ABAP errors messages stacking in BW

We have experimented with available message types to send errors while validating variable input. Type "I" seems to work the way we want it to; however, I had to change one of our standard web template settings to no longer suppress warnings (<param name="SUPPRESS_WARNINGS" value="X"/>). The messages are not coming thru but I am getting other warning that I do not want the users to see.
If we use Type "E", the error messages appear on a new screen correctly, use the back button to enter a new invalid value for the variable, receive a new error message. This messages is stacked under the previous message. If you use the back button again and enter a valid variable value, you go to the error screen again and see the previous messages but no new messages. It will not let you run the query with a valid value if you received an error to begin with. Seems like the buffer is not clearing or something.
Does anyone know how to clear out the errors or successfully use "E" so I don't get other system warnings that "I" sends thru?

NW ABAP - Error Message: Signal c00 received by operating system

Hi,
I have a problem starting the NSP instance. I have installed JAVA trial and then ABAP Trial.
The SAP Management Console form the JAVA Installation recognizes the ABAP Installation and adds an Application Server entry.
Starting the JAVA instance is no problem and obviously has to be done before starting ABAP.
But when I start the ABAP instance named NSP I received the first time two error messages:
- SAP-Basis System: Operating system call getservbyname_ failed (error no. 0 ) and
- SAP-Basis System: Signal c00 received by operating system
I got rid of the first one by prociding according to SAP Note Number: 39227:
- I added the entry "sapmsNSP 3600/tcp " to my service file (%windir%/system32/drivers/etc/services)
after that at least the process msg_server.exe started properly
the disp+work.exe remains unstartable throwing still the second error message at me. Another message can be seen in the Syslog which is not marked as an error:
"SAP-Basis System: > 3 possible network problems detected - check tracefile and adjus"
Anybody an idea how I can get the ABAP instance running ( I hope I don't have to uninstall the JAVA instance )?

Hi,
What's the instance numbers of your two SAP systems?
If you first installed the Java system it's normally 00 and 01 for SCS and Java Instance. The ABAP system has to have an higher number (I always use a number +10 as the other instance e.g. 10 for the ABAP system to be on the save side).
Seems your ABAP system now use the message Server of the J2EE Engine (sapmsNSP 3600/tcp) Check the profile of your ABAP system, there you will find the right entry for the message server to connect too.

Error Message "Stack underflow"

Hi,
I wrote a tiny little ASP-Script in Homesite 5.0 which
obviously works on our webserver. Unfortunately it crashes Homesite
after opening it with an error message called "stack underflow",
when having more than one file opened. The error occurs after
switching back from another tab to the one with my script. This
error came on any of our PCs with different HomeSite version,
starting with4.5.2 up to 5.2
Has anyone had such a problem so far? If so, how did you fix
it? I allready opened the file in notepad, copy&pasted it into
a new document an saved it under a different name, the problem
still remains. Thank you in advance,

I did some testing on the php example.
- errors in both php3 and php4 parsers, but that makes sense,
since they both are built with one common php.sc file.
- it seems that the error (for this case) is limited to doing
a php tag within a script language="php" tag set.
I'm not a parser scripting expert, but I looked at it.
Someone had added the script support in php.sc and it looks a
little hinky to my eye. I suspect the state handling and the
push/pop involved when you have a php tag inside the php script
tag. Since that's not normally a legal syntax, the scripting states
probably aren't handling it correctly. There is a push/pop there
that may try to pop too many states in this case.
The developer who can look at this is on vacation right now.
I'll try to get him on it when he returns to see if we can fix it.
In the meantime, if there are any of you who have done syntax
parser work and want to take a look at it, that'd be helpful.

FYI, I found that hitting Ctrl-Z for undo often helps me get
out of the error loop when it happens. Instead of killing homesite
because the error is looping, try that first. At least it's a
workaround.
Oh, lastly, they posted a technote for this. Right now it
doesn't offer much help other than turning off php syntax coloring,
which most would hate to do just for this, but we'll update it as
we find out more.

Deleting error messages in ABAP stack and JAVA stack

Hello,
found some useful answers here about deleting messages
which are successfully delivered!
What I miss is an answer about:
a) Error messages in RWB
In Component monitoring -> Archiving you can plan a job to delete messages in status "successful" or "Cancelled with errors".
To cancel jobs you have to do this one by one. With reaction time from page manual cancellation needs hours for 100 messages (Ok, there is a multiple selection button you can use to tag per list screen!).
Now I have lots of message here
- System error
- to be delivered
- cancelled with errors (from system, special case, see next question)
ready to be erased (yes, sure about that!)
Is this the only way here to proceed?
Other question: looks like there is a default time frame for the job which looks like it is more than two months for "successful". "Cancelled with errors" is only deleted from list when reaching this status with the available button "Cancel" but not for messages with status "Cancelled with errors" set by the system.
Any chance to change that time frame.
And what about the messages "Cancelled...." by the system?
b) ABAP stack
OK, delete job is running. But looks like there is a default time frame "delete older than 2 months" (different from a! where it is more than 2 months)
I tried to delete some error messages with function "Cancel message with errors".
Now these messages are cancelled in SXMB_MONI (displayed with different status sign "Pencil").
Starting deletion job has no effect on them. Why? Because they are cancelled today and are not considered by the time frame of the deletion job?
Any help is appreciated!
(This tool is confusing me more and more! )

IR and ID are your JAVA stack....any error in them needs to catched using an Alert in ABAP....
Making use of the blog given define your alert for Integration Engine error and for Adapter Engine error.
Is your business requirement looking for something specific other than this? If yes, then get some more data from them so that other experts will help you with the exact solution.

How can I get a SOAP Error message in ABAP ?

I've got an Error ( T-code : sxi_monitor ) and I need to get the Error message and write to screen.
I used

these are specific to interfaces, in order to handle those
u need to configure apllication log at 'SLG1' t.code.
i mean, u have to use following function moules to handle application log in ABAP Proxy .
i.e
APPL_LOG_WRITE_HEADER
APPL_LOG_WRITE_MESSAGES
APPL_LOG_WRITE_DB.

After installation NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version "Logon Error Message"

Hello all,
After a sucefull installation of NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version and when i tried to acess sap through web browser i get the following error:
Logon error message
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?
URL http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note
The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?
Please select a valid URL.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

I cannot find the answer anywhere. You need to give answers to how to fix these errors because when I "search" "error code" or the number there is NOTHING. NOTHING! Yet you give us these stupid error codes
then you do not give us ANYTHING on how to fix these. These error codes make me so mad it makes me hate outlook, and hate the developers and hate microsoft. How in the world can you give us ERROR codes without the explanation of what
to do or how to fix it. You need to add each error code number in your "search" then explain what it is and how to fix it. I am not a tech. I am a lawyer. I have googled the entire string of error code and nothing is clear.

I understand how frustrated you are when facing such an issue, maybe I can provide some suggestions on the problem.
Based on the description, you should be using an IMAP account setup in Outlook. As for the error message, usually it's caused by a corrupted message on the Server. I suggest you logon the Webmail site, check if sending/receiving emails works well.
If you find any unusual emails that cannot be read or sent, try deleting them to try again.
I also suggest you create a new profile to setup the IMAP account:

Contact your Email Service Provider to get the correct and latest account settings, since you have been using Outlook for years, some settings may have been changed while you haven't been informed.

You need to use the function module RRMS_MESSAGE_HANDLING to post any kind of messages in the report output/web template or portal.
You can pass the values trough the below parameters:
              I_CLASS = 'ZBW'
              I_TYPE   = 'W'
              I_NUMBER = '006'

               2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.

Error message as popup in webdynpro for Abap

Hi,
Use method REPORT_ERROR_MESSAGE of interface IF_WD_MESSAGE_MANAGER to create an error message in the webdynpro application.
This works fine, the message is shown in the message area.
Now I want to have the error message in a popup.
In the method REPORT_ERROR_MESSAGE i set the parameter SHOW_AS_POPUP on abap_true but i get no popup.
Is anyone familar with this?

That's one I fell into as well. That importing field is not is use yet. Perhaps in a future support stack.
You can bypass that by using the CREATE_POPUP_TO_CONFIRM method. Below, you'll find some code from SAP's documentation. All you need to do is select the button type and create some actions to receive input from the popup.

Error Message no. F5669 in Returns after installing Stack 17

Greetings Gurus,
After applying the Stack 17 upgrade to our system we started getting Error Message no. F5669
Posting date is initial
Message no. F5669
Diagnosis
Fiscal year and period are derived from the posting date. The posting date, however, is at the initial setting.
System Response
Fiscal year and period cannot be derived.
Procedure
A system error has occurred. The posting date transferred must have a legitimate value.
I am not familiar with this error. I looked it up and nothing I have found applies to RETURNS.
Since my error only applies to returns that have a charge associated with them, I was hoping someone could offer some information. If I try to process a return for checks with insufficient funds that apply a fee to customers account, I will get this error.
The error says the "The posting date... is at the initial setting"; where do I find the "initial" setting in the IMG? If anyone can direct me I really appreciate it.

The notes recommended refer to issues with stack 7.0, we are applying stack 17. Do you have any other suggestions that may lead to a solution? The error is saying that the posting date is at the "initial setting", but I am not sure what that means since our other transactions are posting just fine. I have tried to search for relevant IMG activity without success. Can you tell me if there is a transaction for the posting dates "initial setting"? If there is that may point me to the solution.
