AAM 6.2 All - Download Error (U44M1I216) updating Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6

I'm a CS6 Cloud subscriber running Win7 32-bit and have been having the general 'Download Error/Update Failed' issue with AAM since 12/15/2012.  I spent a couple of hours on the Live Chat line with an Adobe support person during which I downloaded and used the Cleaner; downloaded and installed the AAM 6.2 All package but continued to have the same issue 'Download Error/Update Filed' since.
I believe that I made progress this morning after reading a post on the boards from a direct licensed user with a different AAM issue.  I used the Help/Update function of one of my CS applications which brought up an instance of AAM which, unlike the 'normal' System Tray version of AAM, didn't immediately go to the 'Download Error/Update Failed' state.  This instance of AAM presents both an About and Preferences buttons.  I pressed the Preferences button and this next screen showed the list of my applications and had both a Cancel and OK buttons.
When I pressed the OK button, I got to another screen with the list of my applications and About, Preferences and Update buttons.  In addition to the list of my applications, each application had both a checkbox and an list expose button.  When I pressed the list expose button for each of my applications, I got a complete list of the updates - at the 'package/version level - that AAM 6.2 ALL was attempting to install on my machine in order to maintain all of my applications.
I used that list to go to the Updates page on Adobe to find each of the listed package/version combo's that were listed by AAM 6.2:

  17-Feb-2013   5:38:10a          2,135   Adobe Prelude CS6 1.0.3 02-17-2013.log.gz
I downloaded and installed each of those update packages, one by one, and wittled down the list of packages that AAM sensed as needing to be updated down to just the 'Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6' package - needed by both Photoshop and Prelude.
I used the CSXS Infrastructure CS6 install log file - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers - to confirm that the installation of the specific version that I had found was successful and it was:
02/17/13 07:01:30:198 | [INFO] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 4576 | Successfully installed 1 component:
02/17/13 07:01:30:198 | [INFO] | | OOBE | DE | | | | 4576 | - Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6_3.0.1_AdobeCSXSInfrastructure3-mul
I assume that there must be a later update to the Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6 package that isn't yet posted on the general Update site for direct down load.  When I try to use the application specific instance of AAM to do the update of both Photoshop and Prelude with the version of CSXS that it senses is needed, I get the U44M1I216 error code in the AAM log.
Does anyone know if there is a later version of CSXS that is being called for?  If so, do you have a link to where on the update site I can download it for direct update?
  Thanks,
  Frank

  • I receive a U44M1P7 error when installing Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4.0

Particularly annoying in that ALL FIVE installs failed, and Adobe's lovely solution based on the error code (u44m1p7) is to uninstall and reinstall. Or check the arcane logs that don't tell a real story. How about this idea? TELL THE ENGINEERS NOT TO RELASE THIS STUFF UNTIL IT'S READY FOR PRIME TIME. Thanks. I'm clearly NOT the only one with this issue. AND we don't even know what the added benefit is for this kind of pain. I'm very happy for updates...but to click on all five and they all fail, and we then read that others have the same problem...please do better than that. Thanks.

This might (or might NOT) be fun. Opened log, converted to .csv, filtered errors using Excel. Went into WordPad to correct errors in the errors. Here's the result:

Jeff, I understand you're just trying to help and please understand that my POISONOUS ANGER is in no way directed at you but at someone in the company you work for who caused this problem for me. Thus, from here on out the pronoun "you" refers interchangeably to "Adobe" or "The incompetent engineer (and I use the term loosely) that allowed this dog dirt to be released into my computer"  The problem is clearly NOT with any of my apps but with the infrastructure that you place on my computer to have it all run (thus "common files"). So the advice to uninstall and reinstall is despicable. Rather, YOU fix the garbage in these programs that clearly don't benefit US the users but YOU the company, probably in keeping tabs on my license and right to use CC, which I pay for. I do NOT pay to have that underlying software break and then have to do YOUR work to fix it. Thanks for your ear.

  • Adobe CSXS infrastructure CS6 3.0.1 Update

What does this CS6 Update do of fix and why is a system restart needed?

Hi all, Firstly let me apologise for the confusion caused by this updates lack of descriptive text. I do not like applying updates without at least having some idea of what they do, so I went to the Engineering team responsible for the update to get a response and also created a blog post, the copy of which can be found below. We are working on getting the descriptive text applied as quickly as possible.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/cssdk/2012/05/about-the-csxs-infrastructure-updates-for-cs6.html
About the CSXS Infrastructure 3.0.1 Updates
Recently we posted updates for various CS6 applications called CSXS Infrastructure updates via the Adobe Application Manager. Unfortunately, there was no text describing what the update was for or indeed what CSXS was. Whilst we work to add in the descriptive text to the update, I wanted to provide some brief information for those that were curious as to what the update was about.
CSXS is the platform that delivers extensibility within Creative Suite products. This update to the CSXS Infrastructure, resolves an issue where certain characters contained in a users Adobe ID caused a login failure.
It’s only a very small update but an important one, so please apply the update if you are a CS6 user, now that you know what it’s for.

    Hi Ponygirl,
I think this is an update failure that typically happens because your current installation is damaged or incomplete.
I know we have this document about the error. Please try the solutions and see if they help: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html

  • Creative Cloud Manager - Download Error - cannot update apps

This is an ongoing issue for me.  Whether it's AAM or the new CCM, when I attempt to access apps and updates I receive a Download Error message (see pic) which will not allow me to update or download apps.
After experiencing this with the AAM in May, Adobe support provided me with a work around which amounted to creating a new user on my machine and installing the AAM for that user.  I was then able to update the apps I'd installed previously and install two more apps on my machine.
Now I'm experiencing this issue again - still for the default user on my machine and now for the new fake user I created per Adobe support's instructions.
I'm using Windows 8, Google Chrome browser (I can't update the apps through Adobe, either).
I'd love to get a handle on this issue and get it corrected once and for all and, hopefully, without having to create another 'ghost' user so I can update and install apps.
    Thanks.

For my particular issue I finally found a discussion from another user who was experiencing what seemed to be a similar problem.  I'm not sure why the AAMUdater folder is wreaking such havoc for some people but not for others.  'Tis a mystery.
I had to unhide the appdata folder (I'm in windows 8):
    Windows key + R
    Type in 'explorer'
    Click on 'View' tab
Tick box next to 'hidden' to unhide
Then I was able to find the AAMUpdater folder:
    users/myname/appdata/local/Adobe/AAMUpdate.
I renamed the AAMUpdater folder to oldAAMUpdater (just to make sure this was the issue) and et voila!  Success.  I could open the Creative Cloud Manager and update existing apps and download new apps.
Thank you, David, for your suggestion.  Since I wasn't having a server error I didn't think that fix would pertain to my issue of the anonymous download error.

  • Download Error when updating Cloud Programs

I received two "Update Failed: Download error. Please contact customer support." error messages. That's it. Just a link to some random generic page. Nothing I have found has helped me, and since I can't contact Adobe directly easily to just get a simple answer.

Jeff, I really appreciate the attention and attempts to help, but you're clearly not reading what the problem is. That link you sent me doesn't help at all. Why? Because it is for connection erros. NEVER did I say I was having a connection error. I said the updater was giving me an error stating it wasn't able to update and to contact support. You then ask me (as well as the link you sent) if I am able to connect to the Internet. OBVIOUSLY I can, because I'm posting this on a website...and I wouldn't be able to read the page from the link if I couldn't connect to the Internet.
    2. Make sure I can access secure sites. YES. I can, but again this isn't the problem, because I haven't had any issues with anything except this downloader, and only from this downloader after your last Downloader update.
    3. Check my hosts file. It's fine.
    4. Check the GlobalSign Root CA certificate. Guess what? The instructions to do that don't work. They give you a link to Install Security Certificate ON WINDOWS, even though that link is in the Mac section. Brilliant.
FINALLY, when I just tried to sign in to respond to this, Adobe reset my password for no reason whatsoever, and now this is the third time Adobe did this after your security breach a couple months back. What is going on over there? I wish I can just buy the lastest CS on a darn disc like the entire last 20+ years, and not have to deal with this faulty failing technology. Obviously there is a problem there, and no one knows what it is, and no one has a solution.
If you HAVE a solution, please help. Otherwise, you're just wasting YOUR time and MY time by giving me links that either don't contain solutions, or don't contain accurate information....or both.

  • Download error when updating apps

  • Download error in (osx) adobe desktop app (corrupted download link).

Here is a discription of the problem. Please consider that some of the wording might not be correct, as I do have to translate the error message from German into English.
Using OSX 10.9.2, when clicking inside the adobe desktop app (top of the screen bar) on the tap "apps", the following screen (screenshot) appears, which states, translated from top to bottom:
    download error
    download error. Please contact support.
    (link) contact support
(link/button) download creative cloud -> This button unfortunatly leads to the following error page "http://www.adobe.com/special/errorpages/404.html"
All apps, like Bridge, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc. are installed and work just fine. So no problem here. I seem however unable to redownload the desktop app (in order to reinstall). As stated above the provided link inside the desktop app itself is coruppted and within the (online) web-based download centre (user logged in) I am only adviced to use the desktop app. This is a dead end and I do not know what to make of this error, let alone solving it. Please help!

I am sorry Romsinha but this doesn't really help.
I already restarted the desktop app and while I am obviously online and connected the problem (error message) remains the same. Information within the "home" tap is recieved/loaded  (little blue spinning wheel) stating that various apps recently have been updated. Yet the same loading wheel within the "apps" tap results in an error. My best guess is that some internal link within the app is corrupted, leading to a source on a server that can not be reached.
    UPDATE
I clean uninstalled adobe creative cloud as discribed in the article you provided (using the cleaner tool) and even uninstalled the browser plugin. After downloading and reinstalling creative cloud the problem however remains the same. "Apps" tap still shows the same problem. "Home" tap now displays the following:

  • Keep getting "Download Error" when using Adobe Application Manager. Have tried from different areas.

I'm trying to update my CC Illustrator, as there is an issue that has apparently been resolved with a new update.
Whenever I try to update Illustrator, or even download a new application, I get an error window "Download Error.  Try again or contact customer support."
I have tried to download both directly from Adobe Application Manager and from the Creative Cloud website itself.  I have restarted my computer.   This has been happening for 2 days now.  Just can't seem to connect with Adobe Application Manager.
At one  point I got a window message that said to check the Adobe Site Status, and all looked green and fine there.
And this forum appears to be the only "customer support" ???!  I don't see any chat help or phone help.  Is that true?
I can go back to CS4 Illustrator to get the feature that I need (zoom in/out using magic mouse+Option, which is my favorite and essential Illustrator shortcut) but obviously will need to update and download more CC features and programs in the near future.
Thank you for anyone who can help me.
    Barbara

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite with my Mac so I have an installed version.  I have tried rebooting, but to no avail.  When I search for help on the site, none of the help explanations fit (e.g., delete a folder that doesn't exist on my computer).  I have a 27 inch iMac running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1.  Thanks.

Sscrase what specific error messages did you receive within the installation log files for the update?  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.

    Hi CCD Designer,
