Interface ABAP Proxy - File - Synchronous - (Is it possible???)

Hi Experts,
I want execute ABAP Proxy which will create File in FTP. On final, i need return "OK" information to the ABAP Proxy.
Is it possible? ABAP Proxy <-> File Synchronous? Without BPM and Custom Module Adapter. Just using RequestResponseBean???
Tks in advance.

Hi Raj,
Tks. I implemented the Acknowledgements Request and changed the ABAP Proxy to Async. But the Ack returns to the ECC with the error and is not saved in the Message. The error follows below:

  • Abap proxy call : synchronous / background ?

    Hi,
I use currently abap proxy call to send data from ECC to XI, and it works fine ! But... I would like to know two points :
    1. Is it possible to execute SYNCHRONOUSLY this call abap proxy and not only in asynchronous...
    2. Is it possible to execute in BACKGROUND this call abap proxy, because it seems it use a dialog process, even if the call is inside an abap program executed in background
I will appreciate your feedbacks on these both points ?
    Regards.
    Mickael

    Hi,
Yes, we can do Sysnchronous call in Proxy.
and we can do the Background job schedule also in Proxy .

  • Problem receiving acknowledgement: abap proxy == file adapter

    Hi experts,
I am developing an asynchrone interface using PI 7.0. The scenario is: SAP ==> FILE.
In SAP I have created an abap proxy in wich I requested an acknowledgement when calling from the abap code. In PI I have created an Integration Process with a receive step, and a send step. In de send step I am asking for a transport acknowledgement.
When I test the interface and I look in the SXMB_MONI in PI, I see the acknowledgement given back to the IP, but in the SAP backend system I don't receive anything in the abap proxy which had send the original message. In de SXMB_MONI from SAP I see a "?" Still awaiting  acknowledgement.
Can anyone help me with this scenario? I really need an acknowledgement from the file adapter in the calling abap proxy.
    Regards, Jeroen

You need to crate a REceiver Agreement for this sender...
The Integration Server sends an acknowledgment message back to the sender (CENTRAL_BACK). It uses the name of the sender system for logical and technical backward routing.
If the sender is addressed using an ABAP proxy, you must define a corresponding receiver agreement for this sender.

  • ABAP Proxy - AAE Synchronous message problem.

    Hi,
We are using ABAP Proxy -> PI 7.11-> JDBC stored procedure. We are using AAE.
The problem we are facing is identical to the one mentioned in the thread below:
    [Re: <SAP:Code area="PARSING">GENERAL</SAP:Code> - Error;]
That is the first call is ok.. and the second call results into exception. When we switch to normal config without AAE, it is working fine.
Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.
PS: Also please note that similar scenario is running for a different customer without trouble...

The link you gave does not open.
Also please note that similar scenario is running for a different customer without trouble...
Compare the SP level of both the systems.....if configuration is perfect, then ensure that SP level of ABAP and JAVA is at same level.
@Baskar: Proxy supports AAE communication from PI7.11....no need to wait for 7.3....more information is available

  • Error handling using fault message type in outbound synchronous ABAP proxy

    Hi,
We've a scenario, outbound synchronous ABAP proxy to synchronous SOAP receiver. The requirement is to send multiple records in a single rquest and get response for all the records sent (in the same response message).
Say if I send 10 records from ECC, I should get 10 records as response from SOAP to ECC. But the problem here is, there could be some invalid requests, for which an invalid error status code should be sent as part of response.
    Source Structure
    Req_Proxy
        req (0..unbounded, string)
    Response Structure
    Resp_SOAP
      Resp (0..Unbounded)
respString (0..1, String) (carries the actaul response message)
status code (0..1, String) (carries the status of the response, for ex, 001 (successful), 002 (error))
And now we are planning to make use of Fault Message Type, to track the errors from SOAP (status code 002). But, we are not sure on how to track this for all the requested records. Is it possible to track the errors for all the requested records in a singe call using fault message type? For eg if 8 records are successful and 2 are invalid, then we should get 10 records in response 8 for valid and 2 for invalid accordingly.
    Please calrify.
    Thanks.
    Rohit

For eg if 8 records are successful and 2 are invalid, then we should get 10 records in response 8
for valid and 2 for invalid accordingly.
Check if you can modify the WSDL structure to include an error node that would get populated incase of invalid entries....this would mean that you get the success and failure details in the single message....also at the proxy-end make the necessary change in your DT.....may be then you do not need to use the fault message...

    Abhishek.

    Hi
Below is the full details of above links
    For link 4196517?
    Q) Hi All,
I have got a requirement to raise an exception from existing ABAP Proxy depending on condition. XI consultant created a fault messge type and attached to the inbound interface message type. I have regenerated the ABAP proxy but I cant find any thing in excpetion tab to raise exception.
Please let me know the solution for this.
    Answers : 1) Go to Sproxy .
Select the message interface for which you generated the proxy.
Click on the Structure tab. Do you see any Exception Class generated for fault message ?
    2) Just follow all the steps defined in the below Blog and you will find the solution.
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/11/02/fault-message-types--a-demo-part-1
    3) I can't find any exception class there in 'Structure' tab. what might be the problem.
    4) In SProxy ..under the Message Interface you will see Fault Message Type.
Click on Fault Message Type and check if you can see the fault message type created by xi consultant.
Also ask your xi team to login to IR and re-activate the interface.
    5) I can't find any fault message type under Fault Message Type. I will ask my XI consultant to reactivate the interface.
Is this the only problem for this or is htere any other reason for not finding this fault message type in SPROXY.
    6) Ideally the fault message type should be visible unless he has defined Software Dependencies and using MT from some other SC.
Even if the fault message type is not visible everything could be all right.
Ask him to check if he selected the fault message type while activating the interface.
Do update us when you get a reply from ur xi team.
    7) I have checked with XI admin, he said that he created fault message types in Development Xi but R/3 Development refers to Production XI system in exchange profiles. He asked me to change it to XI development in exhange profile settings. So I am searching info on how to set exchange profiles.
    8) The following link will guide you ..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c9/7a1041ebf0f06fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
I dont think we need to do any changes in Exchange Profile for proxy communication.
Changing the RFC Destinations (in your R/3 system)- LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI should solve your problem.

    Q) Hi All,
We have an ABAP Proxy implemented for posting goods movement and it is calling BAPI function module to post good movement. We have got a requirement that if BAPI returns any error, this error message send back to SAP XI.

/people/prateek.shah/blog/2005/06/14/file-to-r3-via-abap-proxy - File to ABAP Proxy
    2) you can utilize the fault messages for such an usage -

    3) You have to do Fault message implementation in this case...
A no. of exception will be there. For any error proxy will catch the exception and will write it in the fault message...so....from r/3 response will go to Xi as Fault message response in case any error/exception occours......
    have look here...
    Fault message implementation.

    5) the file adapter can work only asynchronous, so you cant have a response. You should build two asynchronous messages. File -> proxy inbound and after the bapi call an outbound proxy is called which is sending a second messge to the file adapter.
    6) you can define a synchronous scenario which will include request/response messages.
send the response back to XI.
the file adapter supports BE QoS.

7)I have an interface Z_stock_move(message interface(inbound)) and class z_STOCK_MOVE in that. I have clicked exception tab but not able to add exception there as its not enabled for change.
Please let me know how to add the exception to an existing abap proxy.so that i can raise an exception when bapi call to goods movenment returns errors.
    Might be useful to U.

  • Asynchronous ABAP proxy

    hello everybody!
    i'm working with PI 7.1
i create a interface ABAP proxy -> PI -> file
    so is a async interface.
    every step was created succesfully.
When i try to call proxy from my abap program or from test tool in SPROXY transaction i don't see any message in monitor.
No file arrived, no errors in log , (SM58, ST22, SM21, integration monitor)...nothing.
i tryed to change the Service Interface and set Syncrounous mode.
so now the file is arrived!!!!!! but... i have error in message monitor because (correctly) it's expecting a return mapping.
where is the problem? can i use this scenario?

  • Queue specific ABAP Proxy in ECC

    Hello Experts,
I've a service interface abap proxy-based and I wanna assign it to a specific queue of tcode smqr.
My main goal is ensure that every message of one specfic interface will get only one specific queue.
Does anyone knows if it's possible and how?
    Best Regards,

    Hi Stefan,
How about Step no 1 :
    1. Create RFC destination (TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI for the SLD connection.
1.Execute transaction SM59 in the business system.
    2.Choose Create.
    3.Enter at least the following:
        1.RFC Destination: LCRSAPRFC
        2.Connection Type: T
        3.Description: <your description>
        4.Choose ENTER.
5.Choose the Technical settings tab page and do the following:
6.In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, enter LCRSAPRFC
7.This program ID must correspond to a program ID specified in the RFC engine settings of the SAP J2EE Engine on the Integration Server host.
Because i have done this configuration in my application but the failed to test connection ?

  • ABAP Proxy without SOAP adapter in PI7.3

    Hi All,
We have dual stack implementation of PI7.3 but we do not wish to use the SOAP adapter for configuring an ABAP proxy scenario.
Is this possible? Is the Javastack only configuration in NW Admin available for use in dual stack implementation also?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Diptee

    Hi All,
So it essetially means that only the below 2 options are available for ABAP proxy scenarios in PI7.3 for a ABAP+Javastack installation
    - use of SOAP adapter over XI protocol
    - use of conventional proxy configuration of the ABAP Integration Server
And the only Javastack config cannot be used for a dual stack implementation.
Please confirm if above is correct.

    Thanks guys, this was useful.
My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
    Have i got this right?
I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:
    The following receivers support acknowledgments:
ABAP and Java proxies (XI 3.0 SP1 for the latter)
    Integration processes
IDocs (note that IDocs only return acknowledgments when they have been configured using the ALE audit)
Receiver adapters support system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments
My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
I need to handle such errors...ie. If  the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

  • Outbound Client ABAP Proxy Timeout Error

Hello everybody we have the next scenario:
R/3 Client Synchronous ABAP Proxy->XI-> Synchronous RFC
and we are having problems cause the Sender R/3 is not waiting for the RFC in the Receiver system to process so XI is in log  status fot this messages, is there a parameter to increase the time for R/3 Sender to wait for the Call method sentence to complete succesfully??????, thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    do changes as below
    In SXMB_ADM
    go to Configure Integration server

  • Apple pro Rez vs proxy files workflow

    Hi all
I have a question , I have hours and hours of footage coming in on apple pro rez (hq) for a doccie, I dont want to have to work with all that footage as it might cause problems with the machine and external drives been so large should I:
    A. convert it to say a proxy file   (if that is possible with (HQ) ) or LT.
    B. edit then and reconnect to the original (HQ) files making sure it is frame accurate.
    C. if i worked with say just a pro rez file and not a pro rez hq will it make a difference when using color for grading?
I would imagine all the HQ files need to be converted in Compressor to LT first , then edited , then media managed and reconnected to HQ files is this the right way to do it?
    Thanks in Advance

If the footage already exists as HQ, and you don't have enough room to store it...how are you storing it?  I mean, it already exists as HQ...why not edit that?  Because it would be too many drives attached?
    DO NOT USE COMPRESSOR!
If you want to do the offline/online workflow, then use the MEDIA MANAGER to RECOMPRESS the footage as ProRes Proxy...not LT.  Edit, then take the PRoxy offline, bring all the HQ footage online, and reconnect.

  • Web Service u0096 ABAP proxy  synchronous interface

    hi experts,
can you suggest me how to do this scenario?
    <i><b>Web Service – ABAP proxy  synchronous interface.</b></i>

    hi,
you can create a web service on XI
which will call ABAP proxy (on ERP, SRM etc)
in a synchronous way (you just need to generate the proxy class
    in TCODE SPROXY)
then you can fill the method of your generated proxy class
and you will have WS - ABAP proxy interface
have a look at this to undrstand server proxy:

However, I also want to use information in the response payload to output on the error as the payload contain infrmation on why the error was thrown in the target application - for example - Format of data xxx is incorrect.
I can get access to the request payload using interface/class IF_WSPROTOCOL_PAYLOAD=>GET_SENT_REQUEST_PAYLOAD but there does not seem to be an equivalent for GET_RECEIVED_RESPONSE_PAYLOAD !
Have anyone done this before - use payload information in an ABAP proxy from the response payload ?
    Kind regards
    Colin.

    Hi,
I will need the actual payload info not the status.
I will have to debug SXI_MONITOR in CRM to see how it is obtained.
    Thanks
    Colin
