About Filter.

Dear all:
I write a filter to re-write the response html document.
I write a test.html like below:
<html>
<body>
<form action="test.jsp" method="get" >
<input type="text" name="TEST" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
</form>
</body>
</html>
I try to get the input parameter in test.jsp.
It is stranger that I can get the parameter if I set the method="GET",
but I cannot get it if I set the method="POST"!
Why??
Thanks a lot.

It should work, I tested a small test program and it worked for GET as well as POST methods. Can I see your jsp?

  • Another BW question about filter in the query definition

    Hi ,
    I have another question about filter in the query definition.
    <u>Question:</u>
    Which of the following objects can be filtered in the query definition?
    A. characteristic
    B. Key figure
    C. Structure
    D. Units
    E. Hierarchy
    My answer is A,B,D,E.
    The answer in the book is A,B,D
    Can anybody tell me which one is wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Liu Jia

    HI
    1.The answer could be A,B,D.you can not apply filters on hierarchies
    2.Whenever there is a change in Attribute data(like Location,Num etc...)that has to be reflected in all aggregates of the cube.Thsi can be done by running "ATTRIBUTE CHANGE RUN".

  • Question about filter-mappings in the web.xml

    I'm a bit new this so apologies if this is a stupid question but want to write a filter mapping that captures /image/<identifier here> and /image/<identifier here>/size/<size here>
    I would have assumed <url-pattern>/image/*</url-pattern> would do this but it doesn't. When I try a URL with /size/ in it, I get a File not found error.
    So I tried adding a second mapping that uses <url-pattern>/image/*/size/*</url-pattern> and that doesn't work either.
    What would be the best way to write a filter mapping that captures both /image/<identifier here> and /image/<identifier here>/size/<size here> ?

    Thanks for the reply.
    I did end up doing something like that in the end. I think I just couldn't get my mind into gear as usual on Monday.
    What's happening is taking a nice neat human readable URL and converting it to the horrible URL used by the system. The reason it's a filter is because someone had written a tiny filter would might only execute 20 lines of code and I think someone felt it was easier to just lump about 240 more lines to execute on each request, which, even if it isn't a huge strain on the system it's nasty and most of the code is unnecessary the vast majority of the time. I'm splitting it up the whole lot based on the various tasks.
    This particular functionality could be a servlet. I probably would have done it that if given the task from scratch but I think sometimes I put too much faith in the fact those with more experience should know better. I think I'll try it as a servlet and if someone has concerns about it then I'll ask them to explain to me why it can't be one.

  • Question about filter VI in LabVIEW.

    I am using LabVIEW 7.  I am trying to reduce the noise in a voltage signal that I am sending to LabVIEW.  When I use the filter VI (Functions> Signal Analysis> Filter), the output signal looks like the frequency response of the filter.  I need to simply get the filtered signal in the time domain.  How can I get this?
    Are there other ways to reduce the noise of a signal in LabVIEW?
    Thank you.

    There are a couple things that stick out in my mind. First if you are using the the Express Filter VI, you need to make sure that you know at about what frequency the signal you are acquiring is at. That way you can appropriately set up the filter to get rid of any components you don't want. Since you are wanting to do a time domain, a straight DC voltage won't show any results. Most noise on acquired signals is 60Hz noise, so I would suggest using the appropriate filter to get rid of that noise. If this doesn't help get rid of the noise, it might be an issue with how you are acquiring your signal. In that case you need to let us know how you are acquiring the signal, what hardware your using, and the specs of the acquistion. That way we can come up with some suggestions on what we could do from the hardware end.
    There are also some generic filter VIs located in All Functions>>Analyze>>Signal Processing>>Filters that you could try using to see if you have any success. Let us know how it goes.

  • Question about Filter

    Hi there,
    If a Filter is mapped to a servlet, the request from browser will be processed by Filter first. My questions are:
    1) Can we set Filter to JSP or other static components?
    2) If the request is forward from another web component, will the request be processed by Filter? or Filter just works for request from browser?
    Thanks a lot!

    As usually the answer comes few hours after the question have been made ...
    I found this presentation:
    http://developers.sun.com/events/techdays/presentations/seattle/J2EEandAdvancedFeatures.pdf
    at page 7 you can read:
    One of the ambiguous areas in previous version of Servlet is in
    regard to the interaction between the RequestDispatcher and
    filters. Should filters invoke for forwarded requests? Included
    requests? What about for URIs invoked via the <error-page>
    mechanism? Before Servlet 2.4, these questions were left as open
    issues. Now Servlet 2.4 makes it a developer's choice. There's a
    new <dispatcher> element in the deployment descriptor with
    possible values REQUEST, FORWARD, INCLUDE, and
    ERROR.
    This means you need servlet 2.4 to manage the situation!

  • Databind method call returns null in WebCenter Content Filter

    Hi,
    I have inherited some code that has an issue and I'm new to WebCenter Content and the Filters that can be added. We have a FileNameFilter class that starts off with the code
    public class CWEFileNameFilter implements FilterImplementor {
        public CWEFileNameFilter() {
            super();
        public int doFilter(Workspace workspace, DataBinder dataBinder,
                            ExecutionContext executionContext) throws DataException {
            String service = dataBinder.getLocal("IdcService");
    However, service sometimes comes back null and then the filter throws a NPE.
    My questions are:
    1) Can anyone explain what dataBinder.getLocal("IdcService"); is doing and why it could come back as null
    2) Can anyone provide any links to documentation that explains Filters and a bit more about the DataBinder object as the JavaDoc isn't much help.
    Thanks
    Marc

    Hi Marc,
    Below code will give service name for which filter is implemented  from LocalData
    String service = dataBinder.getLocal("IdcService");
    for example below
    http://localhost:16200/cs/idcplg?IdcService=DOC_INFO_BY_NAME&dDocName=1111111&IsJava
    This will print entire response data including localdata and results which are created as part of service execution. Below is snippet
    <?hda version="11.1.1.8.0PSU-2015-04-01 00:14:53Z-r126309" jcharset="UTF8" encoding="utf-8"?>
    @Properties LocalData
    DocUrl=https://localhost:16200/cs/weblayout/groups/secure/documents/test/mhdk/mjg1/1111111.pdf
    IdcService=DOC_INFO_BY_NAME
    so String service = dataBinder.getLocal("IdcService"); will be service ="DOC_INFO_BY_NAME".
    Below blog will give some idea about filter but best place to learn or start is "The Definitive Guide to Stellent Content Server Development" by Brian Huff

    Also i would recommend reading "WebCenter Content Services Reference Guide"

  • SpryNestedXMLDataSet.js filter error = typo in script?

    I have seen some topic popping around on the forum here and
    there, about filter that aren't working on nested datasets.
    So I went to check out this source code. And found something
    wrong
    On line 381 u will find
    Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet.prototype.filterData =
    function(filterFunc, filterOnly)
    if (
    columnNames)
    var dsArr = this.nestedDataSets;
    var dsArrLen = dsArr.length;
    for (var i = 0; i < dsArrLen; i++)
    dsArr
    .dataSet.filterData(filterFunc, filterOnly);
    I bolded the error as it should be filterFunc instead of
    column names.
    Do the same with function under it. so u have:
    Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet.prototype.filterData =
    function(filterFunc, filterOnly)
    if (filterFunc)
    var dsArr = this.nestedDataSets;
    var dsArrLen = dsArr.length;
    for (var i = 0; i < dsArrLen; i++)
    dsArr.dataSet.filterData(filterFunc, filterOnly);
    Spry.Data.NestedXMLDataSet.prototype.filter =
    function(filterFunc, filterOnly)
    if (filterFunc)
    var dsArr = this.nestedDataSets;
    var dsArrLen = dsArr.length;
    for (var i = 0; i < dsArrLen; i++)
    dsArr
    .dataSet.filter(filterFunc, filterOnly);
    So i wonder if this fixes the filter problems for any1. ( i
    currently don't have data to test, will do some testing to
    morrow)

    Hi V1,
    I fixed that internally prior to the holiday break. I'll
    check with Don to see if we can push it live so folks can get
    access to the updated version of the nested data set files.

  • Filter contours - PS CS5

    Hello
    I have a small problem with a big-generated contour in PS CS5. Sometimes my nature photos coming through art and other filters, and seeking interesting shapes, etc. So far, no problem, some filters only work in 8-bit mode, etc. But I came across a filter contour (stylization). I created from photos with this filter contour - (gray outline on a white background), all OK so far, but the problem came when I wanted to darken the contour. Any tool - curves, levels, brightness, after application darken again after saving back into its original form it is a gray outline. I also tried to duplicate the layer, darkening with blending, etc. everything is always returns after merging layers to its original color - gray. I also tried the contours of other photos and the result was always the same, but the contour is already created with it could not be any load, change it.
    Someone solved a similar problem? Thanks for the advice
    Progress of work: try to do it by the following procedure: a new image as jpg. Create the image contour (filter-styling-contour). There are several lines of color. I'll try to make adjustments - curves, levels, brightness (I try to highlight contours) and after flattening layers changes back to its original state. Transfer only in black and white to change after merging layers appear properly incurred and gray lines. I want them to darken as through the levels, etc. but again, the resulting graphics will become gray. There was no in foreign forums I have not found the answer, what it will be.

    Are you talking about Filter>Stylize>Trace Contour?
    If so, you might try running the filter again with the same settings to darken the lines.
    Also, viewing an image at 100% view (actual pixels) will give the most accurate results as other views
    may show different results due to the interpolation that photoshop uses at other viewing percents.

  • How do I automate security filter verification?

    I see "IsValid" but doesn't apply to filters. I see that you can display, create, copy, or drop filters via MAXL, but not verify them. Has anyone ever done this, if so how?

    I guess there's something I don't know about -filter syntax for this command...

    get-aduser -filter {homeDirectory -like "\\faculty\homes\*"} -property homeDirectory

    What gives?

    Hi,
    you need to use the LDAP escape character for \, which is \5c
    So, you could write it like this:
    $DirectoryInfo = Get-Item \\server\share\User1HomeDirectory
    $strFilter = $DirectoryInfo.FullName.Replace("\","\5c")
    $AdUser = Get-AdUser -Filter {homeDirectory -like $strFilter}

    Executing the report fails when @P1 = (‘kid’,’adult’) & @P2 = ‘all’

    SSRS expanded @P1 into its values then substituted @P1 with 'kid','adult' in the query's text, then sent the text to SQL server using sp_executesql().
    This substitution invalidates the SQL syntax.  The report fails.
    For me to implement this simple example with only 2 parameters in separate queries in the report where @P1 &/ @P2 can each separately be {= 'all', or 1 value, or more than 1 value} will take 4 separate queries.
    Query1: IF @P1 = all, @P2 = all BEGIN ... query text 1 ... END
    Query2: IF @P1 != all, @P2 = all BEGIN ... query text 2 ... END
    Query3: IF @P1 = all, @P2 != all BEGIN ... query text 3 ... END
    and
    Query4: IF @P1 != all, @P2 != all BEGIN ... query text 3 ... END
    Each query will have to have a unique WHERE clause.
    In my actual work problem some reports take 8 parameters that will be either 'all', 1 value, or multiple values.
    This means that the report will have to have 64 queries each with its own unique WHERE clause and each query wrapped with its own IF @P..... = 'all' BEGIN ... query text ... END
    Who knows what to do about this issue?
    Hello!

    Hi Stevesl,
    I have tested on my local environment and the query is invalid.
    As
    Jan Pieter Posthuma mentioned that you can just add filter as below in the query, when you set the "Allow multiple values" in the parameter, you will got the "Select All" in the dropdown list, so there is no need to add "all"
    again.
    select * from test_ssl
    where [who] in(@P1) and [recid] in(@P2)
    You can also add filter in the dataset, details information below for your reference:
    By default we can add many filters and the default logic between these filter is "And" and if you want to add some "Or" filters you can reference to the blog below:
    FAQ: How do I implement OR logic or complicated logics for filters in a SSRS report?
    Details information about filter in SSRS :
    Add a Filter to a Dataset (Report Builder and SSRS)
    Because you have a lot of parameters and you can consider add the cascading parameters:
