is it due to time for processing each action (hardly it takes 30 sec to process like Assigning a TMS e.t.c).?
    Regards,
    Xavier.

    Hi Xavier,
This sounds like an application bug, since it shouldn't do this. I know of a similar issue in OrgModeler SP2. Does this only occur in the Flex mode?
My recommendation would be to open an OSS message.
    Best regards,
    Luke

  • Codian 4520 and TMS 14.4.2 conference extend issue

    Hello,
We are coming across issue not being able to extend a call in TMS.  All endpoints are available and there is nothing booked.  15 mins prior to the end time, we receive the message on screen it prompts to extend the call.  We extend the call for 15 mins. 15 mins later, we get another prompt to extend the call for next 15 mins.  TMS shows the new extended time and everything looks normal.  Then at 1 min remaining in the call (first 15 extend), the audio message comes saying the video is about to end in 1 min and the a minute later the call ends.
Is there any work around this as we are able to extend for only 15 mins.  The 2nd extension looks OK in TMS with new end time, but it still disconnects.
Codian 4520 is running SW version 4.4
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Amrit

I've never had an issue with extending conferences using TMS and an MCU.  Because they changed the TMS extend conference modes in 14.4, are you using endpoint prompt or automatic best effort?  Do you see anything in the MCU event log at the time TMS extends the conference, where the conference gets updated with a new end time?
Note: Your question would be better off in the TelePresence section of the forums, where these devices are more actively discussed and people can help get you the answers you need.  You can move your question to the correct section by editing it and changing the categories at the bottom.

  • TMS 14.6 Add Recurrence Issues

    Hi,
I am having issues with TMS 14.6 and adding recurrences to meetings. Occasionally we have issues with this menu not displaying. You click on the button and the booking page seems to reload itself (keeping its inputted content) but the overlay of the recurrence menu doesn't appear. You try it on another PC (same configuration) and it works fine. Our primary browser is IE10 but I've also tried FF.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour before? We're fairly new to 14.6 (we've come from 13.2 where it was a separate IE window that opened). Its not a major issue as we don't have too many recurring meetings but its annoying when the users think they cannot do it for themselves.
    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi Patrick,
Yeah it is a weird one, I've got the helpdesk to setup 10 PC's for me (a mix of new and old user ones) and I've only had 1 misbehave. I think I have narrowed it down to a problem between Java and IE (why it has an affect on the booking page I cant explain) but if I delete any applications and downloaded files associated with the TMS server, and clear the IE/FF cache, it seems to work flawlessly and the issues don't come back. Clearing just the IE/FF cache gets it working again for a short period of time but it does stop again.
On the plus side this does speed up conference control center if they have access to it. The new version of the application that gets downloaded works a whole lot better than the 13.2.2 version that seems to stick around.
Chrome didn't seem to have an issue out of the box on a fresh installation, but we don't use Chrome so I couldn't find a machine from a user who uses TMS that also had Chrome to test with.
    Thanks
    Alex

  • TMS server and WinSXS - HD space issues

I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem with disk space on their TMS servers?  I'm running TMS 14.4.2 on a virtual server, and my hard drive is filling up with various files.  I have gone in an deleted some old software versions from the TMS folder, but the big culprit is my Windows directory!  It is currently at 25GB and growing - inetpub and winsxs are the problem folders.
Various windows forums say that there isn't anything you can do about the files in winsxs, and Cisco TAC advised me to carefully remove some files from the inetpub folder (subfolder Logs).  Am I the only one having these issues?
The TMS installation guide states that only 4GB of disk space is required for the application footprint, but doesn't say what the recommended harddrive size is.  Let me clarify this, however - I'm using an external SQL database - NOT local.
My TMS server has been acting odd lately, and I have had to restart some services from time to time, or do a full reboot.  I'm quite certain that my VM server is running as per Cisco's recommendations:
Cisco TMS can be installed in a virtualized server environment as long as the virtual machine is allocated
sufficient dedicated resources to meet the server and hardware requirements for installation. The resources
allocated to the Cisco TMS server instance must be dedicated, and not shared with other server instances.
My OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Service Pack 1., 7GB RAM, Intel Xeon CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60 GHz 2.60 GHz, 64 bit.
If you have any feedback or suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Would be interesting to know which HD size you provisioned and how much free space you have left now. I always recommend around or more than 100GB for the C: drive then you most like have no stress.
Storage is cheap, trouble you have now is stressful.
Many strange symptoms of TMS can be fixed by deinstalling and reinstalling TMS (and TMSPE if used) connecting the same DBs afterwards
As you use an external database, what you could do is to stop the old TMS, install a new windows server and TMS and then reconnect to the same database. If you do not trust you windows nor the TMS install.
(also possibe, deinstall tms on the old one, resize the partition, reinstall TMS).
This guide is a bit older but might help you here as well:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/108271/migrating-telepresence-management-suite-tms-new-serverpdf
Sure, strangeness of TMS could also be an issue with the DB, OS, something in your network, ...

  • Cannot include PRD into newly created TMS domain - TMSADM password issue

I have just completed a system copy DEV to a new server.  I have been able to include our QAS system into this domain without issue.  However, PRD has many password complexity requirements (digits, etc).  When I attempt to have PRD join the domain I receive the message
The password must contain at least 1 digits (0-9)
An easy technical solution would be to take down PRD to disable those requirements, include in the domain then put them back - not easy to scheduled production downtime.
I've been reading through various posts/notes and I think I must be missing something --- there must be an easier solution to this?

That was a long few hours....I attempted to implement the note to get things to work and I perceive that it would work if all the systems were already in the domain.  My issue was that DEV and QAS (that did not have complex password settings) were working, but PRD (that had them) could not join the domain.
I tried setting DEV and QAS to having complex passwords, deleted all RFCs, TMSADM users and started from scratch.  I could never get QAS to actually work - kept locking TMSADM in DEV (the domain controller).
In the end I reset the note (i.e. I took the row out of the table) and took the PRD downtime to fix the issue.
I suppose the bigger questions is --- is there a 'best practice' on how to cleanly move a system that is a domain controller?

  • TMS Export phonebook issue

    Hi all,
I work on TMS version 14.5 and I would to export my system phonebook to file, so I followed the section "Exporting contacts to a file" described in Cisco TMS Admin Guide 14.5:
    1. Create a phone book .
    2. Click Connect for this phone book.
    3. Select the sources you want to export contacts from.
    4. For Update Type for these sources, select either Import to Cisco TMS or Import to Cisco TMS and Export to phone book source.
    5. Now select the File Based Phone Book source you want to export to.
    6. For Update Type for this source, select Import to Cisco TMS and Export to Phone Books Source.
The problem is when arraving at step 6 I found only I couldn't find "Import to Cisco TMS and Export to Phone Books Source" option, only "Import to TMS"  or  "Search Only" ? I don't know if it's about to export to the file and where can I find it ?
In attachment you can find screenshot.
    Thanks for your help.
    Sofiane

    Hi sofiane__
I have to say that this is the most idiosyncratic and non-intuitive things I have come across in a long while, although once you get your head round it, you can kind of see the programmers logic (although they could have made this real simple).
You need to have a Phone Book SOURCE that is of a "File Based Phone Book", then you must select that as one of the sources in you Phone Book, and set that to "Import and Export". All the other Phone Book sources are set to import within that PhoneBook..
The Exported CSV file will then appear on the TMS Server (somewhere like "C:\Program Files (x86)\TANDBERG\TMS\wwwTMS\data\ExternalSourceFiles"), and will not be the same has the file you might have used to setup the File Based Phone Book in the first place.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers

  • Jabber client using local TMS/VCS account

I have TMS configured for both AD and local accounts for Jabber accounts. Once I added the AD accounts i could no longer authenticate using the local accounts. Is there a way to use both local and AD authencation for jabber?
    Thanks
    RB

    Thanks for the response.
You are correct.  The error occurs over time after a user has logged into the client.  We've had a variety of issues with with out VCS/TMS/Jabber deployment so it's hard to pinpoint exactly when this started to occur, but it was working at one point.  If i recall corrrectly, this started to crop up after we had to rebuild our provisioning database after an OpenDS failure on the TMS server.  TMS agent diagnostics (both local and for VCSc) complete without error currently.  The error received by a client when searching for an entry that is known to exist is 'no exact match in phonebook'.  Here is a screenshot of all settings we are currently provisioning.....

    Hi,
We need to replace our quality server with a new one. While configuring TMS,with the new replacement of our quality server,we are facing an error.
Our development server is the domain controller and we have added our new QA and then deleted the old system and previous TMS configuration. But after deleting the configuration in our Production also,we get an error while adding it in the landscape.
Password should contain atleast 2 numericals(0-9) for TMSADM.We changed and tried but of no use.
Our password is welcome@01 which goes as per the password exception table.
Can anyone help us in resolving this issue.Do we need to change the parameters and restart the system?Or is there any resolution like unlocking any table etc.
Please help.Early response would be of great help as our landscape is affected.

    Hi Sudheer,
Make sure the client id open
in client other than 000 open table TMSCROUTE using SE11 and create following entry.
    sysname = ,ADMPWD
    Routestring=USER
save the entry then try to configure STMS in 000.
Try to add the Entry in All 3 Systems.
