thanks & regards ,
M.S

Hi M.S,
If the setting is already check, then the problem is in GUI. While installing GUI there is a option for Screen painter. You need to check it at GUI inatall
For patch details refer [Graphical Layout Editor|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/d1/801b77454211d189710000e8322d00/frameset.htm]

  • Problem with Screen Painter - Graphical Layout Editor.

    Hi Friends,
I have a strange problem with my Graphical Layout Editor. I first had the problem that the alphanumeric Editor gets displayed even the checkbox for Graphical Layout Editor is checked. Then I had gone through sdn forums and found that the <b>eumfcdll.dll</b> was missing. Thanks to sdn forums. When I copied that file into the path specified it worked fine. But the problem is my layout screen is not displayed fully. It is just displayed at the top of the window and only in that region I can drag and drop the elements. Remaining part of the window is uneditable.
what is the problem? Do I need to make any further settings?
    Regards,
    Raju.

try to re-install GUI patch .
<b>Yeah , its like CNTLALTDEL(restart) , So half of the problems get resolved.</b>

    "Program ZSCREENPAINTER1
"TYPE LINE" or "LIKE LINE" expected, not "BEGIN". ."
coding that i have done is :
    PROGRAM  ZSCREENPAINTER1.
    DATA : OK_CODE TYPE SY-UCOMM,
    types: BEGIN OF EKPO,
           EBELP TYPE EBELP,
           BUKRS TYPE BUKRS,
           WERKS TYPE WERKS,
           MATKL TYPE MATKL,
           END OF EKPO.
    thanks & regards ,
    M.S

just to add to all these answers..
'.' (Dot) acts as end of statement in ABAP as ';' works for C..
and ':'(colon) is used for  pipeline or chaining more than one statement.. and chained statements are joined using ','(comma)
    so
    left side : right side1,
                 right side2,
                 right side3.
    "this actually means..
left side right side1. " ends here
left side right side2. " ends here
left side right side3. " ends here
hope you understand now... its BASIC abap...

  • ABAP SCREEN PAINTER DOUBT

    Hi friends,
Any one can tell me the solution to resolve the error maximum number of internal sessions reached  .
    regards,
    p.varadarajan

    Hi
Ossnote .... 34154 is very interesting.
This is concerned with internal sessions: The R/3 System offers the option to change from one information level to another: by branching in the menu path (for example "Goto" or "Information system"), double-clicking in ABAP lists, cross-references in hypertext and so on. Technically speaking, you call one program/transaction from within another one (ABAP/4 statements CALL DIALOG or CALL TRANSACTION, but not CALL SCREEN). For the user, it is desirable that this process is reversible, that is, that you can also go back step by step. The whole path is therefore stored in a stack of so-called internal sessions. If the maximum number of internal sessions is reached, you cannot go any further.
<b>This maximum number is hardcoded as 9, and this cannot be changed.</b>
    Regards
    Raj

  • Unable to open SAP Screen Painter on the current desktop.

    Hi,
Whenever I try to open Screen painter through SAP GUI I am thrown with an error message "EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'". This error has been occurring since I have changed my workstation. When I use my SAP login ID on a different desktop, screen painter is working fine. This means that the problem is not with the SAP login or the SAP server, the problem lies with the GUI or current desktop setting. Please look into this issue and help resolving this issue. Please revert if any further information is required.
I have already tried/checked the below steps:
    1. Reinstalled SAP GUI.
    2. gnetx.exe and eumfcdll.dll is already present in my system.
    3. I have checked the setting, Utilities->Settings->Screen Painter->Graphical Layout Editor (Checked)
The issue is when is tested the RFC conection " EU_SCRP_WN32" it gives me the below error.

Edited by: OsTrY on Sep 15, 2010 12:22 PM

    Hi,
I haven't encountered this problem before even though I have worked with PM01 quite a bit over the years. Can you desrcibe a a bit more about your proplem please? Especially whether your screen element list looks OK and whether the problem exists regardless of old or new screen painter for layouting.

  • How do you open graphical screen painter

    Hi all-
I'm using PlatinGUI 6.30r2.  How do I open the graphical screen painter (after going into object navigator, I want to place controls on a screen)?
I clicked Layout, but get what appears to be a bunch of horizontal lines-- nothing like a screen painter.
    thanks,
    Kevin

Actually, the GUI provided on the CD is 6.30r4.  After trying to install I got this:
    rpm –Uvh path/PlatinGUI-Linux-6.30-4.i386.rpm
    >./gui
    JAVA=/usr/lib/java/bin/java: Command not found
    PH=/opt/sapgui/6.30rev4/jar: Command not found
    SOI=/opt/staroffice7/program/classes: Command not found
    JAVA: undefined variable
I read elsewhere on one of these forums that the free GUI on the sneak preview doesn't work so well with the database (and learned this by sad experience myself), so I downloaded and installed an earlier version from the website:
    ftp –d ftp.sap.com
    name: anonymous
    pw: email account
    cd to /pub/sapgui/
    get PlatinGUI-Linux-630r2.jar
I installed that with java –jar PlatinGUI-Linux-630r2.jar, but I didn't see any prompts about installing specific components, so I have no idea what you are referring to (must be on the software that people pay for).  That is the version I am currently using, and it is working fine except for this graphical screen painter is not coming up.  Now my ABAP book is from 2002, so I'm sure it is included somewhere.  Do you have any suggestions?  Don't worry, you will get your points.
    thanks-

  • Windows Vista and Graphical Screen painter (SE51)

    Hi,
I am using Windows Vista Business Service pack 1.  SAP GUI 7.1 with patch 9.
When I try to launch a graphical screnn painter tool such as SE51, I am always greeted by a Character screen painter.
I have tried all options by changing settings in control panel, on SAP GUI etc but of no use.
If it sounds familiar to anybody, request you to please share your efforts to enable graphical screen painter.
    your response is much appreciated/awarded.
    Regards
    Kasi

  • ABAP Dump - Graphical Layout Editor

Hi...I get an ABAP Dump when I try to start the Graphical Layout Editor (to modify a screen layout). Here are a few lines from the dump:
    <b>&INCLUDE INCL_INSTALLATION_ERROR
    What happened?
The current program had to be terminated because of an error when installing the R/3 System. The program had already requested 789763632 bytes from the operating system with 'malloc' when the operating system reported after a further memory request that there was no more memory space available.
    What can you do?
Make a note of the actions and input which caused the error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion  date.
    Set the system profile parameters
    - abap/heap_area_dia
    - abap/heap_area_nondia to a maximum of 789763632. Then reduce the value by 10.000.000 to be on the  safe side.
    Then restart the SAP System.
    </b>
    <u>Here's what I know so far:</u>
<i>- I can logon to SAP but can NOT start Graphical Layout Editor from my machine using my user account.
    - Other people can logon to SAP but can NOT start Graphical Layout Editor from my machine using their user accounts.
    - I can logon to SAP and start Graphical Layout Editor from a DIFFERENT machine using my own user account.
    - Other people can logon to SAP and start Graphical Layout Editor from a DIFFERENT machine using their own account.</i>
I have access to more than one SAP systems (different SAP instances) and I have tested the following:
<i>- I can logon to a different SAP system/server (from this same machine) and start the Graphical Layout Editor without error.
    - Other people can logon to a different SAP system/server (from this same machine) and start the Graphical Layout Editor without error.</i>
The problem is not likely with low memory on my machine because I have 2 GB RAM whereas these other computers I've tested only have 512 MB or 1 GB memory. I don't see how the problem could be with the SAP server when other people are able to start the Graphical Layout Editor from their machines and even I can start it from their machines. The problem can't be with the SAPGUI files on my machine because I can start the Graphical Layout Editor using a different SAP system/server. I am completely stumped. Any ideas??

I have already done the following:
    - Uninstall SAP GUI using the "Add Remove Programs" & reinstall it
    - Uninstall SAP GUI using the option provided by SAPGUI setup & reinstall it
    - Uninstall SAP GUI using the option provided by SAPGUI setup & rename the folder "C:\Program Files\SAP" then install it again.
    - Upgrade from SAPGUI v6.40 to v7.10. I'm now using v7.10
Don't forget that I <b><u>am</u></b> able to start the Graphical Layout Editor for a different SAP server using this same SAPGUI from this same computer. I don't think the problem is with SAPGUI but I appreciate your response.

  • Graphical Screen Painter

    Hi Experts,
I need to design screen. when i use Layout in Se51 tcode system gives "Graphical Screen Painter is not avaliable. Continue with Alphanumeric Editor?" What is the problem? How to resolve it?
I already check the Graphical Screen Editor checkbox under SETTINGS also. still the same message is coming..
    pls guide
    Thanks

    HI,
Its a problem with the GUI installation... You uninstall and again reinstall... Even then if you face the problem then uninstall and if any new version available go with it or if you have only one version then Goto REGEDIT and delete the DLL's and Configurations logs and install again freshly..
Be careful while deleting DLL's in REGEDIT..
IF you know you do it or else dont TOUCH THAT.
Better than the best go for the new version if you are using old which would definitely help you.
*If you are working in Client System then cross check with Basis Team..
    Or
Check the patch level of your GUI and download a new patch and install it.. This will also solve your issue..*
Hope this would solve your problem

  • No responce from Graphical Screen Painter - Exiting

    Hi,
I am facing problem in a TCP/IP connection. While testing the connection EU_SCRP_WIN32, It shows the connection test OK. But after that it shows a screen saying "Starting layout editor program..."  After that it shows a error screen saying " No responce from Graphical Screen Painter - Exiting."
I have installed SAPGUI patch 9. The file gnetx.exe is also there in Path C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance,
    Suresh

    Hi
Error "gnetx.exe: no response from graphical screen painter - exiting"
basically occurs when we have RFC problem.
Some causes for this erros are incorrect or missing RFC definitions of the RFC destination EU_SCRP_WN32.
Thats why connection test is failing in that. Check all the RFC destinations and definitions properly through SM59 tcode.
Also keep in mind that the graphical layout editor cannot be operated through a firewall (f.e: between the SAP and the customer system).
Please, check SAP Note 101971 regarding all the possible causes for problems with the RFC link setup.
Also check SAP Note 204910 which can help you to fix the error.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind Regards
