Abap proxy method execute synchronous

hey guys,
im new at XI and am posting this thread in the hope that someone would explain to me, what is required of the method "execute synchronous" in an abap proxy.
thanks

Hi,
<b>Execte_Synchronous</b> is used to send the message synchronously. Similarly execute_asynchonous is used to send the message asynchronously.
<b>Some theory about proxy.</b>
1. Proxies can be a server proxy or client proxy. In our scenarios we require proxies to send or upload the data from/into SAP system.
2. One more thing proxies can be used if your WAS &#8805; 6.2.
3. Use Tcode SPROXY into R/3 system for proxy use.
4. To send the data from R/3 system we use OUTBOUND PROXY. In Outbound proxy you will simply write an abap code to fetch the data from R/3 tables and then send it to XI. Below is the sample code to send the data from R/3 to XI.
REPORT zblog_abap_proxy.
DATA prxy TYPE REF TO zblogco_proxy_interface_ob.
CREATE OBJECT prxy.
DATA it TYPE zblogemp_profile_msg.
TRY.
it-emp_profile_msg-emp_name = 'Sarvesh'.
it-emp_profile_msg-empno = '01212'.
it-emp_profile_msg-DEPARTMENT_NAME = 'NetWeaver'.
CALL METHOD prxy->execute_asynchronous
EXPORTING
output = it.
commit work.
CATCH cx_ai_system_fault .
DATA fault TYPE REF TO cx_ai_system_fault .
CREATE OBJECT fault.
WRITE :/ fault->errortext.
ENDTRY.
Receiver adapter configurations should be done in the integration directory and the necessary sender/receiver binding should be appropriately configured. We need not do any sender adapter configurations as we are using proxies.
5. To receive data into R/3 system we use INBOUND PROXY. In this case data is picked up by XI and send it to R/3 system via XI adapter into proxy class. Inside the inbound proxy we careate an internal table to take the data from XI and then simply by using the ABAP code we update the data inot R/3 table. BAPI can also be used inside the proxy to update the data into r/3.
I hope this will clear few doubts in proxy.

  • How The ABAP Proxy method gets triggered

    Hi All,
    I have created a ABAP Proxy for inbound interface.For this interface the data is coming from XI system.So i am writing the logic to read the XI data into an internal table and am populating the same data into a BAPI.
    So my question is,once the XI system sends the data, Will this ABAP Proxy Method automatically gets trigger or Do we need to make any settings?
    Please Help me As early as possible.
    Thanks in advance

    Srinivas Kodukula

    Hi srinivas,
    Refer the below points for the configuration needed at R/3 side:
    1. Create a HTTP connection in the business system using transaction SM59
    2. Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine in SXMB_ADM
    3. Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory. For this check the RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI
    4. Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
    5. Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST

    Hi Abhishek,
    The target http server says that if my xml request data is valid then they will send a response back in the http header in a field call route.

  • 3.0 Inbound ABAP Proxy not executing

    I am attempting a simple SAP (IDoc) -> XI [WAS 6.4] -> SAP (ABAP Proxy)[WAS 6.2]. This proxy receives a couple key elements from the Idoc and writes them to an accessible directory on the recipient SAP machine. Here's what I have thusfar:
    - ABAP Proxy generated successfully on recipent system. Independent test through sprx_test_inbound is successful and file is written as expected
    - Test Idoc sent, received and processed through XI successfully (as seen in sxi_monitor) and also received successfully on recipient sap system (as seen on it's sxi_monitor - checkered flag)
    - However, no file is written
    I have checked the following:
    - Related communication channel Message Protocol is "XI 2.0" given recipient SAP system is 6.2
    - SICF on recipient SAP system shows services as active
    I am unsure what to check next, and from reading the various docs I cannot determine any other requirements for ABAP proxy communication. Ideas?

    Hi guys!
    I am completely stuck in the same situation
    Scenario is:
    file -> XI3.0 -> WAS6.20(Abap Proxy)
    I think I have doubled checked almost everything i can figure out:
    - messages in SXMB_MONI successful on both sides (XI and SRM)
    - on SRM: SICF services active, queues registered and active, proxy generated and code implemented (actually the method  of my implementation class is workin' good if single-tested), pipeline correctly configured in SXMB_ADM
    I tried also to debug my proxy by deregistering queues and manually debugging the LUW, setting a breakpoint on my method execution (breakpoint at method), but nothing happens...
    What am I missing then, for God's sake? Please help: I'm loosing my youth on that
    Thanks

  • How can i write code in Inbound ABAP proxy method

    Hi,
    All
    Iam doing server proxy ascenario
    /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/04/03/abap-server-proxies
    i have done
    steps:
    1:I have done inbound  proxy interface in xi
    2:i have created a inbound abap proxy in my SAP WEB AS6.4 using SPROXY.
    3:I need to write code in Z11_EMPDETAILS_IN~EXEXUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS method
    if i double click on that method it is not opening how can I write code.

    Hi,
    You have to goto the class
    <b>ZCL</b>_EMPDETAILS_IN~EXEXUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS not
    <b>Z11</b>_EMPDETAILS_IN~EXEXUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS
    Check on the third step.

  • ABAP proxy method change - from which version?

    Hi,
    for some new abap proxies when generating them inside
    SPROXY methods like EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS
    are no longer available - it's fine I can use the message interface name
    as the method and the call works fine
    question:
    but does any of you know from which version this works like that?
    any SP level or patch level? (any OSS note mentioning it maybe)?
    I just need the document (or link) that mentions - from this version
    in abap proxies you need to use MI as the method's name
    that'a all
    thank you,

    It came with SAP_BASIS SP14, the same release were SAP introduced the proxy generation for PI 7.1 service interfaces with several operations. This was the reason for the change.
    The PI systemis not relevant, but the SP level of the component SAP_BASIS of the application system.
    I am sure if there is any documentation availble for this change. I read about  this change in SDN forum

  • Using of Integration Scenario in a Abap Proxy to JDBC receiver synchronous

    Hi ,
    Can any one help me out  how to go about for creating Integraion scenario in ESR as i'm new to the use of Integration scenario..
    its an Abap proxy to Jdbc synchronous scenario... kindly help in this regards.

    Hi Indudhar,
    Right click on the namespace where you want to create the IS and say new, Select process integration scenario option, give a suitable name and say OK.
    In the Component View section right click on the first grey column and Insert a sender Application component. Enter ur product and the software component version. Like wise in the next grey column enter the target Application component.
    Now go to the top level menu and click on view and select grid.
    Now right click on each App. component and insert the created actions. If the scenario is sync then the actions will be side by side otherwise the target one will be in the next grid of the target app. component.
    After entering the actions click on the source action then press shift and click on the target action, right click and choose create connection between the two actions.
    Fill in the info and then save.

  • How to handle exceptions in sender ABAP Proxy

    Hi Experts,
       I have a synchronous scenario.
       SAP R/3 System A -ABAP Proxy <-> PI <-----> SOAP< ---> Webservice
       In system 'A', a function module calls the ABAP Proxy method.
       My requirement is that if there is an exception in PI ( for example: timeout or ABAP engine error) then I want to get the exception details in the calling function module.
    For example:
    Exception in PI:
      <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
    <SAP:Category>XIAdapterFramework</SAP:Category>

    <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace=""/>
    <SAP:Stack/>
    <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
    </SAP:Error>
    In the calling function module:
    Try
    Call to proxy-> method
    Catch cx_ai_system_fault INTO v_o_fault.
           v_err_msg1 = v_o_fault->GET_TEXT( ).
           v_err_msg2 = v_o_fault->errortext.
           v_err_msg3 = v_o_fault->code.
    Endtry.
    Here I get value "MESSAGE.GENERAL" for  v_err_msg1 and v_err_msg3. v_err_msg2 is blank.
    I want to capture the info available under <SAP:AdditionalText>. How to get that?
    Please help!
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Gopal,
    Maybe the exception is CX_SY_APPLICATION_FAULT, or you can catch by BPM in PI and send back to proxy like a message response.

  • Inbound ABAP proxy in the IS localhost

    Hello, Is there anyone who knows what I need to do to create an Inbound ABAP Proxy that execute a method in the Integration Server localhost.
    regards
    Ernesto Duran

    Hello the reason is that I want to split a message I receive from the jdbc adapter. Anyway in webMethods you can always manipulate your XML messages and then resend them to a broker(wM Broker) or a publish/subscriber system (wM TN) and trigger a new process. In XI I only see the posbility to pass document from one system to another. Maybe the point is to work in another way that I still don't understand. Please look at my topic "JDBC adapter and message split" to get more information about my problem.

  • JDBC to ABAP Proxy Scenario

    Hello SDN Rocks,
    Here my scenario is JDBC to Pi to ABAP Proxy
    Here internally RFC is trigering under proxy side.
    Data is going to pi Box sucessfully but Pi to ECC side is not going it seems like  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

      <AGRMNT_TAB />
      </ns1:Z_ZOTC_AGRMNT_DATA_VIA_001> Empty Blank structure is coming like this no data is coming under thisAGRMNT_TAB  tab.
    Please give me the Inputs from your end

    Hello Friend ,
    under abap proxy method my rfc will be triggering.
    I think you got my point.

  • Server proxy method name and interface operation name

    Hi all,
    I have successfully used inbound server proxies on several occasions.  Each time, without thinking about it, I took the default option where the OPERATION name == the SERVICE INTERFACE name.  When the proxy is generated, the ABAP method is the OPERATION name and everything works nicely.
    This time however, I tried something different and built a service interface (PMNotification, as example) with the operation name 'Create', thinking that I could also have a second operation 'Update' (for example).  The ABAP proxy method then becomes CREATE, but I then get 'NO IMPLEMENTING CLASS....' errors. If I change the operation name to match the interface name and regenerate, everything works again.
    SO, my question is this : Is is true that the OPERATION name MUST equal the INTERFACE name for an inbound server proxy ??
    If this is the case, then a (inbound) service interface can only have one operation; this doesn't seem right.
    Looking forward to any insight.
    Guy

    If this is the case, then a (inbound) service interface can only have one operation; this doesn't seem right.
    Open your service interface in ESR and press F7....if the proxy cannot be generated you would probably get an information on this....inbound SI can have multiple operations but then it seems to be a limitation in case of proxy.
    Also if your operations have different types of messages (combinations of message type and external definitions etc) then you face such limitations.
    Some reference from Michal's blog: The specified item was not found.
    Now the method that you need to call from to send an ABAP Proxy message has exactly the same name as a method
    inside the Service Interface objects in Enterprise Service Repository (ESR is a successor of Integration Repository - IR) like
    shown in the picture below:

    Abhishek.

  • SAP PI 7.4 SOAP - ABAP Proxy Synchronous Webservice

    Hi Everyone,
    I am developing the following scenario:
    3rd party makes a SOAP call to SAP (via PI) to determine whether a vendor exists or not in the SAP system. The link for the call is provided by us from the Integrated Configuration.
    The request comes in, calls an ABAP Proxy to check if a vendor exists and sends a response back to the SOAP call with a 'Y' or an 'N'.
    I've read a lot about various scenarios but I'm having trouble connecting the dots as I'm fairly new to PI. I'd appreciate any help.
    I've made the following set-up based on assuming I need separate Service Interfaces for the SOAP Request & Proxy Response
    ESR
    1. Message Types
         SOAP (MT_SOAP_REQ & MT_SOAP_RESP) - PROXY (MT_PRXY_REQ & MT_PRXY_REQ)
    2.  Message Mappings
         MM_REQUEST    which maps MT_SOAP_REQ   to  MT_PRXY_REQ)
         MM_RESPONSE which maps MT_PRXY_RESP   to MT_SOAP_RESP)
    3. Service Interfaces (Synchronous)
        (SOAP Request)
        SI_IN (Inbound Interface)       with Request = MT_SOAP_REQ and Response = MT_SOAP_RESP
       (Proxy Response)
        SI_OUT (Outbound Interface) with Request = MT_PRXY_REQ and Response  = MT_PRXY_RESP
    4. Operation Mapping
        OM_LOOKUP which maps SI_IN to SI_OUT with Request    (MT_SOAP_REQ  to MT_PRXY_REQ)
                                                                        and  Response (MT_SOAP_RESP to MT_PRXY_RESP)
    I create the ABAP Proxies for each Service Interface. SI_IN contains the required coded method to check if there is a vendor.
    I create the webservice and binding for SI_IN in SOAMANAGER
    At this point I'm somewhat unsure - what do I need to do for SI_OUT ? Do I need to create a logical port ? how is SI_OUT associated to SI_IN (apart from the Operation)  to get the response.
    ID
    In the Integration Directory I've created a SOAP_SENDER communication channel for System A and SOAP_RECEIVER channel for SAP.  For the SOAP Receiver I need to specify a URL - what should this be ? Is it meant to point to the web service for SI_IN in SICF or just to the generic http://host:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
    Do I need to use the HTTP_AAE adapter for the receiver instead of SOAP ?
    I created an Integrated Configuration for the SI_IN Service Interface with comm channel SOAP_SENDER from System A and SOAP_RECEIVER for SAP backend.  I then got the WSDL for this to provide to the 3rd Party to test (via SOAP UI)  . Again my concern is how is the SI_IN linked to the SI_OUT to achieve the response ?
    I appreciate you taking the time to go through this .  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks very much

    Is it possible? ABAP Proxy <-> File Synchronous? Without BPM and Custom Module Adapter. Just using RequestResponseBean???
    Tks in advance.

    Hi Raj,
    Tks. I implemented the Acknowledgements Request and changed the ABAP Proxy to Async. But the Ack returns to the ECC with the error and is not saved in the Message. The error follows below:

    Any Idea about this error?

    Hi Experts,
    I am very new to ABAP Proxy to JDBC syncronous method.
    I have used 4 DT, 4 MT, 2 MI, 2 MM and 1 IM.
    I have used reference from

    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3928. [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    My question is in Integration Directory how many sender agrement, receiver agrement, receiver determination and interface determination should i use?
    Is my above DT , MT , MI , MM and IM is correct?
    I am not using any BPM.
    Thank you in advanced.

    for a Sync sceanrio, you will create
    1 RD
    1 ID
    1 SA (since its a ABAP proxy call this is optional)
    1 RA
