    Hi,
According to me the minimum skills required for a general ABAP Programming is all is that, you need to be familiar with the SQL Select statemernts to fectch the data from database server and populate the data and finally display the required output. Also it will be useful if you know how to send the data from non-SAP to SAP system doing this we have many procedures minimum required is BDC and its also good if you know the Scripts and Smartforms to display the layout.

  • How to set CTI OS Agent Wrap-up and Reason Codes by Skill Set

I've the situation I need to create Wrap-up Codes based on differents skill sets. Do you know how to achieve this in CTI OS Agent, as you do it on Cisco Agent Desktop?
    Any leading on this?

Any decent VB.NET programmer can use the samples provided by Cisco as a starting point and add some new functionality (based on the decent API doc) to set the wrap-up reason.
Pop up something based on the skill ID extracted from the established call and enable them to pick. It's just a string - it's not a "code" per se; there is no mapping between strings and ints and there is no standard report showing counts on wrap up reasons. What do you want to use the knowledge of the wrap-up 'code" for? Are you looking at the TCDs?
Don't quite know how you are going to set this up based on a skill group without (say) each client fetching from the registry. Easy, but a pain to maintain. Otherwise you are going to need an ODBC client query to a DB somewhere. Certainly doable.

  • Skill set requirements for SAP E-Sourcing and CLM

    Dear All,
We are about to implement SAP-E-Sourcing 5.1 and CLM 2.0  (on Netweaver Platform). What are the skill sets required to support and do enhancement and customization to this solution?.
    Thanks in advance.
    regds
    velu

    Hi Velu -
E-Sourcing technical consultants will require SQL skills if you are developing custom reports. The E-Sourcing query and reporting tools utilize "annotated" SQL statements the result in a SQL query being executed against the relational database. It is also useful for the report developer to have skills specific to the DBMS being used (for example, Oracle skills) - often times, using DBMS specific SQL constructs can provide improved reporting.
E-Sourcing has a feature called "scripting" that allows custom business logic to be included in the application and executed at various "call-out" points. The scripting feature provided by E-Sourcing uses a technology called BeanShell (see www.beanshell.org for more details on this technology). Beanshell development really requires strong programming skills using Java, although some components of BeanShell may be more like JavaScript. Regardless, I recommend Java expertise for writing E-Sourcing scripts. Knowledge of HTML is not required.
The E-Sourcing workflow capabilities also utilize BeanShell, so if you plan to implement any workflows, you will also require such technical skills.
Many other features of E-Sourcing such as user interface customization can be done with less technical individuals. Programming is not required.
    Hope this is helpful.

    Rob

  • ABAP Knowledge Skills

    Dear Friends,
Can someone guide me on to Understand  the Knowledge Level in  ABAP required for BW development? I would like to receive the Frequently Used Sample Codes in any Small Transaction .
As a BIW Consultant , in which work scenario ( Data Loading ,Reporting , Extraction), ABAP working Skills are Required ?
    Thanks ,
    GRK

    Hi GRK,
Basically you would use ABAP in the followin areas in BW:
    1. Coding extractors in case of generic extractors in R/3.
    2. User exits in R/3.
    3. Transfer routines
    4. Update routines.
    5. Infopackage routines(for populating selection values).
    6. User exits in BW.
    7. Eceptional cases may include BadI,etc..
As a start in ABAP you can use this book:
    http://sapabap.iespana.es/sapabap/manuales/learnabap/
Refer this link for ABAP usage in BW:

  • Skill set required for Hyperion environment patching

    Hi all,
Could you please let me know what specific skill set is required for hyperion environment patching?
Does it come under hyperion application administration? Could you please also help me understand the difference between Hyperion application administrator and Hyperion infrastructure administrator?

Is there a reason for asking this question? It all depends on the company to how the role is defined, it is possbile application administrator or infrastructure administrator could be applying patches, usually falls more under an infra role though.
You would usually need product knowledge, the technologies behind EPM and the architecture, OS skills.
    Cheers

  • ABAP code to set Infopackage Monitor to "RED" status?

    Hello,
I have an Infopackage that is using ABAP code to determine the selection values dynamically for an Infoobject during the load (Type: 6 ABAP routine).  We have built in customer error checking on the selection values based on our requirements.
In the event of an error I need to do the following:
-Set the 'Total' and 'Technical' color status to "RED" in monitor.
-Define custom error message in "Status" tab of monitor for load.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?  Links to an example or previous thread will be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Brian

The status of a particular request is stored in the table RSREQDONE. You can have an abap code to modify the entries of the field TSTATUS (technical status of the request) in this table for the given request number.
    Example:
Value of @5B@ for this field denotes that this request is successful (GREEN)
FYI, I am not sure how recommendable this process is coz I never implemented before.

  • IdM User automatically locking ABAP account after setting new password

    Hi Experts
We are currently facing a problem, where it seems that the idmuser used when provisioning to ABAP is setting a value 128 (locked due to wrong logon) almost simultaneously as setting the new password on the user. I have found the information under SU01 and changes on the user account.
I cannot find anywhere in IdM that the value 128 is set to the "islocked" attribute. When provisioning new passwords, we do'nt even try to set the "islocked" attribute. We do unlocking/locking in separate tasks - and NEVER us the value 128.
Does anyone have a good explanation as to why/how this can happen?
    Kind regards
    Heidi Kronvold

Did you resolve this?  I have a similar (though not identical) problem in that the user gets no password assigned when provisioning.  Even users that already exist in that system get their password removed which effectively disables the password not allowing the user to login.  I am using 100% out of the box SAP provisioning framework.
