Absence on a holiday related to PA30

Hello.
Currently when creating a new absence on IT2001 it allows the user to save partial absences (time gone that is less then their normal time scheduled to work).
We need the user exit to check the number hours that the specific employee would normally work and then look at the number of hours the absence is trying to create.
If the absence has less (or more) hours then their normal work schedule, the record should not be allowed to save.
The record should only be allowed to save if the hours from IT2001 matches their normal work hours.
Any idea how to acomplish this?
Tanks in advance..

Hi Pranu,
In IT 0007 you have field called daily working hours. You can USE dynamic action on IT 2001 where you can configure one form, in that subroutine you can write the code you required action will be configured in T588Z table.Hope this will help you.You can get more help on dynamic action in forms.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks and Regards,

  • Ways to find tables related to PA30

    Hi all,
    Hi,
I am having the list of transactions.I want to find the list of tables updated by the transaction.
I need the various ways to find the same and let me know the best method for that.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

    Hi ,
Here are the ways I follow . From the transaction find the program name and goto transaction SE80 . Give the program and you will see a tree like where the first one is Dictionary Structures . Expand that and you will see all the tables used for that program . They will have the actual tables that get updated as well as the configuration tables used in that transaction .
The other method is to use the SQL trace .
Please let me know if there are any other methods .
    Thanks .

  • How to create an absence on a non-working day?

    Hi HR experts,
Is it possible to create an absence on a non working day or holiday? I tried to do so and I get all these information messages, until it finally saves. But it wont accept any number of Absence hours. Is there a way to allow it to accept 10 hours of absence for a holiday?
I'd appreciate your insight, thanks in advance!

    hello annalyn,
I think you have got 2 possibilites.
you have to change the absence definitions for entering on free-days
    table: V_T554S
    are you using TM?
if yes, you can change in a rule the working hours.
or second solution would be changing T556C for this absence. also and this i have not tested changing the day type.
    regards
    Stefan

  • Display Additional Absence Details based on Absence Type selected

On Oracle Absence Details screen through SSHR,
Can display of Additional Absence Details fields be related to Absence Type field in any way ? Requirement is to display additional flex fields only for one absence type and not for others but in SSHR, additional absence details fields are always shown irrespective of what user selects.
    Thanks,
    Tanveer

    Hi Tanveer,
Context sensitive DFFs are currently not supported by OAF and there an ER 6625335 logged by Oracle for the same.
In absence of context sensitive DFF you can use the $FLEX$ option, using this option you can define dependent segments which will get enabled only in case of a specific value for all other values the fields will be read-only.
Also, in order to read the absence data while leave application you will have to read the absence_type data from the HTML code stored in the HR_API_TRANSACTIONS table dumped into a column CLOB named TRANSACTION_DOCUMENT. For more details on how to read XML data from HR_API_TRANSACTIONS refer the link http://www.apps2fusion.com/apps-training/apps-functional-documents/ame-sshr/436-parse-xml-hrapitransactions-sshr-hrms-self-service
Hope it helps. Let us know if you need further details.

  • Getting Rid of Holiday music

Anyone know if/when Apple will remove the holiday music from my front page. I'd love to see some suggestions - but since I bought about 30 holiday tracks half my suggestions are holiday related. Holiday is also appearing as one my preferred catageories up top.
I'd love to be able to filter out holiday music. It's really annoying.
    --*Rob

You could make a playlist of all of your songs. (I'm assuming you will recognize all of the things you added to the library and be able to pull them into a playlist.) Then when you want to listen to things, you can click on this playlist and when you want to sync things to an iPod (assuming you have things set to update manually) you could sync only this playlist to your iPod.
(As an older mother who likes all of the music in our household in one library, I'm not sure why this is a big problem. Don't you like knowing all the songs your family owns? Won't this prevent duplicate purchases?)

  • How do I add U S holidays to ical

    Some U S Holidays are missing ,ie:Thanksgiving.

I thought that I would post what I have found out so far in case it might help someone else.
One way to do this is to download an app to the iPhone that contains the holidays. I found one called USAHolidays that was free. You can then export the holidays from the app to your calendar. They then sync with your calendar on iCloud. The only problem is that this app is a little unwieldly. You have to check off each holiday that you want to export for each year. And it only includes years 2011-2015.
Of course the other way to do this is to just post the holidays manually to either the iPhone calendar or the iCloud calendar as recurring events and let them sync up. (It is probably easier to post to the iCloud.) You would only have to do this one time. This will put the holidays on to your calendars indefinitely. The problems with this are the "holidays" relating to Easter (Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday).. The logic to determine those days is beyond the capabilities of the calendaring function. You would have to look those dates up and post them manually for each year. I know that not everyone is interested in having all of these "holidays" on their calendar, so the problem would be minimized for them.
This may be basic stuff for a lot of you experts, but some of use are newbies and learning as we go.

  • Optional holidays configuration

    Dear Experts,
Could any one please help me in creating optional holidays.  Also please let me know whether we can restrict only two optional holidays per employee in the given optional holiday list.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Navya

    Hi,
Probably you can do something like this:
    1) Maintain Optional Holidays with customer defined Holiday Class - say 4.
    2) Create Absence type Optional Holidays with Quota 2 days.
    3) Maintain the Absence type only for Holiday Class 4.
    Hope this help.
    Regards.

  • Shhr absence details

    Hi
I like to know from which tables the absence details was populating related with workflow and SSHR status like pending approval, completed and cancelled
    thnks
    Shyam kumar

I think it is being populated dynamically from query.
You can check the query of the VO that gets the data.
If you click on About this Pgae link -> goto Business Components -> View objects and then select AbsenceSummaryVO, you will get the query that is getting data for the absence summary table.
    Hope this helps.

    It's true.
These two systems together (or independently?) should not be used for mission critical systems, ie the specialized systems that these run on must be like 100% or six sigma or whatever.
There was another thread floating around about this.

  • Modules for recommending new catalog item price

    Hi,
we have catalog item price history, we have customer purchase history, which module(s) can/should we use to price a new product?
    Thanks
    hyang

    Hi, hyang,
I think you might want to think about a metric you want to optimize, such as the monthly/weekly revenue of this new product, or number of items sold per month/week, while taking the price as an important factor. Then, from the historical sale history, you
can train a model and see how price is impacting the metric. The model might give you some insight of the relationship between the price and the metric.
Alternatively, if you do want to directly determine the price, you can build a regression model, where the target is the price, the variables might include features of products, how long this product has been on market, the demand of this product, whether
it is seasonal, holiday related product, etc.
Hope at least it can give you some hint at least.
    Thanks.

  • Entity-level screen text substitution

I am trying to create an entity-level attribute that will allow me to substitute text on an entity-level screen.
My data model is: Global --> the employer --> the date of the absence from work. When asking about each absence, I want to display the name of the employer on the screen. Because you can only substitute (using public names) attributes at the same entity level as the screen, I need to make an attribute at the level of the absence that is equivalent to the name of the employer.
    How do I do this?
(I suspect that I need to use ForScope(), but it's not clear to me how to use this to assign a value to a text attribute.)
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

I'm assuming you know how to set up regular substitution where everything is at the same entity level, so I won't go into that.
To substitute the name of the employer into labels on screens at the entity level below (the 'absence' level), you need to create an attribute at the 'absence' entity level, then infer its value based on the name of the employer. You'll need to use the 'For' function, and the reverse text of the relationship from Employer --> Absence
There was a related question asked yesterday on the forum (Refering to entity instances from a more specific entity context I'll use the example from that to explain:
    We have the following entities:
Global -- one-to-many --> the cat (Relationship text: the cats)
the cat -- one-to-many --> the cat's toys (Relationship text: the cat's toys; Reverse relationship text: the toy of the cat)
To substitute in the name of the cat into a label on a question screen about the cat's toy, I need to create an attribute at the entity level of the cat's toy ("the cat's toy name substitution variable" in this example). Then set it to be equal to the variable which collects the cat's name ("the cat" in this example), using the 'For' function and the reverse relationship text:
the cat's toy name substitution variable = For(the toy of the cat, the cat)Then create a public name for "the cat's toy name substitution variable" (e.g. "CatNameSubstitution"), then plug that into the screen label in the usual way, i.e. %CatNameSubstitution%. Since the substitution variable is at the entity level of the cat's toy, it will work.

    Periodicity: "Annual"
The problem is how to calculate dinamically (in execution report time) the number of columns to show in the report and their intervals dates.
The facts view has the following structure (the BBDD is sql server):
    View: loans_schedule
    Columns:
loan_id --> id to another view named loans that contains all the credit operations.
reference --> id of one reference in the operation
    maturity_date --> date
    Capital --> rate
    Amortization --> rate
    Interest --> rate
    Fees --> rate
Ex of view data (note that the report has to aggregate by maturity_date in the date intervals of the report table):
    Loan_id
    Reference
    Maturity_date
    Capital
    Amortization

The problem is how can generate dinamically the number of columns and agregate the rates into each column.
I have achieved to generate dinamically the number of columns by creating a table (isolated in the universe) that has a dimension and its values are a sequence the numbers (from 1 to 1000) and this let me to show dinamically the number of columns regarding the interval of dates introduced by the user through the report promts.
The problem is when I try to agreegate the rates information to show in the corresponding column...
    I do the following formula:
         if maturity_date between (Column_Start_Date and Column_End_Date) then
              [Rate]
         else
              0
But this returns always 0, and I think that the cause is that the table that I use for calculating the columns are not linked with my facts view.
When I drag the "Maturity_Date" to the table that has the columns dinamically, Webi tells me that the objects are incompatible.
    Can you help me?
Note: it is posible to add columns to the views if it helps to solve the problem.
    Thanks
    Pilar

    Hi,
There are no direct oracle function that could be used to get the desired results.
However you could try using something like
    SELECT COUNT( *)
    FROM
    (SELECT ROWNUM RNUM
    FROM ALL_OBJECTS
    WHERE ROWNUM <= TO_DATE('&1') - TO_DATE('&2') + 1
    WHERE TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('&2') + RNUM - 1, 'DY') NOT IN('SAT', 'SUN');
Give the two date ranges that you want to look for with the highiest one first. i.e say for example - 01-FEB-2011 to 31-DEC-2010 would give the working days in JAN. However note that you might have to check for holidays related to that country/region (which could be added as a seperate table).
If you need to get an extra day in addition to the weekends, please give the dates accordingly
    SQL> SELECT COUNT( *)
    2 FROM
    3 (SELECT ROWNUM RNUM
    4 FROM ALL_OBJECTS
    5 WHERE ROWNUM <= TO_DATE('01-FEB-2011') - TO_DATE('01-JAN-2011') + 1
    6 )
    7 WHERE TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('01-JAN-2011') + RNUM - 1, 'DY') NOT IN('SAT', 'SUN');
    COUNT(*)
    22

  • How to configure Counting RUle?

    Dear Team,
How to configure Counting rulee seperately for Working days & Calendar days for both general shift employees & Shift Employees, what cahnges we need to do in day type, workschedule rule etc.,Please help.
    Regards,
    Mythili

    you should understand thebusiness scenario
do yo want to count the absence s if you apply on weekoffs(sat/sun)
do want to count the absence if you apply on public holiday
based on the condition s we will configure counting rules.....
for all the shifts if you have same weekoff s you can configure one coutnign rules, or shifts containf each different weekoffs eg:mon or sat or wed then you have configure different coutnign rules
you can give the same coutnign rule and you can give different sequetial nos
these are the below steps to cinfigure the coutnign rule
    1.     Click on the sub node u201C Define Counting ruleu201D
    2.     Click on new entries
    3.     Maintain ESG time quota type as u201C9u201D
    4.     Maintain PS grouping for time quota type as per the grouping mentioned in the node u201C Group Personnel sub area for Time Quota typeu201D
    5.     Maintain the sequential number as per the sequence of absences.
    6.     Following settings for: Conditions for current day --- Flag on all the options except Sunday (if you have sat and sun day week off then donu2019t select satday also)
    7.     In Day type field u201C work acc. To work scheduleu201D.
    8.     Holiday class: Maintain in holiday class select all except not a public holidayu201D(no mean to apply absence on public holiday )
    9.     Condition for planned hours: In this field all the absence have the two field planned hours= 0 and planned hours>0 being selected.
    10.     Condition for absence/attendance: In this field all the absences have the two fields < 1day and full day being selected.
    11.     Quota multiplier: For all the absence type the quota multiplier is maintained as 100% except sick leave (half pay) where the quota multiplier is 50%
    12.     Deduction rule: The deduction rules are assigned to each of the corresponding absence type. Applicable to those absence types which has quota attached to it.
    13.     Save your settings

  • Leave request Error in ESS

    Hi Experts,
    Greetings !!
One of our user is facing a weird issue while he is trying to apply for a leave through ESS.
He is applying for a leave for absence type ABC for which he is having enough quota, an error message is coming while he is submitting the leave as below:
"No absence quota type 1/01/20 on 17.06.2014" - This error is of absence type XYZ,
    More information about this issue:
    - Employee has enough quota for which he is trying to apply for leave
    - The error message which is showing as error (absence type  XYZ 1/01/20) is a different absence type and this absence type is delimited on 31.12.2010.
    - Though the leave type is delimited, it is coming as error message for only one employee while he is applying for leave of a different absence type.
Can some one help me providing solution how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.

In leave request we consider all open requests of absences for validating current request and not necessarily current request that's the reason you get error message for an absence which is not related to the one you are applying read here the concept http://scn.sap.com/thread/2068984 http://scn.sap.com/thread/3508890 Read note 1070831 which explains how quota deduction is done both in leave request and TMW which are based on same technology. So to summarize Absences are picked up for the quota deduction , they are picked in the ascending order of the begin date of the absences \In  the standard TMW framework, when the data is simulated it first backtracks the PA2001 record and based on the ascending order the quota is deducted, therefore the first quota is deducted by the simulated requests and the Infotype 2001 record is deducted from the second Infotype 2006 record. so check for this user if he has any open request ie in sent/approved not yet posted status which ll also account for quota!! and will sorted again in ascending order and all requests will be considered for quota deduction if they are open!
