About calling the memorybuffer......
Hello everyone....i've writen the following code:
import java.io.*;
public class UserInfo {
public static void main(String[] args)
throws IOException {
String k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r;
BufferedReader stdin = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(System.in));
System.out.print("First name:");
k=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("Last name:");
l=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("D.O.B:");
m=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("Address:");
n=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("Town:");
o=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("Postcode:");
p=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("Phone:");
q=stdin.readLine();
System.out.print("E-Mail:");
r=stdin.readLine();
try {
DataOutputStream out = new DataOutputStream(
new BufferedOutputStream(
new FileOutputStream("Data.txt")));
out.writeUTF(k);
out.writeUTF(l);
out.writeUTF(m);
out.writeUTF(n);
out.writeUTF(o);
out.writeUTF(p);
out.writeUTF(q);
out.writeUTF(r);
out.close();
DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(
new BufferedInputStream(
new FileInputStream("Data.txt")));
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
System.out.println(in.readUTF());
} catch (NumberFormatException e) {
System.out.println(e);
I ve done this in order to expand the information about the users that will use my bankaccount program.Now i want these information to be retrieved from the file that they re being saved when the bank is opened and stored to a memory buffer.then the memory should be updated after every transaction and be closed when the bank is closed....how can i do this....???
This thread shows one approach you could use:
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=31&thread=308693
And here is a class you can use to test it:
public class MemberTester
public static void main(String[] args)
FlatFileMemberManager mm = new FlatFileMemberManager( "members.txt" );
System.out.println( mm );
Member m1 = new Member( "abc", "123", "rob", "[email protected]" );
Member m2 = new Member( "def", "111", "bob", "[email protected]" );
Member m3 = new Member( "zzz", "222", "ted", "[email protected]" );
Member m4 = new Member( "yyy", "333", "sam", "[email protected]" );
System.out.println( m1 );
mm.add( m1 );
mm.add( m2 );
mm.add( m3 );
mm.add( m4 );
System.out.println( mm );
System.out.println( mm.get("abc") );
System.out.println( mm.get("rob") );
mm.delete( m2.getUserid() );
System.out.println( mm );
}

Stolen iTouch thinking about calling the police? What do you think?
Guys I am desperate and I am serching all over the interenet and seeing if the police can do much. Here is what I found:
Go to the police and report it stolen. Give them the serial number and they will enter it into NCIC, and if it is turned into any police station they will check NCIC and you'll get it back. If you don't report and stolen and your boss is the one who stole it then you can't do much because it isn't technically "stolen" because you don't have a report. It's great that you have the serial number. Best of luck to you"
Do I tell them the Serial Number, and the file a court order, or thats what I heard.
Can the thief get caught even if they restored the iTouch?
Can the police talk to apple and ask them to get the serial number of a certain device and where it was used or even the Apple ID used on that device?I just saw this yahoo answer thing
Can you track a stolen iPod touch 4g AFTER it's been stolen.?
Well, you see... I lost mi ipod touch at school, somewhere between 2-5th period. And I have the serial number. Is there ANY way I can track it.?! Everyone keeps telling me "Call Apple..." But I've read articles about this that says things like... "Apple won't do **** to help you, they say they can't track it, but it's only because they want consumers to buy more product..." or whatever... also, everything says you have to install a tracking app BEFORE the ipod is stolen. Well, that being the case I havn't, obviously. But there must be SOME way, anyway I can track it. So if you can help/support mi, please comment. And DON'T say anything like "Your outa luck...." or any **** like that. Yahoo! Answers are for help, not rejection theory. Thank you : )

How do I go about calling the Whiteboard toolbar's functions externally?
I intend to have a toolbar on the page that makes use of the externalinterface to initiate the pen marker tool and so on. Wondering where I should look for this as I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
Hi Gustavo,
Its possible to build your own toolbar inside Flex, and call your code that creates a custom tool bar through an external interface call.
But its not straight forward though. Please explore WhiteboardCustomShapes sample app for your reference. Also you might want to explore the WBShapesToolBar.dataProvider property. Its not well documented, but manipulating this property would allow you to create your own custom tool bar.
Thanks

Does it matter if I call the same UDF several times in my mapping?
Hi !
I have to map one TXT file to an IDOC. One field of the source file is needed to define values of several IDOC target fields.
I've developed an advanced java UDF that receives the source field, calls an RFC via JCO to convert the source value, and returns the converted value.
Then I use this UDF as part of the graphical mapping, to define the values of about 10 or 15 fields of the IDOC. That is, the UDF is placed 10 or 15 times, one time for each target field.
My doubt is if this an expected way of solving this kind of problem..I'm worried about calling the UDF (RFC via JCO) about 15 times for each source file record...and they could be 1000 aprox !
I've added a trace, and a global variable, and inside the UDF, I check if the current input value is equal the last processed value, if it is that case, then I return automatically the buffered value (in a global variable), avoiding the call to RFC....
Checking my trace...I see that the UDF is called with several different input values in some random order, so my "optimizacion method" does nothing.
Some ideas?
Thanks. Have a nice weekend.Hi Matias,
we had a similar problem, and we solved it using a java has table stored in the global container.
During the mapping program, every time a new source-value has to be look up, that value becomes a new key of the hash and the result of the RFC call (target-value) is stored in the hash table as the value corresponding to that key.
So this avoid the problem of random calls with different values and you can read from the hash table if a value already exists in the hash table before calling the lookup RFC.
We implemented this solution and it works like a charm
Hope it helps,
Kind Regards,

How to call the collaboration service send e-mail
Hello,
Im trying to call the send e-mail link command (clpGWSendMailLink) via an htmlb button.
Does anybody know how to call a link command or a command group via an htmlb control? Or is there another way to realize?
I couldnt find any information. I also tried to find out which URL is called. But it also ended in smoke.Hi Ardiles,
first, welcom on SDN!
I'm almost sure that there is no trick to call this hardcoded. Please imagine that these commandos are totally embedded within the FlexUI framework, which cares about calling the commands etc.
On the other hand, you can use the service without using the (FlexUI) command. Then you have to care about the visual side on your own but you can use the mailing logic of the service.
Hope it helps

Question about calling batch file by using the System Exec+.vi?
Hi
I have a problem about calling batch file. I know that the system exec is equivalent to "run" in Windows. I called the batch file c:\rtxdos\bs\ch0.bat successfully in the "run" but it didn't work in the LabVIEW program. The dos prompt had an error message "Bad command or file name" and it just happen when I call this batch file in LabVIEW. Why?
Bill.Hi,
Try to set the "working directory" parameter of System exec.vi to the directory where the batch file is located. It may help.
Good luck.

I want to call the WinAPI function-animatewindow in user32.dll to produce some special effect when showing or hidding windows, but i don't know how to using this Win API to achieve my purpose?
Does anyone have an example VI about this application?
Thanks in advance for your help.You have to use the Call Library Function Node to call Windows API functions. The animatewindow function itself has some pretty simple parameters. You first need to get the window handle. There are a set of Windows API Function Utilities (32-bit) for LabVIEW that you can use. In there there is a VI (Get Window Refnum) that gets the window handle. It's a simple call to a Windows API function. You would call the animatewindow function in the same way. In this case there are 3 parameters: the window handle (returned by a FindWindow API call), a DWORD (32-bit integer) for the duration, and another DWORD for the flags.

I just got the ipod nano about 3 weeks ago. It worked great up untill today. It would not turn on, or connect into my computer. I took it back to best buy and they said it had a defulted battery, and that I needed to call the company. So I did and they had me send it in. Will they send me a new ipod, or a refurbished one. I havn't even had the ipod long enough, and I paid good money for it. I'm hoping to get a new one, because it wasn't my fault.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB one and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours. The cracked screen voids any warranty you had on the iPod.

Calling the Java Method in PL/SQL Java Stored procedure errors out
Hi,
I could not find a suitable thread to post my PL/SQL question so iam posting it here.........
I have written a java class by name XYZ which has a method ABC for which there are 9 arguements being passed and its a VOID method.
This java class has been loaded into ORACLE using DBMS_JAVA.LOADJAVA pkg, Now this class is being called in the oracle as a JAVA Stored procedure...... When ever im trying to call the procedure it throws the following error
ORA-29531: no method
*Cause: An attempt was made to execute a non-existent method in a
Java class.
*Action: Adjust the call or create the specified method.
The code snippet as follows
JAVA CODE:
Class xyz
public static void Abc (String hostName,
int port,
String serviceURL,
String soapAction,
int timeOut,
String wsUser,
String wsPasWd,
String keyStore,
String keyStorePasWd)
//method implementation
JAVA STORED PROCEDURE:
create OR REPLACE procedure ABC_JAVA_SP_CALL
(p_hostname in varchar2, p_port in number, p_serviceurl in varchar2, p_soapaction in varchar2, p_timeout in number, p_wsuser in varchar2, p_wspasswd in varchar2, p_ks_path in varchar2, p_ks_passwd in varchar2)
as
language java
name 'xyz.Abc(java.lang.String, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String)';
When i try to call
declare
p_hostname varchar2(100);
p_port number;
p_serviceurl varchar2(100);
p_soapaction varchar2(100);
p_timeout number;
p_wsuser varchar2(100);
p_wspasswd varchar2(100);
p_ks_path varchar2(100);
p_ks_passwd varchar2(100);
begin
//SP which returns the values for the required parameters.

This thing ends up with

I could not find a suitable thread to post my PL/SQL question so iam posting it here.........You got the hint to the correct forum alread in another thread {message:id=10837976}
And if you think this is not related to Java but PL/SQL, then you should ask in {forum:id=75} -
On an iphone 4s, when I tap the phone number in my contacts list instead of calling the number it goes to a "Welcome to mail" screen with icloud, Microsoft exchange, Gmail, Yahoo, Aol & Windows Live Hotmail listed beneath. How do I make it call the number instead?
Never heard of that. I suspect it thinks that's an email address and you're seeing that screen b/c you don't have an email account setup on your iPhone.
Assuming the number is valid, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings. -
Unable to call the RFC from the WD java Program
Hi All,
I have a table and three buttons Create, Edit, Save in the layout.
If no record available in the R3 the the end user will click on create and then he will click on save so that the insert RFC will be called accordingly and the record will be inserted.My table is limited to 5 records only. If i enter all the 5 records and Click on submit the record is inserting in the backend , but if i enter less than 5 records im unable to call the RFC what might be the issue.
My insert RFC takes one Table node and 4 import parameters i'm passing all of the all the mentioned import parameters.

This method conceptually belongs to the view itself, not to the

It is made static to discourage a way of programming that

//@@begin javadoc:wdDoPostProcessing()
Hook called to handle data retrieval errors before rendering.
After doModifyView(), the Web Dynpro Framework gets all context data needed
for rendering by validating the contexts (which in turn calls the supply
functions and supplying relation roles). In this hook, the application
should handle the errors which occurred during validation of the contexts.
Using preorder depth-first traversal, this hook is called for all component
controllers starting with the current root component.
Permitted operations:
- Flushing model queue
- Creating messages
- Reading context and model data
Forbidden operations:
- Invalidating model data
- Manipulating the context
- Firing outbound plugs
- Creating components

Hook before the navigation phase starts.
This hook allows you to flush the model queue and handle any
errors that occur. Firing outbound plugs is allowed in this hook.
Using preorder depth-first traversal, this hook is called for all component
controllers starting with the current root component.

//@@begin javadoc:wdDoApplicationStateChange()
Hook that informs the application about a state change.
<p>
This hook is called e.g. to tell the application that will be
<ul>
<li>left via a suspend plug and therefore should go into a suspend/sleep
mode with minimal need of resources. errors that occur. Firing
outbound plugs is allowed in this hook.
<li>left due to a timeout and could write it's state to a data base if the
user comes back later on
</ul>
The concrete reason is available via IWDApplicationStateChangeInfo
<p>
<b>Important</b>: This hook is called for the top level component only!
@param stateChangeInfo contains the information about the nature of the state change
@param stateChangeReturn allows the application to ask for a different state change.
The framework is allowed to ignore it considering i.e. the current resources situation.
