I know that reports will not have that same error when you step into the central admin but I dont have control of the iis or central admin, any feedback would be great thanks.
ok Update since I had a local server I ended up using my server for the reports since they are linked inside access it dint bother the program I had built only, trouble is now I have two separate access databases not sure if I can clone that information
from the cloud and double it as a back up server on the local edition. otherwise the reports will be outdated.

How to deploy SSRS 2008 reports to Sharepoint 2013.
Hi,
Can some one guide me how to deploy SSRS 2008 reports to SharePoint 2013 by giving the exact steps from where to begin. We have all our reports deployed in SharePoint 2010.Need to migrate those reports to Sharepoint 2013 instance. I
also want to know how and where exactly we modify the connection strings to manage the data sources for the reports . Since I am very new to this field I am not able to properly understand other sites i have gone through . I have gone through the prerequisites
also.Kindly help me by providing step by step method.
Thanks,
MridhulaIf you don't just want to upgrade your database, simply open the report project (which should be on your local file system) and edit the report properties, changing the Report Server URLs appropriately to the new SharePoint server URLs.

Power view reports in sharepoint 2013 :
How can i add alert and subscription for the power view report in sharepoint 2013 ?.
and please let me know the difference beetween the performance point service and power view report.
Please response fast.Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add alert and subscription for the power view report in sharepoint 2013.
You need to Additional Configuration to provision for subscriptions and alerts when you install Reporting Services SharePoint Mode for SharePoint 2013.
The Reporting Services subscription and data alert features may require the configuration of SQL Server Agent permissions. For more information, see
Provision Subscriptions and Alerts for SSRS Service Applications
PerformancePoint Services is a SharePoint Server 2013 service application. It enables users to create business intelligence (BI) dashboards that provide insight into an organization's performance. You can create custom reports, filters, tabular data sources,
and scorecard transforms to extend the native functionality of PerformancePoint Services.
Power View in SharePoint is browser-based Silverlight application, a feature of the SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP 1) Reporting Services Add-in for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and 2013. Creating, opening, and saving Power View reports (RDLX files)
all take place in SharePoint Server 2010 and 2013.

Office Web Apps 2010 on SharePoint 2010 site running in SharePoint 2013?
We're in the process of moving a SharePoint 2010 site over to SharePoint 2013. The SharePoint 2010 site is using classic authentication, and it's not in scope to update this to claims-based authentication.
I'd like to continue running the site in SharePoint 2010 mode without upgrading it to 2013. In this case, can I continue to use Office Web Apps 2010 for this SP2010 site? I've already installed Office Web Apps 2013 on another server but just
read that it needs claims-based authentication.If you want to use OWA once the site has been moved to 2013 you will need to change the web application to use Claims. OWA in 2013 requires that and will not work in classic mode.

What are the best practices for audit report for SharePoint 2013 farm ?
Hello,
I am looking for the best practices for audit reporting in SharePoint 2013 farm.Can anyone please provide me checklist/tools/guidelines on same ?
your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Dipti ChhatrapatiThis is quite open ended question. A sharepoint farm should be well maintained as per :
1. Microsoft's recommendations on : Topology, Hardware and Software requirements, Operational procedures and most important Capacity guidelines:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff758645(v=office.15).aspx
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262787(v=office.15).aspx
2. Organisation's IT policies and procedures : Farm Configuration, Workload and monitoring
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff758658(v=office.15).aspx
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee748651(v=office.15).aspx
3. Industry best practices
I would suggest to start thinking over these lines and create a plan for your Sharepoint farm.
You can then create powershell scripts to run these reports at certain frequency to find the changes, any deviation from the standard and health of the entire farm.
Hope this helps!!

Deploy SharePoint 2010 Sandbox solution to SharePoint 2013
Hi All,
I have sand-box solution which is developed in Visual Studio 2010 for SharePoint 2010 ,And it is specially developed for branding the SharePoint 2010 site. Now I need
to add the sandbox solution to SharePoint 2013 Site.
Can any one help how can I do this.
Thanks, Quality Communication Provides Quality Work. http://siddiq-sharepoint2010.blogspot.in/ Siddiqali Mohammad .Hi siddiqali,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to deploy SharePoint 2010 Sandbox solution to SharePoint 2013.
Most of the wsp Solutions deployed in SharePoint 2010 should work fine in SharePoint 2013. This is because of the Support for both 14 Hive and 15 Hive directories that are Created in SharePoint 2013 by default.
Initially, when you deploy a SharePoint 2010 Solution it gets deployed to 14 Hive and not 15 Hive. To force the solution to install in 15 Hive you need to modify manifest.xml file of your solution and add addSharePointVersion=”15.0” attribute to it. The
Solutions can be forced to install in 15 hive. However, some of the files especially that refers to _layouts might not work. All SharePoint 2010 Solution files that refers to _layouts folder (i.e. Features, Layouts-files, Images, ControlTemplates)needs to
be updated, the best approach is to re-create the Solution in Visual Studio 2012.

Uploading 2010 Infopath Form to Sharepoint 2013
Hello,
I uploaded a Infopath 2010 form from my Sharepoint 2010 website to my new Sharepoint 2013 website.
I get the following editing message under my form title: Last modified at (todays date with time) by admin (Edit this Page)
How can I deactivate this feature or is this a feature? If not what is it and how can I get rid of it ?
Please help,
Kind regards, Ali TozluHi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got last modified message when you upload a InfoPath 2010 form.
How did you upload the form from the SharePoint 2010 site to SharePoint 2013 site?
Could you give more information about this issue?
I tried to reproduce the issue with the following three methods, and in the library I not got the last modified message with the form.
1.Use the “Open with Explorer” method.
I opened the SharePoint 2010 site library in explorer which contained the InfoPath 2010 form, and opened the SharePoint 2013 site library in explorer.
Then I dragged the InfoPath 2010 form to the SharePoint 2013 site, the form upload without the last modified message.
2.Upload the form using the URL
In SharePoint 2013 site library, I clicked the “New dcument”->Browser->typed the URL of the SharePoint 2010 site library which contained the InfoPath 2010 form.
The form also upload without the last modified message.
3.Downloaded the InfoPath 2010 form to local computer, then uploaded the form to SharePoint 2013 library, the form upload without the last modified message.
Thanks & Regards,

Weekly status report in SharePoint 2013
Hi
guys.
I
recently found a link that showed how to create a weekly status report in SharePoint 2010 using wikis: http://blogs.c5insight.com/Home/tabid/40/entryid/200/Creating-a-Weekly-Team-Status-Report-in-SharePoint-2010-Using-Wikis.aspx
I
am new to sharepoint and currently I am using sharepoint 2013.
I
created a wiki page library and the library contains wiki pages for every team member so
that each member can enter their own status information in it.
Now I would like to create a form inside the wiki page in which users
can submit their status reports on a weekly basis and then submit that.
The submitted information must be stored in a way (may be a document)
so that it can be reviewed by senior management. Also, I need a way to archive past
weekly status reports.
Can
someone guide me on this?
Thanks,
AnkitYou need to create a custom list with appropriate fields. Set up security so people can only see the items they have created. You can create a workflow in SharePoint Designer that alerts the appropriate people who need to approve it. Then, you can
edit a Wiki page and drop the list's web part on to the page. -
Want Access Data Grid control in SharePoint 2013?
Hello everyone!
Recently we noticed something funny in SharePoint 2013. While quite many people were hoping to have the datasheet view like those in SP2007 and 2010, Microsoft has chosen a different interface to display datasheet view.
Now, if you try to create a sub site under a publishing site, and use the
Publishing Site template then try to create a datasheet view in the sub site, SharePoint will try to use the Access data grid control to display the view. In some situations the view will display and other situations it will not, and will show this
error:
The list is displayed in Standard view. It cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls,
a component is not properly configured for 32-bit or 64-bit support, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled.
If you create a sub site using Publishing Site with Workflow instead, then the datasheet view will be created properly using SP2013 interface.
Using PowerShell, we can see that both Publishing Portal and
Publishing Site With Workflow are using the BLANKINTERNET 53 template. The
Publishing Site on the other hand is using the CMSPUBLISHING 39 template.
Want to try it out and let me know if that happens to your SharePoint too?Hi Conway,
I tested the issue in my environment per your description and it returned the results as below:
I created a subsite using Publishing site under a team site in SharePoint server 2013, the datasheet view in a list displayed as pic1
I reproduced the issue in SharePoint server 2010, the datasheet view in a list displayed as pic2
It turns out by design the datasheet view in the subsite based on Publishing site template displays as your situation. Here is an article which explains this:

Is there a way to use SharePoint 2010 Datasheet View in SharePoint 2013?
Quick edit mode doesn't meet users' requirement. They want the header freezing and column width adjustable like what they did in SharePoint 2010.
I understand the Datasheet view is achieved by Access ActiveX control. Can this be used in SharePoint 2013? And SharePoint 2013 online?Anyone with a solution to use SP 2010 datasheet AxtiveX control somehow as SP 2013 datasheet view?
Anupam Shrivastava
That wouldn't be possible, this is controlled server-side.

SQL Server Reporting Services & SharePoint 2013
Hi there,
We are developing a web application in sharepoint 2013 in which we are using authentication mode="Windows”. We have used a custom web part containing report viewer control for showing charts and reports, that we have
developed using SSRS ( *.rdl files) and have all the .rdl files within Sharepoint Document Library.
To start with, we were getting the error “Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error. (rsSharePointError) The user does not exist or is not unique.” To fix this, we changed <identity impersonate="false" /> from <identity
impersonate="true" /> at web.config level which did the trick.
However, we are now facing another issue wherein tabular reports are renedered ok in SharePoint through report viewer custom web part but chart based reports are not rendered. The chart image is not displayed.
Can somebody please help with a resolution?
The code snippet for rendering the report is given below for reference purposes
Thanks in advance
Monica
privatevoid
BindReport()
string reportFullPath
= "http://c4968397007/ReportLibrary/Reports/"
+ ReportPath;
litReportHeading.Text = ReportPath;
reportViewerControl.ServerReport.ReportPath = reportFullPath;
reportViewerControl.ServerReport.ReportServerUrl =newUri("http://c4968397007/_vti_bin/ReportServer");
reportViewerControl.ProcessingMode = Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ProcessingMode.Remote;
Microsoft.Reporting.WebForms.ServerReport
serverreport = reportViewerControl.ServerReport;
IReportServerCredentials irsc =newReportViewerCredentials("username","password","domainName");
rvControl.ServerReport.ReportServerCredentials = irsc;
rvControl.ServerReport.Refresh();Hi Monica,
In your case, please check whether your report is render correctly on your report server. If so, I would suggest you to check the version of your Internet Explorer and try to use compatibility view as well.
Another suggestion, please put the chart into a rectangle. Alternatively, can you please install the Microsoft Report Viewer 2010 try to resolve the issue? You can download the Report Viewer 2010 package from the following website:

Access Denied Using REST in SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013 environment
So here is the story. I developed a simple application in InfoPath 2013 (saving as InfoPath 2010) and published to a SharePoint 2010 server.
A major component to my form is the use of REST to query a SharePoint list. Everything works fine and dandy through the web browser within the SharePoint 2010 environment. Now that I have moved the source list to SharePoint 2013, saved the form as InfoPath
2013, reset the REST data connection, and published to SharePoint 2013, I get the following message on the Form Load.

Deploying SSRS Reports to SharePoint 2013 Result in Error
We are trying to deploy SSRS reports developed in VS 2012 to SharePoint 2013. Whenever any user deploys the report, they receive the following error.
Error 1
Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error. --->
Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.SharePointException: Report Server has encountered a SharePoint error. --->
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The list item could not be added or updated because duplicate values were found in one or more fields in the list. --->
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The list item could not be added or updated because duplicate values were found in one or more fields in the list.
Has anyone received this error and know of a solution?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.Hi jbud55,
According to your description, my understanding is that there is an error when you deployed SSRS via to SharePoint 2013.
This error displays that there is a column that does not allow duplicate value in the list. So, please check the list columns.
In addition, as this issue related to SSRS, you can also create a new thread on SQL Reporting Serivces forum, more experts will assist you with SSRS.

Access Services forms/views in SharePoint 2013
So, in my enterprise we're about to upgrade to SP 2013 from 2010, and Office 2013 from 2007. Should be a hoot!
I'm interested in learning more about Access Services. I undertand that Access Services forms, now called views, are based on HTML 5. Can we present an Access form/view in the browser that has conditional formatting like we're used to in InfoPath--the ability
to show/hide form sections based on conditions?
Thanks!
Leon
Leon BryantYes. It is possible but not as flexible as InfoPath. We can still use Infopath BTW.
