ABAP Script value incorrectly reflected in ADOBE form interface.

Hi ,
I have an issue. In ABAP Script, the unit of measure value for VBDPL-VRKME is 'STK'. But it is printed as 'EA' in ADOBE form.
Would you please suggest me an idea to fix this issue as I am new to SAP not much aware of fixing issues other than debugging.

Go to SE11 for table VBDPL. Find field VRKME and double-click the data element. Then double-click the domain...MEINS. You'll note that MEINS has the CONVERSION routine populated. After you do a read on the database, call the conversion routine Function module (double-click the conversion field to get the name) to convert the database value to the display value. This is what SAP programs do when there is a conversion routine... In this case, you'll probably find that the EA is correct because 'EA' is likely the user-display value for database value STK.

Why don't you have two different text fields in the interface and bind them separately at the two different places in the form. In the driver program you can control the value being passed to be same for both the fields.

Value Help in Interactive Adobe Form in Web Dynpro

I have to provide a value help for certain Fields in Interactive Adobe Form using Web Dynpro ABAP. I have managed to get the Value Help Popup for the fields using Java Script in Adobe, but the problem is that whenever I select the Value from the Value Help, the selected value in not getting populated in the field....
Please let me know the solution in case any one of you come across such kind of requirement.

Urgent !!! - Java script help for events in adobe form

Hi ,
We have requirement where we have 5 buttons on interactive form which will retrive data from R/3 system .
1) How can i distingish the event of each button ?
For Ex : We have 5 buttons namely , GetPlantcode , GetStatus, SubmittpSAP etc..
We hav only 2 events on adobe form - Submit to SAP and SAPCheckFields.
Please let me know some alternative by which i can sent some variable to webDynpro which distinguishes them.
2) How to set a value for the context variable on button click event ?
Ex : I have a context node ( data node ) bind to adobe interactive adobe component on a webDynpro application. If i want to set Selectindicator ( value attribute in data Node ) a value on a button click , Please let me know the java script how i can do this.

Hi ,
We found one work around for this. It seems to solve our issue for now.
Set a text field on adobe and try to set it with some value in each button click. We can get retrived that value in webdypro application through context bind value node to text field.
Using the value in the value node we have applied different logic in same event submit to SAP.

First, have you set a breakpoint in this code and made sure that you are getting data into lt_image_bin? That would seem to be the first place to start.
Then the question is how are you trying to pass the image into the Adobe Form? Are you passing an XSTRING context attribute into the form interface? Have you marked that part of the interface as an image? Are you setting the MIME Type parameter of the form interface as well. You really haven't posted any details about what you are doing on the Adobe Form side.

Can we store values @run time in Adobe Forms when there are multiple views

Hi,
I am new to Web dynpro Java - Adobe Forms. I working on a solution for the following scenario.
I have 3 Views (each an adobe Form) in a web dynpro component.
I have to capture the user entered values in View1 and View2 (PDFs) and display them in VIew 3 (another PDF)
I am able to capture the values in the recent view. (view2) but the values from the view1(Context elements ) are cleared.
Can I hold or store the values from the first view like we do in java using session variables??
Also, if there is any other way out, please let me know.

Hi Saujanya,
This could by caused by the network, the used browser or additional browser plugins. Try to do the following:
1. Test with an alternative browser (if you are on a SP which supports different browsers than IE, see PAM, http://service.sap.com/pam): If it works with Firefox, then you know the problem is caused by IE and not by the OS, network, ...
2. Deactivate/uninstall all additional browser plugins/add-ons (like google toolbar, Yahoo toolbar, ...)
3. Create a client trace as explained in SAP note 999998. Maybe there's a hint in the trace. Watch for something like "ERROR".
4. Install a HTTP sniffer (like "fiddler") on both machines and compare the network traffic. Maybe there's a request with a 4xx HTTP status code?
5. How is the machine connected to your network? Is it behind an additional webproxy?

ABAP WD application using Select Options & Adobe form :Don't see form data

I am trying to get multiple PDF forms by passing multiple order numbers.I was able to get one PDF form successfully and now I am enhancing this application.
For doing this I have created nested WD Context .
1) Created a Node for Selections. ND_SELECT ,
Cardinality: 1..n ,
Selection: 1..n ,
Intialization lead Selection : Checked ,
Singleton : Checked
2) Created a Node for Output Structures ADOBE_DATA
Properties same as above
3) As we need Nesting Under ADOBE_DATA node I have created a subnode for Header: HEADER
Properties same as above
4) Under HEADER node I have created a items Node : ITEM
Properties same as above
As I have used Select-options and I am getting both header and Item data in to button search method .

Created one MainForm and its properties are

Inside this Mainform I have created a small table ITEMTABLE with 3 fields and mapped it item data.

Hi John,
In the WD4A view, there is a button "Show/Hide Layout Preview".
Click on that button to be able to see the Layout.
Note that this button is next to the Pretty Print button.

i tried to list all the things u need to know to create your interface:
1.      Open the required interface in the Repository Browser of the ABAP Workbench.
2.      The Interface tab is displayed. Under Form Interface, double-click the Import node
3.      You see a screen for entering import parameters. This screen also shows the standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS. You cannot change this parameter.
You use this parameter in your application program, to specify the value for the language setting, for example. To display this structure in the ABAP Dictionary, double-click the SFPDOCPARAMS type.
4.      XML schema-based interface
○     The standard parameter /1BCDWB/DOCXML with the type XSTRING is used for sending data from the application program.
ABAP-based or Smart-Forms-compatible interface
○     To insert a new line, choose Insert Line (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text). Enter the parameter names of the data you want to import. These names are valid for the whole form and do not have to match the variable names in the data collection program. All data types are valid. TYPE can be selected under Type Assignment.
5.      When you double-click Export, you see the standard parameter /1BCDWB/FORMOUTPUT of the generated function module. You cannot change this parameter.
Note: You use this parameter in your application program, to make the generated form available as a PDF for further processing, for example.
6.      To display the exceptions used by the generated function module, double-click Exceptions.
7.      Activate the interface.
Note: At runtime, the application program must provide the parameters. If a parameter has been defined in the form, but is not defined when the application program is called, then the output of the form ends with the program crashing (hex dump).
However, it is also possible that the application program provides parameters that the form does not need. You do not need to mention these parameters in the form; they can also be specified in a different order from the code of the application program. This has the advantage that an application program can work with several different forms.

Fill DDL based on other field values in offline interactive adobe form

I have a requirement where in i need to fill the values for a dropdown list based on 3 other field values in offline adobe interactive forms which uses web service to interact with SAP.

Hi Soumya,
It is possible but a little bit tough and will make your form heavier.
The solution is advisable only when there is not very much data required for the drop down(May be not more than 500 values as it will create performance issue).
You can create a hidden table on the form contaning data for all the combinations. Depending on the selection of another 3 fields you can write the code to select only those values from this hidden table which are applicable to that selection. These values you can add to the drop down list removing the previous values.
Only you have to do is on calculate or vlaidate event of target DDL you have to write your code.
Pseudocode:
1. Clear your DDL using deleteItem() method.
2. Loop at your hidden table.
3. Inside the loop check for applicable entries depending on selection in other 3 fields.
4. Select the appropriate vlaues
5. Add using additem method().
Refer formCalc or JavaScript help for the appropriate code.

Do we need to have ABAP stack also on Portal, for the development and execution of Interactive forms on Portal?

installation isn't my hobby and I can't tell you about possibilities of upgrading.
For WebDynpro ABAP your abap stack must be NW 2004s. Your java stack with ADS must also be NW 2004s because communication between ADS on NW 04 and abap stack on NW 2004s doesn't work - thread "Run JAVA netweaver2004s and ADS 7.0 together with ECC 5.0 "
But here is certainly someone who can describe it more precisely.

Calling adobe form from webdynpro abap view

Hi,
I need some help. The situation is: I have created a Adobe form interface as well as a form using the SFP transaction. Now, I have a webdynpro screen with a button, which upon pressed must give the output of the PDF form.
I tried the following steps:
1. Call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
2. Call 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
3. Call the generated function module name
4. Call FP_JOB_CLOSE.
The procedure works fine when I use the same code in a report program. It opens a dialog box where there is a option for Print preview and it displays the PDF.
But when I try to replicate the same, it does not work in Webdynpro for ABAP. Any suggestions as to how to go about this problem?

there is documentation on the Web Dynpro for ABAP integration of Interactive Forms in the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/aa/940ee5331b4b8fa0a6cb6714dc5db4/frameset.htm which should answer most of your questions.
You specify the form to be used during the design of your Web Dynpro application (you are prompted to determine it when you insert the UI element).
You can save the form from the Reader toolbar, the question would be why would you want to do this and not use a proper download screen.

Search Help in online adobe form WDABAP

Hi,
How to get F4 help in online adobe form? If the values are maintined in the domain then in the form Im able to see all the values by using Enumarated drop down. But if for the particular filed any Value Table is assigned , then how to get those values in F4 of Adobe form? It can be done by binding to UI elemtn or Do I need to do any coding for getting this?
Actually I have gone through few links in SDN but Im not clear. Im not working on ISR. It is a normal BAPI and adobe form is designed based on that BAPI and form is ZCL type.

Adobe Form output cropped when sent directly from SAP to printer

I have created an Adobe Form (not interactive) that looks perfectly OK when previewed in Adobe Acrobat viewer but when printed blank margins of 4-5 millimeters are applied on all 4 paper edges. The form was designed with a coloured frame around it but the margins effectively remove most of the frame. The form content is being cropped instead of being compressed inside the margins.
The form has been created with LiveCycle Designer via SAP transaction SFP. I am generating the form from an ABAP program
When the form is printed from the Adobe Acrobat viewer I have the option to set Page Scaling to 'Fit to Printable Area'. This makes the form content being compressed inside the blank margins and the coloured frame remains intact. If I leave the Page Scaling setting as 'None' the output is being cropped as described above.
The real problem occurs when I want to print without previewing first. I need to do that since previewing enables the user to skip printing and the application must know if the form has been printed or not. I have so far found no way to make the printer print on the paper edges or fit the content to printable area. Is there some setting in the output parameters than handles this?
Also there is a need for duplex printing when sending form directly to printer. On help.sap.com there is information about duplex print for SAPscript and Smartforms but nothing for Adobe Forms.
Here is an excerpt of the ABAP code used for printing the Adobe Form:

However I need some more specific information to solve this.
Which printer layout settings are relevant for the handling of margins and duplex printing for Adobe Forms?
I have not set up the printer myself but when talking to the printer guy which settings should I recommend him to look at?
I can see in transaction SPAD that there are settings specific to SmartForms but there is nothing said about Adobe Forms. Is there some way to make Adobe Forms related setting appear in SPAD for a device type?
Maybe my problem is not related to the printer device settings but rather to the way the printer is being called. When printing duplex we will have to override the default settings of the printer anyway.
Function module FP_JOB_OPEN has a parameter structure of the type SFPOUTPUTPARAMS. Which fields in this parameter structure are to be manipulated to get duplex print and output fitted to page size?
