What is feature about programing on 10g that have been deprecated on 11g?

Hi All
     I knew just about new feature and enhancement on 11g but I don't know about programming feature that have been deprecated or obsoleted on 11g.
     Because my client concerned If they will upgrade to 11g, What have source codes been impacted or need to be rewritten?

Basic questions about programing for J9 VM

I need to create a java application to run on a Pocket PC 2003 OS and I'm limited to using IBM's Websphere J9 Virtual Machine. I'm new to using java in this capacity and therefore have lots of questions which I'm guessing are pretty basic. Despite my best efforts, I've found very little to help me online. Below are a couple questions I have that I'm hoping someone can help me with. Even better, if you know of any resources that could help me with these and other questions, I'd love to have them. Thanks in advance.
1. I'm using standard AWT for the GUI but I'm having problems getting frames, dialogs, etc., to come up in anything less then full screen. setSize() and resize() have no effect, even if I extend the frame and override the setMinimumSize, setPreferredSize, setMaximumSize methods. What do I need to do to get a child window to appear in something less than full screen?
2. I'd like to be able to add menu's to the buttom toolbar (with the keyboard) but have no idea how I would add something to it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
3. When my application gets an iconified event I go ahead and call a System.exit() to exit the application. This doesn't kill the java VM though, which continues to run in the background (taking up plenty of memory). If I run my application using the J9w.exe so that it runs without the console, then not only does the VM continue to run, but I have no way to stop it (the running program list can't see it). Since each time I run my application it starts a new VM, it only takes a couple of times before I'm out of memory and have to do a soft reset of the PDA to make things right. Can I kill the VM when I kill my application?
4. I learn best by looking at example code, but have been unable to find any code people are running on J9. I have the GolfScoreTracker installed and running on my PDA, but the jar file contains only the classes. Since it's supposed to be a demo, I had hoped that the source code would be included, is that hoping too much or is the source code available somewhere? In addition, if you know of any applications out there with available source code that are known to run well on a PocketPC J9 environment I'd appreciate the link.

Hi there, I saw your questions, im currently developing a java pocket pc application as well and here's what i go so far:
AWT seem to be hard to use on pocket pc, instead i recommend that you use SWT, which is a technology developed by eclipse. It's already installed on the eclipse plugins, you just need to download the jar and dll files for the pocket pc. They are available at: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.php
I assume that you already have the J9 working on your device. So you only need to copy the SWT.jar file and the swt-win32-3064.dll to the folder containing the .class files on your device.
Now, on your java IDE(im using eclipse) Add the SWT.jar library to your project which should be on C:/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.win32_3.0.2/ws/win32/swt.jar or something like taht depending on your eclipse root.
Now you are ready to code some SWT, here is a sample program from Carolyn MacLeod, i modified a few things so it could run on the pocket pc but it's almost the same. Once you coded in eclipse run it, then copy the class file from your desktop to your device(There should be like 4 or 5 classes like sample.class, sample$1.class etc. copy all of them) where you put the jar and dll files(If program does not run you may try to rename the dll file for swt-win32-3050.dll instead of 3064.dll). Now after you have everything set up you need to create the lnk file in order to run the program. On your desktop create a new textfile and write the following on it:

Paths depend on your install, and the place where you put your classes and jar file. path for j9w is usually "\Program Files\J9\PPRO10\bin\j9w.exe", and the last word should be the classname.
Currently this form only displays an image on a canvas, click on the browse button and choose a pic and it will display on the canvas. Im trying to connect the form to an oracle database but no success yet on the device.

About program replacement switching on/off button from apple

Helo i am a iphone 5 user from Indonesia and my iphone warranty is expired when this announcement was posted on the website

I contacted all the provider that participated in this program in Indonesia and they said they cant replace my iphone
What should i do ?

Question about program structure.

hi, I am trying to write a GUI program like MSN messenger. right now, I am really confused about my program structure.
Should I put all the things in one class or separate them into GUI class, services class..etc? for example, right now, I have a class responsible for connecting to the server. Should I put it into the GUI class as a nested class or .......? Basically, what is the best structure for GUI program?

Select information about programs of sceduled report sets

Hi,
We would like to get information about all scheduled Report Sets in our production system.
We need names of each 'Report Set', when it's report set - each program under it, and parameters passed for all Report Sets that were scheduled.
For Report set we need to know schedule too.
We use Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2

In this case, you will have to include FND_RUN_REQUESTS tables (and other tables if required -- see eTRM for details) to those queries. I do not have a ready query to share, but I think with the help of the documents referenced above you can write this query.

I don't know anything about programming! What books should I read to start?

I am a complete beginner in programming, but I really wanna code something. So I was thinking: What books should I read to start Cocoa-ing? I don't wish to just choose some book by random and take the risk that it might suck or be to old. All online courses I've found require some previous coding experience (except CocoaLab's one, but it seems to me that it doesn't cover the coding well enough).
Should I read 'The C Programming Language, 2nd edition, by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie' (I've got an access to that book) and then some book that covers Objective C and then some book about Cocoa, or what? What about the 'Dummies' book, is it any good?

Two books are working well for me (I determined to learn Cocoa in March '08), *Programming in Objective-C* by Kochan (2nd Ed.), and *Cocoa Programming For Mac OS X* by Hillegass (3rd Ed.). Kochan's book is extremely good to learn about classes, objects, and general syntax, and assumes absolutely no programming background. There is nothing in there about XCode or Interface Builder. Hillegass' text is good, but really designed for those that have some programming experience and covers some introductory Interface Builder topics as well. It is labor-intensive, though, and to really get the most out of it, you need A LOT of time and a quiet place to work.
I still refer to the CocoaLab document for some things, and there are a number of blogs on learning different aspects of Cocoa out there as well. They are not always easy to find; cocoa, xcode, and then specific NSxxxx class names are the terms that give the best Google results. I have seen rumors that Kochan's book will have a new edition later in the year to cover some of the Objective-C 2.0 topics.

Need info about programming with InCopy

Hi,
I have a client who has stored thousands of InCopy documents with valid styles applied to segments of it.
Now my requirement is to create a template which has XML tag -> Style mapping.
Considering that template, I am suppose to open all the InCopy documents, apply that Tag -> Style mapping to it and then convert all of them to XML and persist the data in DB.
Is there a programmatic way as to apply XML tags to a document based on the styles used?

CO Allocation test run report development (About program AL01800R )

At first, user will use T-CODE KSV5 to execute the cost center distribution.
After that, they want to output a report to analyse the distribution result.
We have an add-on report to realize it.
But now, user department need to output a same report just after KSV5 test run. (simulation report)
The data will not be stored in database after TEST RUN.
So we can't find the distribution result from the database.
We just found an useful function "k_allocations_run", and a program "AL01800R".
Does anyone have a solution to develop the report?

Thank you for your reply.
The test run result isn't enough to support analysis.
we also need to link to other tables (like cost center group table etc.)
For the program AL01800R, If you never run the cycle in your system, you can't find it.
you have to run the cycle one time at least.

Hi,
You can not run this program in back ground. Because there are GUI Functional modules which will not work in background. For this you need RFC. Take technical consultant help.
This program is related to some CO stuff (Result analysis key) . Are you using PS module ?

What about programs like excel and word? college students need these!!!

college students need to be able to access files, send files, and store files using the programs excel and word, why cant i have these on my iphone?

You can email then to your iphone.
Use plain text format when emailing them.
But as for saving them and editing them on the iphone, you can't.
You cannot save or download and save to memory on the iphone.

About program behind transaction

i am trying to debug a standard transaction (fnv1) . i am doind it by getting the name of program . when i execute the program it takes me to another transaction with the same screen (fn15) . however the values which work in fnv1 do not work in fn15. so i am not able to go further and debug the code. is there any way to go ahead

What do you mean by "i am doind it by getting the name of program" ?
Do you mean that you have checked the name of the program in the definition of the transaction and then you start the program from SE38 ?
You should run the trasaction you want to debug in a normal way - by typing t-code. Then, when the first screen of you transaction is displayed, type "/h" in the GUI field in which you enter transaction codes and the press Enter - you get to the debugger with your transaction code.
Besides, you can always try to change field SY-TCODE from within the debugger: just type this name into one of the fields meant for watching variables, type a value for it and press button with pencil icon.
