Absolute uri not getting resolved

Hey all. Got a problem. I have a website that is working fine locally. I upload it to a host and I'm getting errors so it's a config problem. Trouble is they insist everything is fine on their end and won't help me find out what their setup is or how to configure things to work there. The error I'm currently getting is: This absolute uri (http://java.sun.com/jstl/core) cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application.
I can't seem to get any help on this and it's driving me crazy. The site has been tested and debugged for a couple of months now and I just need to host it so it can be tested some more and go live.
Any help would be most appreciated.

uri is not url
An uri is never absolute, neither is it relatif, it just is a name for a resource, with that name your websevers identifies the resource.
make sure the uri in the tld's in jstl.jar and standard.jar are same as in you jsp pages.

  • 4 out of 25 VPN tunnel is not getting up.....

    Hi Experts,
I have found one strange problem with IPSec VPN, the scenario is like this, our corporate office is connected to its 25 remote office with IPSec VPN, at corporate site, cisco 2811 router is installed and same type of router is installed at each remote site and IPSec VPN is configured between remote office and corporate office and further each remote site router has two other VPN configured which are working properly. Now the problem is, 4 out of 25 remote offices are not getting up with corporate office, I mean the VPN is not getting up for these location. I sit at corporate office and have tried my level best to up these VPN but the problem not getting resolved.
Now the strange problem is that the VPN gets up by itself, after sometime like in 10days or 20days, for sometime and gets down by itself later.
Anyone who can give some insights where the problem could be and how could i troubleshoot the problem?
Thanks in advance for your valuable response

Few things i would like mention here are:
    1. I am able to ping remote_ipsec_peer from my router.
    2. At both routers other tunnels are working fine.
    3. NATing is not involved at both sides router, we have static ip at both side and static routes are configured to reach the peer.
Anyone who can provide some insights by looking the above log, where the problem could be?

Can you please tell me should i do any more configurayion any where, i believed taglib will be taken from WEB-INF/jstl.jar file ?
    Cheers,
    Saravvij.

Well there goes the theory that you had JSTL1.0 installed.
It was a nice theory while it lasted.
The interesting thing is when I open the .jar I doesn't see a Manifest directory there is just the .mf file.Depending on the zip tool you are using, the screen shows up differently. It should be in a PATH of "META-INF" though, which amounts to the same thing.
If the tld files are NOT in the META-INF path, that would be the cause of the issue.
There are jstl.jar and standard.jar in the webapps\examples\WEB-INF\lib directory, but this should not affect my webapp since it is in a different
context root right? You are correct. They won't affect your web app as they are a different context.
Just as an experiment, try copying those versions into your webapp and see if it makes any difference. Its just an alternative source of the JSTL libraries.
You don't have other copies of jstl lying around do you? In the [TOMCAT]/lib directory for instance?
One other thing that might be the cause. According to [Tomcat context configuration|http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-doc/config/context.html] you can set the processTlds attribute to "false" and it won't process tlds. Check the server.xml and the relevant context.xml files to see if this option has been set. The default is "true" so it would have to have been explicitly disabled- something unlikely to have happened, but possible.
    Cheers,
    evnafets

When I want to scroll through My pictures  why do I get this Error message (A necessary data reference could not be resolved)

Before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.
Posts that consist of "iPhoto doesn't work. Help" or "iPhoto won't print" or "Suddenly I have no photos!!!!!!!!!!" mean that any helper is simply guessing. With information, s/he may be able to get your issue resolved sooner.

  • IISProxy redirection with absolute URIs

    Hi all,
We have a problem on my site where we are using Squid 2.5 as a reverse proxy to access the Portal via a firewall. We have an issue where the IISProxy is expecting a URI of '/irj/servlet/etc...' and the reverse proxy is delivering the absolute URI e.g. 'https://myhost.com/irj/servlet etc...'. According to RFC 2616, the portal should be able to handle both forms as it is supposed to be http 1.1 compliant.
Has anyone else experienced problems running the portal via a reverse proxy, specifically Squid ?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
We had SAP consultants do our installation so I guess (!!) that the files are correct. We see no problems when we use the machine internally, just when we go through the Squid firewall from the Internet using SSL.
We use Squid to handle authentication through our firewall and to act as a reverse proxy/accelerator. We are seeing https://<myportal.com>/irj/servlet/etc... requests going into Squid, and the same requests coming out and into Portal. Squid is treating the portal as proxy and is sending the full path URI, but the Portal seems to be handling only the file path URI e.g. the /irj/servlet/etc... part.
IIS seems to know what to do with it as we get the company logo and some other portal info served by IIS, but no java information is passed back to the broswer. We get a '404 - file not found' error because it is expecting '/irj' and we are passing 'https://'. According to the http 1.1 standards, you must be able to handle both sets of address, but Portal doesn't.
We have raised this as an OSS message so I will post the reply from SAP support once the problem is resolved. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd appreciate them.
    Thanks

  • Variable value is not getting set in BEx / WAD

    Hi,
We have a WAD report where we have selection on Comp Code which is restricted to a variable Var1. In the same WAD, a button group is used to execute a Planning Sequence, it has a filter for Comp Code which is restricted to a mandatory variable Var2.
Idea is unless the user selects a value for Comp Code in WAD selection screen(Var1), the button group to execute the Planning Sequence will not be visible. When this button group is visible and user clicks to execute the Planning Sequence, the value for Var2 is supposed to get the same value as Var1 since in the underlying BEx query of WAD, we have restricted Comp Code InfoObject with Var1 in Default Values region.
This was working absolutely fine in BW 7.3. But recently we upgraded to BW 7.4 and now the value for Var2 is not getting set if user selects the value for Var1.
    Appreciate any help on this.
Note: The issue will resolve if we use the same variable in BEx query as well as the Planning Sequence, but this is not feasible in our case.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shravan Marathe

    Hi Suman,
As the issue came up with the latest BW 7.4 upgrade, we are looking for a work around may be implementation of Notes instead of going for an alternative.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Shravan Marathe

It is able to deploy the BPEL artifact but unable for the decision service, i.e. the Business Rule. I've been looking at web resources for answers but unable to find one. Your assistance is much appreciated and my gut feeling is that it is only a minor glitch which I need to fix. Thank you very much everyone.
    Regards,
    John

    Hi Everyone,
I've resolved the error. It was the fact that I was pointing to the wrong rmi port. I found out by typing out the "opmnctl status -l" on the command line and realised that my rmi port was 12401 instead of 23791. Hence, under the "deployDecisionServices" namespace in the build.xml file, I modified it from "rmiport="${rmiport}" to "rmiport="12401"" and deploy it and everything works. Thank you everyone for your time and efforts.
    Regards,
    John

  • [java] Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".

I am running the second example in the BPEL Help tutorial. In that we are supposed to run ant from tutorials\127.OrderBookingTutorial\PriceQuote and it gives error because it is not able to resolve
my PC name 5mq9p91. I changed couple of build.properties files and for hostname put in the IP address, so some of these worked, but some of the places still have 5mq9p91 causing FAILURE.
Where does ant get my machine name, how I can get it to pull full qualified name or the IP address?
    ERROR:
    [echo] Deploying SelectManufacturingUI using "admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:opmn://5MQ9P91:6003/home -file C:\HOME\bpel\ProcessManager\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\samples\tutorials\127.OrderBookingTutorial\PriceQuote\SelectManufacturingUI/SelectManufacturingUI.ear ..."
[java] Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".
    (1. EXECUTION OF ANT BELOW)
Actual problem is once I complete this exercise, partner link has compilation error, because the WSDL does not have complete qualified PC name.
In the WSDL you can see the reference to "soap:address location="http://5MQ9P91:8888/orabpel/default/RapidDistributors/1.0""
how do I change this to have complete qualified address?
    Actual Error:
    Error:
[Error ORABPEL-10903]: failed to read wsdl
[Description]: in "bpel.xml", Error loading schemas from wsdl.
Error while loading schemas from wsdl file at location "http://11.111.111.11:8888/orabpel/default/RapidDistributors/RapidDistributors?wsdl". The reason is http://5MQ9P91:8888/orabpel/xmllib/ws-addressing.xsd.
Please verify the schemas defined in wsdl.
[Potential fix]: If your site has a proxy server, then you may need to configure your BPEL Server, designer and browser with your proxy server configuration settings (see tech note on http://otn.oracle.com/bpel for instructions).
    (2. RapidDistributors WSDL INFO BELOW)
Few things I did to solve the problem, without much success:
Installed BPEL and when I use firefox I get DNS Lookup Error
    http://5mq9p91:8888/
Now if I use http://5mq9p91.na.zzzzz.net:8888/ it works fine and if I use the IP address it works fine.
Have the same problem with IE, but after putting entried in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file problem went away.
I also added DNS Suffix na.zzzzz.com in the Control Panel --> Network --> TCP/IP --> Advanced --> DNS Tab

    Solution:
    C:\HOME\bpel\ProcessManager\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\bpel\utilities\ant-orabpel.properties
changed hostname and put in the IP Address, and this worked.
But now that I run ANT it still has the "Could not get DeploymentManager" problem, so it was not because of machine name translation.
    so now what?
more over, actual problem is to fix the WSDL file:
If WSDL file is fixed my tutorial example may work....
    Any body...please help!!!!
