Does somebody provide me some good materials & links about programming with VBA
in Dektop Intelligence for creating macros ?
I am experienced VBA programmer and beginner in Business Objects

I am not quite sure what either of you are after, but if you hit the "Documentation" link on OTN you will find the documentation, such as the above list, for almost all of Oracle products. Most are available online in HTML format or PDF and some have a part number so that they can be ordered.

Question about programming drums with a midi controller and EZDRUMMER

I have ToonTracks EZdrummer. I am trying to do this. I have a beat I want to put over these guitar tracks but it's too difficult to play all at once. What I wanna do is be able to lay down a steady crash cymbol over and over again till the end of the guitar phrase. After that I want to add in the kick drum and snare, toms etc...How can I do this? I tried just recording over the crashes on the same track with the rest of the beat and it gets all messed up and causes Logic to freak out. How can I do this so that I can record one track of the crash then on another track the kick, snare and/or toms?

There's several different ways to do this, but here's what I do:
I have EZD set up as multichannel, with EZD itself on Instr. 1, plus its 7 AUXs.
I start recording on 1, and play the first part (say your cymbal crashes)
I press Control-Return. This creates a new track underneath Instr. 1 with EZD. Logic record-enables this track
I record part 2, say, the kick.
Control-Return
Then the third part, and so on.
I can then go into any of the individual regions to correct any mistakes, change parameters etc.
Finally, with the first track selected I select the regions and Merge ("=") and all regions are now merged on the original EZD track. I delete the added tracks, and I'm done.

Can my client add a link when editing text with the content management of Business Catalyst?

I created a site using Muse. My client chose to host with BC and take advantage of the content management option. She has edited text to include her email and wants to create a hyperlink from that text to her actual email. Is this possible and if so, do I need to change the user Permissions to allow her to do this?

Yes, she is editing content in the admin panel, but when she edits the text, she just gets the option to change text and update. There is not a button for hyperlink and then email. It seems like linking, something so simple, should be allowed. What do I need to do to allow this to happen for her?

Link Between Business Object and Transaction

Hi Ben,
I'm not sure that you link a business object and a transaction code explicitly. Normally in the business objects methods you have coded what transaction code should be called. Therefore if you use the methods of the business objects it then knows what transaction to call.
Conversely on the workflow side you will find that down in the depths of the coding for VA01 (as an example) it calls workflow function modules and raises events. When doing so it provides the business object id and key to the business object (i.e. the sales order number). Indirectly I guess the change documents that are raised for most things in SAP like sales documents are uniquely identified and therefore can also be translated to the business object key (e.g. sales documents will have their own change document type).
A brief example in my 4.6c system can be found in include LIEDPF4C in the form finsta_kontoauszug_buchen with a call to function SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT. You see the the parameter "object_type" has a variable passed to it "objtype_finsta". If you drill back on objtype_finsta you see that is hardcoded to the value BUS4499.
I guess you could say the developer of the business object knows what transaction codes the business object should use and the developer of the code in the transaction code knows what business objects he should be raising events for if necessary.

Business Objects Financial Consolidation - Excel Link and VBA Macros

We use the excel links of Business Objects Financial Consolidation V10.5 to import and export data to/from BOF and excel
We used VBA macros for the imports but do not know what VBA code is required to export - this code would include the package identifier that has to be selected in the window "Select item Package "

I have a question with program associated with the creation of a virtual instrument of Lab View. 1.Create of virtual instrument based on the NI 9401 module fitted to the chassis NI Compaq DAQ (Ni-cDAQ-9172). Creating a virtual tool needed to implement the following counting impulses in impulse series, visualization of data through a digital indicator, comparing the number of impusite with pre-set value, that value can be assigned by the user. Indicator light when reaching in reaching the set number of pulses, the opportunity to reset the meter of a button on the front panel. Switch to digital output in reaching the set number. I hope someone can help me.

What is your question? You've described what the program is supposed to do, but it's not clear what you're asking about. Do you need help getting started? If so, have you gone through the LabVIEW tutorials? You and look over the material in the NI Developer Zone's Learning Center which provides links to other materials and other tutorials. You can also take the online courses for free. Have you looked through the many examples that ship with LabVIEW for data acquisition?

Can't open an Excel doc (w/ macros and VBA) in Excel 2011 for Mac. Anyone have any ideas (other than using a pc instead)?

I am trying to open a document created in Excel in Windows on my Excel 2011 for mac copy. The issue seems to be related to using the Macros and VB associated with the .xlsm doc. The specific error I get in Excel is:
Compile error in hidden module: Utilities
When I try to open it in an Excel web app, or other online excel environment (whether using Firefox or Chrome) I get this message:

few other forums suggested an issue with adobe add-ins, but I don't show one in the Excel>Tools>Addins dialogue.

The same error message will result from a problem in any add-ins ,thus you should investigate other installed add-ins. It is worth the effort to try to start your excel program in safe mode. About how to use safe mode in Mac OS, Please refer to :http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892428
If this issue is gone in this situation, try to disable add-ins in excel.
In addition, since this issue is related to Excel 2011 for Mac, I would suggest that you post your issue in the following forum:http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac

Ok, I'm not awesome at technological troubleshooting, so if someone could help me, I would be grateful because I'm getting frustrated.
I'm trying to play a silly little game online and it's telling me I need Shockwave. I know I have it because I've played this game before (something time-wasting on addictinggames.com) and I found a file called Shockwave 11 in C:\\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Shockwave 11 with all sorts of things in it.
I checked my Add/Remove Programs list and it says I have Adobe Shockwave 11.5 and that it is used rarely.
Since there seems to be a glitch here that I don't understand, I went to the Download Shockwave page on this site and tried to download the latest version or whatever, if that would work. The gray progress bar moves across under the "Adobe Shockwave Player is now installing" line and then I get an error popup that says:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."
What am I supposed to do? What does this mean? What file? Huh??
I am running Internet Explorer 7 and have Windows XP.
I am a total noob and need to be spoken to like a child. Can anyone please help me?

I clicked on your link (thank you - where did you get that?) and installed the Full version, apparently successfully, though during the download there were a couple of components that were troublesome.
The error message I got during setup read: "Error opening file for writing: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Director\SWDNLD.EXE Click Abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, or Ignore the skip this file." Retry did not work, despite having clicked it 10s of times. I clicked Ignore, then got the same message again, but about a different file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Adobe\Director\SwDir.dll Clicking Retry again did not help move things along, so I ignored this one too. What does this problem indicate? Do I need to do something here?
Those are the only errors encountered during setup. I declined the Google toolbar. The dialog box says Successfully Completed; I clicked Close.
So I go to try to play this game as a test and it says "Installing Shockwave Components" and then I get the same error popup telling me that this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action and that I need to create an association in the Folder Options control panel!
What does this mean and how do I do it, since it appears to be critical to getting this thing to work...?

Convert picture imported to Word document with VBA

I've Word documents that contain acronyms and a macro that searches the document for them so that they can be identified for an acronym table. So far, I can search a document's text and tables but not the pictures with the macro. I've found that if
I manually select the picture, right click and select group->ungroup, I get a MsgBox with the message "This is an imported picture, not a group. Do you want to convert it to a Microsoft Office drawing object?" Selecting the yes button converts
it into many Shapes objects that are then searchable.
I've determined that the picture (object) type prior to conversion is msoPicture and that it gets converted to an msoCanvas object with many Shape objects on it.
I've built a macro that can loop through various Canvas objects and then the Shape objects to find the acronyms. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to convert the image/object from msoPicture to msoCanvas in VBA. Does anyone know how to do

As far as I know, we can’t convert a picture to canvas through VBA.
For that process through the UI, I think it add the canvas first, then add the picture to that canvas.
For your requirement, you could add the canvas first, then add the picture to tat canvas.

How to use a macro with AAA Authorization set?

So!
We have ACS version 4.1, and one goal is to start working on authorization sets for groups. I am able to get basic commands to work, but was curious about making a macro work without having to allow all of the commands that are actually contained wihtin the macro itself.
I'm looking into this to promote standardization and minimize confiugration issues/inconsistencies on ports accross swtiches in our environment.
The macro I created is used for configuring a port on a swtich to change its VLAN. Basically as follows:

In ACS I've created a shell command authorization set, and allowed 'macro' with 'permit apply T2' and 'permit trace T2'. This works fine and allows me to use those macro commands. The problem I'm having is that every command in the macro is not allowed in the authorization set, so when I run the macro it fails for each command.
I don't want to allow each individual command in the authorization set as it would then allow jr. admins the ability to make config changes on ports that would be outside of our standard. For example they could get into a port and forget to disable CDP and LLDP, casuing inconsistencies accross the envrionment. Is there a way to run these macros without putting all of the commands in the authorization set?

How are pictures in Photoshop elements 9 linked to program?

I have 40,00 plus pictures shown in my elements program and since I bought and loaded Photoshop elements 9 (I previously had versions 3,4,5,6,7,8), I get the notice "searching for missing files" and can't use the program software for photo processing. I downloaded all my pictures from Windows 7 pictures on my computer and uninstalled Photoshop Elements 9 from my computer..
When I reinstalled PE 9, my pictures were there even though I had eliminated them (I thought) from my hard drive and the problem of "searching for muissing file" still existed.
How are my pictures attached to PE 9 and how do I eliminate that link and start all over with PE 9?

Ohboy 108Thanks for your suggestions and interest.I downloaded all my pictures to an external hard drive, cleared out my internal hard drive photos and now use my external hard drive as the storage and source.No problem with "Elements" constantly looking for lost files.

My guess is that you have solved the problem but if continues maybe this will help. I had a similar problem where pictures kept showing up in Organizer even though I had deleted the catalog and rebuilt it and even uninstalled and reinstalled PSE 9. I solved it by checking under edit-preferences-files and making sure that the save location was correct. I also changed the catalog location from the default. I suspect that there was a registry entry pointing to the old file and/or catalog location.

Link Verification program giving wrong results?

Hey all,
I wrote a simple link verification program which verifies dynamic links pulled from a database, but the results are not correct. Some valid links turned out to be marked as Error Links. Especially links to some of the pdf files. I am wondering why? Did anyone have similar problems?
