Access Peoplesoft applications in Portal.

Hello Guru's,
I have a requirement, to have People soft application, to access from Portal.
To elaborate:
We have some processes or applications on Peoplesoft server. And want to have a link in Portal which will redirect to Peoplesoft application.
Please help me how to do this.
Any inputs really appreciated.

To access Peoplesoft applications from Portal you have two options :
1) By using Appintegrator iView : As all the applications in peoplesoft has their own urls like for attendance regularization, leave applicaion etc., you create appintegrator iview which points to ur peoplesoft application and by doing user-mapping, users can access these applications. 2) By developing application in VC: You can easily create nice looking applications in VC & host them on portal. VC can pull data from peoplesoft in 3 ways :
      - By using WebService : Expose peoplesoft applications as web services and u can easily create model in VC. (Recommended)
      - Directly accessing database using JDBC drivers : Though this approach is not recommended, u can directly connect to peoplesoft database tables and fetch the desired data.
      - iWay JDBC drivers : These are 3rd party drivers available to connect to peoplesoft database.

We locked the User A in R/3 SRM backend system and from Enterprise Portal the same User A login and try to access the SRM application in backend . The system is allowing to access which we want to prevent .

Access deinied error in browser while accessing bsp application in Portal

Hi All,
I'm integrating SRM in to Enterprise portal using SRM business package,in which i access CCM iviews which were buit using BSP Application. EP in one host, and BSP Application resides in another host, so there are 2 different hosts. I define full hostname to both host, example, EPhost.domain.com and BSPhost.domain.com. The iView can be displayed in Portal. However, when I click one of the button or drop down in that iview displayed on the iView's toolbar (e.g. buttons are New, Goto), it gives me "Access is denied".
Any idea to fix this?

Not able to Access Webdypro applications through portal

We are using iviews created using in SAP Web Dynpto iView template in SAP Enterprise Portal 7.0.
Resently, we have migarated server from 32 bit machine to 64 bit machine.
After migration We are facing some problem with web dynpro applications.
Web Dynpro applications can be opened from internet but not from intranet.
We want that applications can be accessed from intranet as well as internet.
Address of Web AS specified in system used by web dynpro applications is in the form <proxy hostname>.<domain>.<extension>:<port-SSL> like xyz.company.net:SSL-Port-Number.
Translation rule is defined on proxy server for converting this address to actual address in the form <server host>.<domain>.<extension>:<port> like serverhostname.company.net:WebASportNumber.
This rule is working when appication is accessed from internet. However, address traslation is not taking place in case of intranet.

Are you getting 500 internal server error when accessing through internet.
Change your Domain name settings and compare your host file settings in both systems.

Access OID Groups in Portal

I've setup item access privileges on a page. I have created a new OID group and attempted to give this group access to this item. I can choose the group, but when it's added, it does not show the group name, rather a number, i.e., (D8F909F2393035B7E0340003BA2183E9).
What can I do to make the group name show up?

Access to application when external and internal address of EP are differen

I have a problem with access to application in portal. I deployed the application (ear) and it is available by address http://noss.inside.bcc.com.pl:54100/forum/index.jsp in our intranet. External address of portal is https://portal.bcc.com.pl. My application is unavailable outside the company, because in url iView there is an address of internal network. I've tried to use relative address /forum/index.jsp, but it doesn't work. Is there any kind of iView, which can solve my problem?

Might be the user you are using is not in the Admin group.
You can assign the user into that group using the Visual admin or
User management by logging using the j2ee_admin user.

I am trying to access an application running on iAS 6 SP2 from iPS 3.0 SP4. App server and the portal server are running on two diff Solaris machines.I am using URL Scrapper. In the application I am trying to get the portal session :

Portal not able to access BSP application in ECC?

HI All,
We have a BSP application on our ECC system and we have hosted it on Portal using the BSP iView.
The ECC is behind the firewall and the Portal is available on internet.
Now when a user tries to access that BSP application through Portal it shows 'Page cant be displayed' page.
Please guide.

Issue resolved.
It was a role issue, we assigned the correct role to the user and issue got resolved.

Portal Runtime Error while accessing BW reports through portal

We are facing portal runtime error(An exception occurred while processing your request. Please send the exception id to your portal administrator) while accessing BI reports through portal frequently.
We are unable to trace the error in the 'default trace' log file and although refreshing the cache solves this issue, it is difficult to explain this to every user individually.

We have implemented the FPN using RRA.
This error comes only for few users when they navigate in Portal. After clearing the cache, it works for all. Kindly help us to resolve this issue.

I solved this error by myself as follows:
So, what I did was; I started the RemoteGui.bat (C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program) and from the Undeployment tab, I selected mainapp01 and com.sap.engine.docs.examples.
The reason I undeployed the above applications was because when I was trying to deploy the mainapp01 application, it gave an error saying that : Cannot deploy application pcbp.com/mainapp01.. Reason: Application alias [/] for application [pcbp.com/mainapp01] already exists in the HTTP Provider Service. The application that holds this alias is [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples .
And, then I restarted the J2EE engine and from the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, I again deployed the mainapp01 application on the local J2EE engine and it was deployed successfully.
