Regards,
Mythili

you should understand thebusiness scenario
do yo want to count the absence s if you apply on weekoffs(sat/sun)
do want to count the absence if you apply on public holiday
based on the condition s we will configure counting rules.....
for all the shifts if you have same weekoff s you can configure one coutnign rules, or shifts containf each different weekoffs eg:mon or sat or wed then you have configure different coutnign rules
you can give the same coutnign rule and you can give different sequetial nos
these are the below steps to cinfigure the coutnign rule
1.     Click on the sub node u201C Define Counting ruleu201D
2.     Click on new entries
3.     Maintain ESG time quota type as u201C9u201D
4.     Maintain PS grouping for time quota type as per the grouping mentioned in the node u201C Group Personnel sub area for Time Quota typeu201D
5.     Maintain the sequential number as per the sequence of absences.
6.     Following settings for: Conditions for current day --- Flag on all the options except Sunday (if you have sat and sun day week off then donu2019t select satday also)
7.     In Day type field u201C work acc. To work scheduleu201D.
8.     Holiday class: Maintain in holiday class select all except not a public holidayu201D(no mean to apply absence on public holiday )
9.     Condition for planned hours: In this field all the absence have the two field planned hours= 0 and planned hours>0 being selected.
10.     Condition for absence/attendance: In this field all the absences have the two fields < 1day and full day being selected.
11.     Quota multiplier: For all the absence type the quota multiplier is maintained as 100% except sick leave (half pay) where the quota multiplier is 50%
12.     Deduction rule: The deduction rules are assigned to each of the corresponding absence type. Applicable to those absence types which has quota attached to it.
13.     Save your settings

  • Help required in configuring counting rule

    I have limited experience in SAP-HR configuration. Kindly help me quota configuration. The client has only absence type u2013 Earned Leave. The leave rule is the same for all the employees. The leave rules are:
    1.     The employees are credited with earned Leave on Jan 1 every year, for the attendance days put in during the previous calendar year.
    2.     The employee is eligible for Earned Leave only if he has attendance for at least 240 days during the previous year. If the employee has joined the company during the middle of the previous year, then he should have attendance for at least 2/3 of the remaining working days during the year.
    3.     The employee should be credited with 1 day EL for every 20 working days. If the employee, for example, has worked for 268 days during the year then he should be credited with 13 days EL (268/20=13, with 8 days as remainder). The remainder days, if any, should be carried forward to the next year and considered at that point as added to the number of working days. E.g. employee has worked for 268 days in year 2010. He will be credited with 13 days EL on 1 Jan 2011. Assume he has worked for 256 days in year 2011. Then while creating the absence quota for EL on 1 Jan 2012, the system should consider working days as 256 (from year 2011) + 8 (remainder from year 2010) = 264. Hence the employee should be credited with 13 days of EL on 1 Jan 2012 (264/20 = 13 days; 4 days remainder).
    4.     Leave carry forward rules: The employee is allowed to carry forward the EL balance to the next year. However, after carry forward the total balance should not go beyond 30 days. Any thing in excess of 30 days will get lapsed, if it is not encashed.
    Kindly let me know how to configure the counting rule & the deduction rule for the above scenario.

  • How to configure Counter in Report

    Newbie question - How can I configure Counter to be displayed in BAM Report. I have added three business indicators one being a counter. I see that my other two indicators are recorded in the BAM Data Object I created, I also see that my Project Counter is getting stored in Counter BAM Data Object. How do I link these and come up with an BAM Report whose values are based on the Counter. I am using 11G.
    Edited by: Venkat Ram on Jul 8, 2010 5:37 AM

    Assuming you are referring to Monitor Express dashboard and using monitor objects for your BPEL or BPM process in JDEV (counters, intervals, business indicators).
    The Monitor Express Dashboard (and subreports) is essentially a template you can use to quickly get an idea of the processes you are trying to monitor.
    From the 2nd tab "Process View "(which is the subreport titled Monitored Process Details"), does have a view which uses the Counter dataobject and lists the Counter name and count of instances passed that particular counter.
    Essentially, you can create any report against this Counter dataobject. You can edit and add/remove views in the Monitor Express Dashboard to be solely based on the Counter dataobject.
    But the 1st thing to do is understand the data captured in the dataobject itself. The fieldnames are fairly explanatory.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to configure sync rules involving a CSV file and portal self service

    Hello,
     I need to configure some FIM sync rules for the following scenario:
     User account details are entered from a HR CSV file and exported to AD  Users have the ability to modify their own AD attributes in the
    FIM portal (there is not a requirement for them to view their  HR CSV data in the portal). The FIM portal modifications will be exported to AD as expected.
    My setup is as follows:
    CSV file - name, last name, employee ID, address.
    CSV MA - has direct attribute flows configured in the MA between the data source and MV Portal self service attributes –
    users can edit mobile, display name and photo
    I've also set the CSV MA as precedent for the attributes
    FIM MA – attribute flows defined for MV to Data Source as usual (i.e. firstname to firstname, accountname to accountname, etc).
    AD MA – no attribute flows defined as inbound and outbound sync rules have been configured in the portal using the Set\MPR\Triple.
    I’m thinking of using the following run profiles:
    CSV MA – full import and delta sync (imports HR data)
    FIM MA –  export and delta import (imports portal changes)
    FIM MA – delta sync (syncs any portal changes)
    AD MA – export and delta import
    If my understanding is correct this should sync HR data from CSV to AD, as well as user attribute self service updates from the portal to AD.
    If I wanted to just do a HR CSV sync could I get away with just steps 1 & 4 ? (presumably not as my rules are in the FIM portal?)
    If I wanted to do just a portal sync, could I get away steps 2-4?
    Any advice on how to improve my setup is much appreciated - cheers
    IT Support/Everything

    The truth is that your design should be done in the way that it doesn't matter which profiles in which order you will execute. At the end, if you will run all import, synch and export profiles on each data source you should get same result. This is beauty
    of synch engine here.
    Your steps from 1-4 will synch data to your data sources and at the end will give you expected result. But not because of the order you are executing them but because of correct attribute flows. If flows from CSV file and from FIM portal might be done for
    the same attributes you need to think also about attribute precedence.

  • How to configure the rule in oracle configurator

    Hi All,
       We are trying to create a rule in oracle configurator . The requirement is sum of the quantity of the selected component  should not  exceed 60 quantity. Can someone suggest me how to achieve this ?

    Hi,
    You can use the "Resource" Component to track the quantity of the selected component.
    For example set the "Resource" value to 60 and use the "Consume From" rule to relate the "Selected component" and "Resource". So here every time when the required component is selected, it consumes value from the Resource which is 60.
    The value of the Resource can be positive or Zero but a Resource is violated if its value becomes negative at run time (That is over-consumed).
    Hope this help for your requirement.

    Hi everybody,
    How to configure email Alerts in OEM Cloud 12c for Database Servers up/down status?

    Miguel Vega

    Hi Miguel Vega,
    Information regarding the notifications:
    ==============================
    Configuring notification rules in 12c is different from earlier releases.
    The concept and function of notification rules has been replaced with a two-tier system consisting of Incident Rules and Incident Rule Sets :
    1. Incident Rules: Operate at the lowest level granularity (on discrete events) and performs the same role as notification rules from earlier releases.
    By using incident rules, you can automate the response to incoming incidents and their updates.
    A rule contains a set of automated actions to be taken on specific events, incidents or problems.
    The actions taken are for example : sending e-mails, creating incidents, updating incidents, and creating tickets.
    2. Incident Rule Set: A rule set is a collection of rules that applies to a common set of objects, for example, targets, jobs, and templates.

  • Query on Counting Rules for CL

    Our customer has the following requirement regarding Casual Leave (CL). If the CL days are BOTH prefixed & suffixed by OFF days and/or holidays then ONE extra day of CL is to be counted. E.g. Assume an employee takes one day CL on 5-Mar-12, 6-Mar-12 and 4-Jan-12 is his weekly OFF and 7-Mar-12 is a holiday. Then CL days days have to be counted as 2+1 = 3 days (one day extra).
    However, if CL days are only prefixed or only suffixed with OFF days or holidays, then the actual CL days have to be counted. E.g. employee takes CL on 8-Mar-12 and 7-Mar-12 is a OFF day or holiday. Then only ONE day CL (Actual) is to be counted. Similarly, if employee takes CL on 9-Mar-12 and 10-Mar-12 is a OFF day or holiday, then also only ONE day Cl (actual) is to be counted.
    Please guide me on how to configure the counting rules for the above scenarios.
    -Kalpana

    Hi,
    Check all the week days, Allholiday class, All the DWS class,  conditions for day selected in countingrule.
    With same counting rule number with other grouings i.e ESG grouping for Time quotas, PSG grouping for Time Quotas with different cobination having any collution. in case of employee subgroup changes it may reflect.
    Eventhough everything is fine then already updated employee master again you need to save the masterdata with change mode through PA30.

  • How to configure sso with SSL step by step

    Purpose
    In this document, you can learn how to configure SSO with SSL. After user have certificate installed in browser, he can login without input username and password.
    Overview
    In this document we will demonstrate:
    1.     How to configure OHS support SSL
    2.     How to Register SSO with SSL
    3.     Configure SSO for certificates
    Prerequisites
    Before start this document, you should have:
    1.     Oracle AS 10g infrastructure installed (10.1.2)
    2.     OCA installed
    Note:
    1.     “When you install Oracle infrastructure, please make sure you have select OCA.
    2.     How Certificate-Enabled Authentication Works:
    a.     The user tries to access a partner application.
    b.     The partner application redirects the user to the single sign-on server for authentication. As part of this redirection, the browser sends the user's certificate to the login URL of the server (2a). If it is able to verify the certificate, the server returns the user to the requested application.
    c.     The application delivers content. Users whose browsers are configured to prompt for a certificate-store password may only have to present this password once, depending upon how their browser is configured. If they log out and then attempt to access a partner application, the browser passes their certificate to the single sign-on server automatically. This means that they never really log out. To effectively log out, they must close the browser.
    Enable SSL on the Single Sign-On Middle Tier
    The following steps involve configuring the Oracle HTTP Server. Perform them on the single sign-on middle tier. In doing so, keep the following in mind:
    l     You must configure SSL on the computer where the single sign-on middle tier is running.
    l     You are configuring one-way SSL.
    l     You may enable SSL for simple network encryption; PKI authentication is not required. Note though that you must use a valid wallet and server certificate. The default wallet location is ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/ssl.wlt/default.
    1.     Back up the opmn.xml file, found at ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf
    2.     In opmn.xml, change the value for the start-mode parameter to ssl-enabled. This parameter appears in boldface in the xml tag immediately following.
    <ias-component id="HTTP_Server">
    <process-type id="HTTP_Server" module-id="OHS">
    <module-data>
    <category id="start-parameters">
    <data id="start-mode" value="ssl-enabled"/>
    </category>
    </module-data>
    <process-set id="HTTP_Server" numprocs="1"/>
    </process-type>
    </ias-component>
    3.     Update the distributed cluster management database with the change: ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct opmn
    4.     Reload the modified opmn configuration file:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl reload
    5.     Keep a non-SSL port active. The External Applications portlet communicates with the single sign-on server over a non-SSL port. The HTTP port is enabled by default. If you have not disabled the port, this step requires no action.
    6.     Apply the rule mod_rewrite to SSL configuration. This step involves modifying the ssl.conf file on the middle-tier computer. The file is at ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf. Back up the file before editing it.
    Because the Oracle HTTP Server has to be available over both HTTP and HTTPS, the SSL host must be configured as a virtual host. Add the lines that follow to the SSL Virtual Hosts section of ssl.conf if they are not already there. These lines ensure that the single sign-on login module in OC4J_SECURITY is invoked when a user logs in to the SSL host.
    <VirtualHost ssl_host:port>
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteOptions inherit
    </VirtualHost>
    Save and close the file.
    7.     Update the distributed cluster management database with the changes:
    ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig -ct ohs
    8.     Restart the Oracle HTTP Server:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl stopproc process-type=HTTP_Server
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl startproc process-type=HTTP_Server
    9.     Verify that you have enabled the single sign-on middle tier for SSL by trying to access the OracleAS welcome page, using the format https://host:ssl_port.
    Reconfigure the Identity Management Infrastructure Database
    Change all references of http in single sign-on URLs to https within the identity management infrastructure database. When you change single sign-on URLs in the database, you must also change these URLs in the targets.xml file on the single sign-on middle tier. targets.xml is the configuration file for the various "targets" that Oracle Enterprise Manager monitors. One of these targets is OracleAS Single Sign-On.
    1.     Change Single Sign-On URLs
    Run the ssocfg script, taking care to enter the command on the computer where the single sign-on middle tier is located. Use the following syntax:
    UNIX:
    $ORACLE_HOME/sso/bin/ssocfg.sh protocol host ssl_port
    Windows:
    %ORACLE_HOME%\sso\bin\ssocfg.bat protocol host ssl_port
    In this case, protocol is https. (To change back to HTTP, use http.) The parameter host is the host name, or server name, of the Oracle HTTP listener for the single sign-on server.
    Here is an example:
    ssocfg.sh https login.acme.com 4443
    2. Restart OC4J_SECURITY instance and verify the configuration
    To determine the correct port number, examine the ssl.conf file. Port 4443 is the port number that the OracleAS installer assigns during installation.
    If you run ssocfg successfully, the script returns a status 0. To confirm that you were successful, restart the OC4J_SECURITY instance:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=OC4J_SECURITY
    Then try logging in to the single sign-on server at its SSL address:
    https://host:ssl_port/pls/orasso/
         3. Back up the file targets.xml:
    cp ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml ORACLE_HOME/sysman/emd/targets.xml.backup
    4. Open the file and find the target type oracle_sso_server. Within this target type, locate and edit the three attributes that you passed to ssocfg:
    ·     HTTPMachine—the server host name
    ·     HTTPPort—the server port number
    ·     HTTPProtocol—the server protocol
    If, for example, you run ssocfg like this:
    ORACLE_HOME/sso/bin/ssocfg.sh http sso.mydomain.com:4443
    Update the three attributes this way:
    <Property NAME="HTTPMachine" VALUE="sso.mydomain.com"/>
    <Property NAME="HTTPPort" VALUE="4443"/>
    <Property NAME="HTTPProtocol" VALUE="HTTPS"/>
    5.Save and close the file.
    6.     Reload the OracleAS console:
         ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl reload
    7. Issue these two commands:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=HTTP_Server
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=OC4J_SECURITY
    Registering mod_osso
    1.     This command sequence that follows shows a mod_osso instance being reregistered with the single sign-on server.
    $ORACLE_HOME/sso/bin/ssoreg.sh
         -oracle_home_path $ORACLE_HOME
         -config_mod_osso TRUE
         -mod_osso_url https://myhost.mydomain.com:4443
    2.     Restarting the Oracle HTTP Server
    After running ssoreg, restart the Oracle HTTP Server:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=HTTP_Server
    Configuring the Single Sign-On System for Certificates
    1.     Configure policy.properties with the Default Authentication Plugin
    Update the DefaultAuthLevel section of the policy.properties file with the correct authentication level for certificate sign-on. This file is at ORACLE_HOME/sso/conf. Set the default authentication level to this value:
    DefaultAuthLevel = MediumHighSecurity
    Then, in the Authentication plugins section, pair this authentication level with the default authentication plugin:
    MediumHighSecurity_AuthPlugin = oracle.security.sso.server.auth.SSOX509CertAuth
    2.     Restart the Single Sign-On Middle Tier
    After configuring the server, restart the middle tier:
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=HTTP_Server
    ORACLE_HOME/opmn/bin/opmnctl restartproc process-type=OC4J_SECURITY
    Bringing the SSO Users to OCA User Certificate Request URL
    The OCA server reduces the administrative and maintenance cost of provisioning a user certificate. The OCA server achieves this by authenticating users by using OracleAS SSO server authentication. All users who have an Oracle AS SSO server account can directly get a certificate by using the OCA user interface. This reduces the time normoally requidred to provision a certificate by a certificate authority.
    The URL for the SSO certificate Request is:
    https://<Oracle_HTTP_host>:<oca_ssl_port>/oca/sso_oca_link
    You can configure OCA to provide the user certificate request interface URL to SSO server for display whenever SSO is not using a sertificate to authenticate a user. After the OracleAS SSO server authenticates a user, it then display the OCA screen enabling that user to request a certificate.
    To link the OCA server to OracleAS SSO server, use the following command:
    ocactl linksso
    opmnctl stoproc type=oc4j instancename=oca
    opmnctl startproc type=oc4j instancename=oca
    You also can use ocactl unlinksso to unlink the OCA to SSO.

    I have read the SSO admin guide, and performed the steps for enabling SSL on the SSO, and followed the steps to configure mod_osso with virtual host on port 4443 as mentioned in the admin guide.
    The case now is that when I call my form (which is developed by forms developer suite 10g and deployed on the forms server which is SSO enabled) , it calls the SSO module on port 7777 using http (the default behaviour).
    on a URL that looks like this :
    http://myhostname:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login?Site2pstoreToken=.......
    and gives the error :
    ( Forbidden
    You don't have permisission to access /sso/auth on this server at port 7777)
    when I manually change the URL to :
    https://myhostname:4443/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login?Site2pstoreToken=.......
    the SSO works correctly.
    The question is :
    How can I change this default behaviour and make it call SSO on port 4443 using https instead ?
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks in advance

  • How to configure ACS 5.2 for policy condition on TACACS+ Service

    In https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3953175#3953175 thread, I was able to get the ACS 5.2 work with SRX for both SSH CLI and J-Web TACACS+ accounts. However, I found the behavior is different on our production environment. I found our ACS 5.2 was configured authorization rule with condition "TACACS+ Service" = "junos-exec". I don't know how to configure this on my ACS 5.2 Please guide me how to configure this.
    I found there was NO TACACS+ "Authorization Request" when access via J-Web in our production SRX and ACS. However, there were TACACS+ "Authorzation Request" when access via J-Web in our production SRX and ACS. The difference between my lab ACS and production ACS is the authorization rule condition. In my condition, I configure with all "SRX" Device Type. but in our production ACS 5.2, it was configure to TACACS+ Service=junos-exec. so I like to test it in our lab to find out the difference. Thanks.

    I would suggest you to go through the below two link.

  • How to configure users for internal mail routing only in exchange 2013

    Hi Guys!
    I have a scenario here that i have three (3) group of users, one group is able to have an inbound and outbound mail, meaning they can send and recieved emails from internal and external.The second group of users should have inbound mail(local mail) only
    (cannot send and recieved mails from internet), and the third (3) user is they can recieved an outbound mail but they are not allowed to send mail directly to the client,(Ex.
    [email protected],[email protected],[email protected]) instead they will use the
    [email protected] as the reply to the client. Please let me know how to configure group user 2 and 3.
    Thank you.
    regards,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
    Great advice from Maganti, just elaborating steps:
    Prevent Group 2 send e-mail to internet by transport rule:
    1. Login EAC with administrator, Mail Flow---> Rule, click “Create a new rule, then give a name “Group2 - No Internet Mail”.
    2. Conditions: select "From a member of a distribution list" & select group "Group2"
    3. Select another condition "Sent to users inside or outside the organization" & Select Outside.
    4. Actions: select "send bounce message to sender with enhanced status code" & write your custom message like “You are not authorized to send mails to internet”.
    Prevent Group 3 directly send e-mail to internet, however it can send message as group:
    We also can create a transport rule which is same with Group2, then open Active Directory Users and Computers to add send as permission with another group (contain same users as group3).
    Best Regards,
    Allen Wang

  • How to configure a JMS Queue

    Hi,
    I have an EAR file thai includes an EJB 3.0 module with a MDB. I use a Queue.
    This is my code,
    @Resource(mappedName = "jms/NotificationQueue")
    private Queue notificationQueue;
    @Resource(mappedName = "jms/NotificationQueueFactory")
    private ConnectionFactory notificationQueueFactory;
    public Customer update(Customer customer){
    Customer updated = em.merge(customer);
    try {
    sendJMSMessageToNotificationQueue(updated);
    } catch (JMSException ex) {
    Logger.getLogger(CustomerSessionBean.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
    System.out.println("Customer updated in CustomerSessionBean!");
    return updated;
    private Message createJMSMessageForjmsNotificationQueue(Session session, Object messageData) throws JMSException
    //Modified to use ObjectMessage instead
    ObjectMessage tm = session.createObjectMessage();
    tm.setObject((Serializable) messageData);
    return tm;
    private void sendJMSMessageToNotificationQueue(Object messageData) throws JMSException
    Connection connection = null;
    Session session = null;
    try
    connection = notificationQueueFactory.createConnection();
    session = connection.createSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    MessageProducer messageProducer = session.createProducer(notificationQueue);
    messageProducer.send(createJMSMessageForjmsNotificationQueue(session, messageData));
    finally
    if (session != null)
    try
    session.close();
    catch (JMSException e)
    Logger.getLogger(this.getClass().getName()).log(Level.WARNING, "Cannot close session", e);
    if (connection != null)
    connection.close();
    layed inside a stateless EJB 3.0.
    And the MDB looks as follow,
    @MessageDriven(mappedName = "jms/NotificationQueue", activationConfig = {
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "acknowledgeMode", propertyValue = "Auto-acknowledge"),
    @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue")
    public class NotificationBean implements MessageListener {
    public NotificationBean() {
    public void onMessage(Message message)
    try
    Object msgObj = ((ObjectMessage)message).getObject();
    if (msgObj != null)
    Customer customer = (Customer)msgObj;
    System.out.println("Customer with the following details has been updated:");
    StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
    sb.append("Customer ID=");
    sb.append(customer.getCustomerId());
    sb.append(", ");
    sb.append("Name=");
    sb.append(customer.getName());
    sb.append(", ");
    sb.append("Email=");
    sb.append(customer.getEmail());
    System.out.println(sb.toString());
    catch (JMSException ex)
    Logger.getLogger(NotificationBean.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
    I have configured both "jms/NotificationQueue" and "jms/NotificationQueueFactory" inside OC4J server.
    But when I try to deploy the EAR file, the server gives me the following error,
    Operation failed with error: No destination location set for message-driven bean NotificationBean
    How must I do to let the EAR file be deployed?
    Thanks in advance
    Jose

    I want to configure a error queue for weblogic jms topic. Wanted: The message goes to error destination when messages have expired or reached their redelivery limit.
    1. using jms transport configure proxy service:
    Retry Count :3
    Retry Interval:10
    Error Destination: ErrorTopic
    Expiration olicy: RedirectUnlike File/SFTP, JMS proxy service definition does not have the concept of Error Destination. To accomplish similar functionality go to JMSQ on (for which proxy is configured) server console (http://localhost:7001/console) and configure the Error Destination. Following URL will help in how to configure JMS Q.

    I tried use the proxy service to consume message from the jms topic . and generation an error in the proxy message flow. But the message didn't goes into the error topic.If every thing is configured as per above step, then the after retries, the weblogic server will put the message into JMS topic configured. Your proxy will receive from this topic.
