TMS 14.3.2 - No HTTPS Response from devices (again) - Looks like permissions issues (but possibly down to NetBIOS over TCP/IP)

Sometime ago I posted regarding an issue I was seeing on our TMS , where most of the remote devices seemingly showed up as loosing remote connection (no HTTPS Response - https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12290956/tms-lost-https-communciation-devices-not-really). However, I could not figure out the root cause of the error, and now I have managed to break things again - probably due to a Java upgrade which broke TMSPE (see https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12404166/looks-latest-update-java-8-update-31-will-break-tmspe-11).
However, I thought I would look at little more closely this time to see if I could figure out the problem.
I am seeing a lot of entries in the Security Log in TMS that seem to indicated that my the account used from a TMSPE connection has a bad or invalid password (this is set in "Administrative Tools --> Configuration --> Provisioning Extension Settings", but this password is correct (I can log into TMS with this account, and reset and restarted services etc).
The computer attempted to validate the credentials for an account.

I just wanted to check this like file/folder NTFS permissions, or any specific IIS permission . Is there a list of NTFS folder permissions for which the TMS required with regard to the "IIS APPPOOL", and perhaps what may need to be check in IIS?
Oddly, the error list above refers the our "TMSPEConnect" account from the TMS domain, however this is incorrect - TMS is the machine name. Still we ARE seeing similar error which reference the actual domain name, such as:

Hi all,
After a long a fraught weekend trying to fix things, I am not that much further on, but I am beginning to understand what it isn't........ I think :(
It looks as though the "DatabaseScanning" service, or anything that runs under the credentials of the "nt authority\network service" seems to have a problem.
The Audit log show lot of entries where services such as"TMSWebPublic" running under the ISS Application pool "tmsnet40apppool", and actions launched under our own credential appear to communicate just fine with the device, only for the 'network service' to time out the connection a short while later. The same goes for some (not all) of the Phone book updates, which also looks as though it runs under the credentials of the 'Network Service' account.

However, I still don't know at this point is this is related to the actual TMS front end, something to do with the domain and policies that have been applied to TMS, or the actual database, or even just communication with the back end database??? I did try running the services under a domain user (service) account, but then ran into other issues as I couldn't log into TMS.
BTW, removing TMS, and IIS and reinstalling did fix my second issue relating to the 'Communication Errors'.

    Note: By default - Domain Admins don't have Exchange rights.

  • Thread will hang if no http response from TP

    i found out 1 case that Oracle B2B thread will hang if it does not receive HTTP reponse from TP after posting messages to TP.
    we use Async MDN.
    example 1:
    i send ORDERS to TP and expect HTTP response to close the transaction but my TP failed to send HTTP response due to proxy problem. then that particular thread will remain like that forever and no timeout.
    example 2:
    i receive ORDERS from TP and send the MDN back to my TP, again the thread will hang forever if no HTTP response from TP.
    eventually all the thread will hang and no more messages can be process, then i have to restart the B2BService to clean all the hanged thread.

    Please get us the b2b.log. And, information like midtier shiphome (version) used also would help.
    If you are running it on linux, please recreate the scenario and get a thread dump. Here's the command,

  • My itunes won't connect to ipad it receives an invalid response from device

    I am trying to download an app that I had to download to my windows 7 operating system computer.  I downloaded itunes as well but when I connect my ipad to the computer itunes says it can't connect to my ipad because of an invalid response from device.  Can anyone help?

    My pdf freezes when I click on COMMENT. I am trying to get at the tools to edit a pdf. If I use the tools from the toolbar, there is no issue, but once I click COMMENT, the document freezes and I have to open Task Manager to crash it. This started in the last seven days (3.31.15).

    I did not create the file I was working in during the freezes, so I tried a PDF that I created with Adobe and it also freezes when I click on COMMENT. I did discover that the COMMENTS plug-in is loaded. (see image
    I have used COMMENT for years without this issue occurring. It started in the last 2 weeks.
    I could not find Properties under the file menu, but found a security setting in Preferences under the Edit menu. It did not have a way to allow/disallow COMMENT.

No well to rasterize vector before each printing. OS - MacOs 10.10.

    Have you read the User's Guide for that printer?  Odds are you will get reasonable prints.  However, it is a photographic printer.  That said, it should print excellent quality photographic files.  To get smooth lines in Illustrator, try Preferences > Use Anti-Aliased Artwork.  That will smoothen the output.  If, for some reason, that does not work, try Print > Save As PDF > open PDF in Reader and print from there.  Check the User's Guide for media sizes available for your particular printer.  Setup your artboard to the size page you want the image to print on.  Use View > Show Page Tiling ( to see where the page's printable area lies.  Align the page with the artboard using the Page tool.

    It is asking if you want to delete all the iCloud contacts off your Mac (not in iCloud).
    Delete them. If you keep them you will have duplicates when you turn it back on. You will have the copy you kept and another copy when they resync with iCloud

  • How to see http response from an axis web service call (Eclipse)

    I would like to see the raw http response which is returned from web service calls. I have a dynamic web project in Eclipse which uses a local instance of Tomcat 6. I'm using all of the default setting for a top-down web service generated from a WSDL file. I've generated the client using the built-in "generate client" using default settings.
    I've tried using the Eclipse plugin TCP/IP monitor and apache's TCPMON, but I am only able to see the http request, not the http response returned from the web server I am querying.
    I've seen some sparse documentation outlining how to use logging handlers and a client-config.wsdd file, but I haven't been able to get that working.
    So to recap, I'm looking for a way to view raw http responses using a web service client and server generated from a WSDL file in eclipse. I don't mind creating a new project using different code-generating libraries if someone has an easy way to do this using a different configuration.

  • Display looks like there are spotlights shining down from the top.  Screen is light then dark then light, etc.

    hello, I have this problem too but the spotlights come from the bottom.  This started about 2 weeks ago. I took my Macbook Pro (early 2008) to Apple just a couple days ago and they said that my hardware is working just fine. Im not under warranty anymore so I didnt opt to buy a new display.  They showed me a quick fix to the problem, press CONTROL + SHIFT + the EJECT button on top right and the screen goes to sleep, press any key to wake up screen and the spotlights are gone.  Of course this is not a long term fix but its something.  Here is a link to this problem from Apple, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1258 , they've had this problem since 2008.  Hope this helps.

Though I am able to obtain the response when I run my j2me app on sony phone I am not able to get any response in case of nokia. On being asked for the APN on nokia I do select the correct one and my settings are correct too. Moreover I am able to connect to the servlet without any problems from my nokia device. However when I tried to read from the Input stream the value returned by read() is -1.

    Strange, this should be fine. You might want to try a more efficient (and shorter and faster) read code:

  • Apple TV speeds up video playback on files ripped from DVDs - it looks like it's being fastforwarded slightly.

    I just set up my Apple TV 2, only to find playback issues from the start.
    Whenever I try to play videos from iTunes, the playback is noticeably faster than it should be. It's almost as if the video is slightly sped up, and the audio is in sync with this. The aspect ratio is also very different on some of these videos (and this doesn't correct on my TV as it does on my laptop screen) - by which I mean that the picture appears stretched on some, but not others. These are files I have ripped from my DVD collection.
    What can I do about this?

    I haven't directly used those digital copies, per your original post it sounds is as it plays fine in iTunes but just not on apple tv

  • My iPad 3 makes all photos transferred from my PC look like they have a yellowish colour cast.

    All photos transferred from PC have washed out, yellowish look to them. Same photographs appear fine on PC monitor and strangely, look fine when viewed through Flickr on iPad, not through Photos. All other colours look great on device. Same photos look fine too on my old first gen iPad. Any ideas?

  • What does the Isight from the G5 look like

    Now that I see that what is inside the external Isight can won't work - how small is the Isight that is built in to the G5? Do you suppose Apple farms out the manufacturing for that item and if so, who would be the manufacturer? As I mentioned before, we need a very small video and the isight would be perfect.

Neither have I seen anything that tells whether the same built-in iSight camera is used in MacBook Pro and iMac.     If you want an iSight in a portable Mac, the one in MacBook Pro is the only one currently available, but Steve Jobs has announced that more are in the works.
    If you want some other video camera, Google can be your friend. You may want to modify the search terms for what is important in your intended application.

    It explains things on my end. I hope you guys are not in on this. It's intrusive and rather pushy at that. I don't feel I should have to download another video player. The name of the company is updatevideos<i></i>.com. I went there and it took me to api<i></i>.adrenalads<i></i>.com and then to mojopages<i></i>.com!!! If some lumphead is trying to get over on me , I ain,t buyin'!!!

    Hi rimshot69, did you check for an extension in Firefox? To see whether one of those might be involved, you could try one of the following:
    (1) Manually Disable ALL nonessential and/or unrecognized extensions on the following screen. If in doubt, disable:
    orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
    Then restart Firefox using the handy links provided for that purpose and see whether the messages stop.
    (2) Test in Firefox's Safe Mode
    That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
    You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
    Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    Any difference?
    You also may want to run some supplemental scans. These three tools are highly regarded (and free):

    Hi, how do I completly remove a movieclip that is created as a new class. I have an event listener that does a removeChild like this e.target.parent.removeChild(e.target); is this enough or do I have to 'null' the object? I can't just do 'e.target =
